The jury deliberated for three hours and returned the verdict of guilty against Karmelo Anthony, for murdering 17-year-old Austin Metcalf. Anthony stabbed Metcalf in the heart.
The evidence against Karmelo Anthony was overwhelming. The trial now moves to the sentencing phase for jurors to decide Anthony’s punishment. Anthony, who is now 19 years old, faces a sentencing range of five to 99 years, or life in prison with the opportunity for parole.
TEXAS – […] Testimony during the punishment phase can include evidence of other crimes or bad acts, character and the impact on the families. The defense called Anthony’s mother, Kala Hayes, as its only witness and asked few questions, KXAS-TV reported.
“He’s my oldest,” said Hayes, who began crying, according to KXAS. “He’ll always be my baby. I love him very much.” Karmelo also appeared to be crying as his mother spoke, KXAS reported.
On cross examination, prosecutor Bill Wirskye asked Hayes if Anthony “still gets to be a part of your life” and she said yes, WFAA-TV reported.
The defense rested its case on punishment about 2:50 p.m., and the judge called for a short break before giving the jury instructions to deliberate on punishment. Closing arguments on punishment are expected this afternoon, WFAA reported. (source)
🚨 JUST IN: Karmelo Anthony supporter RAGES saying "I don't know what to tell my 5 boys!" after Anthony is found guilty of murdering Austin Metcalf

🚨 NOW: Karmelo Anthony supporters are absolutely LOSING IT on each other out here in the courthouse parking lot
A black man walked up and told them to “STOP CHIMPING OUT,” and now they’re eating each other alive

These race baiters are despicable.
Eff bee eye stirring up people? Why on earth what I suspect that?
They were instructed to by the see eye hay.
Just as Antifa could not exist without the full support of the fbi, the Black Panthers will stir up lots of violence and will remain UNCHALLENGED by the LEO’s in the area.
The 2026 Summer of Love (chaos) kicks off in Texas…where does the mayhem goes from there?
I’m pretty sure that Texans will take a much dimmer view of the riots in Minneapolis and it will be stopped quickly.
Don’t Mess With Texas! They won’t put up with that violence, destruction and “mostly peaceful protesting”. I hope the guvna will call in the National Guard and Texas Rangers if it gets that far and do some serious head cracking.
It won’t get that far… remember there are 5 million + people licensed to conceal carry in Texas.. Watch the for “Walmart Walk Around” videos
I have confidence in the good folks in Texas.
I’m no longer sure. Someone I know who lives there and used to be in our corner expressed to me that the rapidly growing Muslim population isn’t a problem. There were riots against ICE in her community. IDK what happened to her. I didn’t think she was intellectually vulnerable. I know that I come here to get informed so that I don’t get angry or angrier. I’m sure others are also overwhelmed with keeping up with everything and have also chosen their way to more peace daily but how many of them have dropped off or dropped out from what we here think is the sanest view?
Yeah, but that’s what they’re supposed to do. /sarc
So are the media organizations hanging around not just waiting for a race riot, but incentivizing one through the presence of their camera crews.
There is no reason to be filming live street reactions to a verdict of this nature, other than to give potential rioters an international stage to act their violence upon. Media presence is an inciting factor and the media not only knows this, but also knows it will benefit from being an inciting factor.
The whole dynamic is rotten and corrosive.
The MSM is corrupt to it’s core.
They WANT to see riots because it’s all about ratings.
I honestly don’t know how anyone with a functioning conscience could do that kind of work. You’d have to sell your soul (and I don’t doubt that they do).
That’s one of the qualifications for the job. Either you sell your soul or you don’t work here.
They are salivating. They love the excitement and News.
Have a feeling that they will have to put Karmelo in a protected unit for he probably will not fair well in any correctional institution. I’m not saying this because of the crime but because of Karmelo’s arrogant attitude.
From the get go Karmelo has had an arrogant uppity attitude that he is and was better then everyone. that type of attitude does set will with inmates or guards.
Feel that if the Metcalf family takes the Antony family to Civiil Court the Anthony family deserve to be put in their place & lose whatever they gained from the go-fund me type accounts that they profited from.
Just curious did Karmelo or his family ever apologize or show remorse for what Karmelo did to Austin?
Maybe not…
Life gives the test first and the lesson after.
Remedial lessons sometimes.
They need to stop coddling him. There are and were NO excuses for what he did.
The judge seems to have made a good start.
He knows he screwed up. Now realization is setting in.
GoFundMe should not allow the funds to be distributed to the KA family if the subject of the fundraising event is convicted of a major crime like premeditated murder. Rather than return the funds to the donors, it should be confiscated and truthfully be given to the family of the victim. This would discourage anyone fundraising off of despicable crimes such as this.
I doubt anyone took responsibility or showed any remorse (didndonuffin, right?). KA ran away after he killed Metcalf. If he thought he was doing the right thing, why on earth did he run away? His first instinct was that he KNEW what he had done was wrong.
Premeditated cold blooded murder.
He should get the maximum. I don’t care how old he is.
From what I could find out some of the funds been disbursed but not all.
For me anyone on Go–Fund me is just a con artist.
And if they had a modicum of impulse control, they might stop to think that sending this killer to prison will likely prevent him from murdering other black kids. Statistically, black-on-black murder is much more common.
Congrats to the jury on a job well done.
I’ve been really surprised thst Benjamine Crump hasn’t shown his face yet; wonder if he’s holding out for the appeal process to begin his racial grievance push.
Crump found out that all of the $600,000+ “defense fund” has already been spent on a mansion and cars.
Let the looting begin. And it’s the munt of Juneteenf.
They will use whoever or whatever circumstances provide the most benefit to THEM. It gives them a reason to stir the pot… any excuse will do. They care so little about Karmelo Anthony himself. It’s what his conviction can do for them.
The abuse by these entities is sickening… they are salivating. Despicable.
The Sacco and Vanzetti syndrome.
If this were CA or any other blue state they would have already given Karmelo the keys to the state, paid media appearances, and a $10 million settlement as thanks for killing a promising White U.S. citizen that had a bright future ahead of him.
And 40,000 homeless votes.
Hopefully the Metcalf family sues and takes every dime Anthony’s family scammed from people. A wrongful death verdict should put the scammers right back where they were before they failed to control their kid’s outbursts
Oh, excellent Oldretiredguy, I’m embarrassed to say I didn’t think of that. Of course, they should sue the family for everything they have, especially an amount equal to or greater than all the proceeds from donations given to help their disgusting POS murdering evil spawn.
“Disgusting POS murdering evil spawn”, perfect, couldn’t have said it better myself.
Under existing law, even in Texas, the parents cannot be held liable for their son’s criminal acts.
Who received the original GoFundMe proceeds?
If you go to the site it lists some woman’s name and it is not a direct family member.
The GoFundMe was canceled because they don’t allow funds to be used for criminal trial expenses. It was changed to the GiveSendGo platform.
Help Karmelo Official Fund | GiveSendGo
Fundraiser created by Kala Hayes
Fundraiser funds will be received by Kala Hayes
Hayes is his mother. I didn’t know that either until I searched the name and found it in some news articles on the sentencing phase.
I stand corrected. See below. I guess they were divorced or never married.
It’s the way to stay in the system. Free money!
The parents had some access to the money as they used some of it to rent another residence, as they claimed they feared for the family’s safety.
Wrongful death .. if at the time he was suspended from school for possession of a knife on school grounds you can bet you can be held responsible or you minor child’s discretion one way or another .. his folks will be moving his mental acuity will be part of the appeal
Isn’t that only if the child is 18 or older?
Karmelo was 17 when he committed murder.
Great post! All $$ scam-gained from any online source by the Anthony family & fellow travelers should be “liberated” & sent to the Metcalf family at flank speed. Regards, Former U. S. Naval Flight Officer

The fundraising account has been active since the conviction. Can this be construed as proof that lots of people support murdering white innocent people?
Well said, Sunshine!
I miss the killer’s original hair do.
His broccoli headed fashion statement……….
His future room mates have been following this from the get.
They all know the Go Fund Me Ghetto Lottery $$$.
Wait till baby mommy gets pics of her first born with a dog collar and leash, telling her where to send money.
Paging Bennie Crump……
Night crawlers after a rain.
Karmelo will no doubt file an appeal, and one argument would be the exclusion of three prospective black jurors who were all teachers. These were not the ones with excuses like they couldn’t put a “brother” in jail. The disqualification for these three was their occupation, not their race.
The prosecutor will probably argue that it was coincidental that the three were black, but the three were dismissed because it was likely their constant contact with students could lead them to, “Well, teenagers go get into fights, and things can get a little out of hand. Boys will be boys, especially the athletes. A tragedy for both families….” reasoning.
There were two Asians, an Hispanic, and a woman in a hijab on the jury, so there was diversity.
As I understand it, each side has the right to exclude up to X number of jurors from the jury, no explanation needed.
Excluding Jurors During Voir Dire
Peremptory Challenges: Each side has a limited number of peremptory challenges, allowing them to exclude jurors without providing a reason. These challenges are used strategically and do not require justification to the judge.
judicial gerrymandering?
similar?
No, a way to ensure a non-partisan jury. Lawyers are pretty skillful at picking out people lying to get on the jury. On the face of what they say there is no reason to disqualify that juror, but a lawyer is reading cues the rest of us don’t see. Remember both sides want the most sympathetic jury.
True, but if one side uses its peremptory challenges (no reason given) to exclude all potential jurors of one race, especially the same race as the defendant, it can violate the Equal Protection Clause. Batson v. Kentucky (1986).
I think the prosecutor has a decent argument for their exclusion.
Yes, those are peremptory challenges. But case law holds that if race was the primary motivator for the prospective jurors being eliminated, it is unlawful. Cases have been reversed and a new trial granted where the appellate court found that the challenges were motivated by a goal of removing all of the jurors of the defendant’s race.
The trial loss was deliberate as SD pointed out over the past week. It was all staged for an “Ineffective Defense” appeal with a dozen reasons including Karmelo is an imbecile with a 60 IQ. Like a corrupted prize fighter they “threw” the match!
Lawfare and the race baiters needed a guilty verdict to fan the flames this summer for the November election! 😎
A defense fun dover $600K, and this is the best he could buy? And we don’t know of other sources who might have been helping with legal bills.
And the funds keep pouring in. The GOAL for the GSG is 1.4 million. There will be an appeal.
I read the family spent that money, then he got a pro bono defense attorney
Fraudster Reverend Al Shartpton is still raking in money even though proved to never have been a Reverend. Why does this surprise you? Race baiting and race hating is a big business in the black community (see SPLC). The black grifters will never let it go as it is their golden goose. Some people just aren’t too bright.
Besides the race grievance industry members protesting outside the courthouse there, if they planned for another summer of love, they failed. Newspapers in other parts of the country don’t even have this story on the front page nor have it with any scandalous headlines. For example Orlando Florida papers’ headlines are the anniversary of the Pulse night club murders nothing about Marshmello Anthony, in Daytona Beach the headlines are about beach toll booth collector killed by driver who rammed into the booth, Atlanta papers have zero about this on their front page, and on and on. The race grievance industry has worn out it’s race card and people don’t listen to them anymore.
“Ineffective defense” doesn’t work so well when there is so much evidence against you that your lawyer can’t do much of anything.
Ineffective Assistance of Counsel is a very high threshold to meet… if they appeal citing that, it will fail not to mention appellate courts do not like, actually loathe, overturning jury verdicts (which has an impossibly high threshold to meet). I suspect the Anthony’s won’t spend the money to appeal the verdict.
The facts are that everyone who follows this formula for rapid wealth and community stature have no peers that can be selected for jury duty. Anybody that has lived longer than a minute knows the formulae and our “elites” have been playing us for idjits for decades. We’re SICK OF IT! Can you hear me now?
Commentary I heard from a “defense” attorney on “Court TV”…
“The judge is dumb (for not allowing cameras in the courtroom).”
“He (Anthony) stabbed Austin only once.”
“It was only a short knife.”
He also pointed fingers at the jury for taking a mere three hours to determine their verdict. A verdict which by this self admitted “enraged” lawyer’s judgement was not in any way justified.
As I wrote earlier, I hope Governor Abbott has the Texas National Guard on speed dial.
TSA says that my 2 inch Swiss Army knife was a terrorist weapon, so a short knife that did kill Metcalf makes it not murder?
It’s all Austin‘s fault for having his heart so close to the surface of his chest. C’mon, man!
In Britain you’d be handcuffed, prosecuted, and spending time at his Majesty’s pleasure in Wormwood Scrubs for a not inconsiderable amount of time. I am not being hyperbolic.
I can beat your TSA experience…
Decades ago, the TSA confiscated my then 7 year old’s obvious toy gun, his pride and joy. After we had disembarked from a UK flight.
AFTER.
Abject stupidity on full display. Bet I can describe the “defense attorney.”
I understand Anthony was represented by a public defender.
Since he didn’t use any of the so called go-fund-me proceeds for legal fees, which was the purported reason to raise 600k, Karmelo is a fraud in addition to being a murderer.
Did Anthony raise it, or was it raised in his name?
Likely his family got the money.
I will play stupid advocate here (I would say Devil’s but the Devil likes the Karmello’s of the world- these people are just stupid):
If I were a murderer, defenders based solely on my skin color and donated to Anthony’s “defense” fund, I would sue them for malice and fraud, since I donated to pay for an attorney, and instead, he got a public defender who put together a crap defense. These people are always jealous of those with more and eat each other alive almost daily in different locales across the country.
It was an obvious murder of an unarmed kid, with witnesses when it occurred. I don’t see how any lawyer could have gotten a “self defense” verdict. I read he didn’t take a plea deal because then they might have had to forfeit the GoFundMe “legal defense fund” that his parents spent.
Agree, but you see, a great attorney would have made a deal. An attorney who would have cost them 100k of the 600k, then the family still has money, while their son has a better final decision.
Can they prosecute him for that, too? Add a few more years to his reservation at the Big House.
It was only his voice, Hoo. No screen time. But like you, I formed my own picture.
It wasn’t pretty.
Supposedly the reason Anthony was in their tent is because he was suspended & not allowed to be on school grounds because he brought the knife to school. So he couldn’t sit in his tent & he was not competing & shouldn’t have worn the uniform if that is what he was wearing. I wonder if that was brought up in the trial. I have no way of determining if it was true, but made sense.
I don’t think it was, but it would have come out under cross if Karmelo had testified.
The school he attended was not part of the track meet ..
The short deliberation time might be another ground for appeal, but the presentation of the evidence didn’t take that long. One day for defense. A couple days for prosecution. The eyewitness evidence and expert testimony were concise.
All they really had to deliberate was intent, and choose between murder and manslaughter. I doubt any on the jury were going for acquittal.
Everything is grounds for appeal. A judge decides if it is a valid reason or not. Then the case still has to be heard again.
Yes. Post-trial motions, which will likely be denied (because the judge would essentially admitting he screwed up), and the on to the appeals courts.
After TX, the defendant can go to federal court to challenge the conviction as a violation of federal law, such as the Equal Protection or Due Process clauses.
Meanwhile Karmelo stays in jail.
Was there actual video of the murder? You’d think that would go a long way towards conviction.
I think there was some long-range CCTV, but most of the action occurred underneath the tent (more like awning open on all sides).
and my understanding (please correct if not correct) that there was a deluge of rain happening before and possibly during the stabbing. Even if the rain let up, this is Texas…in the south, after a hard rain, you tend to have a saturation of moist air that would cling to any camera not specifically protected from the environment (most cameras and cctc as not designed to operate in high humidity, post heavy rain fall conditions)
God Bless America
There were witnesses
There were plenty of eye witnesses.
Wish you could have been the attorney I heard, Wethal. A steady, calm explanation.
The man sounded like an hysteric.
I heard that clip, too. The “but he only” defense. Wonder what law school he went to.
I tuned in via a link on Citizen Free Press. Entered as he was blowing his top. At first I thought Anthony had been acquitted from the level of outrage I was hearing. But then, as you noted also, came but, but, but…only ad infinitum”, and knew he’d been found guilty.
I continued listening for a few more minutes to the absurdities, delivered with a level of hysteria we usually hear from
Liberal feminists. It seems the program hadn’t been too fussy about grabbing an “attorney” for the segment..any old attorney. He embarrassed himself.
Heck I was embarrassed for him.
Pitiful…
With full loads of LIVE AMMO…and the permission to use it!
Perry Mason, that guy ain’t!
Bets, I am shocked! Shocked, I say. I said the jury would never return a verdict.
Let the games begin.
Justice has been delivered, sis. God bless…and PROTECT…those jury members who did their sworn duty in the face of overwhelmingly damning evidence, knowing no doubt that doing so might have future costs.
Those pics show that he never would have made it out of his 20s alive. 🙄
The jury was given the option of a manslaughter conviction, but it chose murder.
I “stole” the following:
“Now Karmelo gets to live in a gated community!”
What a lucky ducky! 🦆
😁😁😁😁😁
Free room and board, medical and dental for life of the stay.
if he lives that long…..
……… and lots of new friends to play with.
Will they call him Melo Yellow (quite rightly).
gated community
I LOLd, as the kids say
His parents used his GO FUND ME $600,000+ donations to buy a mini mansion in a gated community plus at least one expensive car. Will they request more donations for the legal fees for the appeals?
I heard they rented it
Could be…But then why did they have a public defender for free?
Lock him up. Throw away the key.
I did NOT follow the trial. So I have a question that I think is salient:
Was it ever explained as to why Anthony had that knife on him in the first place??
He wanted to be prepared, just in case he ran into any white people he didn’t like.
yep
That probably means all of us!
Apparently, Karmelo had been suspended from school for having the same knife on him and he was banned from the school campus.
Another point is exactly what was Karmelo’s thought process of the consequences for his actions? Did he even think that far ahead to envision what punishment he could face for plunging a butcher knife into a White high school students chest in front of a hundred witnesses. Did he think he could toss the knife and walk away unencumbered?
I find this remarkably similar to Black teens who carjack a driver in Washington DC, kill him, then steal the car driving eight blocks before they abandon it. What was the thought process for that and how many dozens of times do you read the same headline? 😎
One of characteristics of the immature is the inability to consider the full consequences of one’s actions before doing them.
An example of FAFO.
It’s also a defining characteristic of the murderer’s social milieu. I believe the consequences he considered were ones where his attitude would save him no matter what.
thought process. ? you believe he was thinking about things?
Sociologists classify people by their “time horizon”. One with a long horizon delays gratification for a bigger payoff later (behaving legally, learning skills, saving money). Those with a very short horizon doesn’t even consider the future consequences.
The only reasonable option is to put him in prison to protect the public.
He seems to have believed that if he followed the script, he couldn’t be touched.
Well he wasn’t wrong. Everyone knows someone or has a cousin that did something and got away with it or got off. It’s not just urban legend.
He wanted to be a brain surgeon ever since he was a wee little lad. He thought it was a scalpel. He took it everywhere he went in case he had an opportunity to practice the delicate art of incision making.
Now the mean White men have stolen his dream!
Black lady: “I don’t know what to tell my 5 boys”
Normal people with minimally basic intelligence: “Tell your 5 boys not to murder people”
🎯
The black lady just coont take it no mo.
Growing up in the 50s & 60s I didn’t carry a knife or a gun. I guess times have changed? Or as one black mother said about her son’s arrest for robbery “How’s he’s supposed his money?” Working never occurred to her!
The entitlement is off the charts, they really think they should be able to walk up to a white person and kill them in cold blood with no consequences. And the reason they think this is because they HAVE been able to do that for awhile. We’ve all watched as it’s happened over and over again, it’s as if white peoples’ lives are not worth anything.
Once you reach that level of entitlement I don’t know how you come back, on a personal level or a national level. How can we live in the same country knowing that we can be murdered with impunity, a lá Nicole Brown Simpson?
Why, they must think they are in England, for crying out loud…..
Once you reach that level of entitlement I don’t know how you come back
You don’t
Avoid them – they can’t behave
As Scott Adams (RIP) advised
Matt Walsh dives deep into this phenomenon while discussing this case
For those who don’t live here and who think we tend to be racist, please listen to the what these people and the Black Panthers are saying. No remorse. No responsibility. Just anger that they don’t get a pass whenever they refuse to live civilly like the rest of us. There will be no corrective adjustments made to how they raise their kids. Maybe where you live they come from a different gene pool, but here in Texas we have more than our fair share of Dumb-As-A-Brick variety.
Fatigued.
Dumb as a brick added to the progressive take over of civil society (and especially media and schools and in both cases religion tossed to the side) is how we got here.
No matter a person’s circumstances, personal responsibility is a cornerstone of civilized society. We cannot continue to let the communists do their best to destroy that.
Black fatigue is real.
I was going to link the Chris Rock sketch, but YouTube requires age certification because infantile Leftists might accidentally view the clip and be triggered.
So here’s a similar sentiment voiced by Morgan Freeman, in the classic movie Glory.
And he says it so well, and it’s true to this day. Meanwhile, Denzel’s character is exactly what Karmello and others live their life as in 2026.
“Karmelo Anthony supporters”? Since when did murderers start acquiring followers, is that a leftover from the Charles Manson murders?
Never saw the attraction myself.
They donated half a million as a reward.
Metcalfs parents ought to file civil suit to claim that cash. Just sayin…..
And they should do it immediately and get a hold on the monies – or what’s left of it after buying new house and a new car.
A felon isn’t supposed to profit from his crime. Since the parents apparently spent the GoFundMe “legal defense fund”, are they allowed to keep the $$$ now that he has been convicted?
Pretty sure the family already blew that wad. That’s why they had to have a court appointed attorney.
The deed for the house would be a good start.
I think they rented it
Dzhokhar Tsarnaev
Luigi Mangione
It’s a sickness.
If past examples repeat he will be getting marrage proposals from white liberal women.
Fat ones
Mudsharks.
Young black American males, ages 15-30 and raised in a broken home with no father are some of the most dangerous people in America.
Right up there with white, leftist, college educated women.
yep and yep.
Especially the ones that call themselves “they”.
White, leftist, college educated women are the enablers for Young Black males.
One can’t succeed without the other! 😎
They think they can get one and keep it for a pet.
The results of LBJs Great Society and War on Poverty.
Just the beginning of Identity Politics and claims of racism in virtually everything that didn’t move the Great Society forward.
Thats Affirmative
One would say that the white, leftists college educated women are the bigger threat- they harm everyone.
Typically, young black men are statistically only really dangerous to other young black men.
They are getting younger and younger too. Children under age 10 involved in armed crimes. It’s happening daily.
They are the meal ticket. After 18 the get toes do not really care what happens to them. They are the free ride for their single moms to sit and go to da club. No one will miss Karmelo. They just pretend they will thinking theynwill get money. Karmelo was taught his entire life to hate white people.
Aren’t Karmelos parents together? I’d day at this point it’s beyond that. The thug behavior is just their culture now.
There seems to be a major component of morality and intellect missing from a large segment of our populace. They perpetuate this deficit at home with their many offspring. We have no answers in stopping them as law enforcement is handcuffed by judges with the very same moral deficit. The worst part is, this segment sways elections.
It will turn kinetic… it can’t help but escalate.
“sways”?
you misspelled “steals”.
avoid them, they can’t behave
nim, did you ever see the ‘Untouchables’ movie?
Way past time to implement the ‘they take one of ours, we take ten of them’ rule.
I am sick and tired of this bullshit.
Can’t avoid forever.
no, but you can swing the odds more in your favor
Years back, there was a website that showed the average IQ for any country on the map.
The Kenyan and the Autopen imported so, so SO many from countries with average IQs considered as mentally retarded in the U.S. – then basically paid them to breed.
Somalia probably heads that list.
I don`t believe race should matter. Capital crime, capital punishment. Bring back public executions and make a day of it. Morbid? Yes, I suppose but it would deter others like nothing else would. Take a life, day in court, guilty, swift punishment and move on.
Spot on.
On TV.
Particicution
I had to do a report way back in the day in school before the wall came down about Soviet Justice system. At the time I read that USSR had very very small number of rape cases across the country. I read that this was due to the law and punishment established. Basically when trial concluded, if perp was found guilty, they were taken outside and shot. Being young at the time I believed what I had researched. Now I wonder if that was true. But what a hell of a deterrent. Maybe Sundance can get some feedback from his contacts old enough to remember.
so I agree public executions would be a heck of a deterrent………something has to change
Yes: we have recently seen people executed after 30+ years on Death Row. One in Utah was deemed to have dementia so was allowed natural death
Its working in Iran.
Am I to understand you equate executing murderers with executing protesters?
Trolls try, and try again, and then again…..trolls.
Of course not. Instigate much? Iran executes far more people than protesters. It is how they have maintained control for 47 years.
Three hours to deliberate? I wonder if they were done in 10 minutes and thought it would look better to wait a few hours.
Paperwork and potty break. Elect a foreman.
They went to deliberate at 10:54am…they needed their lunch break. That took 45 min to an hour?
And picking the jury foreman and the subsequent jury paperwork…you know there has to be a lot of that…
Staying for the free donuts.
Yes.
It was a bad case to take to trial… he could have served as little as 3-5yrs (manslaughter is 2-20) if he would have plead out. But, they raised ~700k so there’s that.
Say his Name….yep….another mis-raised entitled “BLACK THUG”
sorry – redundant
Poor timing.
The upcoming riots are surely going to interfere with the FIFA Cup. 🙏🇺🇸
FI FA FO FUM, I smell the blood of an …
Renamed the FAFO cup
3 hours fast deliberation. Evidence must have been pretty damning.
The evidence was clear and concise, and there was no real defense other than “It was a public stadium and he could sit wherever he wanted” and “He was surrounded and had to defend himself.”
They probably reviewed the evidence and came to a verdict in an hour, then waited two more so as not to appear as though they rushed it.
Don’t forget. Anthony was seen rifling through the teams back packs when he was told to leave the tent. As reported he was told to leave the tent some 15 times. Anthony said, “You can’t make me,” From there the violence took place by a knife wielding Anthony that led to the murder of the other boy.
— surly
— chip on his shoulder
— knife in his bag
“Self defense” is not a logical or workable trial defense when the defendant initiated the circumstance.
A Passion Plea?
Done out of sudden emotion, so no premeditation.
But he brought the knife, and kept his hand in his backpack during the argument. Shows some long-term thinking.
Over on TGP, there were some pretty gun graphic photos of this dear sweet boy/s might have been in the comments section, he is no stranger to guns, apparently.
On X too; the bots keep trying to reply- that’s not him. Except, it looks exactly like him. The bots are always the go-to for POS influencers.
“I don’t know what to tell my 5 boys!”
Tell them not to stab people ma’am.
Yep and no one there with guts to tell her that.
Tell them – Kids, stir up the pot because it’s likely there will be a big payoff for the family.
NOT Oh, it’s wrong, or oh, it’s illegal, or oh ya might get hurt, or oh, ya might end up in the slammer? Nope none of that kind of logic.
JUSTICE WAS DONE!!
It was the ONLY verdict!
The family knew this would be the outcome. But did a “go fund me” and raised 620,000- then got their son a public defender….. wild times
I’m surprised the judge was willing to appoint a public defender under those circumstances. Usually you have to prove poverty.
After his fam bought the fancy house and car with the go fund me money they were broke
Those who believe their identity is based on the color of their skin, judge others the same way.
tribalism will also force the lowest common denominator.
the crowd and mob is almost always wrong.
almost always.
the first tea party…not wrong…definitely a mob.
the second tea party…much more political and organized…definitely a mob
the J6’ers…patriots all with a few scoundrels who we know have a dubious agenda. definitely a mob.
mob is not the bad word.
it is what you do, what you say, how you act, how you ARTICULATE AND ORGANIZE ABOVE YOUR OWN PAYGRADE, RACE, PARTY AND CLASS…because you have a truth that is real that no one can ignore.
this mob…this inarticulate bumbling spontaneous wildly emotional and reckless bunch (not group)…not the same
not the same at all.
it has always been a lie that we are all equal. That has never been true. We determine in our laws that we are to be TREATED EQUALLY, FAIRLY…but that is not the same thing as “we are all equal”. we are not.
Are we all God’s creation…absolutely. but the man dying next to jesus Christ was a scoundrel, a murderer. His sentence was death as it should be. God promised him grace as he does to anyone whom repents. He repented in his last hours hanging there in what can only be described as some of the most horribly painful state of body and mind. Yet, he realized who the Son of God was next to him…imagine that. A man convicted of the worst kind of crime…a murder…and on his dying day…in the most extreme moment of his physical and mental and emotional pain. What does he do?
he surrenders.
This mob also has the same promise of hope, should each person realize there is a greater plan for their lives…not to cling to tribalism and the flesh and the moment of temptations and anger and hate and violence. But renewal…a rebirth of the spirit.
I will pray for these people. It matters that we have empathy, not not reckless inaction. My smart eyes reveal at least half of this bunch have either been in jail for serious crimes, or have warrants.
But yet, God will never abandon the prayers of even a murderer. I can think of no better reason to believe in the LORD OF ALL LORDS.
God Bless America
I agree. We are all sinners, some worse than others…and all God’s children.
In my years as a correctional nurse, at a max joint, what I saw were men who accepted their fate and most often spoke of having ‘deserved’ it…trying to repent in their own manner. Not all made the attempt. Many were still full of themselves. I just had to be neutral. My job was to deliver health care.
I did that too and always had the biggest, meanest looking guard at my side at all times. He was such a teddy bear. Glad the inmates didn’t figure that out. 😂
We had a major, he looked like Col. Sanders…was 6’5″…I always felt safe around him…the inmates that were known to misbehave, well, they behaved…the Major had a way of pinching that nerve on the back of the neck and not letting go…they only had to experience it once…
So when does a crowd become a mob? Is it a number of people or something else.
My question stems from Milton Friedman asking when entrepreneurship becomes greed. Is there a dollar value?
Not trying to take anything away from you post as I am in agreement. More of an intellectual curiosity.
A crowd is a number of people standing together peacefully. A mob is the same thing but the peacefulness is replaced with hate and violence.
as mom used to say…
One’s enough
Two’s a plenty
Three’s a crowd
Four’s too many
“and 5 is not allowed”…
Amen!!!
God is good 🙏🏻
My comment disappeared. It was regarding the fraudulent claim that a go-fund-me account raised over 600k that would be used for Karmelo’s defense.
Instead he used none of it for legal representation but was appointed a public defender instead.
He’s a fraud and a murderer.
Didn’t the parents buy a new house with the money? 🤔
That’s the grift. Remember, Home of the Fraud, Land of the Grift. It’s everywhere.
Yes…and I believe a Cadillac Escalade. Allegedly, they also were reported to have used the money for ‘security’.
Daddy got the caddy Escalade, Melo got a Lexus, and the new house, clothes, jewelry.
Wow did Carmelo actually get a Lexus???
Link?
Money is still coming in. Link:

Another summer of love? Please not again!
Wait a black guy told the black protestors to stop chimping out? Seems even normal blacks are getting tired of their sh1t.
So, is it wrong to hope the little turd gets shanked in prison? Or do I have to take the MORAL HIGH GROUND??
Karmelo Anthony’s guilt is so obvious I don’t think even Ben Crump bothered trying to grift off of this.
Give it time…………
My favorite comment, at least one that SD referenced from a Karmello supporter (people support murderers now…FFS):
“I don’t know what to tell my 5 boys!”
“I don’t know what to do. I got 5 boys. I ain’t got nothin’ to tell ’em no mo’. You can’t walk away no mo’!”
“TELL THEM NOT TO…”
This person is too stupid and too race-angry to realize that if Karmello had just walked away from stealing and being where he was not supposed to be, there would have been no murder, no case, and well, no opportunity for the baiters to race-bait.
One response was “let their daddy tell them.”
Or, “let their daddies tell them.”
I like to refer to them as grievance “mongers.” I think it is more descriptive of their activities.
Wonder if there’ll be this much publicity when the black kid who just stabbed the White grandma to death on the atlanta rail transit goes to trial.
Whatever happened to the death penalty? Maybe there would be somewhat less murderers if the death penalty was used more often?
The crime was committed when he was under 18, so he could not have faced the death penalty, even if he was an adult at time of trial.
Texas is an “open-carry” state. The Lefties should think twice
before rioting there. Texans believe in law and ORDER.
More and more I suffer from the “fatigue.” And I promise you this, I will not be Reginald Denny.
now taxpayers will b on the hook to support this sick twist’s time in prison… i believe hard working taxpayers can think of much better ways to apply their $$$. As for the race gangbangers, they r all paid actors who r too lazy to find employment.
God save our Republic
Is the Community Race Baiter Obama going to tell us about the son he never had again?
I feel sorry for the two minors being in solidarity with a dumb prostitute.
So does Mommy refute all the testimony of how her “Oldest” murdered a kid in cold blood and instigated the murder ?
Sorry for those who can’t see.
We don’t have a race problem we have a problem race that is seen daily.
I’m appalled by the number of people (especially here) who seem to identify with this murdering piece of scum that they refer to him by his first name as if he were the paper boy down the street
Somebody upthread referred to him as marshmellow. 🙂
Guilty of murder.
Nuff said.
Nobody working?
Sarah j Field is an investigative reporter who has been covering the case from last year. On her Facebook page she is reporting that NGAN (next generation action network) is being funded by soros. NGAN has been active at the courthouse and on social media spreading disinformation about the Metcalf family and repeating the lie that Karmelo was jumped by 4 boys. That group also keeps repeating that it was metcalf fault bc Karmelo told him don’t touch me and we will be cool.
Idiots on parade …. Regardless of the sentence the appeal will be for his mental acuity, or lack there if.. Last week a local black activist recapped several things that may or may not have come out during the trial.. the one that stood out for me was, at the time, he was been suspended from school for having a knife in his possession while on school grounds.. Look for the idiot card dropping ..
Oh, Thank God! I have been avoiding this news story because I figured he would get off from a hung jury or some technicality.
It appears to me, without hearing the testimony, that Karmelo Anthony believed he could kill in “self-defense” any kid who laid a hand on him in that tent. He tragically bought the leftist narrative.
