In an effort to keep the Daily Open Thread a little more open topic we are going to start a new daily thread for “Presidential Politics”. Please use this thread to post anything relating to the Donald Trump Administration and Presidency.
This thread will refresh daily and appear above the Open Discussion Thread.

Opinion: Y’know, I’m really getting tired of people talking endlessly about “the mid-terms,” and how Trump is going to melt down (through election fraud or otherwise) when they come. Enough already!
The Framers of our Constitution purposely defined a set of overlapping 2, 4, and 6-year terms. Significant turnovers therefore happen every year, and they are “out of sync.” Every single President including George Washington has faced them. “This is by design.”
It is therefore up to the voters to decide what happens next – and also up to the voters to see to it that their vote isn’t stolen.
Not the Press, not the Courts, and certainly not the Politicians.
The Framers of our Constitution constructed a very elaborate and resilient system – and then didn’t trust any of it. The only party that they did trust was: “We, the People.” And it’s our job to see to it, every single day, that this trust was earned.
In writing the language that they did, as they did, they were never trying to “protect us from ourselves.” They did not claim to know what the future would hold. Instead, they gave us the tools to deal with whatever happened next. (As well as the two-angled power to Amend them. No, they didn’t trust Congress, either.)
So: “When things go wrong,” as they inevitably have and still will do, “do not blame the Constitution, nor the authors thereof.” The true responsibility (and, duty to fix it …) is ours.
Not disagreeing with your oveall point, but it is NOT as the Framer’s intended.
The repeal of the 17th amendment destroyed the framers intention to hold the US Senators accountable to their constituents.
The senators were supposed to be voted in by the state legislature. It’s easy to buy two Senators. It’s not easy to buy an entire state legislature held accountable to their constituents. .
I agree in principle with your assessment.
Now, having said that, history also tells us that there were plenty of problems (in actual practice) with the old system. State Legislatures proved to be an easy target for corruption, and sometimes their power to appoint Senators left their constituents (and, other parties) feeling betrayed. Because the old system effectively concentrated … their (corrupting) influences … when it was conceived to concentrate the power of “the People.”
Many books have been written about this dichotomy, and I have a few of them on my shelves.
However: As we all saw with the mistake of “Prohibition,” any Amendment can be repealed. If we can get enough people across the country to agree – and BTW nothing less is allowed – we can “fix it.”
Continuing . . .
Some authors said that the old system “created a magnifying lens for inevitable corruption.”
Others have suggested, as a pragmatic solution, that we now (leave the 19th in place(?) and …) Constitutionally impose term limits across the board, as many other Nations have done.
Including, perhaps, for the Judiciary. (Again, other Nations provide some precedent, albeit with mixed results.)
It’s not easy, nor obvious . . . But then again, it never has been.
The only acceptable term limit is a free and fair election. How else do we reward good performance and punish the bad?
Any competent professional hones their craft over many years. Can you imagine if doctors or electricians or plumbers were automatically kicked off the job and forced to keep starting a new trade?
There are some excellent contenders for office who would do a phenomenal job *if* elections were held fairly *and* their tenures were affected by their performance on the job.
The last thing we need is a bunch of newbies/ lame ducks at every election cycle, whose tenures are *not* at all affected by job performance. In fact, politicians often do their absolute worst when they’re already on their way out the door, because their imminent departure removes the incentive to answer to their constituents. And those with bad intent will have no time to waste out the starting gate either.
Communism removes the incentive to work harder, and this is no different.
In my interpretation of “term limits” (and yes, it varies …), you are simply forced to “take one term off.” You are not excluded from running – and perhaps winning – again.
This is distinct from the apparently absolute limits concerning the Presidency.
I’m thinking Tillis from NC and that Cornhole feller from Texas!
I suggest you read those books.
We have Term Limits Now: it’s called don’t vote them in again.
It’s called win the elections.
It’s called get everyone participating in the process, by voting for starters.
Republicans have a big problem with not voting in the numbers we should be- there are more of us, but guess what, we don’t get our asses off the couch and vote.
I think that the concept of “term limits” is definitely linked to the idea that “voting,” in actual practice, is too easily manipulated. (Consider for example: “Tammany Hall.”)
The “legal limit” forces “a break.” Maybe only for a single term. But it forces it, nonetheless.
For instance, in my home state of Georgia, the current Governor cannot, by law, run for another consecutive term. He must “sit it out.”
I personally think that this is a sound and pragmatic idea, because it effectively disrupts an undesirable process, if (or if not) it exists, without directly confronting it. If you’re absolutely “the cat’s meow” of what the people actually still want, then we just granted you a brief vacation. “See you soon.”
Agreed. If people were smarter, they would never vote for the same candidate twice. Better yet, outlaw political parties entirely.
What you say is true to a point. We have at least 18 State Legislatures controlled by democrats and more than few questionable ones controlled by Uni-Party Republicans.
“To a point?” No, “by design.” States must devise their own affairs, supposedly(!) as their citizens see fit, and they are certainly not “all the same.” They’re not supposed to be.
(I have traveled to “all fifty.” No! They are certainly not the same!)
If the often-proposed “First Constitutional Convention” actually happens, then I expect “a jolly good fight.” One that has been far too long in coming.
But if you look at the “vote counts” on any Amendment, they have almost always been “far from ‘unanimous.'” Again, this is by design.
After all: In our 250-year history, we have had a grand total of twenty-seven “Amendments.” (The latest one being “line #2” on the original Bill of Rights document!) And our Constitution is still only two handwritten pages long! Contrast this with, say, the “European Union!” Or almost any other country.
Some might say that we have all been asleep at the switch . . . but, then again, I kinda like it that way.
Interesting points. No matter what the rules there are always those who will find a way around them to gain advantage.
The founders were brilliant by leveraging a balance of power. The most powerful intelligent and ruthless pitted against the same in the other branches of government.
My thought is that as TPTB shift over time in the individual States, it would organically result in term limits for the US Senators. Competing powerful interests in the states would churn the electoral waters. With the people breathing down their representatives neck every two years, reps voting for unpopular US senators would take the heat for unpopular decisions that negatively affect various constituent groups. As that churns the statehouse, it will churn TPTB. We won’t be eternally stuck with these lifelong losers like Mitch or Pelosi paid $$$$ to represent global or national interests instead of state concerns.
Well, “the State House of Georgia” don’t exactly impress me much . . .
So: The question is … as these State Senators advance their chosen two people to the US Senate, do they advance the interests of the People, or merely of their own Benefactors? Do these people “fairly represent the people,” or merely “concentrate” their own interests?
History wasn’t pretty.
There simply isn’t an easy answer for this.
“The proper course for America” wasn’t settled 250 years ago. Our own hands still have to be on the wheel. We still need to remain focused on the national angle, and if necessary still be willing and able to Amend.
I don’t know that we are ever going to eliminate the percentage of representatives that benefit from their own benefactors as opposed to The People. I also would wager that percentage is fairly high.
What our system does do (or was designed to do) is allow the people to vote them out when they become odious enough for the people to smell their stench.
The balance of power expects our rulers to be ruthless and corrupt. The 3 branches and the bill of rights is designed to prevent anyone from getting too MUCH power.
It works because when they do, other smart, powerful and ruthless beat them over the head with their own rule book to please their masters.
It’s a mess now because it’s so corrupt the system is completely broken. They are all in cahoots. It’s one big criminal cabal working together. It needs to somehow be reset. Without voter integrity we are sunk.
The level of corruption is really the roots of the issues, Elon has said this, remember he’s had a good look at the scale of it doing his DOGE job.
Agree. The theft of taxpayer money to pursue their agenda and buy elections is the main hurdle we the people face.
Instead of term limits why not have a system that evaluates job performance and publishes that “rating” for all to know when they make their voting decision. Each state could have their own ratings that reflect the population, but must reach a minimum standard set by all the states agreeing to the minimums.
The federal government simply enforces the standards that states agree upon. We have these systems in place for consumer products. All the companies that produce products and some consumers work within a consortium that develops standards for safety, etc. A process is in place to make changes and perform testing where results are provided to consumers in an “approval” or not.
The MNGOP has a process where candidates for office are vetted by a local committee and a “qualified” or “not qualified” is provided delegates before they vote for officers or local and state candidates. It works somewhat but it’s a start. It could be enhanced to cover on the job performance and those results given to not just delegates but the general public.
I was part of a committee that did this but the establishment didn’t like our results, so they broke the rules, disregarded our findings, and eventually removed the executive officers that tried to do things a little better rather than conform to the RINO ideas that lose elections and never change.
The chair and vice chair of our senate district were threatened with lawsuits by the MNGOP unless they resigned. The MNGOP chair was eventually thrown out but the new one is almost just as bad. RINO’s still rule for awhile.
We have groups trying but there is not enough support yet.
https://rebuildthemngop.com/
That’s great that you have dine those things!
I’ve always thought that there should be a way to hold candidates accountable for promising to vote one way in their campaigns and then voting for another.
That’s fraud. I know they say “circumstances changed” but they should be required to follow through on stated promises or be subject to liability from constituents.
A Constitutional Convention isn’t needed, actually following the Constitution as written IS needed.
Much of why we’re here is because it’s not been followed.
Completely agree!
What’s funny and ironic the assignment of Senators was moved away from the legislators because that processes supposedly fostered corruption. Why anybody thought making Senators essentially federal employees with no term limits and life-time tenure would be better, I have no idea. But, that’s where we are today.

You are not acknowledging the amount of corruption that we’re dealing with that is now so bad that DC is called A Swamp.
Nothing at all that the Framers did can work right with such levels of Corruption- several of them told us this outright.
John Adams was very clear when he said that “Our Constitution was made ONLY for a moral and religious people and is Wholly Inadequate to the government of any other”
We are entirely NOT what we were supposed to be, which is why so much is not working.
So to dismiss this giant elephant in the room is sorta silly.
Given that we’re dealing with Communism now rising, and an Islam problem, in addition to voting illegals and a Democrat party that really should be shut down for being a terrorist organization, I’d say that a whole lot of concern about the upcoming Mid-Terms is pretty valid and justified.
What you’re saying is nice, Mike, but we simply cannot afford to turn the House and Senate over to the lunatic Democrats and them let them impeach and obstruct what few victories we have! We need to immediately…
A: End Iran Conflict
B: End Ukraine Conflict
C: Lower Oil price
D: Lower Gas price
E: Lower Inflation
F: Lower Mtg rates
G: Lower Car loans
H: Lower Tbill rates
The formula for beating the Democrats is widely known by everyone especially President Trump. The problem is sticking to the formula and not getting constantly sidetracked! 🙄
My 2 cents: no matter what, the corruption will exist. We are all human, after all.
The difference in having Senators selected by legislators, is the corruption is more visible to the citizens in their respective states. Or at least, it can be more visible.
The corruption in WDC is mostly invisible… I have a picture in my head about how it came to be that way, but I am too hot and too bothered to try to put it towards right now. (Enjoying the southwest heat wave).
Repealing the 17th amendment would move things back to be more localized. This is the trend for so many aspects of our society. I believe we really need to promote and push and make “local, local, local” happen.
Emphasizing local, does not mean isolating one locale from another. It means running all components of civil society from a local nexus.
Purposely done to denigrate the U.S. Palate cleanser in the second video.

Based on Kendall’s opinion, I expected it to be worse than it was.
There have been so many “singers” over the decades who felt compelled to try to do stuff they were not capable of doing – and so many more who just had to prove (on that last phrase) that they could go higher and scream longer than anyone before them. Because they think it’s about them. I often turn the audio off when the anthem is being sung because there’s a pretty good chance it’s going to be weird.
This old lady might be a has been, but I could sure hear the depth and breadth of her vocal gifts in many portions.
The whole presentation (costumes included) did seem like a sendup of sorts.
My favorite version; gives me goose bumps.
Dan Vasc heavy metal singer
Oh wow!!!! Goose bumps indeed! He absolutely can sing and that was probably the proudest, most deliberate rendition I have heard.
Thanks for sharing that, PAW!
Yeah, that was a very powerful WAR SONG, he put lots of Feelings into that song. That star spangled FLAG … was capturing , very Intense battle going on, … and he put his heart and soul into that song. Thanks for posting that song.
That singer is from Brazil.
Wow.
Classically trained I would wager.
He sure did strain those pipes. And yes, sang it like a warrior, Rich.
wow…..very powerful voice……
Reminds me of the “heavy metal version of” Simon & Garfunkle’s Sound of Silence.
Paul Simon allegedly said that “Disturb’s” version of the song now officially “owned” it. (And, I agree.)
No, not the “official music video” version of it … this one:
12 seconds I cannot unhear! That should be fined or something.
The singer is Martha Reeves, of Martha and the Vandellas.
She is 85 YO and, I assume, suffering from dementia.
I seriously doubt that she would want to be remembered by this performance.
It’s really sad that somebody pushed her out there to do this.
Never tire of this song!
Hubby performs it; a good friend performed it with her trio in Seattle area, 1980s, rocked it.
Martha had a fabulous voice.
BTW, Marvin Gaye co-wrote the song for this “girl group”, 1964, for those who didn’t have the good fortune to dance their patooty off when it was on the radio. (Wait what? What’s a radio? 😂😂😂)
We used it as motivation to neatly stack 8 cord of wood on my front porch years ago.
Had a line of about 8 people from the huge pile of wood in front of house, to the last person up on the porch.
Turned on the Martha and the Vandellas Greatest Hits album and kicked off the wood toss with Dancing in the Streets.
Had a blast tossing the wood up the line to the music and a beautiful, neat, stack of wood across the porch in no time flat!
Highly recommended as motivation to do a huge job that you really aren’t wanting to do. It becomes **fun**!!
Thank you, Martha!
Well, for another view point, I never liked the song and hated it even more when Van Halen did a cover of it. Just another opinion……….
Like how Jill did with Joe in 2020. Elder abise.
I bet the dogs in that neighborhood are still howling
For those who advocate for sending hiring companies of illegals to jail, let me explain, hypothetically of course, how they protect themselves from the risks of hiring illegals.
Big Rotissierie Chicken (“BRC”) is a producer, packager and distributor of chickens that sells to all of the major grocery chains those yummy bagged chickens Americans seem to love at pretty cheap prices, relatively. They need to pay below prevailing wage in order to make any money but know they run risks of employing illegal invaders directly. So, they don’t.
Si Senor Staffing, LLC (“SSS”) approaches them to fully outsource the employee hiring and compliance process for their line workers. SSS is a thinly capitalized LLC that is majority owned by the cartels and pledges in their contract that all workers will comply with I9 and e-verify, “we triple promise”. SSS is the actual employer of the illegal invaders and BRC pays an hourly fee per worker to SSS to supply the labor force. SSS sweeps its weekly profits through to some bank box in Cuidado Suarez.
“Gee, Mr. Fed, SSS promised us under the terms of our contract that they would only employ legal residents. How were we to know?” When the Feds show up to SSS HQ, it is simply a PO Box in Galveston.
The owners of BRC make large political donations to their state’s senate candidates. Hosts various pols on their private jet and let them use their second home on the beach for “junkets”. They make large contributions to Big State U football and sponsor the local little league where little Austin is competing against a lot of kids named Manuel, Jose and Fernando. Everyone is happy with the status quo and advocates against any sort of accountability.
And 1860’s producers of Cotton would have surely said the same, had they needed to.
If one were to dig, this cartel scheme looks a lot like indentured servitude. SSS may pay the illegal invader work force something, but my guess would be that many are there under duress and any threat to leave or actually leave would come with a very high personal cost back home in MX.
If BRC knows that SSS is owned by cartels or observes that SSS lacks the capitalization to legally employ and insure a massive workforce, a court would likely rule that BRC should have known the workers were unauthorized. The “triple promise” in the contract would be viewed as a sham designed to facilitate illegal hiring rather than a genuine compliance measure.
The DOJ and Immigration and Customs Enforcement can and should investigate such arrangements, looking for evidence that the primary employer turned a blind eye to obvious red flags regarding the staffing agency’s legitimacy.
The involvement of cartel ownership elevates this from a civil immigration violation to a potential criminal enterprise issue. By contracting with an entity owned by cartels, BRC could face charges under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act. The “sweeping of profits” to a foreign location suggests money laundering, and BRC’s payments to SSS could be construed as facilitating this financial crime – Money laundering.
One high profile CEO in prison for 10 years and it all stops. Everywhere.
A real prison where that high profile CEO gets passed around like a pack of menthols.
Totally agree with you and Mrs S, but you know how the tap dance goes:
“Mistakes were made. We’ve updated our due diligence policies to include best practices. We will do better and will pay the small fine (without admitting any wrong doing). Now pls
go away.
You are right, but the problem is our corrupt Congress. They could fix it tomorrow if the Congress had the will.
Jeesh, I can think of ways to solve it overnight, but so what? They don’t want it solved. Too much money in human trafficking.
We need voter integrity and an honest FBI/DOJ. We don’t have that.
yep.
Everything is fake. Everything is corrupt. Everything is a crime against us/you going on everywhere.
It isn’t sustainable. We either need to break free, or they need to come out and just let us know we are in non-free country and we are formally slaves. I hate having it be one way on the surface and another in reality.

Got to think this through. If I do this my car will no longer be a social virtue signaling virgin and will open it up to vandalism from the crazy. But what a message and I do want to rub it in.

That’s what happens when you have beta leftist morons running the police department of your city.
Notice how he never mentioned his father just his mother? Wonder why? Under our welfare programs mothers with children don’t need a husband or male partner and children don’t need a father or male figure to get our tax dollars to live off! More children = more money! What could possibly go wrong? Wonder if he has a rap sheet and how long?
Pathetic coward.
A nice peaceful bulldozer would solve it at no cost because many would volunteer to crush all that junk.
One lesson I learned in the business world, if you are GOOD at your job, it means someone else isn’t and your life will be hell until you leave for another job….
Also, people like to take credit for what you did…. and you leave for another job.
Definitely a good meme, Miss Betsy!
I know this, dear Observer, through watching my daughter who is exceedingly good at her job in the business world.
This is the situation she faces every single day, and she has moved to other companies, giving her all and then some, finding the exact same situation.
Trite, but wash, rinse, repeat is an actual thing.
She is very careful to not tell everything she knows, and thus holds an ace card when management thinks any youngster (who doesn’t have her work ethic or sense of loyalty) could replace her for less money. She knows it…and so do they.
What a cut throat, soulless place is the business world, perhaps more than the political one. It’s a toss up.
Which President Trump knows only too well and probably why he is so successful playing them at their own game.
Bless, girl….thank you.
Smaller companies behave differently and that’s where I’ve found my sweet spot.
Learned early with employment, the more you do the more they let you do. Compensation? Not so much.
Zero worries, opened my own business. Ironically, a few years into owning my own company, the wife of former business owner where I had worked, hired me for a consultation !
That wasn’t my experience. I always did my best to help my workmates to solve their problems and learn from me. Eventually I became what they used to call a graybeard and I was often sought out for consultation and for difficult assignments.
That is how it should be, but in my profession (male dominated at the time), that was not how it went.
I copied this awhile ago,
Folks! Think about this for a moment…
We are paying 535 members of Congress Millions to do nothing.
535 x $174,000 (Avg. Salary) = 93,090,000 + Benefits
We are paying Donald Trump nothing, to do everything….This too is madness!
Rousseau…
“To be sane in a world of madmen is in itself madness.”
That’s exactly how I feel, Dave.
In it, not of it.
(Similarly, I saw this…19 days in session in the past 90 days, total pay for that period $43,000. Infuriating.)

Why doesn’t Senator Paul subpoena Debra Birx?
Or Bill Gates?
Now that would be an interesting inquiry! Especially after finding out the dratsab had a Q clearance!
Or Dr. Christine Grady.
Evade he would be forced to actually do something.
Mamdani may be the straw that breaks the camel’s back, but the dromedary caravans were headed south long before his arrival!
IRS records show 892 companies have left New York City between 2020 and 2024, taking $47 billion in revenues with them! Florida and Texas were the main beneficiaries of these moves.
Mamdani responds to the exodus with a pied-à-terre tax, targeting “richer and whiter” neighborhoods that he promises will add $500 million annually to his new workers’ urban paradise.
So, if I’m to understand MMM, (Mamdami’s Marxist Math), 500 million in new revenue vs nearly 50 billion in lost revenue will fill the pockets of all the city’s illegal indigents looking for a handout rather than a hand up!
I nearly forgot to mention the ten major companies in the process of either leaving the Big Apple or shifting a major portion of their operations to the Sun Belt, including Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, Charles Schwab, Citadel and Wells Fargo!
And how do the progressive New York watchers in the Left Coast workers paradise of California respond to all this?
The California Democrat Party just voted overwhelmingly to approve a new tax on billionaires, that’s how!
What all the Demo-commies seem to forget is the United States of America isn’t the Soviet Union. All these companies are able to move to other sovereign states where they are more welcome!
That’s exactly what’s happening…just as our Founding Fathers intended!
“500 million in new revenue vs nearly 50 billion in lost revenue”
Yes, but they are running out of money NOW, thanks to Trump. Next year they will just tax all those with incomes of 500 million+.
“ will fill the pockets of all the city’s illegal indigents looking for a handout rather than a hand up!”
Lol! Not a penny will end up in their pockets. It will all end up in the pockets of the powerfully connected. The illegals problem will be left to magnify and the increased crisis will be used to justify taxing those 500 mill and below next year.
Same trick. Works everytime.
Oops..those 500 mill and ABOVE.
Then when all those people move away they will drop the tax to 250 million, then 100 mill,
etc., etc., until they simply seize the means of production to “fix” the problems their taxes created.
They will then promise everyone free food and free healthcare. It will be free because it won’t exist.

How do people feel about Ralph Norman for Lyndsey Graham’s Senate seat?
He’s better than the dead Israel first warmonger’s sister.
if he has a heartbeat and he is not lindsey, count me in
Thought this was Ralph NORTHAM. Had to do a double take!!
Was he in blackface?
No
He nothing more than a local establishment suit!
I know Lyndsay made a big deal out of his past but people grow and change so I am for Lynch
Lynch is gonna get his butt kicked this time, just like last time.
We are leaning towards Russell Fry as he is 100% MAGA. Ralph Norman is not….
Fry (age 41) is probably the better MAGA choice.
Norman (age 72) supports Pres. Trump, but endorsed his good friend Haley in 2024, and he is showing his age. Also has some skeletons in his closet.
Norman’s age is definitely a detriment to being a 6yr senator! He needs to retire…
Not so much his actual age; both President Trump and Gov. McMaster are older than Norman and both still have their fastball working.
It’s the way Norman has aged. He just doesn’t seem to have what it takes any more. Maybe I’ve only seen him (which isn’t much) on his bad days.
My Rep. Joe Wilson is the same way. Getting long in the tooth to begin with, then had a minor stroke. I really thought he would retire; SC-2 is a safe district. But he is still running and his son will most likely become governor.
I liked Ralph Norman until he supported Nikki Haley in the Republican primary for President in 2024. I am not fond of Reid Hoffman, the Democrat billionaire who was a major donor to Nikki Haley’s campaign.
The Virginia Republican Party is despicable. They have 3 candidates running against Warner. Two worked for the CIA and the 3rd ran a Cybersecurity business. The email telling me of the primary had no links to the candidates. The primary is tomorrow August eighth. I cannot see even bothering to vote, and that is what they want.
They hate us. This is frying pan to the fire.

One day this will all work out when Jesus comes. Lord have mercy on us!!
August 4th is tomorrow.
One of the former CIA agents will win. History shows us that this will be the case.
We have multiple former CIA agents in the Senate already. Democrats I believe.
They got tired of blackmailing politicians with sex and bribery and decided to install their puppets directly.

Hubby and I left in 2022… escaped to the wonderful state of South Carolina… best thing we ever did 😀
Welcome to God’s country!
I have started to look for the door. Virginia is a pretty nice state for a lot of things. It is quickly becoming Virginiafornia…
All three are data center candidates. 6 new centers are proposed for Frederick county, they are running out of room in Prince William.
Data Centers are a lot better than Section 8 Apartments filled with 3rd World Immigrants on your vacant land. You don’t have to pay for…
A: Police
B: EMTs
C: Schools
D: Teachers
E: ER and hospital
F: Heath care
G: Prisons
H: Transportation
In the long run they are a lot cheaper!
I cannot see even bothering to vote, and that is what they want.
Why don’t you show them, and vote anyway? If you know they are doing this, why are you caving to their methods? Are you part of it and trying to influence others NOT to vote? It sure looks like it to me. One of those candidates is at least worth holding your nose and voting for, because if you stay home, you deserve democrats.
I half way feel that way. They have TDS in Virginia so bad!
I cannot begin to tell you all how bad things are in socialist Minnesota.
I told my husband this morning that people have been killed over digging up dirt and reporting it, and that is exactly what I’ve been doing.
Whenever Sundance asks whether he should go and fight or take the safer road, I always say go and fight; what is life if not to fight for what is right? And what is right if not the Lord and His righteousness?
Now I know the Bible says Christians are not to become encumbered by the things of this world, and our army is that of the Lord. So I fight a fight within myself about what to do.
But things are bad here in northern Minnesota.
The dems in charge throughout the state are changing the laws without changing a single law.
How?
The SoS did what he always does; he wrote a how-to manual for working elections, and in paraphrasing the laws he changes the meaning of words, which in turn changes the intent of the laws.
They’ve always done that, but we caught them and sued them in 2020 — but they are doing the same thing again in 2026, and much worse than before.
They are allowing people who say they are Republican to sign up to be election judges. Minnesota law says there has to be party balance in election judges at polling places, but if they allow anyone who says they are Republican to work one of the Republican slots, Dems will fill out paperwork and say they are Republican to ensure all the workers are democrats.
There are very specific guidelines on selecting election judges, but dems are making all kinds of “changes” that are blowing the damn wide open.
The second thing is all of our election judges are being told they no longer need to count the ballots.
The laws say differently.
The SoS how-to book said the local governing people can decide what to do, but that is no where in any law, it’s just what he wrote in a handbook and now the people who actually think they are kings and queens running elections are saying we no longer can count the ballots.
We are told we MUST NOT count the ballots.
Totally against Minnesota law.
If you are from Minnesota and work the elections read the documents you should have gotten from your county auditor or the person in your county who runs your elections. Because somewhere in there you should see this information. . . unless we are being used to show the rest of the state how to cheat next election — the Presidential election.
I’m sure I sound crazy, but this is huge. HUGE.
And I’m not suicidal, and my breaks work well, but I’m telling you. . .the socialists around here are an evil hive and I put nothing past them.
Not sure I understand Raven. If election workers don’t count the ballots, the machine count and check-in count can’t sync with the ballots counted as given out. All three have to match before a precinct can turn in their election package. There is also a registration slip given when you check in that gets you a ballot. Those slips have to match also.
During the day those slips are monitored regularly and compared to the machine count and the check-in count so that if a discrepancy arises, election workers can back up and reconcile. I am in Hennepin County where we use paper ballots run through a machine that creates an image and tallies votes. Precincts don’t know the vote tallies but they absolutely must keep track of how many people versus ballots given out versus spoiled ballots versus ballots counted.
There are times I’ve seen where people get so frustrated with language or marking the little oval or whatever, when the machine keeps rejecting their ballots they just say forget it. Those also must be counted and tracked along with accidental destruction of paper ballots. I’ve seen people told 3 times how to fill out a ballot and still can’t get it to where the machine accepts. In those cases, if they choose to disclose their vote, can work with the head judge and the other party judge to get the ballot filled out so the machine accepts it, while all the ballots they spoil must be tracked.
The stuff I am talking about is way bigger than one voter issues.
We are being told that at the end of election day we can no longer count the ballots, and that the “counting system,” which used to be called the voting system or voting tabulator, will now give the final ballot count of the night.
We have been told we WILL NOT COUNT BALLOTS, in a very clinched teeth way.
And yet. . .
https://www.revisor.mn.gov/statutes/cite/204C.24
(I’ll put the other links in other messages)
are all current Minnesota statutes that say ballots must be counted, even if they go through an electronic voting system.
Check out this 2026 Minnesota Election Judge Manual. I haven’t read it yet, but understand it has a lot of discrepancies from the way we’ve always done things. I don’t mind if things change, but they better have a revised statute or rule in place saying exactly what the change is or they will be breaking the law.
https://sos.mn.gov/media/lglkr552/election-judge-manual.pdf
If you get a chance to review the manual, please let me know if you find issues with what is written there.
I’ll be holding a meeting tonight to discuss possibly putting an ad in the local paper letting people know that things are not quite right in our county courthouse. Because whether the manual is right or not, no one in authority here has shown me that what they are doing is backed by Minnesota law.
My original reply to you went to awaiting approval.
Maybe too many links. . .
I’ll change and send two messages.
https://www.revisor.mn.gov/statutes/cite/203B.121
https://www.revisor.mn.gov/statutes/cite/206.86
Dang, these two messages came through, but the original, longer message is still awaiting approval. . .
Yes, too many links will get you in a waiting line.
I have to ask, is it ballots(pieces of paper) they don’t want you counting or do they mean don’t tabulate(count) the votes? You literally MUST count how many ballots are used during election day or the election can’t be certified. What if check-in showed 3 people came to vote but 300 paper ballots have removed from the allotment and not been accounted for?
Mike, I hope you will see this message.
Minnesota law absolutely says we are to count the paper ballots once election day is over. It is written in many areas of the law.
But Simon’s MO is to write training manuals where the meanings of words are changed, and by doing that the law is changed also.
He has been doing that for years.
Minnesota now has many areas throughout the state where ballots are only counted by machines, never by hand. And they are now telling us that machines are the best, safest way to count.
Nope. Never. Worked my entire life in IT/IS and I don’t buy it for one second.
Even if I did, the law says to count the ballots after the election ends.
They will force this on everyone if we do not end it now.
Please, read the training manual for yourself and see all the laws they are trying to break there.
No counting other than by getting the number off the “counting machine” printout.
No longer do two people from different political parties need to take the final paperwork to the county auditor, nope, in the manual they are saying one person can do it. Yes, it only takes one person to cheat and change the vote, too.
Plus there are places in the manual where they forgot to cover all the bases so it will say one thing one place and the opposite thing somewhere else.
Here is the manual. Get a yellow highlighter, cause you’ll need it.
https://sos.mn.gov/media/lglkr552/election-judge-manual.pdf
Please, PLEASE, come with us on this quest to not let the Democrats cheat in this election.
Lastly, when you find things they are doing or saying that are illegal, you can fill out a HAVA form letting Simon and your county auditor know they are not following Minnesota statutes.
Wow, almost identical to what hobbs did as sos in AZ…got installed, rewrote election procedures, etc…
This was done very quietly until 2020, by then she was governor, vetoing 73+ election integrity bills!!

oh i think they knew EXACTLY the rational trap they were in, and chose “library card” very carefully.
Wait – requiring ID will disadvantage all the women and minorities and they won’t be able to buy groceries (same logic used by Dims about requiring IDs for voting).
Meanwhile, in Michigan:

“In 2020-2021, when I observed weirdo monopolists like Bill Gates pushing the new mRNA vaccine—and the bizarre religiosity with which the program was embraced—I got the overwhelming impression that our “scientific-technological elite” (as Eisenhower called it) was suffering from severe hubris.
This hubris compelled them to intervene in the complex system of the human body about which they possessed limited understanding. Thus, I feared that all kinds of strange and unexpected ills would likely result from their dangerous experiment on all of humanity.
I also got the overwhelming impression that the fanatical pursuit of vaccination for EVERYONE was so that these Luciferian ghouls could eliminate the existence of a large control group of unvaccinated people. They understood that a large control group would make it significantly harder for them to obscure the true result of their experiment. “

I’m okay with repealing the right for women to vote. It would actually make life better for everyone.

I was just reading she knew him and his wife through a “ministry” serving refugees. His American wife (looks attractive and otherwise normal) turned him in. She must be thinking now that at some point it would have been her. Sad for that Scottish woman and her family. Her father the lawyer must be thinking what was it all for? He probably worked his tail off so she could have all the advantages and be a SJW among the refuse of Greece.
Speak for yourself… that right to vote was fought for and gives equal status. Or would you prefer women be subservient to men, as it is in mossie households?
These women being murdered by the third world are obviously unaware of the dangers they put themselves in. Suicide by empathy.
Thank you.
Don’t take his bait.
We will just have to disagree.

Someone tells his wife she is being caged against her will.
She tears down the fence and announces her equality!

Coffee and Covid today on Dana Bash/RFKjr interview:
“The interview proved that we’ve allowed a dark passenger to be smuggled into the public debate. That dark passenger is an attack on the foundations of our Constitutional framework itself. A technocratic group of largely self-appointed experts is attempting to use “pandemic preparedness” to amend the Constitution and flip it on its head.”

The same unstated exceptions to the United States were created by the Civil Rights Act, which was long interpreted as being more important than the Constitution.
Scott Adams (Dilbert) would’ve had a field day with that “interview”.
Wish I could’ve seen it.
Bash is a Big Pharma Shill reading from their Talking Points.
For starters, they are not even Vaccines. Mad Scientists abandoned the Inoculation Model for these Genetic-Altering Experiments, which hijacks your body to produce the poison. They changed all the other definitions, too; immunizes, herd immunity, safe and effective, etc.

FTA:
Headline + lede: ‘U.S. general warns Pentagon he lacks sufficient forces to protect Israel
A shortage of Navy destroyers, used to defend against Iranian ballistic missile attacks, will force the head of U.S. European Command to prioritize the U.S. homeland instead, officials said.’
More FTA:
“ The top U.S. general in Europe privately warned the Pentagon this week that he lacks sufficient naval forces to continue protecting Israel from incoming ballistic missiles, officials said, illustrating how the ongoing Iran war has imposed constraints on the military.
Gen. Alexus Grynkewich, the head of U.S. European Command, sent written notification to senior Pentagon officials saying that without another Navy destroyer he will be forced to choose defense of the United States “homeland” over that of Israel, said the officials, who like some others spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the correspondence.
“A U.S. defense official said Grynkewich’s notification appears consistent with past outreach to the Pentagon from the military’s top generals when they see certain risks that require Washington’s consideration. This can occur, the official said, as commanders compete for finite resources and weapons.
“The Pentagon declined to comment. U.S. European Command did not respond to requests for comment. A spokesperson for the Israeli Embassy in Washington could not be reached for comment.”

Another reason to have a well and septic system.
“Since 27 July 2026, Water and Wastewater Sector (WWS) utility companies in at least seven states have reported incidents to the FBI, and some of that activity degraded water operations.”

I frankly question these stories.
A “PLC = Programmable Logic Controller” is an extremely low-level “chip,” certainly with no “internet awareness.” It can only respond to commands given directly to it by higher-level circuits. (Basically, the whole thing exists to avoid another layer of discrete circuitry.)
Therefore: “Can some unknown actor, working only through the Internet, actually twist that particular valve by abusing the PLC that happens to control it?” If stated in this way, I think you can anticipate the proper answer.
Now, if there is a “hole” in the higher-level control software, then this is an entirely different matter. But this now becomes a fairly generic “software penetration” issue that isn’t particularly linked to water.
You have no idea what you are talking about. You could not be more wrong.

Zelenskiy dismisses Ukraine’s ambassador to US
https://www.reuters.com/world/ukraines-ambassador-us-stefanishyna-dismissed-by-presidential-decree-2026-08-03/
Aug 3 (Reuters) – President Volodymyr Zelenskiy dismissed Ukraine’s ambassador to the United States, Olha Stefanishyna, in a decree published on Monday.
Stefanishyna had been in her job for nearly a year. Her departure had been expected for several weeks.
Her departure coincides with a shake-up in recent weeks of top officials, including the replacement of the prime minister and defence minister. A reshuffle of Ukraine’s diplomatic and ambassadorial appointments is also expected.
Stefanishyna, writing on Facebook, said the decision to leave her post was “my own decision, driven by personal circumstances … ” and said she had accomplished much during her time in the post.
“We boosted the supply of American weapons and maintained support right when the political climate in Washington was changing and not in our favour,” she wrote.
Ukraine’s Suspilne public broadcaster quoted Stefanishyna last week as telling reporters in Washington that Zelenskiy had not sought her resignation.
Stefanishyna said on Facebook that she would address other questions about her circumstances that have arisen in the media.
Ukrainian media outlets said she had informed the president of her intention to leave her post last month. The reports referred to long-running investigations into alleged irregularities in her asset declaration.

Are the rumors I hear true, that the turtle is gonna die tomorrow?
Rumor probably started by Democrats since they want a special election for the vacancy. That way, they get a Democrat on the ballot for the right to fill out the remainder of McConnell’s term, which expires on December 31. Once we get to August 5, we are within 90 days of the midterm election and there can be no special election. The people running now for the seat will be the candidates.
