Old-school Democrats are going to have to choose whether to join the Republicans, or join the radicals who have taken over their own party now.

So, there it is for the “old-school” Democrats. It is a time for choosing.
I was in a citizen survey session for city revitaliztion in a wealthy local NC town. A couple at one table told us how they were sick of all things politcal which had led them to relocate to NC from New York. When it was thier turn to float ideas, the guy said….“look, the first thing you gotta do here is raise taxes”
They’ll just bring thier baggage with them.
Most of the “old school democrats” are either dead, have been eviscerated or to happy to play along to preserve their cash flow.
Other than PA Senator John Fetterman who occasionally makes sense and doesn’t always vote lockstep with the Democrats there is virtually no one else in congress.
The Democrats are literally in total agreement with the leftist and vote that way in unity.
There wasn’t much of any welfare until LBJ got his Great Society plan passed. That was the beginning of the end.
Before that? Families helped their own.
And Aid for Dependent Children destroyed the black family. Wives could kick their husbands out of the home, and men could leave the home with no worries of financial support.

– experienced other country governments
– studied other governments
– thought that people could have an active role in their governance
( not be serfs, peasants, slaves )
but be something called ‘citizens’
– they gathered together for thoughtful discussions over time, as they drafted, edited, revised, reviewed, clarified documents for the benefit of others for a long, long time …
– they also knew that other countries ( wanting to miss control them ) might disagree… so, it took wisdom and fortitude to persevere through the adversity(s).
