Side note on these successes…in Chicago suburbs, there are 4 hospitals, two really big and two smaller, that are failing due to “private equity vulture capitalism”. Closing service lines like maternity and pediatrics. Low staffing for patient care.
They all get Medicare and Medicaid funds. And they all get audited by state and feds.
And hide behind the corporate veil of being a “private company”.
This is also happening in other states, as well.
I emailed PDJT, every time I have in the past…I get an acknowledgement of email received. Not this one. I included stats on the detriment to patients. Nothing heard back. Nada. Zero. Zip.
Just wishing there would be more done for health care, nurses in particular instead of taking away the professional status for student loans, but leaves in place, advanced funds for lawyers and doctors…two entities that benefit from ‘private equity’. And who finds the loop holes? The lawyers do.

Kids get good care…but the local hospitals are shutting down pediatric units, referring to bigger more ‘corporate’ hospitals.
Not if they are illegals. Deny them health care to provide more incentive for them to leave.
It’s happening everywhere. The NICU that saved my youngest’s life was closed. They fly the babies to Westchester instead
That too is common. I know one mom who delivered premie twins, spent 4 months in the NICU…mom stayed at hospital but lived like 50 miles away.
Back in the day, Loyola built a 120 bassinet NICU due to the need because the moms were not taking care of themselves during pregnancy. Subsequently, 20 years later, they reduced the number of bassinets, based on ‘decreasing need’… the kids now get transferred to specific children’s hospitals, as I understand it. Or Northwestern.
Depending on mileage…a helicopter ride can cost $12,000-$20,000 plus mileage…(about 200 dollars a mile)…
Fixed wing aircraft can cost $25k-$50k…
International flight, $100k++
Medical complexity and insurance coverage also play a role in the costs.
They are 90% of the problem.
You sure have turned into a negative nanny,if you do a little research, you find out the birth replacement rate for white,blacks are below their replacement rate. Also what is the medicaid ,free ER to illegals of any race using these services.I would;d be closing them too. You need to go watch on Netflex “The Resident”,it shows what goes on in these big hospitals.
Was on a non-profit hospital board for 20+ years….now several years ago. However, at the time all the hospitals in that state were operated under what was called “certificate of need.” That is, given the extreme cost of equipment , not to mention limited number of not only medical personnel but the number of patients as well, each hospital became a center for specific needs. ..i.e. acute care in maternal/pediatrics, dialysis, specific surgical departments, etc. It was not only cost-effective for hospitals that were closing their doors at the time of over 100 per year because financial issues, but also the patient could be assured the latest diagnostic and treatment equipment would be at the designated hospital. Yes, it meant longer drives to that hospital and inconvenience but in general the positives outweighed the negatives. In addition, Certificate of Need also took into consideration the demographics of the area and planned accordingly, with extra funding when there was a huge amount of uncompensated (no insurance) care.
I was on the State Board that worked through much of this and at the time it seemed the most equitable and efficient way to keep hospitals viable.

President has amazing stamina. This morning he attended the Dover Air Force base somber transfer of the flag draped caskets that contains the remains of 4 soldiers who were killed in the Iranian conflict. A sad ceremony but a tribute to the 4 who died.
This afternoon President Trump flew to Ga for a rally at Wheeler HS in Cobb County. He is so energetic and upbeat. Our daughter was there with her nephew. They arrived about 11 and President Trump appeared onstage about 3:30. It was a long but exciting day for them. They like President Trump and his policies.
There is absolutely NOTHING like a Trump rally or appearance.
So much fun!! You just feel happy!!
Trump is the best president in my lifetime (65+ years). Much good has come of his presidency. These accounts are great….if you have money to put in them. Most people don’t. I don’t know any people that have money to play with.
I don’t expect miracles, but it would be nice to see more deportations in line with what was promised and a heck of a lot more big fish behind bars.
This president is light years ahead of Biden/Obama 3.0. but time is running out fast. I’ll be patient and see how it turns out. He has many forces against him. Hopefully the best (dirt on the Democrats) is yet to come. He sure isn’t going to get help from Thune, or anyone in the Senate.

Traffic is terrible. Had a girlfriend MANY years ago that went to Wheeler H.S. That was a long drive from Gwinnett County! LOL
