Last weekend former FBI Director James Comey said there were multiple officials remaining within the DOJ and FBI who were actively working to continue the weaponization of the agencies against President Donald Trump. Hours later the Dept of Justice released and indictment {SEE HERE} against Managing Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Fort Pierce Branch, Carmen M. Lineberger. Asst USAO Lineberger was caught downloading classified files from the Jack Smith case to her personal email and labeling them as recipes so she could leak them to Lawfare resistance members.
According to FBI Director Kash Patel, “This afternoon, a former managing assistant U.S. Attorney who supported Jack Smith’s politicized investigation of President Trump has been charged with stealing the confidential investigation documents. Carmen Lineberger allegedly emailed the confidential material to her own personal email, disguising them as dessert recipes to conceal them from record searches. Lineberger is charged with four felony counts in the indictment. Kudos to Harmeet Dhillon when taking the helm of the Civil Rights Division at DOJ. 100 lawyers quit rather than carrying out the Trump agenda that the citizens voted for. Still a federal offense, and most judges do not look kindly on convicted lawyers when it comes to sentencing.
And the judge viewed the ‘documents’ as wholly unnecessary and having no reason for even existing as no one was found guilty.
Bondi was definitely a problem. I don’t care how many people come out of the woodwork and say “did you think they did all of this in a day? Don’t you think Bondi was on it all along?”
The answer to that is clearly no. I’m not sure I’ll ever be completely comfortable with Blanche, but stuff is happening, when nothing was happening under Blondie. Now we need the follow through.
Although I don’t disagree with the many criticisms about Bondi and Patel here at CTH, there is one problem both faced when they took on the job: finding trustworthy, experienced staff.
100 lawyers quit the Civil Rights Division in the DOJ when Harmeet took over and laid out the Trump agenda. They are not easily replaced, if only because working in the Trump administration could be career death. It may be different after Trump47.
Going after the Russiagate hoaxers, and the J6 conspirators requires absolute secrecy, including the grand juries. Working with a small staff means it takes longer to get to an indictment. Knowing where to look can be a problem (the “burn bags” at the FBI were in a room not on the blueprints).
I think watching the exits to see who bails out after this indictment could be interesting. I hope Blanche makes an example of her. I intend to watch the PA Supreme Court Disciplinary Board to see what happens to her PA law license…

The pain, suffering, financial loss, misery, and hopelessness he has caused the many people of California should be deserving of the death penalty, but he will probably get a slap on the wrist and a small fine that the Taxpayers will foot the bill for. You can tell I am not in a forgiving mood tonight. I want serious consequences for these filthy, criminal politicians from the Clintons, Obamas, Bushes right on down the line of Pelosi, Schmer, the entire Democrat Communist Party, and all Republican RINOs.

Her kind, from what I know of her background and actions to now, are more standard-issue products of the institutional-legal culture that produced her than independent ideologues, IMO. They came to believe that those same institutions would continue to crush any threat to its power and support them to the end. They don’t especially fear getting caught because charges concerning anything to do with Trump or MAGA always go away, and those charged are treated like heroes or at the least, won’t suffer socially or financially. They are told Trump and his forces are unpopular and losing and will be out by mid-terms or 2028. They haven’t yet learned the lesson of Constitutional-based law, of discovery, conviction and jail time, and they’re in too deep to see or accept the change in the political winds that won’t be reversing course anytime soon.
