It’s still going on here in Northern Virginia…not as much, but on occasion.
it used to happen in my region of IL, on Thursday or Friday…we would see rain in about 36 hours.

The republican traitors in the senate are intentionally doing outrageous and obvious bad things in an effort to ensure the republicans lose the senate in the upcoming midterms.
A republican voter would have a moral dilemma voting for a republican traitor. Some say hold your nose and do it anyway but it’s more than that, it’s a moral and logical question which causes many potential republican voters to not vote at all or vote for an alternative candidate.
For example, and thankfully I don’t live in his state so I won’t ever have to make the choice, but I could never vote for Thune in a general election. Many people won’t. Hopefully he loses his next primary when the time comes.
On the other hand people that have a brain and think understand the fact that not voting for someone is the SAME as voting for the other person – in this case what would be a Dim – and the result would be FAR worse.

THIS is why PDJT has to stop endorsing these imposter charlatans. Getting a win for his endorsement scorecard does not get a win for America.
My hackles were raised to fury when PDJT endorsed Tillis in 2020. There was a candidate who had entered the contest on behalf of the nation – perhaps, maybe probably a longshot – but kneecapping his campaign by the Tillis endorsement was not right.
Really. Doesn’t PDJT have enough to do without endorsing candidates?
Remember former congressman Matt Rosendale (R – Montana)? He announced a run for the senate seat that was held at the time by Jon Tester, a Democrat. Less than a week later, Trump endorsed Tim Sheehy. Rosendale almost immediately dropped out of the race.
I would have preferred to have the people of Montana decide who would be their senatorial candidate. IMO, Trump’s endorsements are a perversion of our process. Primary campaigns should present good opportunities for debate and to get constituents’ questions answered. Instead, the attention is turned to Trump’s endorsements.
I do not like these endorsements at all. It is like crashing somebody’s wedding.
Sometimes a primary just wastes money Republican candidates can’t afford to waste.
Don’t know about where you are – but everywhere I’ve lived politicians and various known people endorse candidates all the time. Are you against those endorsements too? Do you think that nobody should ever endorse someone else? Do you think anyone should ever give their opinion on an election??
Then there is the question of – do you want the President to be able to do the things he is trying to do to improve our nation and the citizens lot in life? Yes – he may sometimes make a bad choice – and maybe sometimes he makes a choice based on the likelihood of which candidate can actually win the election, knowing that if the GOP candidate doesn’t win that he is GUARANTEED to have someone that will vote against everything he is trying to do – even possibly try to impeach him due to TDS.
Additionally, when he does endorse people and they win – particularly those who have been against the American people and the things the President is trying to do for them, it increases his leverage over those that remain. It may result in greater intransigence in some cases between now and the end of the year, but the alternative is continued blocking and resistance for the rest of his time in office…
For the greater part, Trump endorses candidates who are most likely to win. Those endorsements are like betting on horses but with a goal of ingratiating himself with the horse who holds a voting card.
Endorsements by other candidates typically are weak sauce. Way too many otherwise responsible voters take the lazy way out and engage in single-point decision making when there is a Trump endorsement involved. This is not healthy.
A Trump endorsement can cut both ways. Texas is an open primary state. Any registered voter who did not vote in the Texas Democrat primary is eligible to vote in the TX Republican primary runoff election. Trump’s endorsement of Paxton likely will energize Democrats and some of the TDS-afflicted among us to show up and vote for Cornyn as a proxy vote against Trump. I am holding my breath.

I have the chance to primary Lindsey Graham out of his senate seat. How should I vote? I hear the one who would potentially replace him is worse in some ways but I can’t confirm this yet. I’m F’ing tired of Graham.
