The best way through this is to define viewpoints, not people, because people will shift as they change position and velocity in Trump gravity.
Bash the neocon, warmonger, and dopey globalist positions – not the people who are going to hold them one moment and come loose from them later.
Trump is Jupiter moving through the asteroid belt. He is going to pull people into his orbit.
A few will get slung off into space, but most will come along for the ride of their lives.
I am ON the Trump Train for good, even if I scream that I want off and can’t take it. In the end, I only want to scream “TOO MUCH WINNING!!!”

Here is the game plan that the forces against Trump will be using for the foreseeable future.
They will attempt to get you to make the perfect the enemy of the good.
Be it the freedom clowns and spending, the immigration hawks with H1B visas, the peace doves with timing, the cultural warriors with total bans of DEI/CRT, the neocons with war fighting, or the swamp dwellers with draining the swamp.
All of them will attempt to get you to believe on whatever issue is the issue of the day that it doesn’t go far enough or do enough. They will try to make you think that some sub issue of that issue is more important and should be handled first, that since the issue hasn’t been handled yet it won’t be, that we can’t do more than one thing, that so and so is a plant to stop the draining of the swamp, or that because it wasn’t 100% Trump lied. On every single issue, one or more groups will attempt this strategy.
You can’t allow them that power over you. If Trump secures the border and deports 2 million, don’t allow them to reduce that good by them saying well he didn’t deport 2.5 million, so he failed or lied.
You can’t allow them to use the perfect to void out the good in the coming months.
They will try. They already have with the CR and the H1b visa debates. It works, that is why they use it. You have to keep it in the front of your head on everything about to occur that half a loaf or hopefully in most cases 7/8ths a loaf is better than no loaf.
Do not allow them to gaslight you into thinking the good is the enemy of the perfect.
In the real world, most things are never perfect, but if we try real hard, we can get plenty of good accomplished in the coming 4 years.

The purpose and goals of President Trump are plainly visible by his actions and consistent: He is for the benefit first of the common PEOPLE of this country, then of the PEOPLE in the rest of the world. It is validating, even to our battered conservative skepticism.
The methods of his leadership are amazing. I still don’t get HOW he does it, or HOW he is able to get so much momentum going, but every day the momentum is growing. Everyone and every organization has their eyes opened every day — just by watching him. Even those who hate him, are biased against him, and want to see him gone — cannot ignore him. He lives rent free in their head, and they come around to seeing the universal principles by which he is operating. He hammers actions based on truth from one direction, then another, and they cannot mount an organized opposition against him.
President Trump is transparent in his words and actions. He is consistent in what he says, what he does, and what he asks/demands of others. His promises are bold and he keeps them like no other president has. He continues to make massive, nearly overnight changes, not only in our country, but in the world. It is amazing that he is able to accomplish so much when there are so many snakes in the grass. This second term, he is weeding them out faster and choosing like-minded servants who multiply his effectiveness. No U.S. president has ever faced so much organized resistance and treason than President Trump
He has chosen to use his intellect and every skill he has to do what is right. He has tremendous faith that he can make a difference in this world. He has a confidence and courage such that he doesn’t care what others think, yet a humility to know he has to do it with the help of like minded people. Those people are the “common” people, and he ridicules those who think they are not common. He does not show humility before men, but his actions show humility before God.
He believes people are basically good. He believes that God is real. He believes that healthy people are happy people, and they need to be able to create wealth freely for their labor, and have the freedom to spend their money on what is good for them.
He believes the United States, with its Constitutional Republic, is the best environment in the world to enable and give opportunity for people to be happy and prosperous.
He believes that we can be a light for the world, but we must demand that the rest of the world respect us and our right to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.
He believes the enemy of our country are the stupid, greedy American people who have been selfishly taking advantage of this country; who betrayed the trust and obedience of its people; and who diverted the people’s wealth for their own selfish gain, at the expense of the principles of this country. He’s not going to allow that anymore. He is not afraid to call out our enemies.
He has cultivated and focused the family of MAGA. Identifying those people whose goodness, industriousness, trust, and obedience have been taken advantage of and abused. He has opened our eyes to this abuse, and to the rights of freedom and self determination that have been quietly stolen from us.
He has rekindled the same healthy distrust held by our founders of government and men with too much power. He has recultivated the desire to reclaim our freedoms and rights, and is empowering us with a hope and pathway to reclaim our spiritual and economic freedom.
He wants the US to be a light of hope on the hill for all people. He will negotiate win/win agreements with those nations and countries who respect us; who respect the principles and intent of our Constitution. If you do not respect us, however, we are not going to let you take advantage of our goodness, or share in our wealth at our expense. If you as a nation are treating your people badly, you are going to be treated less favorably by us, until you show that you value your people as much as we value ours. He believes that nations who treat their people well will also be good economic neighbors with us.
He is convincing those who are very wealthy (most of whom truly earned their money), that the best economic soil in which to build wealth is in a constitutional republic, which supports the ability of the common man to earn wealth in proportion to his efforts. The economic engine of the United States is the human spirit freed to enjoy the fruits of honest labor, and that engine has more natural and raw horsepower than any other governed economy.
The Trump Train seems to be remarkably aligned with universal principles of Truth, which reflect the will and design of our Creator, and are the best standard by which we should live. These same principles were what our country’s founders used to declare independence, and framed into the Constitution of this nation.
Our founders believed that a nation should preserve the right and freedom of an individual to seek, understand, and live by God’s principles. They believed that free individuals working together in humility would make a stronger nation than a government which dictates its will on the people. President Trump professes and seeks to lead and restore this nation back to these same principles.
These principles resonate deeply within all human beings, down to our DNA in every cell, in our spirits, and produce fruit that “miraculously” multiplies. Because we follow universal principles, we see the snowballing acceleration of momentum. Lord please bring your power and might in the daily working of this sacred Nation you gave us.

On 6/24/22, in Dobbs v Jackson, SCOTUS ended the half a century long constitutional right of abortion in overturning Roe v. Wade.
On 1/22/23, following EO 14,076 from 7/8/22, POTUS Biden issued a memorandum allowing access to the “Mifeprex” even in states where abortion is banned. If PDJT had similarly disregarded any SCOTUS ruling, then all kinds of legal scholars would have conjured up a veritable constitutional crisis via MSM.
On 6/13/24, SCOTUS in a 9-0 ruling [3], found that agroup of anti-abortion doctors have no legal standing.

On December 20, 2016, the FBI found out that the supposed super source behind the fraudulent Steele dossier, the man portrayed as having access to Putin’s innermost secrets, was in fact a total nobody who had interned at the Brookings Institution.
When questioned, the supposed super source told the FBI that the dossier was just bar talk. Despite this, Comey proceeded as though it were real, taking it to the FISA court and briefing Congress on the lies, all while pretending he didn’t know it was made up.
Worst of all, he also briefed President Trump, then leaked the fact that he had briefed President Trump, thereby laundering those lies into a full scale investigative and media operation that drove a multi year lawfare campaign against a sitting president and those around him.
So when Comey now adopts a sanctimonious tone about the FBI being “under siege,” it lands with a particular irony. He is the one who turned the FBI into the siege engine.

I am late to the party, regarding the thread about the Supreme Court and the Shawn Montgomery case, so I will post here. I could not find anything relating to the details of the accident.
20 years ago, there was a big rig accident involving an Eastern European truck driver…his rig rolled over onto a minivan, with a family inside it. The family perished.
It turned out there had been, back then in IL, hanky panky regarding foreigners and CDL’s.
About 6 months ago, there were multiple roll overs and crashes that were routinely shutting down I-80 and other expressways, in Chicagoland. Some involved a medical helicopter, for the evacuation of the victims. There were a few that involved semi versus semi.

Back in the late 90’s, I cannot recall exactly when…many hospitals were designated as Trauma Centers…and that number eventually diminished as the march towards the Affordable Care Act moved forward…(that was planned for, people, Bush got it started on steroids with he Medicare medicine changes). Trauma Care is very expensive and not a money maker, while to preserve life, it is an essential ‘service’.
IMHO, re the truck situations…there are too many entities involved with subsequent ability to point fingers elsewhere, where the corporate lawyers make out like bandits…and the average FORGOTTEN MEN AND WOMEN, are well, forgotten, while the involved entities attempt to shift blame and liability.
A man lost the use of his extremity…why does it take 9 years to get to the Supreme Court?

There are fewer Level 1 Trauma Centers because of all the requirements needed to be so. And as larger hospitals have taken over smaller ones, the larger ones get over-extended and close facilities down. And then you wind up with fewer ERs that are operating at Levels 2 and 3, let alone 4 and 5.
And the staffing required is harder to get as well — travelling contracts are very lucrative, burn out is high.
Medicine is a big business now.
Why does it take 9 years to get to the Supreme Court? My simplistic view is that THEY are hoping that you will become frustrated and give up, go broke and/or die first. The system DOES NOT favor the plaintiff. The system is rigged in favor of the lawyers and the defendants.

Underwater bomb discovered at base of dam holding entire city’s drinking water supply… sparking massive federal response
An explosive was discovered underwater at the base of a dam in ALABAMA that supplies the City of Mobile and the surrounding region with drinking water.
The explosive was discovered on Wednesday by divers contracted by the Mobile Area Water and Sewer System (MAWSS), who were surveying the Converse Reservoir dam in Mobile County for routine maintenance and repairs.
The divers immediately reported the device, which MAWSS described as ‘a grenade-type IED (improvised explosive device).’
The Converse Reservoir dam and the water supply it holds in Big Creek Lake are federally designated as critical infrastructure, so the incident was referred to the Department of Homeland Security.
MAWSS pledged to ‘work with relevant law enforcement agencies to enhance security at the reservoir and dam.’
It is unclear how the explosive made it to the bottom of the dam, but bomb experts told 1819 news that the device was likely purposely built and placed there.

The Senate is sovereign. It sets all of its own “rules,” and it hires and empowers its “parliamentarian.” But it can change any and all of this as it pleases. Don’t let Senators hide behind these artificial procedures.
This is correct. The Parliamentarian simply tells the Senate what the current Senate rules allow. They can change the rules anytime they want.
And they don’t actually need a “Parliamentarian” to remind them what their rules are. The entire concept of it is a travesty of Robert’s Rules of Order. (Which such people are extraordinarily fond of, for some reason.)

The role of the parliamentarian is advisory only. The advice is not binding. If the presiding officer doesn’t like the advice, then the parliamentarian can be ignored. That hasn’t happened since the 1970s, but if Thune had a pair he could insist the reconciliation package still be voted on. He doesn’t have to allow this, unless of course he is in on it. The whole Senate does not have to vote on overruling her or vote on changing any rules. Thune could overrule this advice all on his own.
And for that matter, why does he permit someone hired by Harry Reid to continue in that position? This is completely unnecessary. The parliamentarian “serves at the pleasure” of the Majority Leader. He can fire her anytime he wants and hire someone else. The whole Senate does not vote on the hiring as if it were a nomination. If this advice stands, it stands because Thune does not want the bill to be passed.
So, again we see the democrats running the senate. Not sure if true, but if it is but if he can its about time for JD Vance to show a backbone and get rid of her or the spineless Thune to take control. Seems whichever way a person votes they get a democrat or its choice to rule the senate. Don’t they have enough fake repubs such as Collins, Murorski and Paul Do they need to slap us in the face with a obvious.

Unemployment is high with millions in rural provinces living in poverty, and massive housing complexes that now sit empty.
Most importantly, and perhaps I’m stating the obvious here, none of these problems are a topic on the Chinese evening news.
In fact, pessimism itself is forbidden on the Chinese internet.
The freedoms we have, they simply do not.

The two contestants in the Peloponnesian War destroyed themselves in prosecuting it. That’s the trap, and it’s a wise one to avoid.
The problem with the paradigm is that the U.S. is an established power that isn’t in a true decline at this moment, and China is already a more or less established power that isn’t in a true ascension at this moment.
It’s very interesting how the U.S. decline/China rise is still being pushed, when the realities aren’t supporting it; kinda like somebody really wants you to believe it for some unknown reason.
The biggest thing the Dems are going nuts about is that President Trump had a drink in China breaking his own rule against alcohol.

It’s called: “Diplomatic Protocol.” And both parties – being the experienced public actors that they are – did not overlook a single thing. (Nor did their staff.)
Yes, it is “public performance.” And “little” things, like these, in situations like this, matter. (Such as: “the palace guards stand rigidly at attention as Air Force One taxies past” … and cameras capture the detail.)

On Wednesday I offered a little essay on American Childhood: Mrs. Ausonius found this comment on FaceBook (a.k.a. FarceBook) today about Catholic Life in small-town America, specifically, Kalida, Ohio.
Kalida has only one church, a Catholic Church, in an area heavily populated by descendants of German Catholic immigrants, who came to avoid the anti-Catholic atmosphere created by Bismarck and his Kulturkampf (cultural struggle) against the Catholic Church.
In my essay, I mentioned how a mid-20th-century style “free range childhood” seems to have persisted in America’s rural villages, small towns, and smaller cities. Religion is still important, as are children and families! We have noticed in our small-city parish that families with children are surviving well.
This comment about Saint Michael’s Church of Kalida, Ohio offers additional evidence:
“As part of our family’s ongoing journey of experiencing Catholic faith, culture, and identity throughout the surrounding area, we attended Mass this past Sunday at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Kalida.
We arrived early, and before Mass had even begun, the church was already filling up. The first thing we heard when we walked in was the children’s choir singing. Combined with the beauty of the church itself, it created an atmosphere that immediately felt different from the modern world outside its walls.
The church was absolutely beautiful. Packed pews. Large families. Children everywhere.
People dressed seriously for worship. Ushers opening the doors as people entered.
And for a moment, it felt like stepping into a part of Catholic life that many people today barely remember anymore.
Not a performance. Not entertainment. Not a casual social gathering.
Something older. More rooted. More reverent. More permanent.
The Mass itself was reverent and serious, even if imperfect in some ways. But honestly, the thing that stayed with me most afterward was not one particular part of the liturgy.
It was the overwhelming presence of young families and children.
In a culture constantly talking about decline, collapsing communities, falling birthrates, loneliness, and the loss of meaning, there is something powerful about walking into a packed Catholic church full of parents raising children inside a living tradition that stretches back centuries.
Places like this do not sustain themselves automatically.
They survive because generations of ordinary people choose to preserve them — through faith, sacrifice, family life, and continuity.
And after leaving, I could not help but feel that places like this still represent one of the few remaining signs of real cultural and spiritual stability in the modern world.

While I am not Catholic, I certainly appreciate Easter and Christmas services which are hosted by neighboring Lutheran and Episcopal congregations. Which celebrate – and preserve – the “old traditions.”

A more ruinous decade has not been seen, until this century with MAObama and The Manchurian Marionette.
In the 1960’s, a mania about “out with the old” took hold, and almost everything from our Western Heritage had to be either thrown out or “improved.”
Education suffered greatly from idiotic “new and improved” methods, which started the long-term decline of education.
Marvelous buildings from the 1890’s and other eras were torn down and replaced by the ugliest “glass boxes” imaginable.
In short, the Communists unleashed attacks on everything valuable and traditional, to be replaced by egalitarian failure and ugliness.

Social Justice replaced real justice. Morals were thrown aside for ‘do your own thing.’ Children became a burden and abortion the cure. Living life meant self-centeredness. Loving ‘who’ you wanted to became public domain not confined to the bedroom; and abortion became the answer to the promiscuity. Sanctity of Life became egomania.
A mere 10-20% of the population took the reins while the rest of us were raising families, attending church, and having home cooked meals. We took Our eyes off the ball being played on an uneven playing field, and We dozed in the comfort of our homes.
AND that small percentage of Culture Class went on to spread their gospel through universities, Hollywood, and Main Street Corners.
Counter Culture has to be countered IMHO. The future depends on it, literally.

Beautiful. Though not Catholic the reemergence of young people is wonderful in our church as well and growing by leaps and bounds.
I was the only non Catholic involved in a Catholic wedding in the early 70s. During the wedding Mass, Communion was given to all those in the wedding. When the young Priest came to me he knew I wasn’t Catholic. He asked during the ceremony when was the last time I had Communion and I said I couldn’t remember. Then he gave me Communion which I now believe looking back was the beginning of my Spiritual journey. It took until the early 80s but it took nonetheless!
Been there, hearing children in church, in the park, and out shopping brings hope to me. For awhile it became scarce, it’s picking up here in my surroundings and I’m overjoyed.

Supporters of the Free Speech Fairness Act believe legislation would provide a more permanent resolution.
The current text of the Free Speech Fairness Act states ” A Bill to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to allow charitable organizations to make statements relating to political campaigns if such statements are made in the ordinary course of carrying out its tax-exempt purpose.”
Currently, only about 1 in 3 Christians vote. Historically, pastors played a key role in encouraging their congregations to vote and run for office, to be strong and maintain Biblical values in the public square. Educating congregations on what the Bible says about cultural issues was commonplace prior to the Johnson Amendment. Our desire is to see a return to these traditional practices that helped maintain a moral and virtuous society in America.

I don’t think it’s anything religious, those are the dominant narratives in the culture meant to discourage people. “I don’t like any of them” or “It doesn’t matter anyway” are heavily promoted in culture. It’s like the near disdain people seem to get from a jury summons. The really important things are heavily discouraged, I wonder why? In the case of Christians, it might improve things if pastors would give up on the 501c3 bit and begin actually preaching about the importance of political involvement.
Part of the reason is that the “right” likes to try and convince Christians that our politicians have to meet some superficial model of behavior, “being nice” and “kind”.
At the same time the “left” paints a veneer of compassion and caring all over cutural Marxisim and Liberation Theology – telling Christians that’s what Jesus would want us to do.
No. we need leaders who will face evil, call it what it is, and FIGHT it. We all are flawed.

Honestly … when I am sitting in Church, I really don’t want to hear the Pastor/Priest/Speaker talking about “politics.” Because it makes me feel like a “captive audience.” Now is not the time . . .
“Politics,” in this setting, is “low-hanging fruit.” The congregation/audience has deeper spiritual and emotional needs. Which the Pastor/Priest should be attentive to.

Separating church from state is Marxist politics at its worst. Silence from the pulpit has enabled it.
Without God’s devine intervention, the courage of deeply persecuted British and European Christians, and the Grace of our Lord…..America quite simply, would never have come to exist.
Stumping on the pulpit is not what this is about. This law was passed and enforced to ensure God’s will, God’s law would no longer drive our civic governance. Christian pastoral leadership is crucial to keep us whole – to ensure man’s law follows from God’s law.

Yet the pastors steer clear of calling out abortion, human trafficking, organ trafficking, the constitutionally improper imposition of gay marriage by SCOTUS on the entire US population, and the rise of voices normalizing pedophiles.
We may be a pretty far distance from “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God” but the reality of Hell never being connected up with these things from the pulpit has been a dereliction of pastoral duty the likes of which has rarely been seen in history.

Priests preaching the gospel, not politics, is the answer IMHO. Good morals and commonsense don’t come from politics.
Priests shouldn’t sully themselves getting involved in politics in the pulpit. And what he does in his private life is up to him, the last thing I want to know about my Priest is his political stand.

The Democrats are talking about making Puerto Rico, and Washington DC states. The Republicans should be at them to the punch while including other new states, including the State of Liberty (eastern Washington) and Jefferson (north California/south Oregon). They could also grant eastern Oregon and western Virginia the ability to join Idaho/West Virginia. If nothing else, it would show the Democrat’s hypocrisy.
