The big problem is the party they are relying on to fight the communists (democrats) has been sleeping with them for a couple of generations now. The current GOP is absolutely telling Trump and his voters to get stuffed. For people that don’t believe this, I have no idea how much more you need to see from the GOP.
We are 16 months into Trump’s second term and the GOP hasn’t done one significant thing on Trump’s core agenda. Contrast that to how the democrats behave when they get full control. People on the right need to stop making excuses for their GOP and admit they will never really fight against the democrats. Certainly not nationally, but also true within many state GOP orgs.

The national GOP must be hoppin’ mad at these state level GOP’s that are undoing all of the racial gerrymandering. This was not supposed to happen. The plan was to do nothing on Trump’s agenda, blunt him at every turn, piss-off their voters, and watch the house and senate go solidly to the democrats in Nov (just like 2018). Then blame Trump for the losses due to his heavy-handed autocracy and his making everything 10X more expensive than they were with gas prices and tariffs. The Fox News/WSJ crowd has already started hinting at some of this in their news blurbs. They too will blame Trump.
If you don’t think this is what the GOP has been plotting, you are totally stoned on hopium or just not paying much attention. Tossing the house is looking harder for the GOP now, but tossing the senate is very likely and always has been. Just look at the 2026 senate races and tell me how the GOP keeps the senate. They will not flip one single democrat seat, but there are at least six GOP seats that are very “flip-able”, maybe a few more.
If you don’t hate the GOP already, you will for sure on Nov 4th.
