President Donald Trump speaks to reporters near the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool as it undergoes renovations. President Trump answers questions on Iran, current policy matters, the FBI raid in Virginia, the upcoming trip to China and national issues from this historic location. WATCH:
.

President Trump remains very optimistic about getting the fanatical Iranian Regime to agree to his terms, but I can hardly imagine why. anymore.
Because Iran regime is between a rock and a hard place. No options.
<Because Iran regime is between a rock and a hard place.>
Actually Iran is between Iraq and a hard place 🙂
Good one
The obvious solution is a change in the fanatical Iranian Regime. … The battle-cry of the fanatical Muslim is = “My way ONLY or death.” … It’s the opponent’s death or the fanatical Muslim fights until his death. … The fanatical Muslim >sincerely believes, “he will receive his 72 Virgins in Paradise, when he dies.”
Former President Jimmy Carter helped bring the ‘fanatical Iranians’ to power in Iran. If the Great Donald Trump can change the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of American, the Great Donald Trump should change the name of all the memorials to Jimmy Carter, to Judas Carter memorials.
Once in a lifetime leader.
MAGA!
Absolutely. I try explaining to people (especially young ones) who are still locked into donkey-elephant games and media, that they have an opportunity to watch and witness the most pivotal moment in America’s history since the near collapse of the Continental Congress.
If you can go see this movie!
Show them the Iranian radicals who kidnapped Americans in Iran and held them captive for 444 days.
Show them the bombing of the Marine barracks in Lebanon that killed hundreds of their fathers and family members.
Or the USS Cole among thousands of instances of Americans and other innocent civilians slaughtered by a Religion and what they do to innocent people in Iran.
I have been saying the same thing. We have 50 year old citizens and younger folks who know nothing about the history of Iran and they must know to fully understand the WHY of this situation. Most of them fall into a category of brainwash by teachers and educators who were alive during the Vietnam war …most of us became teachers.
The Patty Hurst event gave way to radicals in CA at the time. The beginning of the fall for CA. Then Charles Manson, then Rodney King……Do I need say more to where and how the chaos began.
Due to their poor education, many would say the U.S deserved it.
“A disgrace to ask that question” – “This reporter is from ABC Fake News, she is a horror show! Such a stupid question, why would we fix up the pool by the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument, because America is about beauty, cleanliness, and great people! Maybe you don’t see dirt, but I do!”
Brutally honest! 🙂 Give us more of that!
I was filthy everytime I walked by it. Plastic, single use water bottles by the thousands, rotten leaves, dark brown dirty water, candy wrappers, the President is right to clean the pool.
Let’s be honest:
Americans are the ones who trashed the pool.
Americans are the ones who display such disrespect for our nation, other Americans and themselves.
The Reflecting Pool has certainly reflected America.
May America begin to respect her history , fellow Americans and our future.
How do you know it was Americans who trashed it?
DC has been nearly 100% Democrats, blacks and illegals for decades.
Applying the word “American” to that crowd of deranged dissidents is grosser than than the non-reflecting cesspool.
My question to you is have you ever been near dirty water and smelled the vomit-inducing stink? Would you pay to go visit some place with that kind of unclean environment? Have you ever commented on why San Francisco city streets have to undergo massive cleaning? Apart from the health hazards? Have you, or will you go swimming in pools which have not been cleaned?
I lived in San Francisco in the early 70’s and would go back to visit whenever I had a decent break. Eventually the smell of urine on the streets was too much to take.
Have you ever gone down to subway in New York? It is a dumb question to ask why we’d clean or maintain national monuments or public parks and memorials. Then again, the way some behave in public wouldn’t wann see their place of living
New York subway has not changed for as long as I have known them to be since the 70s.
New York was my favorite place from the 70s to early 2000s, and will always have a warm place in my heart. For me, New York will always be New York. Maybe because the heydays were when PDJT was still a businessman operating out of there most of the time. The city was vibrant and always had a good buzzling feel to it.
I had often thought then, that if it sunk into the sea, and they recreate it with an exact replica, it is not New York. Not as we all know it to be then.
Those days I would never bypass her on trips visiting friends all over the U.S. on the way to Europe and to Asia, and back again to the Caribbean where I was living and working out of the islands. PamAm was the greatest airline that did all those countries and their best was a ticket for three months. You can go anywhere they fly to, on any flight back and forth if you like during that time. Some of those trips the crew would ask ‘Where are you going to today? When are you coming this way again? I digress.
Mornings in New York City were the greatest when it was happiness to walk down the streets from my apartment in Manhattan and head for the bakeries, not one but several and load up with fresh pastries. The Jewish delis were a delight. Always end up getting too much and repeat the next morning! Cheese shops seem to have a gluing effect on my shoes .. I could never get out just buying my favorites. Always looking for European specialties. Those cheese shops in those days, you can find every cheese ever made for sale. Also able to buy the hard cheeses in wheels. Nostalgia!
The last time I was in NY and took the subway was in 2018. Only because my sister and her husband wanted to see NY, my brother-in-law wanted to ride the sub. So, ok, since they have never been to New York. Never again. Pity. Rundown and dirty as ever though in the earlier years it was great to go places; but over the years, maintenance being zero when no money was put into maintenance; let alone upgrade; it got dangerous too, to use it.
I suppose you moved out then.
It is such a pity. That was a great time. All the iconic places, the traditional electric streetcars were a joy to ride – that loss especially, made me cry when they stopped running. The museums, theatres, Chinatown, Fisherman’s Wharf .. the food, always loved the sourdough (not of the same quality any more these days) .. the list runs long. Since the mid 80’s, I have not visited any of my favorite places; particularly the Asian museum with so much that goes back 6,000 years!
The last time I was in San Francisco was October and December last year, for some official business – there and back the same day each time.
Since then I learned that the train to downtown is not running any more. Imagine the cab fare to get to Market Street on a time schedule. Trying to synchronize flight arrivals and cab is a nightmare. Not seeing making a SF trip of that era 70s – 80s. My experiences tells me to never go back to any place you love, because all your great memories will be destroyed. To a greater or lesser extent, it is true.
A pity because the people there are great. Everyone I have met, even strangers have a certain calm focus no matter what they are doing; very approachable, friendly in a naturally pleasant warm way.
who was the presstitute?
She was not identified specifically, only that she worked for “ABC Fake News” and is a known “Horror Show.” 🙂 😉
LOL
Another angry harpy trying to make herself famous by, “Getting Trump.”
They never learn.
Rachel Scott is the harpy.:max_bytes(150000):strip_icc()/rachel-scott-gma-abc-engage-getty-recirc-0124-087648d210f04101b16c0e49aaf23ca2.jpg)
Shocker….
Her name is Rachel Scott
Now known forever as Rachel “Horror Show” Scott!!! 🙂
The late Professor Sir Roger Scruton spoke and wrote passionately about beauty.
“I want to persuade you that beauty matters; that is not just a subjective thing, but a universal need of human beings. If we ignore this need, we find ourselves in a spiritual desert.”
Which is where we are, and President Trump is one of the very few who understands this. Look at our cities for a start….
He can’t fix everywhere; but he can leave Washington DC. in a better state than when he arrived. To my ear he was channeling Sir Roger’s spirit. And in hearing his answer to her…like you, Ausonius…I cheered.
In this age of ugliness in all its forms, we have neglected this virtue. Our spirit absolutely is the poorer for doing so.
Yes please…much more of this!!
For anyone who might be unfamiliar with Sir Roger Scruton, I’ll leave this essay “Roger Scruton on why beauty matters and the cult of utility”.
Embedded within it is an hour long tutorial (I’ll call it) which is very much worthy of a coffee and a watch…

Agreed. I don’t think lots of people realize the importance of our physical environment.
Modernist architecture tends to dull the individual human spirit.
The ugliness is oppressive.
Excellent presser. Evidently the gaggle of geese either had been fed or were somewhere else. Though it might be a fantasy outlook, Iran will one day get fed up with Iran and do something about it.
By the way, did I just hear President Trump say he likes Coryn and is considering endorsing him?
Lol. Have you forgotten he used to call Hillary ‘beautiful’?
And no, he did not say he was considering endorsing Cornyn. He said he likes both Paxton and Cornyn and will be making a decision in a ‘relatively short period of time.’
The trip to China should never take place for many reasons.
Not trying to be a weenie here, but I’m curious about the apparent east wing debris disposal location. Yes, I’ve read bits about it and would like the CTH take on things. I would hope construction debris (esp 100+ year old materials, lead, asbestos?) would be properly sorted and disposed properly. The news reports makes it seem it’s just big chunks being disposed of. I am NOT trying to be a weenie. I am wondering.
I would be looking for listening devices.
