The idea that “G‑d is One” means not only that there is one G‑d, but that G‑d and the whole of creation are actually one. There is nothing apart from G‑d. Nothing exists outside of Him; everything that we perceive, every particle of existence, is nothing but a veiled manifestation of G‑d. For this reason, everything in the universe is totally dependent on G‑d at every moment. G‑d created the universe a long time ago, but He also perpetually recreates its existence – a stream of energy emanating from the infinite essence of G‑d, recreating the universe at every moment. Were He to remove this life-giving force, the universe and all therein would cease to exist.
Yes, excellent advice from John Mac Arthur (below). Simple concept, but it needs constant training and reminder. Remember we as humans cannot hold more than 1 thought at a time (although it may feel like duality). So, when a “negative” thought occurs, we have the power (via free choice) to stop, and purposely “force” a “good” thought into its place. IE stop the negative conversation before it becomes an overwhelming self destructive dialogue. Prayer, reading of scripture, focused meditation and doing good are some conquering tools to silence the negative “voices” – so is a fridge reminder 🙂

Wednesday of the Fifth Week of Easter
Today marks the older observance of St. John before the Latin Gate. A tradition mentioned by St. Jerome, which goes back to the second century, says St. John the Apostle was taken to Rome under the Emperor Domitian and plunged into a cauldron of boiling oil; by a striking miracle he came out safe and sound from this torture. A church dedicated in honor of St. John was built near the Latin Gate, the spot referred to by the tradition.

One day Salome presented her two sons, James and John, to Jesus, and with a mother’s ambition asked Him to grant them the highest places in his Kingdom. In reply, the Savior spoke of the chalice which He Himself would have to drink, and foretold that these two disciples would also drink of it. The elder, James the Great, was the first to give his Master this proof of his love. John, the younger brother, offered his life in testimony of Jesus’ divinity.
But the martyrdom of the latter Apostle called for a scene worthy of the event. Asia Minor, which his zeal had evangelized, was not a sufficiently glorious land for such a combat. Rome, whither Peter had transferred his Chair and where he died on his cross, and where Paul had bowed down his venerable head beneath the sword, alone deserved the honor of seeing the beloved disciple march on to martyrdom, with that dignity and sweetness which are the characteristics of this veteran of the Apostolic College.
In the year 95 John appeared before the tribunal of pagan Rome. He was convicted of having propagated, in a vast province of the Empire, the worship of a Jew who had been crucified under Pontius Pilate. He was considered a superstitious and rebellious old man, and it was time to rid Asia of his presence. He was, therefore, sentenced to an ignominious and cruel death.
A huge cauldron of boiling oil was prepared in front of the Latin Gate. The sentence ordered that the preacher of Christ be plunged into this bath. The hour had come for the second son of Salome to partake of his Master’s chalice. John’s heart leapt with joy. After cruelly scourging him, the executioners seized the old man, and threw him into the cauldron. But, lo! the boiling liquid lost all its heat; the Apostle felt no scalding. On the contrary, when they took him out again he felt all the vigor of his youthful years restored to him.
The praetor’s cruelty was foiled, and John, a martyr in desire, was to be left to the Church for some few years longer. An imperial decree banished him to the rugged Isle of Patmos, where God revealed to him the future of the Church even to the end of time.

Since we discussed security I complied a video of the security detail on Netanyahu. The main thing that I wanted to mention already yesterday is that a Security person is not about what they are “doing”, it’s about what they are ”being”.

The K-9 was a bomb sniffing dog. They sniff out bombs and indicate to their handler where it is. They are not trained to attack.
The picture of the subject lying down with no shirt had agents with rifles in the background. He was obviously taken down after running through the check point. That would not have been difficult if he first fired his shotgun and then had no weapon to fire.

Five RINO Senators that voted against redistricting learned the hard way yesterday! Indiana is MAGA and there are new rules to the game, but the RINO machine didn’t realize just who they were dealing with!
It is always delicious to watch these people cry. This is hilarious coming from Bozos in a party that demands their congresspersons and Senators toe the Party line like zombies or they’ll dump money and effort into their primary to get them unseated.

There are 40 Republican Senators and 10 Democrat Senators in the Indiana State House. Yesterday 26 Republican Senators endorsed by Trump won their primary. Anyway the current president of the Senate will be president no longer when they seat the new assembly.

My mind is wandering this morning…I came across this as I ponder the plastics conundrum…I had read an article, a while back, that implied polyester clothing is not healthy and that the toxins can be absorbed into our bodies (am looking for it)….and possibly toxic…here is one article…and a clip from it…

This year a watershed for harmful clothing. Tough finding 100% cotton or linen at retail. From childhood anything but cotton/linen were yuck or gross on my skin. My bedsheets must be percale.
This year, hunting some new tops, was at Marshall’s, they had zero tops 100% cotton, and only 1 top 100% linen. Negotiated with myself, and decided as an elder female to finally branch out and by a soft blue linen top ! Sweet surprise, that soft blue goes with a lot of my pants/dress shorts/skirts. Was looking at only the size small racks.
Also a thrift store shopper, same issue, rare this year finding 100% cotton for shirts.
Love those days at the thrift store when someone died/gained weight and their vintage clothes are waiting for me on the size small racks. Thrift store also has amazing blazers in the men’s section, size small, have bought them in 100% wool, cotton, linen. Adore their slight shoulder pads and pretty interior lining, great for rolling the cuffs up. Often, pair the men’s blazers cinched with a great belt.
How depressing shopping for new clothes compared to our thrift store.
Don’t get me started on fake shoe materials instead of leather.
Included ‘size small’ on purpose. My mother in law, comfortable financially, told me to always keep my weight, never upsize. Wonderful financial/lifestyle, advice.
I’m very pleased to say I am seeing more of the ‘Indian’ cotton like from the 70s.
Also rayon and linen. In the discount stores, no less. Imported of course.
I also do a lot of thrift store/estate sale shopping.
Have also found nice natural fiber clothes on the tv shopping shows.
Always on the look-out for linen and my favorite, silk.
Just found gorgeous blouses of silk, linen, cotton and rayon at my local SPCA re-sale shop.
Hi, Aggiegirl, I read somewhere that female children should not wear the polyester leggings which are so popular now. Something to do with reproductive organs and possible damage to. We’re told that fertility is down and this may be one of many reasons.
Remember when men were told to ditch the ‘tighty whities’ and stay out of the hot tub?
Something else to think about.
Folks in my family are overly fertile.

COMMENTARY FOR ISAIAH 66:13
God looks at the heart, and vengeance is threatened for guilt. (1-4) The increase of the church, when Jew and Gentile shall be gathered to the Redeemer. (5-14) Every enemy of the church shall be destroyed, and the final ruin of ungodly men shall be seen. (15-24)
5-14 The prophet turns to those that trembled at God’s word, to comfort and encourage them. The Lord will appear, to the joy of the humble believer, and to the confusion of hypocrites and persecutors. When the Spirit was poured out, and the gospel went forth from Zion, multitudes were converted in a little time. The word of God, especially his promises, and ordinances, are the consolations of the church. The true happiness of all Christians is increased by every convert brought to Christ. The gospel brings with it, wherever it is received in its power, such a river of peace, as will carry us to the ocean of boundless and endless bliss. Divine comforts reach the inward man; the joy of the Lord will be the strength of the believer. Both God’s mercy and justice shall be manifested, and for ever magnified.

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

Prayer Of Thanksgiving In The Evening
Praise Your holy name Heavenly Father, for granting yet another day in my life and for being with me every step of the way. Thank You for the many blessings that You have provided and the love and fellowship that I have with the friends and family that in Your grace You have placed in my life.
My heart is so thankful for all the many blessings that I enjoy day by day, and today I am once again reminded that Your mercies are new every morning and Your faithfulness endures from generation to generation.
Thank You, that I have been brought into Your family and have been made a child of God and a citizen of heaven. Words cannot express my love and devotion to You Lord
I pray that You would watch over me as I rest tonight, and that You would give me a restful night’s sleep so that I may wake up in the morning refreshed in body and spirit and ready to do Your will. Prayer Of Reflection On The Past Day
Loving Lord, as the day is coming to an end, I want to thank You for being with me in all that has taken place today. I also want to lay the whole day before You, asking that you would show me if there is anything that I have done to hurt or harm another person unknowingly, or if I have done anything that is displeasing in Your sight, or quenched the work of the Spirit in me, so that I may turn away from such things in the days that lie ahead.
Lord, I desire to do Your will in all things. I pray that You would cleanse me of any wrong thoughts or attitudes that may have surfaced in my heart today. Wash me in Your cleansing flood, I pray.
Thank You, that You are a God who forgives our transgressions when we are willing to confess them to You, knowing that such cleansing before You immediately draws us back into sweet fellowship with Yourself.
Give me a good night’s rest I pray, and may I rest quietly in Your loving arms in the knowledge that in Christ, I am eternally secure, due to Your amazing grace, for which I praise You. In Jesus’ name,

Evening Prayer For Forgiveness
Heavenly Father, thank You for bringing me through this day and Lord, forgive me for the times when I have wandered outside Your best will for me, instead of trusting You implicitly.
Thank You, that You are such a gracious Shepherd to me and that You come and rescue me even when I lose my way and stray from the path that You have laid out for me.
As I look back over today, I know Lord that there were things that I should have said and done differently, and times when I reacted in a manner that was not honouring Your holy name. Forgive me I pray, but thank You, Father, that You always faithfully prepared to gently bring me back to Yourself.

for those in tornado or severe storm areas the livestream Ryan Hall Y’all you tube channel is a great resource as he continually updates tornado warning locations, shares storm chaser livestreams and takes questions, and when raises funds makes sures those funds get to actual storm survivors; all in all a great resource to have access to when storms are happening:
not sure if it’s something I finally did on my end of the internet world or somehow something on the Treehouse site got done but, fingers crossed and prayers being said, so far the page hijacking pop ups have stopped showing up, so, Thank You moderators, site technicians for letting me spout off on that problem as there are many fellow Treepers who added great advice and am thinking in there may be what I was able to use that stopped those on my end. Hopefully that problem is gone for everyone else here that also mentioned it happening to them.
