UPDATE: Massie Loses His Seat – Ed Gallrein Wins Primary!
In one of the most watched primary races of the season, Kentucky House race for congressional district 04 is a challenge of President Trump endorsed Ed Gallrein versus the incumbent Trump antagonist Thomas Massie.
Most of the pontificating high-horse alligator emojis from the DeSantis tribe are supporting Thomas Massie along with significant elements of the GOPe and Bush clan who just want President Trump to get a loss. The anti-Trump republicans have all coalesced behind Massie. Meanwhile, the MAGA group of pro-Trump supporters are aligned to support Massie’s challenger, the Trump-endorsed Ed Gallrein.
Representative Thomas Massie is facing the most difficult re-election battle of his career. Massie has been the most outspoken Republican antagonist of President Trump, who has strongly backed his challenger, Ed Gallrein, a former Navy SEAL. The race has turned into the most expensive congressional primary race on record, with several groups furious over Mr. Massie’s general disposition to be in opposition to anything until Trump is removed.

This is one of Thomas Massie’s top campaign supporters. He openly said he hoped U.S. service members would be kidnapped. Remember when DeSantis constantly bragged about his endorsement from Massie during the 2024 republican primary? Massie must have been shocked when DeSantis did not return his phone calls during this Kentucky republican primary.
DeSantis thought it was a good idea to run against DT in 2024. There is not a dunce cap big enough.
Some friends of mine were staunch Massie supporters. They’re gonna be teed off over this. They don’t see why the rest of us are so anti-Massie and intolerant of his anti-Trump votes and rhetoric.
They say Trump still hasn’t earned their loyalty as “real” conservatives. They nitpick Trump over the most trivial things, and turn a blind eye to the yes votes Massie and Cassidy gave Biden for spending and confirming judges.
I say that’s the most ignorant mindset a conservative could ever have.
If it weren’t for Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton or Jeb Bush would have won in 2016, and either one would probably have gotten a second term.
But Donald Trump stepped into the lurch and crossfire (Hurricane) and fought till the bitter end for Republicans and MAGA and was cheated out of reelection in 2020.
But not before, despite all the arrows and knives he got stuck in him, dragging several Republicans across the finish line. Are you reading this Ron DeSantis?
And what gratitude did he get? Impeachment(bogus) votes by no less than 20 so called “Republicans “ and a primary challenge by Ron DeSantis.
So I don’t care if, to purge these RINOS, we lose a few Republican seats occupied by RiNOS. It will be short term and we’ve a good chance of making them up somewhere else.
I hope DJT is savoring seeing Massie and Cassidy getting frog marched out of their respective chambers by the voters. Love it!

I’ve been reading CTH daily for 14 years. I’m thrilled that Massie lost. What’s weird for me is that the first time I ever heard of Massie was in the comments here on CTH, where someone wrote Massie is “the smartest man in Congress.” So, initially, I had a good impression of him.
There are many of us here very disappointed in Thomas Massie.

Massie initially earned a lot of goodwill by calling out the foreign influence over the federal government. Unfortunately, he blew it all over the past two years with his constant anti-MAGA votes. Sadly, I see Rand Paul trending in the same direction.

He may be the smartest man soon to depart Congress. I’m sure he’s being compensated *very* well for his sabotage of MAGA and DJT.

Hey Treehousers – I voted for DJT in 2024 and contributed funds to his victory. I also supported Massie in his campaign against AIPAC, Singer, Paulson and Addelson. Massie lost but so did Magaman i.e. he lost the support of Anti-Democrats but non MAGA personality cultists – like me. There are many of us.
As of today, the U.S. is in an unconstitutional war initiated and continued from someone that was going to put America first and stop the endless wars. As of today, gasoline prices are double the amount when Magaman took office and with an economy little better than that of Sleepy Creepy Joe. As of today, the U.S. is more trillions in debt from Megaman’s OBBB, again little different from Autopen, Sleepy, Creepy Joe.
Treehousers, it is obvious that Magaman is a tool of Israel and that America’s Constitution or financial future is really not a concern. Treehousers, it is also obvious Magaman and his friends are deeply part of the Epstein class and really just want to keep the party going, whether at Mar-a-Lago or the golden White House ballroom.
