In attention deficit, low information voter populations like those in a majority throughout the world, what is described in the video below is actually a mechanistic process.

So is the parliamentarian system and ranked choice better? No. The parliamentarian system leads to coalitions with the least popular parties most of the time, giving them an outsized voice. Rank choice leads to the denial of the most popular option, the implementation of the Hegelian dialectic, is even more susceptible to cheat, and though instituted in some states, is illegal in this country, as it violates one person, one vote.
The real problem here is not the two-party system, but the absolute corruption and the lack of adherence to American political theory. Let us return to the original design of the Declaration and Constitution, mitigate the ability of a very small oligarchy to purchase outcomes, and the vast majority of our electoral problems vanish.

America has many registered parties. The difference between our two party majority system and countries that have multiple party elections is really about coalition building and when that coalition period occurs. That is all.
In many Euopean countries, for example, many parties win few seats and then after the election those elements struggle to form a coalition big enough to be allowed to rule after the election takes place. Those struggles often fail and can even risk the majority party not even being included in a final coalition government that is formed.
In the US the coalitions are built ahead of time within the two party systems before the election takes place. The coalition elements can shift between parties ftom ekection to election, and the party platforms become a struggle for influence among the groups and a consensus agreement on policy directions. It brings about significant struggles for influence within the coalition like the rise of the Tea Party and MAGA within the GOP…and the rise of socialism/Marxism within the DNC.
Separate Third party movements do indeed split a coalition (almost always the Republican one). So, I do not currently support third parties. Better to build support within the coalition to win influence (run your own candidates in primaries, etc).
Gerrymandering is a separate issue. It is part of political corruption.

They can now treat him like a new immigrant with much weaker evidence — just reasonable suspicion is often enough.

A simple analogy is often all you need to determine the correct outcome, as in the case of today’s ruling.
You get to say who is able to reside in your home, period; our country is our home. In this specific case, the lawful permanent resident is akin to someone that you’ve allowed to stay in your home, but does not deny you the right to say that it isn’t working out and that they must leave.
In Trump vs Barbara, the intent of those passing the bill is undeniable, as is the definition of the language of “…subject to the jurisdiction thereof.”

Therefore, Congress also has the authority to change the rules. The SCOTUS must then abide by those changes. And this, ultimately, is what it is going to take to stop this kind of behavior.
Judicial activism is out of control. The higher courts better fix this.

I’m not an accountant but I did spend 18 years as an assessor/appraiser. All of the info in her public comments and disclosures lead me to believe she is playing games using tax laws. One can have a business worth millions yet have negative profit. One can also have a business worth nothing yet have massive profits. Net worth is dependent on what method is used to determine that.
There is a value for property tax purposes along with value for income tax purposes and many others including for loan purposes. You can’t use an appraisal for property tax purposes to qualify for a loan and vice versa.
My perspective on Omar’s inconsistencies leads me to believe they may have set up a ponzi scheme with the winery using wildly inflated future profit projections that establish a value for investors. They then couldn’t get the winery going to make profit when investors demanded returns, so they used the costs to develop and the profit payments as liabilities to then de-value the business. Now that they have reorganized it one could say some of their business is worth more, even without showing profits.
All of this sounds like they are scamming the system and really never had the intention to build a profitable business. I speculate that their original intention was to use lies to make money and now it looks like it has caught up with them.
There’s abundant evidence to vacate her and deport, from immigration fraud to financial fraud. But congress are complicit cowardly eunuchs and will never remove her. We simply can’t expect anything of value from them as a whole.

I believe that the internet and its multiple platforms for sharing information has exposed much of the outright dishonesty and lying that went on unchallenged for years. U.S. District Judge Mark T. Pittman sentenced ringleader Benjamin Hanil Song to 100 years in prison. Song was convicted of the most serious offenses in the case, including attempted murder and discharging a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence. Prosecutors proved at trial that he shot Alvarado Police Lt. Thomas Gross in the neck during the Fourth of July attack last year.

Of course, a “Federal Judge” must now overturn all of these convictions, perhaps as being “cruel and unusual,” and immediately order the perpetrators to be released without bail. Perhaps, the Judge will then order them to be compensated, “for their inconvenience.”
Or, perhaps, after a few weeks in jail, their sentences will be “commuted to time served.” After all, objection to “Immigration Enforcement” must certainly not be “a crime!”
Defense attorneys do have the option to appeal the sentence. Their next stop is the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, based in New Orleans, LA. The Fifth Circuit has appellate jurisdiction over U.S. District Courts in Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi. The Fifth Circuit has 12 republican-appointed justices, 5 democrat-appointed justices and no vacancies. Defense counsel also has the option to appeal to the Supreme Court. The odds are very much against them.
Other district courts throughout the U.S. do not have authority over the Northern District court of Texas. Judges Boasberg, Sullivan and others in the DC circuit do not have authority in this case either.

Over the last 47 years the US has tried every variation of policy to get change in Iran except a major military campaign. Nothing else has worked from sanctions, to bribes, to deals and limited strikes. Will this war succeed? We will find out soon.
However, during the war Trump attacked and ridiculed nearly every historical ally of the USA and went to war with one combatant ally along side the US military. Then to secure peace he has attacked Israel, his only combatant ally in this war.
This is terrible strategy. I have always been an Americaphile, have supported your unpopular wars here in Australia. But if this is how the USA treats the allies who actually fight along side it I am a hard no on fighting alongside the USA in future wars. We all see that our support for the USA will be actively punished by the USA if there a couple of congressional districts or senate seats at risk in the mid terms.

Trump has almost every country in the ME supporting his actions toward Iran. Israel is not the only ally in the region, and if they fight alongside us its because we have funded their military for years, and they are capable and they are strategically aligned.
If actions by Israel undermine US peace efforts with Iran especially after how much we have spent militarily in the region, then yes Trump has every right to be critical of those actions. The US set back the Iranian nuclear program for 40-50 years, and Israel benefits the most from this.

My sense of the two attacks on Iran are that the first one did the job when we bombed the Iranian nuclear material and buried it under a mountain of granite rubble. On top of that we also destroyed Iran’s advanced IR6 Centrifuges needed to enrich uranium and there’s no way for Iran to build new ones.
So, why did President Trump launch a second conflict with Iran after he repeatedly said that the first bombing attack last summer destroyed Iran’s uranium stockpile? My sense is that President Trump is indebted to the handful of Jewish billionaires who donated $300 million to his 2024 Presidential Election and he was paying back the debt he owed.
