Here is the game plan that the forces against Trump will be using for the foreseeable future.
They will attempt to get you to make the perfect the enemy of the good.
Be it the freedom clowns and spending, the immigration hawks with H1B visas, the peace doves with timing, the cultural warriors with total bans of DEI/CRT, the neocons with war fighting, or the swamp dwellers with draining the swamp.
All of them will attempt to get you to believe on whatever issue is the issue of the day that it doesn’t go far enough or do enough. They will try to make you think that some sub issue of that issue is more important and should be handled first, that since the issue hasn’t been handled yet it won’t be, that we can’t do more than one thing, that so and so is a plant to stop the draining of the swamp, or that because it wasn’t 100% Trump lied. On every single issue, one or more groups will attempt this strategy.
You can’t allow them that power over you. If Trump secures the border and deports 2 million, don’t allow them to reduce that good by them saying well he didn’t deport 2.5 million, so he failed or lied.
You can’t allow them to use the perfect to void out the good in the coming months.
They will try. They already have with the CR and the H1b visa debates. It works, that is why they use it. You have to keep it in the front of your head on everything about to occur that half a loaf or hopefully in most cases 7/8ths a loaf is better than no loaf.
Do not allow them to gaslight you into thinking the good is the enemy of the perfect.
In the real world, most things are never perfect, but if we try real hard, we can get plenty of good accomplished in the coming 4 years.

The purpose and goals of President Trump are plainly visible by his actions and consistent: He is for the benefit first of the common PEOPLE of this country, then of the PEOPLE in the rest of the world. It is validating, even to our battered conservative skepticism.
The methods of his leadership are amazing. I still don’t get HOW he does it, or HOW he is able to get so much momentum going, but every day the momentum is growing. Everyone and every organization has their eyes opened every day — just by watching him. Even those who hate him, are biased against him, and want to see him gone — cannot ignore him. He lives rent free in their head, and they come around to seeing the universal principles by which he is operating. He hammers actions based on truth from one direction, then another, and they cannot mount an organized opposition against him.
President Trump is transparent in his words and actions. He is consistent in what he says, what he does, and what he asks/demands of others. His promises are bold and he keeps them like no other president has. He continues to make massive, nearly overnight changes, not only in our country, but in the world. It is amazing that he is able to accomplish so much when there are so many snakes in the grass. This second term, he is weeding them out faster and choosing like-minded servants who multiply his effectiveness. No U.S. president has ever faced so much organized resistance and treason than President Trump
He has chosen to use his intellect and every skill he has to do what is right. He has tremendous faith that he can make a difference in this world. He has a confidence and courage such that he doesn’t care what others think, yet a humility to know he has to do it with the help of like minded people. Those people are the “common” people, and he ridicules those who think they are not common. He does not show humility before men, but his actions show humility before God.
He believes people are basically good. He believes that God is real. He believes that healthy people are happy people, and they need to be able to create wealth freely for their labor, and have the freedom to spend their money on what is good for them.
He believes the United States, with its Constitutional Republic, is the best environment in the world to enable and give opportunity for people to be happy and prosperous.
He believes that we can be a light for the world, but we must demand that the rest of the world respect us and our right to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.
He believes the enemy of our country are the stupid, greedy American people who have been selfishly taking advantage of this country; who betrayed the trust and obedience of its people; and who diverted the people’s wealth for their own selfish gain, at the expense of the principles of this country. He’s not going to allow that anymore. He is not afraid to call out our enemies.
He has cultivated and focused the family of MAGA. Identifying those people whose goodness, industriousness, trust, and obedience have been taken advantage of and abused. He has opened our eyes to this abuse, and to the rights of freedom and self determination that have been quietly stolen from us.
He has rekindled the same healthy distrust held by our founders of government and men with too much power. He has recultivated the desire to reclaim our freedoms and rights, and is empowering us with a hope and pathway to reclaim our spiritual and economic freedom.
He wants the US to be a light of hope on the hill for all people. He will negotiate win/win agreements with those nations and countries who respect us; who respect the principles and intent of our Constitution. If you do not respect us, however, we are not going to let you take advantage of our goodness, or share in our wealth at our expense. If you as a nation are treating your people badly, you are going to be treated less favorably by us, until you show that you value your people as much as we value ours. He believes that nations who treat their people well will also be good economic neighbors with us.
He is convincing those who are very wealthy (most of whom truly earned their money), that the best economic soil in which to build wealth is in a constitutional republic, which supports the ability of the common man to earn wealth in proportion to his efforts. The economic engine of the United States is the human spirit freed to enjoy the fruits of honest labor, and that engine has more natural and raw horsepower than any other governed economy.
The Trump Train seems to be remarkably aligned with universal principles of Truth, which reflect the will and design of our Creator, and are the best standard by which we should live. These same principles were what our country’s founders used to declare independence, and framed into the Constitution of this nation.
Our founders believed that a nation should preserve the right and freedom of an individual to seek, understand, and live by God’s principles. They believed that free individuals working together in humility would make a stronger nation than a government which dictates its will on the people. President Trump professes and seeks to lead and restore this nation back to these same principles.
These principles resonate deeply within all human beings, down to our DNA in every cell, in our spirits, and produce fruit that “miraculously” multiplies. Because we follow universal principles, we see the snowballing acceleration of momentum. Lord please bring your power and might in the daily working of this sacred Nation you gave us.

One big problem I’m seeing: foreign countries are planning on building factories in the USA; they will remain owned and operated by foreign companies. Labor will be the only thing they want from US; never to own the company, never even be the big bosses.
Sorry, I want American ingenuity, inventiveness, design, AND manufacturing using US minds and supplies. Trump is touting car ‘companies’ coming to America to build their massive multi billion dollar factories, importing the products of manufacturing, and using robots possibly and US laborers, then shipping worldwide. AND they avoid US importation taxation. What about other taxes?? Tax deductions to entice them I’m sure are on the table.
I want American companies, American products, Made in America.

A small town girl who likes a cottage better than a mansion, a corner store with a pharmacist, a doctor down the street, a grocery store with home grown, a school within walking distance, a playground, a hardware store in the next town, a creek, and loads of woods with animals. And a trip to a city becomes exciting, but coming home is always the best feeling in the world.
PS. And gas prices controlled worldwide, petrodollar dominance, energy materials being moved around the world; AND our resources being ‘moved’ too, when it should be used here. I don’t get that either.
Agree with a majority of that (I never find cities “exciting” – with the exception of the occasional centuries old church or museum).
However, given a choice – I would rather the foreign products that people buy be made in our nation, the businesses taxes in our nation, and the jobs in our nation – than have all of that overseas. Besides the loss of jobs and (business, property, wage) taxes of the same facilities being overseas, it also puts us at the mercy of said countries to a degree for supply – whereas if everything is here, then if push came to shove the facilities could be taken over (talking about for necessities – not cars for example). It also should result in lower prices, since the cost of transoceanic shipping is eliminated.
re: Prices being set globally – unless your intent is to go to communism, global natural resources will always be set by global demand. There are savings dealing with transportation costs to be had from local resources – as well as better control of supply for local prices – but in a free society, short of export bans, things are sold to the highest bidder as it were, wherever they may be.
There are also things we here in America don’t have in regards to natural resources, so we have to partake of the global marketplace for those things. Currently rare earths fall in that category due to the lack of processing facilities here – not because of lack of raw ore. Those facilities are also being built.
Communism is not my intention, ever. I’m American, free to the bone, and I want ever home in America to be the seat of government! With the US Constitution and Ten Commandments embedded in the foundations.
I’m not a ‘world’ person, where sovereignty takes a back seat to ‘economy’, independence becomes dependent on other countries for ‘supplies’, where our supplies become part of the ‘world’s’ supplies. You seem to go along with economies merging to form one big world economy, for ‘global natural resources’ to be at everyone’s fingertips.
What does America need that We don’t have; I think of bananas. You think of ‘rare earths’ being supplied by select nations and ‘shipped’ around the world. Without the cry for ‘electric cars’ are ‘rare earths’ in abundance needed?? To power AI?…… instead of nuclear, hydrogen, or just plain water as a source of energy for ‘plants’- industrial plants.
Manufacturing/cars/goods on a ‘global’ scale is fast becoming; farming on a global scale; energy on a global scale; AI on a global scale, etc. The size of the earth has not gotten smaller, like they’d like us to believe, but it really is taking ‘massive’ increases in the moving of ‘products’ around the globe; as opposed to farms and factories close by.
Ecosystems like neighborhoods are the best breeding grounds for the future. Local goods, local schools, local hospitals; Bigger is never better, especially egos, economies, and governments. IMHO

Then you obviously haven’t been paying attention – and appeared to have skipped over my initial comment in my reply.
You additionally seem to think that allowances for some things mean allowances for all, while completely ignoring the “why and how” of things.
However I am a realist, including the reality that rare earth materials are used in a very broad range of things in science – industry – efficient generators (whatever the driving force, including water) and the military.
Well, look at this way…
Some foreign countries make good things that Americans want. Until American companies replace them it makes sense that instead of allowing these companies to build on foreign land with foreign workers and then sell to us….
They have to build it here, using Amerucan workers, and then sell to us.
Hopefully it’s because they are fed up with the anti-American behavior of Dims and not a primaries sabotage effort.
According to this article it has been a slow process over the past two years….so sounds real change.
However, it may partly be because the Republican party in West Virginia switched from an open primary to a closed primary. So non republicans who were voting in repub primaries may have switched so they can still vote in Repub primary.

Property tax – aka, the “you only rent it” tax.

Note – I’ve actually seen trailers like that pictured being on the “property for sale” websites for that much due to them being on 5 acres of land since the insane real estate rise of 2020-2022.
I kid you not that I had seen properties listed in Maine for ridiculous prices similar to that back in 2022.
I’ve seen $250,000+ for a 1/4 acre with a 20 or 30 year old manufactured home on it in need of a remodel. Some likewise also had a shed or small garage in need of maintenance. Inflated! Smh

Thankfully here the assessed value is maxed at 3% annually, had this place over 30 years now. Assessed and market are about 900k apart, county would love for original owners to sell, not going to happen here.
The deal now is insurance is the same as taxes.
The other BS that is going on is with flood insurance, the zone here has no possibility of flooding but, if the assessed value is over x $$ you have to have flood insurance. So new buyers in the neighborhood have to get flood insurance while original owners don’t.
Assessed value and sales value are often different. Not all communities assess at 100%.
It was out of control in Wisconsin a few years back so they passed laws on how often to assess and to at least 90% of value. Before that if a house wasn’t bought or sold assessments were often decades old and neighbors with similar houses could have vastly different tax bills.
Also asking means nothing, what is paid is what counts.
Sounds like an excuse or attempted rationale for them – but I’ll play along.
For a majority of places in America, property taxes are indeed based on the “assessed value” of the property.
That doesn’t mean the “assessed value” isn’t inflated.
That doesn’t mean the tax is NOT flat out wrong.
Or maybe you would prefer someplace like California – where they are going to require inventories of most everything you own so that they can apply “property tax” to it.
It’s a communist idea – period. It is also the ONLY thing you pay taxes on based on value – everything else is based on price at point of creation or sale. It means you don’t own it – only rent it.

Why does one with a 2 bedroom trailer and 6 children pay less than someone with a 3 bedroom home and no children? At the economy of scale that home builders have, your typical “two-bedroom house” can be built for around $50,000 parts-and-labor. It can then be marketed “from the high $200s” to “from the high $500s” depending on the flooring and kitchen appliances. Some homebuilders have to rent cars to park in the driveway and rig up timers to make the empty, unsold homes look lived-in. But eventually they do sell, and tax appraisers love the idea.
I will also say this, however: “It’s a bubble.” Every former pasture is being turned into “gated communities” as fast as the nails can be driven. But it’s not sustainable.
Not a single new home has to be built for the prices to continue to go up…in fact, that would drive prices up if the population continued to rise.
The only way prices go down considerably from their current excessive value is if there is a financial crash or an extended severe recession.
One of the BIG drivers of current costs has nothing to do with builders – it has to do with people migrating from high cost areas to lower cost ones and with companies buying up houses (and also having communities built) for the purposes of them being rentals.
The people migration factor involves for example, people from places like California and NY moving to the south, selling their million dollar homes and going into markets and bidding $100K more than asking price to ensure nobody outbids them. They don’t care if it drives up local housing costs in a continuing spiral – they still have over half a million in their pockets from the sale of their previous home.
We continue to have what you described happening locally.
In my undocumented opinion, the first real increase in property sales was people laundering dope money through real estate and I think some of that is still happening.
50-100M illegal alien squatters & visa holders are living somewhere.
Repatriation leaves lots of supply for far less demand.
What happens to prices?
Yes – I did leave that factor out, thought about it after hitting post, and decided to let it stand. Yes, millions of people illegally here and via H1B and other work visas are most definitely one of the significant drivers.
The coal companies of PA did ‘company homes’, but the backbone of America was strengthened by the people in those homes and the next generations they produced. The celebrations of the first of the family to finish high school, then celebrations for going to college. Having a doctor in the family, an owner of a company, a teacher.
Those neighborhoods made Americans.
Then there came a time when NYers and NJers started coming and buying neighborhoods and remaking them, pushing for consolidated schools, bigger schools, bigger businesses, etc.
And politics changed the way we lived.
Every ‘landowner’ has come across this phenomena throughout the years of taxation; if the value increases so do your taxes. If you sell the home you pay ‘capital gains’, if you die and leave it to someone they pay inheritance tax.
You never ‘own’ your home; oh, you pay it off and have the deed, but the taxes continue and even increase. There really should be a law against it.
But, We all want to do ‘Our share’, so We pay all the taxes sent forward to us. And one hospital bill can wipe out an elder’s lifetime of paying ‘their share.’ The house gets repossessed, the children have to pay up……..Taxes have been the bane of Our existence and seeing Our tax dollars used for nefarious reasons and outright stollen is the price we pay.
Without legal elections it’s all for naught anyway.

Think of it in terms of our faith – if the time comes in our life that the “compromise” is taking the mark or be banished, shut out from society – or even killed – would you so compromise?

many times on my path, I made mistakes … and got off the PATH, …. and when I got into the weeds, had to STOP! Go INSIDE, and tell GOD, sorry GOD, I got off course and ask to be led again in the GOD PATH! This happens so often, even before I went to next higher level, I told the 2 Guardians, …. “please, don’t let me go to the NEXT LEVEL … I screw up all the time, and you should NOT put me in the next level! And after a few days of NOT going FORWARD, one Guardian bend over me and SMILED and said …. “it is OK for YOU to go forward!”.
Looking back at that EVENT, I guess I learned how to STOP and tell GOD, I screwed up, and I need YOU to put me back on TRACK!

In acting, we learn. By learning we correct course to meet circumstances. These are not mistakes. They are evaluating and learning as circumstances arise.
President Trump–unlike many of us–is not frozen in fear by the thought of making “mistakes.” He evaluates and makes decisions and course corrects when new info comes to light. Then he moves on and doesn’t waste time beating himself up for what didn’t work the way he wanted.

For me this is a difficult post. I’m a huge supporter of President Trump and the war against Iran. There is an extreme emergency to finally strip away their terrorist regime and especially all nuclear materials. On the last week I’ve seen gas go from $3.79 to $4.99; a price I will pay to support this war effort but hear people grumbling as this price is tough on them. I completely recognize the costs will dramatically fall after the war is settled but have concerns how this will affect mid terms. I also get the world wide restructure of power this drives, especially resets with China’s influence and right sizing Europe. I’m solid, don’t need haters to reply but the war is lasting longer than was forecast, hopefully the blockage works in the next few weeks.

“There are options. Do we want to go and just blast the hell out of them and finish them forever or do we want to try and make a deal?… on a human basis, I’d prefer [a deal].”
I don’t think we are past the point of no return, but I do think if gas prices don’t come down dramatically by end of summer it will be.

In my opinion, the problem with this war is we’re not fighting the real enemy. Another choice is to overthrow the IRGC and replace its tyranny with a government friendly to us that supports the human rights of the people in Iran. The people have been chanting for the return of their King; we deal with Kings and Emirs and Sultans all over the Middle East, MBS is a King; so what is wrong with letting the Iranian people have their Shah?
It is said Winston Churchill told his war cabinet, about Lend-lease: “The Americans will always do the right thing . . . after they have tried every other alternative.” Let’s imagine a picture of the Middle East, with a government in Iran that is pro-Western, and friendly to America. That picture changes everything.

There are two vulnerabilities that could cost this administration everything:

*of lesser importance but connected to the first two: unity has to be re-established, even if it means chastising so-called ‘staunch supporters’; the in-fighting has to be corrected and not allowed to fester
The month of July is the cut-off point; nothing gets done or worse, the situation deteriorates, and the President is likely to be impeached after a loss of support in November.
And to be honest, I’m not sure if that isn’t the goal of some of the President’s own.

Gas prices at the station nearest my house are right now $3.49. They peaked at over $7 under obama, and averaged $5 – $6 under biden. A great deal of at the pump pricing is the added state gasoline taxes, and in some cases locality added taxes, since sales tax cannot be levied on gasoline.
There is also the political expediency aspect, as many gas stations are corporately owned, and operated by obedient drone workers who question nothing.
We never saw above $5 here even during Dopey.
