Actually I find it reassuring and deep, and for the sake of honesty, (maybe they’re telling the truth) must put aside my personal feelings, accepting the words as sincere when/but applied through my “filter”. I’ll try to give some input into how my “brain” is interpreting. Here we go – (brackets mine)

Unfortunately, this is where I “detect” 2 possible “meanings” here. The Left side of me reads a different message.

I think the pope is of the philosophy that you catch more flies with honey than vinegar. We know the truth is salvation and it is given to us through grace. It is not a pope’s nature to declare war nor is it his responsibility.

The two verses you quote have zero to do with actually “embracing” pagan beliefs.
There is spreading or preaching the gospels … trying to win believers via the word and ones actions.

This absolutely breaks my heart. I have been a hospice volunteer for 15 years and have had the honor and privilege of accompanying many people, old and young, during the “home stretch” of their lives on earth. While I can’t make them younger or healthier, I can make them laugh, listen to their stories, sing to them and make them feel seen and loved. In my opinion, while this euthanasia trend need to be fought at the policy level, it also needs to be fought in the trenches by people who spread the word that there is a light and a dignity in the suffering of people who are dying if only you take time to see it. Those who accompany the dying see it as plain as the nose on your face and it changes your life forever. Volunteer for your local hospice! You’re never regret it.
Lisa, I have read stories from people who have friends or family in hospice.
And to a man or woman they all state how unbelievably patient and kind those angels who work with them are. Almost to a superhuman level.
What I believe is that God has given them….you…very special gifts. You call it an “honour” to hold the hands of those who have come to the end of their earthly journeys and who are being received into their eternal life. I can well understand why you define your presence in that way. I have no doubts it changes you.
At times, many wonder what their purpose in this life is, but few probably ever find out. I suspect you have found yours, dear lady. God continue to bless you…and others such as you… and your calling. Bet 💕

When I trained for hospice, our teachers told us that while we have offered our time to serve the dying, it is truly they who will serve us. I could hardly believe it at the time, but it’s absolutely true.
I think of these people as like embers in a fireplace. They look like old dusty coals, but blow off the ash and you see the orange glow! And it’s hot enough to ignite the dry tinder of another’s heart. They have ignited mine beyond description.

Redistricting via the recent SCOTUS decision in both AL and SC have failed. One through the courts, the other through RINO dip-hits.

They’ll have to re-route all the graft and redistribute the spoils to the new guys and that takes a lot of figuring and is a pain in the neck. Better just to keep everything flowing as is and everyone paid and happy.
If it was racially based gerrymandering, then someone needs to file a complaint. Then the legislators will not be able to deny it. At one point in time such rigging was considered to be required under the law. SCOTUS says the law should no longer interpreted in this way. If it is in any way based on race, it must be changed.
That RINOs will walk that line? Not surprising. This is a Democrat state. They lie about what they are, but they absolutely tax and spend as Democrats and when they were supposed to update the state’s tax laws to adjust for Trump’s new tax law, they refused and I was TAXED by South Carolina for “income” of not having to be liable for certain taxation at the federal level.
South Carolina is a BLUE STATE and Lindsey Graham is a F’n Democrat and I don’t want to vote for him.

I would be REALLY happy if Clyburne was redistricted out… he is my congress critter and he has NEVER reached out… I also have never seen any signs for him or any Dem in my area. But, with voting already happening and the extreme costs to redo it all, this was the right decision.

Oregon is one step closer to banning livestock farming as Oregon Initiative Petition 28 reaches signature threshold to be on ballot. Signatures must be reviewed and verified by Secretary of State before initiative can be officially on ballot. The initiative bans hunting, fishing and would expand Oregon’s animal cruelty laws to include wildlife, livestock and animals used in research. Would basically outlaw cattle, pork, poultry, turkey and fish farming. If this measure is on the ballot the Eastern Oregon movement to join Idaho will become louder. Would bet NGOs and foundations from the usual suspects are behind this, although can’t ignore how Californicated Oregon has become with their communist government.
If it becomes law, will it ban the sale of all meat products from animal farming anywhere in all restaurants and grocery stores in Oregon and all other places where such products are either sold or served? If not, the people pushing this are rank hypocrites and the people opposed should push that fact in all their ads urging voters to reject it.

The Alabama mess is wrapped in in legalese regarding the TIMING of elections and the authority, or lack thereof, of the Alabama legislature to adjust election timing even as early voting has started. The issue of redistricting HAS BEEN decided: Calais pertains AND legislatures have constitutional authority to ignore race when they establish districts. HOWEVER: Alabama is being sued because plaintiffs allege that the Alabama legislature has no legal right to modify election timing once elections are underway [Comment: yet another downside of these stupid early voting “election seasons”]. If I understand things, SCOTUS is now going to have to decide if the legislature has legal authority to adjust election time even as “election season” is underway 🙂

Nobody actually attended – it was set to occur tomorrow…and PDJT canceled it “due to weather” and will hold the meeting in the WH (per PDJT statement).
I rented a car in Utah to travel to see a cousin who lives near Oklahoma City. Got a flat in East Texas and the tow company for the agency left us on the freeway for four hours. People from the nearby town came down the frontage road to check on us and volunteered to help. At least five different groups. I said that the tow company had been dispatched and thanked them for the offer. The Sheriff parked the car behind us to protect us from the fast moving traffic. Of course the tow company never arrived. The Sheriff took us to a local cafe and got to work, he had a tow company out in about 15 minutes and in 30, we had the car delivered to the cafe. They even unloaded the luggage and boxes we had in the back I have never met so many generous and thoughtful people. It was amazing and they helped make a pretty horrible experience into something really special. Small wonder people are moving there.
