Afternoon, dear lady. Finally discovered that HVAC companies don’t work on window air conditioners. Found an appliance company who techie just left. They were more expensive than I expected but, then, this is a once-in-a-life-time repair (for me anyway). I can easily afford the cost and, besides, I’m tired of the aggravation. So, I’ll have a refurbed air conditioner on Monday or Tuesday. We’re expecting more heat in this part of Texas so I’m glad to be in my little air-conditioned casita/study. Trump made a big deal out of signing the MOU publicly. Cameras, people standing around, a worldwide press event of the signing. But Trump knew, and still knows full well, that the Iranians have no intention of adhering to the memo or to any future deal.
They will cheat. And when they do, Trump will be able to say, “The U.S. signed the MOU in good faith. The Iranians signed it, too. Now, world, you can see clearly that Iran alone on the world stage cannot be trusted to adhere to any agreement.”
What Trump has done is to publicly isolate Iran from the entire world, revealing them to be intransigent and dishonest and unable, among all other nations, to keep their word. Most people already know this, but by the very public camera-intensive signing of the MOU, it gives a visual power punch to Trump’s willingness for peace and Iran’s unwillingness for peace. It’s a masterstroke.
Some think Trump is being played. Trump cannot be played; he’s been dealing too long and too well to get played. Some think Trump can be lied to without him noticing. Trump’s leg has been urinated on by the dogs of deception for too long for him not to carry a spare set of trousers. He won’t be taken by surprise, and he will get their nuke dust as well, one way or the other.
Here’s the upshot: Iran will sign the MOU. Then, they will promptly use their 60-day grace period to do whatever they can to arm up and cause chaos in the Middle East and in America. They believe they can get the best of the best negotiator America has ever had. That will be the worst decision they ever made.
That’s interesting speculation, I hope it pans out true

Is there really algae growing in it?

Unfortunately, I am way too familiar with the type of project. The geniuses who originally installed a water feature at the house we (later) bought went out of business shortly thereafter. It is a glorified bathtub with a 12 foot long waterfall, and a pump that gets the water up about 5 feet in height.
It was made by taking underlayment, draping it down a slope and into the pond area, lining the sides with really big rocks, and cementing it all together. Lasted a few years, then started leaking as the cement failed and the rocks started shifting. Some of the rocks are more than 3 feet around.
The lowest estimate I could get to repair it was $20k, but that did not include repairs to all of the landscaping, patios and fencing to get the needed equipment to it. In my dreams, it was time to locate the Anarchist’s Cookbook… IRL, I had a huge mess to fix on my own. I am hundreds of hours into this, wish I had that team (or a large flat area rather than needing to work with 1/2 inch paint brushes).
Trump has it under perfect control. They are using an epoxy coating (I used Pond Shield brand). It goes on over a cleaned and etched surface, so it bonds. If it does not adhere perfectly, it loosens and you re-do it in that area. After it cures, you need to wait before adding chemicals, and algae grows in warm untreated water.
It will be gorgeous. I would trade in a heartbeat.

Your friend had a pond designed by competent people. To begin work on mine, I had to dig up the water line (part irrigation drip line, part garden hose) and install a pvc line with in-line shut off valve. That required turning off the water to the entire house in order to remove the old garbage and install the new line. Also had to raise the liner edges by installing a short block wall so that when it overflowed in rainy season, it was not draining into the crawlspace.
Her pond sounds so peaceful! Enjoy the koi for me!

Paul’s journeys. (1-6) Eutychus restored to life. (7-12) Paul travels towards Jerusalem. (13-16) Paul’s discourse to the elders of Ephesus. (17-27) Their farewell. (28-38)
1-6 Tumults or opposition may constrain a Christian to remove from his station or alter his purpose, but his work and his pleasure will be the same, wherever he goes. Paul thought it worth while to bestow five days in going to Troas, though it was but for seven days’ stay there; but he knew, and so should we, how to redeem even journeying time, and to make it turn to some good account.
28-38 If the Holy Ghost has made ministers overseers of the flock, that is, shepherds, they must be true to their trust. Let them consider their Master’s concern for the flock committed to their charge. It is the church He has purchased with his own blood. The blood was his as Man; yet so close is the union between the Divine and human nature, that it is there called the blood of God, for it was the blood of Him who is God. This put such dignity and worth into it, as to ransom believers from all evil, and purchase all good. Paul spake about their souls with affection and concern. Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles.
