My husband and I voted for AG Paxton! We were honored to vote for him!
Family voted for Paxton last Wednesday, including a 94 yr old who voted from the car (yeah they have curbside service for elderly/disabled).
Latest polls have Paxton up by 20 so if Cornyn ends up “winning” this thing, we KNOW the votes are being rigged.

Paxton just negotiated for an attorney from Waco, who had been sexually abusing his young son’s best friend for three years, and was facing 25-life, to receive “time served” (served one day, btw). The judge said no, and he got 60 days. He will never have to register, and can practice law again in 5 years.
It is sad and shameful that people actually support this demon to help establish Texas laws.

News reports say the child victim was not willing to testify again. In the first trial the jury could not decide, so what would YOU do if a new trial fails and the perp gets off completely? It’s not right, but the defendant had the upper hand in these negotiations.
Would you force the child to testify for your satisfaction? There is no good answer here. The perp at least now has a record and his life will be miserable. A civil lawsuit is likely in the works so that this predator will never have a normal life ever again.

From what I read…Cornyn voted with Trump on most things. The problem is that he actively worked against him behind the scenes and in blocking things from coming forward.

He voted to impeach President Trump. I am amazed that President Trump would have offered Thune the chance to keep Cornyn if Thune had gotten the SAVE Act passed. That is political strategy of a particularly high and unselfish order on the part of President Trump. President Trump truly loves this country because his whole lifetime shows he’s NOT the kind of man to forget the kind of insult the impeachment represented.
However, Thune turned him down, RINO that he is, so President Trump endorsed Paxton and that’s all she wrote for Cornyn.

my uncle was the first born into a family of three boys and a girl. he was a prominent NYC surgeon who could have stayed stateside but felt obliged to answer the call of duty. he served with Pattons Third Army during the liberation of France where he was killed by a sniper. my father always told me he was killed outside of Paris while a cousin of the second brother ( who was assigned to be a dermatologist in Saipan ) claimed it was in the Battle of the Bulge. My uncle was initially buried in France but my grandparents disinterred him and brought his body to be reinterred in the family’s cemetery. Unfortunately his gravestone listed his date of death as the date he was reinterred and nobody was left who would remember. He and his wife who was a speech professor had put off children until the wars end , so he had none. Finally another relative found our uncle’s personal possessions that included his after action report.
My uncle was killed in August 1944 outside of Troyes France. He was attending to a wounded German soldier and my uncle and his driver were putting the soldier into his car which was called the “peeps” later to be changed to jeeps. A sniper shot and killed all three people in the car , my uncle instantaneously with a head shot. His car was clearly marked as a medical vehicle. When the American forces captured the Germans fighting them their commanding officer claimed that his soldiers were under strict orders not to fire upon medical personnel and vehicles and that it was the free French trying to create a false flag. We will never know the truth, although Chat gpt says likely the Germans.
my father the youngest brother served as a radar technician in Burtonwood Army Air Force Base in England. Unfortunately just like how all the original radiologists developed lymphoma and other cancers because we didn’t know of radiation risks, the radar system used microwave radiation that was unshielded and he subsequently developed and died from lymphoma.

My family and I voted Paxton last Thursday. Noticed that the traffic inside the polling place was steady, even though it was 2 pm. Lots of folks made sure to vote in this run off before the Memorial Day weekend.

trump had to wait until he knew Paxton had this thing won… That’s not good. This wasn’t a hard decision on who would be more aligned in governing.
I highly doubt it, more likely he was trying to get the Save Act passed as legislation. As much as he likes Paxton, and knows how much better he would be aligned with his MAGA policies, his first duty is to do what is best for the country and that was to get the Save Act passed.

I respectfully disagree, we’ve seen him think he can negotiate w/ lifers consistently to poor results. Lyndsey Graham comes to mind, but there are others. Does anyone believe that Cornyn would drive the Save Act even if he agreed to do that? Like Thune wouldn’t have crushed that even if Cornyn faked like he wanted that?
It’s been a pattern, a willingness to think he can negotiate w/ swamp critters. His timing of support for Paxton was late. It was also timed where he probably knew Cornyn was toast. The swamp needs to be drained and it just isn’t happening, refer to the DOJ or Congress or many other branches.
Has he done more than most? yes, but to ignore this consistent shortcoming is not going to help us drain the swamp.

It didn’t happen on purpose but i think I heard perhaps three different interviews with Cornyn where he was touting his MAGA credentials, voted with POTUS Trump 99% of the time, etc. At no time did any “interviewer” ask him about the SAVE ACT.
