Depends on what you want to know, I left the car biz in 2001 but I do not think there have been any technological leaps since then except they keep putting more in the system & have to heat them via your battery if to far down the exhaust line.
They start randomly turning on the check engine light after 50,000 miles (or earlier) if they were constructed on a “Hangover Monday™”
My 1992 Sonoma has never had a new one in 200K, probably needs one tho.

well, ………….. it’s gotten to be a long story..
but basically .. after installing long tube headers..
they’re all ( O2 sensors) &@$! ✨ up.
and i’m assuming .. because of that, my car was running extremely rich .. ( for a couple weeks)
and now it doesn’t want to idle upon start up.
and floods.
More than likely the manifolds have a leak into them of atmosphere as the o2 sensor will see it as lean instead of rich & add more fuel.
You should be able to hear it (depends on header tuning), but depending on make/model (I’m GM/Chrysler rooted but same systems).
So it really depends on what you took apart to install them, take a close look at what you removed to make sure it is all sealed so the o2 sensors are not fighting against anything else. (vacuum or exhaust leaks)
Do not drive like that for lengthy amount of time or your Cat Converter will overheat & could possibly set your interior carpet on fire. (yes, carpet fire was one of my first jobs on a new horizon/omni)

I never really understood it, the “performance” tuning stuff really was not my area but it was a money maker for sure, that is what my buddy went & did after the dealership got bought out & he went to everything hot rod for people with $$$$$$$ to get what they want. <shrug>
I guess for people who want to street race or whatever… glass packs & really you should not have O2 sensors or a Cat converter to increase more HP than headers will. Too bad removing them is not exactly legal & for me it’s a 10K fine, never stopped people from asking tho. Same fine for exhausting R-12 intentionally into the air… car accidents were A OK tho. SMH
If my vehicle starts & runs every day, that is it’s purpose & I do not care if half the warning lights are on in the dash telling me what the damn computer sees, UNLESS & UNTIL it runs poorly then it has a problem.
But it is a really good way to get someone to spend 2K to fix those lights.
One of the reasons I got out of it… gotta be a thief to make money.
I had to intervene once when my Aunt came in & got ****ed by one of our performance guys, she was in tears when she came in the 2nd time to complain it still had the same problem before he/we relieved her of over 1000.00 bucks. <SMH>

“Tuning” really only counts on a race track & only if the driver knows how to use the extra 1/32 of horsepower.
Racing mechanics/teams spend lifetimes to get that 1 extra HP no one else on the track has, still only works if the driver has the ability to use it.
I tried/applied for jobs on “Gasoline Alley” but did not pursue as I really do not wish to be on the road every week during testing or race weeks, it is a lifestyle & not one I was really interested in.

I would hope that tho O2 sensor location was pre-welded on, if someone created the hole & welded on the flange to screw the sensor into, the weld is leaking would be my first guess.

The double overhead cam engine they put for a short time in Chevy’s & Oldsmobile’s, you pretty much had to remove the engine to put a new alternator in it that was right next to the firewall, it paid 4 hours warranty rate. (huge as usually .3 tenths of an hour = 18 minutes barely do the paperwork in 18 minutes)
So a customer pay rate (cash customer) would have paid about double that to get it done.

We could refine it here IF the greenies would allow changes/additions to existing refinery’s or build some new ones, but that is unlikely to happen without lawfare that probably more than doubles the cost of doing so leaving us to import the oil that our refinery’s were built to process because it is cheaper.

I am seeing mother sparrows feeding their chicks out of the 8 lb feeder. The fledgling sits on the top rail of the chain link fence and mom goes and gets a seed from the feeder and brings it to the chick and feeds it.
Soon it will be the woodpeckers bringing their young to the seed blocks and feeding them.
This year for the first time we have at least one nesting pair of red breasted gross beaks (Sherry thinks there’s two pair) and I await seeing their chicks.
Every other day I put out unsalted peanuts in the shell. The blue jays get most of them but the wood peckers and the squirrels get some and even the little nut hatches will peck on those I put on the ground or along the top rail of the fence to get to the treat inside.

That’s funny and true.
The good news is there is a proven cure for this: it is called getting up and working. My fantastic farm assistant came home from college to work for the summer as many hours as possible because she was seriously broke (and alone in the world). She stayed in the guest house. Her roommate and ‘friend’ came with her to visit and wanted to help. Obese, weird angle hair-cut as though the person with the buzz-cut thing fell asleep while trimming, and occasional piercings. The fat one (with parents and an allowance) was dominating my assistant who had no one in the world except her dog, who came to work with her, and lived at the farm too. One night the fat trans thing who blames all her problems on ‘trans’ issues had yet another breakdown and ended up in the ER. I got a phone call at 11:00pm.
The obese one thought I should wake up her sleeping friend to come and sign her out. I explained that if I was going to get up, put the toddler in the car seat, and drive to the guest house — I would just come get her and let other workers sleep. After an interesting discussion at the ER – where it became apparent there was nothing wrong except a need for attention – she was signed out to my responsibility. I explained repeatedly that work started at 0500 and, as we say at the airlines, “it is going to be brutal !” She insisted she wanted to come and signed the paper.
At 0500, on only 2.5 hours sleep, she had to get up and drag her sorry self to work. No, sleeping in all day was out of the question, given I had to sign that piece of paper — she had to come where I could supervise her. After 10 minutes of lifting hay bales she lay her massive self down on the grass for a nap for hours. I nearly bit my tongue when she told me she would not charge me for the 10 minutes of ‘work’. Needless to say, she left within two days, never to be seen again, with a deep, deep distaste for farmers.
My assistant dragged herself through college in 3 years, worked full time for a year while taking the LSAT (twice) and just finished her first year of law school. She joined the Marines, will start as a JAG, and is going great places … thus far, still with the loyal dog at her side.
Our biggest problem is that her dog and mine get less exercise when she is away at school, and both gained weight while apart. Is this a great country or what ?
Many stories I/we could tell about these generations of helpless. I’m pretty bad at 61 now. Just getting over knee replacement, one of many surgeries in the last couple years to right my own stupidity. Back in the work force, and still doing all I have here at home. I’d rather not but it is what it is.
My son was splaining to me how we have so many workers and not enough work. We went round and round about Mexicans here doing all this manual labor. “Who will do it”? I’m not! And paying $50,000 for floors just to be laid is crazy.
Remove government handouts and all starts to fall in place, until socialism is removed we get this mess. And it is going to get worse.
What happens? Well, you put down a floor you can afford or do without. We always did without. I had food and clothes and worked my butt off every day.
If my hair was ever Blue it was wound dressing from livestock. There were fairy boys but they got straight after a summer in the fields and heat. I guess the smell of a man sweating and not having a shower for a week or so. A middle aged dude in overalls with no under garments and never had use for toilet paper wasn’t as appealing as the scented dudes today. That and public bathrooms were a tree on the journey.
Love from your dad was teaching you how electrical tape and napkins were good wound dressing. No superglue, Elmers never dried.
I rescued my boys many a time, but I also worked them. One of OUR favorite days was cutting and dragging limbs after a storm. Boys complain until the competition starts, then blood or blisters they work like rented mules to win the imaginary first place.
I do not advocate illegal entry into our nation. I, like everyone else, take advantage of the help. Our government is our doing and our problems all come from there. There is no middle ground anymore. They are all corrupt beyond measure. Like bot flies they will have to be pulled out and destroyed or our nation will die.

Love it ! And kids did not run to parents for every little thing either. My friends and I were playing tag when I was about 8 or 9 and somehow we all piled onto the same base point at the same time. My ankle hurt. With great care I sent each of them to surreptiously and calmly wander down to the kitchen to get some ice, without attracting any attention. When dinnertime came and I was unable to walk downstairs the gig was up – we had to confess.
Our biggest fear was getting in trouble for doing something stupid. My mother, the MD, prescribed immersion in a bucket of very cold ice water for an hour. To distract me, my father the Navy man, made little Titanic paper boats to sail amongst the icebergs. Nonetheless, it was off to the ER and the confirmation of an actual break.
Children were not rewarded for doing stupid things then — everyone knew we should have been more careful! And in almost all cases things could be managed without fessing up and needing adult assistance.

This epistle is a discourse upon the principles of Christianity, in doctrine and practice. The design appears to be, to refute and guard against erroneous and unholy tenets, principles, and practices, especially such as would lower the Godhead of Christ, and the reality and power of his sufferings and death, as an atoning sacrifice; and against the assertion that believers being saved by grace, are not required to obey the commandments. This epistle also stirs up all who profess to know God, to have communion with him, and to believe in him, and that they walk in holiness, not in sin, showing that a mere outward profession is nothing, without the evidence of a holy life and conduct. It also helps forward and excites real Christians to communion with God and the Lord Jesus Christ, to constancy in the true faith, and to purity of life.The apostle prefaces his epistle to believers in general, with evident testimonies to Christ, for promoting their happiness and joy. God has given testimony to the sinfulness of the world, by providing a sufficient, effectual Sacrifice for sin, needed in all ages; and the sinfulness of believers themselves is shown, by requiring them continually to confess their sins, and to apply by faith to the blood of that Sacrifice. Let us plead guilty before God, be humble, and willing to know the worst of our case. Let us honestly confess all our sins in their full extent, relying wholly on his mercy and truth through the righteousness of Christ, for a free and full forgiveness, and our deliverance from the power and practice of sin.

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

If putting another down raises us up;
From the cup of salvation we’ll not sup!
Repent and be saved from worldly aims;
Accept Jesus as Lord; the prayer claims;
Renounce all your sins in His holy name;
Renounce the need for attention and fame!
By the blood He selflessly shed on the tree;
Victory over death made mankind free;
For the wages of sin is death for all;
Failure to repent will be mankind’s fall!
Seek first the kingdom and earnestly pray;

You’re not kidding! I have spent entire evenings searching for swing tap dancing duos from the ’30s and ’40s and watched them. YouTube has a bunch! The Greatest Generation had a LOT of very talented and very hard-working artists in the entertainment field. You can’t dance like they did without a TON of hours spent practicing…. and likely a lot of time spent soothing sore feet and legs….
Evening Prayer For Forgiveness
Heavenly Father, thank You for bringing me through this day and Lord, forgive me for the times when I have wandered outside Your best will for me, instead of trusting You implicitly.
Thank You, that You are such a gracious Shepherd to me and that You come and rescue me even when I lose my way and stray from the path that You have laid out for me.
As I look back over today, I know Lord that there were things that I should have said and done differently, and times when I reacted in a manner that was not honouring Your holy name. Forgive me I pray, but thank You, Father, that You always faithfully prepared to gently bring me back to Yourself.
Give me a good night’s sleep I pray, knowing that there is no condemnation because I am in Christ, and may I wake up in the morning refreshed and ready to do Your will. In Jesus’ name I pray,

Evening Prayer For Future Guidance
Heavenly Father, as I lie down to sleep tonight, I pray that You would guard my sleeping and protect my mind from wandering thoughts and unnecessary planning. Teach me to wait for Your perfect timing and not to try to plan my future in my own strength.
Lord, I know that You have scheduled every day of my life. Help me to trust You in all things and rely on You to lead me along the straight path and guide me in the direction that You would have me to go.
Give me patience to wait for Your perfect timing, and may I not trust in my own abilities and scheming, but rather rest in Your love and trust my future into Your hands.
