Our house has a four season room with three walls of windows and 4 huge skylights in the ceiling. Birds think they can fly right through the room, and often crash into the glass. Most are just stunned, but sometimes they will hit hit hard enough they break their necks.

That’s outrageous. Firefighters deserve proper accommodations. We can empty entire hotels to house illegals and yet our peace officers sleep on streets? An outrage! I’m over these liberal governments. Traiters. All of them.

The high school property is where on a particularly bad fire season with 2 fronts (that we were in the center of) is where the bulk of the firefighters camped.
Some firefighters were put up in hotels around here but I was told by a hotel owner that the government only pays a max amount that is less than 100$. Usually the ones that came in to eat with me (I asked) that had hotel rooms were the Air crews & pilots of the fire fighting aircraft’s.
Hotels are usually booked solid here for the summer & last I knew during WuFlu were more than 200 a night & govt will not pay that, heck in 2012/13 I received a request to submit “bid” to feed fire fighters a breakfast and a lunch delivered to “un-named & unknown” sites for less than 4$ a meal that had specific inclusions (a can soda) as well as minimum amounts of proteins (meat/cheese & aluminum foil wrapped. (the foil wrap I understand, every FF asked for foil…. once again I asked… it’s to reheat the leftover pizza on the fire coals in the field)
I doubt what they get for that price, I would probably not personally eat tho.
A combo of spam & eggs & potatoes & sliced bread with a slice of “vegetable (soy) oil” cheese as those are the only things I could think of to get to that kinda price point.
As much as I appreciate what they do, that is not a price point I could ever meet as that price back then would barely cover costs & I doubt they offer much more (if any) today.
Pizza… was not an approved item anyway, which was my product.
It is funny to me that the media quoted prices for illegal aliens hotels & included meals somehow get around what they will pay to support the firefighters.
Must come out of a different budget account, or an “un-budgeted” account perhaps. <shrug>

was an American horse trainer who promoted his techniques of natural horsemanship through his Join-Up International organization, named after the core concept of his training method. He believed that horses use a non-verbal language, which he termed “Equus”, and that humans can use this language to communicate with horses. I learned alot from Caesar Milan (from his TV shows) about dog whispering, his techniques worked well, so much so I was then referred to as Caesar… “Magic Wand”.
I had dog sitted for my friends while they went on vacation for a week, and they were shocked to come back & have their dogs sitting and waiting patiently while they unloaded the family van.
Had to give them the rules in the driveway before they came in… no talk, no touch, no eye contact until the dogs were calm & submissive…. they were the whole time.
Their half pit bull (Maverick), even tho he had not seen me for years (once he knew who I was by smell as he mostly lost his sight) would sit calmly @ my feet immediately to get some well deserved attention for being a very good boy.
I got him to stop being a “cat” too which was constantly sitting in their bay window watching / barking at the world, they didn’t really stick with that plan tho.
They have a Belgian Malinois now that could benefit from some Caesar-ing but we are 1300 miles apart now. I do not know how/why they decided to get one of those… too much energy for for their “stage” in life… could be from daughter who I think lives back with them. The Pitty was their son’s dog he was “given” by a cousin who became an EMT & didn’t have time between his 12 or 24 hour shifts to deal with him.

COMMENTARY FOR HEBREWS 4
Humble, cautious fear is urged, lest any should come short of the promised rest, through unbelief. (1-10) Arguments and motives to faith and hope in our approaches to God. (11-16)1-10 The privileges we have under the gospel, are greater than any had under the law of Moses, though the same gospel for substance was preached under both Testaments. There have been in all ages many unprofitable hearers; and unbelief is at the root of all unfruitfulness under the word. Faith in the hearer is the life of the word. But it is a painful consequence of partial neglect, and of a loose and wavering profession, that they often cause men to seem to come short. Let us then give diligence, that we may have a clear entrance into the kingdom of God. As God finished his work, and then rested from it, so he will cause those who believe, to finish their work, and then to enjoy their rest. It is evident, that there is a more spiritual and excellent sabbath remaining for the people of God, than that of the seventh day, or that into which Joshua led the Jews. This rest is, a rest of grace, and comfort, and holiness, in the gospel state. And a rest in glory, where the people of God shall enjoy the end of their faith, and the object of all their desires. The rest, or sabbatism, which is the subject of the apostle’s reasoning, and as to which he concludes that it remains to be enjoyed, is undoubtedly the heavenly rest, which remains to the people of God, and is opposed to a state of labour and trouble in this world. It is the rest they shall obtain when the Lord Jesus shall appear from heaven. But those who do not believe, shall never enter into this spiritual rest, either of grace here or glory hereafter. God has always declared man’s rest to be in him, and his love to be the only real happiness of the soul; and faith in his promises, through his Son, to be the only way of entering that rest.
11-16 Observe the end proposed: rest spiritual and eternal; the rest of grace here, and glory hereafter; in Christ on earth, with Christ in heaven. After due and diligent labour, sweet and satisfying rest shall follow; and labour now, will make that rest more pleasant when it comes. Let us labour, and quicken each other to be diligent in duty. The Holy Scriptures are the word of God. When God sets it home by his Spirit, it convinces powerfully, converts powerfully, and comforts powerfully. It makes a soul that has long been proud, to be humble; and a perverse spirit, to be meek and obedient. Sinful habits, that are become as it were natural to the soul, and rooted deeply in it, are separated and cut off by this sword. It will discover to men their thoughts and purposes, the vileness of many, the bad principles they are moved by, the sinful ends they act to. The word will show the sinner all that is in his heart. Let us hold fast the doctrines of Christian faith in our heads, its enlivening principles in our hearts, the open profession of it in our lips, and be subject to it in our lives. Christ executed one part of his priesthood on earth, in dying for us; the other he executes in heaven, pleading the cause, and presenting the offerings of his people. In the sight of Infinite Wisdom, it was needful that the Saviour of men should be one who has the fellow-feeling which no being but a fellow-creature could possibly have; and therefore it was necessary he should actual experience of all the effects of sin that could be separated from its actual guilt. God sent his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, #Ro 8:3|; but the more holy and pure he was, the more he must have been unwilling in his nature to sin, and must have had deeper impression of its evil; consequently the more must he be concerned to deliver his people from its guilt and power. We should encourage ourselves by the excellence of our High Priest, to come boldly to the throne of grace. Mercy and grace are the things we want; mercy to pardon all our sins, and grace to purify our souls. Besides our daily dependence upon God for present supplies, there are seasons for which we should provide in our prayers; times of temptation, either by adversity or prosperity, and especially our dying time. We are to come with reverence and godly fear, yet not as if dragged to the seat of justice, but as kindly invited to the mercy-seat, where grace reigns. We have boldness to enter into the holiest only by the blood of Jesus; he is our Advocate, and has purchased all our souls want or can desire.

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Evening Prayer For Forgiveness
Heavenly Father, thank You for bringing me through this day and Lord, forgive me for the times when I have wandered outside Your best will for me, instead of trusting You implicitly.
Thank You, that You are such a gracious Shepherd to me and that You come and rescue me even when I lose my way and stray from the path that You have laid out for me.
As I look back over today, I know Lord that there were things that I should have said and done differently, and times when I reacted in a manner that was not honouring Your holy name. Forgive me I pray, but thank You, Father, that You always faithfully prepared to gently bring me back to Yourself.
Give me a good night’s sleep I pray, knowing that there is no condemnation because I am in Christ, and may I wake up in the morning refreshed and ready to do Your will. In Jesus’ name I pray,

Heavenly Father, as I lie down to sleep tonight, I pray that You would guard my sleeping and protect my mind from wandering thoughts and unnecessary planning. Teach me to wait for Your perfect timing and not to try to plan my future in my own strength.
Lord, I know that You have scheduled every day of my life. Help me to trust You in all things and rely on You to lead me along the straight path and guide me in the direction that You would have me to go.
Give me patience to wait for Your perfect timing, and may I not trust in my own abilities and scheming, but rather rest in Your love and trust my future into Your hands.

Man dips finger in Yellowstone hot spring, accidentally falls in and dissolves
A 23-year-old man was vaporized by the extreme heat and acidic water of a Yellowstone hot spring after he slipped into the pool while testing its temperature before taking a dip.
Colin Nathaniel Scott, from Portland, Oregon, had traveled to Yellowstone National Park with his sister, Sable Scott, when the pair ventured away from the safety of the boardwalk at Norris Geyser Basin on June 7, 2016.
The young man was celebrating his graduation from Pacific University and had planned on starting his doctoral program in the fall.
According to Veress, the siblings were searching for somewhere to go “hot potting” – the practice of soaking or bathing in naturally heated geothermal water. While hot potting is permitted in some designated places elsewhere, entering Yellowstone’s thermal features is illegal because of the extreme temperatures and unpredictable conditions.
When they returned the following morning, his wallet and flip-flops were recovered but there was no body left to retrieve.
“In a very short order, there was a significant amount of dissolving,” Veress told KULR.
