If could be a family name. Alec and Vance are easy. I’ve had to spell my first and last names for decades. My daughter was able to spell her last name the first day of kindergarten using the method she heard me use, saying 2 or 3 letters at a time as if they were writing it down and including D as in dog, P as in point, etc. The teachers were cracking up by the end.
I now have to also spell my street name and the town name if I’m talking to someone who isn’t local.
The name Alec is a boy’s name of Greek origin meaning “defending men”.

Babies keep you young, especially if you are 40 years old, as is Mrs. Vance. I had my third child at 40 and it was such a blessing.
Hard to explain but somehow raising a young child keeps you in touch with that time of life, mostly youth, when anything is possible.
I have a granddaughter with older siblings who are teenagers. Her mother says toddlers are the antidote for teenagers. We love them all, such blessings!
