Today is another opinion day at SCOTUS. Wil we finally get an opinion in Callais?
Callais is the only case left from the October argument list. It challenges a provision in the 1965 Voting Rights Act that been used to create congressional districts in which a group that is a racial minority in the state is a majority in that district. The plaintiffs claim this violates the Fourteenth Amendment’s Equal Protection Clause.
If the Court strikes down this provision of the VRA, one expects there would be a lot of lawsuits challenging districting in which these minority-majority districts were created. This could really upend all the redistricting being done in several states, and not just in blue states.
Callais is not only the one case from the October list that has not been decided, but Justice Alito is the only justice who has not written a majority opinion from October. Make of that what you will.
Sean Spicer recently claimed in “The Huddle” podcast that the Callais decision has been written, that the racially-defined district provision has been struck down, and the liberals are slow-walking their dissents to make it too late for the states to redistrict. No one else appears to have heard this rumor. However, Mollie Hemingway of the Federalist just revealed that the liberals in Dobbs slow-walked their dissents, so Spicer’s claim may be accurate.

(And in case you’re wondering, Roberts probably does have the authority to release the majority opinion and tell the dissenters their dissents will be published later. But it would take character and backbone to stand up to the liberals….)
Probably another 5-4 decision with Roberts on the wrong side again.
Roberts was against Dobbs. Roberts allowed Dobbs to be slow walked while it was causing death threats and public harassment of the majority. And Roberts was reported to be desperately trying to swing the decision to support his lame compromise to keep a heartbeat in Roe.
Do we think Roberts is once again desperate to compromise the Constitution? Once again colluding with a decision being slow walked?
So far, unlike Dobbs, this leak doesn’t have text. Or protesters at justices homes.
BTW, I have been saying that this decision is being delayed to prevent this from changing 2026 elections long before Hemingway showed how Dobbs was delayed to give time for Roberts to change or eliminate a mind to get a different result.
And I am pretty sure Sundance is right about it leaking from Roberts office because Roberts had it leaked as part of his campaign to change the results. And unlike Senator Warner, Roberts supports the guy he had leak it.

A few will get slung off into space, but most will come along for the ride of their lives.

Here is the game plan that the forces against Trump will be using for the foreseeable future.
They will attempt to get you to make the perfect the enemy of the good.
Be it the freedom clowns and spending, the immigration hawks with H1B visas, the peace doves with timing, the cultural warriors with total bans of DEI/CRT, the neocons with war fighting, or the swamp dwellers with draining the swamp.
All of them will attempt to get you to believe on whatever issue is the issue of the day that it doesn’t go far enough or do enough. They will try to make you think that some sub issue of that issue is more important and should be handled first, that since the issue hasn’t been handled yet it won’t be, that we can’t do more than one thing, that so and so is a plant to stop the draining of the swamp, or that because it wasn’t 100% Trump lied. On every single issue, one or more groups will attempt this strategy.
You can’t allow them that power over you. If Trump secures the border and deports 2 million, don’t allow them to reduce that good by them saying well he didn’t deport 2.5 million, so he failed or lied.
You can’t allow them to use the perfect to void out the good in the coming months.
They will try. They already have with the CR and the H1b visa debates. It works, that is why they use it. You have to keep it in the front of your head on everything about to occur that half a loaf or hopefully in most cases 7/8ths a loaf is better than no loaf.
Do not allow them to gaslight you into thinking the good is the enemy of the perfect.
In the real world, most things are never perfect, but if we try real hard, we can get plenty of good accomplished in the coming 4 years.
Day 100 of the 2nd year of the 2nd term of this very stable genius. History is being made in the kingdoms of this world in the year of our Lord 2026.
The purpose and goals of President Trump are plainly visible by his actions and consistent: He is for the benefit first of the common PEOPLE of this country, then of the PEOPLE in the rest of the world. It is validating, even to our battered conservative skepticism.
The methods of his leadership are amazing. I still don’t get HOW he does it, or HOW he is able to get so much momentum going, but every day the momentum is growing. Everyone and every organization has their eyes opened every day — just by watching him. Even those who hate him, are biased against him, and want to see him gone — cannot ignore him. He lives rent free in their head, and they come around to seeing the universal principles by which he is operating. He hammers actions based on truth from one direction, then another, and they cannot mount an organized opposition against him.
President Trump is transparent in his words and actions. He is consistent in what he says, what he does, and what he asks/demands of others. His promises are bold and he keeps them like no other president has. He continues to make massive, nearly overnight changes, not only in our country, but in the world. It is amazing that he is able to accomplish so much when there are so many snakes in the grass. This second term, he is weeding them out faster and choosing like-minded servants who multiply his effectiveness. No U.S. president has ever faced so much organized resistance and treason than President Trump
He has chosen to use his intellect and every skill he has to do what is right. He has tremendous faith that he can make a difference in this world. He has a confidence and courage such that he doesn’t care what others think, yet a humility to know he has to do it with the help of like minded people. Those people are the “common” people, and he ridicules those who think they are not common. He does not show humility before men, but his actions show humility before God.
He believes people are basically good. He believes that God is real. He believes that healthy people are happy people, and they need to be able to create wealth freely for their labor, and have the freedom to spend their money on what is good for them.
He believes the United States, with its Constitutional Republic, is the best environment in the world to enable and give opportunity for people to be happy and prosperous.
He believes that we can be a light for the world, but we must demand that the rest of the world respect us and our right to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.
He believes the enemy of our country are the stupid, greedy American people who have been selfishly taking advantage of this country; who betrayed the trust and obedience of its people; and who diverted the people’s wealth for their own selfish gain, at the expense of the principles of this country. He’s not going to allow that anymore. He is not afraid to call out our enemies.
He has cultivated and focused the family of MAGA. Identifying those people whose goodness, industriousness, trust, and obedience have been taken advantage of and abused. He has opened our eyes to this abuse, and to the rights of freedom and self determination that have been quietly stolen from us.
He has rekindled the same healthy distrust held by our founders of government and men with too much power. He has recultivated the desire to reclaim our freedoms and rights, and is empowering us with a hope and pathway to reclaim our spiritual and economic freedom.
He wants the US to be a light of hope on the hill for all people. He will negotiate win/win agreements with those nations and countries who respect us; who respect the principles and intent of our Constitution. If you do not respect us, however, we are not going to let you take advantage of our goodness, or share in our wealth at our expense. If you as a nation are treating your people badly, you are going to be treated less favorably by us, until you show that you value your people as much as we value ours. He believes that nations who treat their people well will also be good economic neighbors with us.
He is convincing those who are very wealthy (most of whom truly earned their money), that the best economic soil in which to build wealth is in a constitutional republic, which supports the ability of the common man to earn wealth in proportion to his efforts. The economic engine of the United States is the human spirit freed to enjoy the fruits of honest labor, and that engine has more natural and raw horsepower than any other governed economy.
The Trump Train seems to be remarkably aligned with universal principles of Truth, which reflect the will and design of our Creator, and are the best standard by which we should live. These same principles were what our country’s founders used to declare independence, and framed into the Constitution of this nation.
Our founders believed that a nation should preserve the right and freedom of an individual to seek, understand, and live by God’s principles. They believed that free individuals working together in humility would make a stronger nation than a government which dictates its will on the people. President Trump professes and seeks to lead and restore this nation back to these same principles.
These principles resonate deeply within all human beings, down to our DNA in every cell, in our spirits, and produce fruit that “miraculously” multiplies. Because we follow universal principles, we see the snowballing acceleration of momentum. Lord please bring your power and might in the daily working of this sacred Nation you gave us.

Have been doing that several times a day, and am using Malwarebytes. It is now a challenge, the process of elimation. It’s this site only so something got embedded somewhere, either a while back I clicked on a link someone shared here and that embedded some hidden diversion/hijack code, or site specific as others have similar experiences with this site only, and is the only reason I keep mentioning the times it happens as many minds make quicker work and I am definitely not in the tech-savvy world.

I remain baffled as far as to why the SAVE Act is not proceeding. This should not be a heavy lift. So I try to look at it from a corrupt senator’s viewpoint and the worst that happens is that someone does not get re-elected but couldn’t the party prepare another corrupt candidate to get in by now? But appellee’s counsel argues, excellently, that an amendment requires only a 1/3 + 1 vote to block the special session. But since the special session was proposed to deal with a budget issue, it was not shut down.
Once in that special session, they chose to propose an amendment to the Constitution, which only required a majority vote.

You can call out politicians all day. They are used to it. Call out the staff and you don’t get frozen out of one bill. You get frozen out of every bill, by every office, on both sides, for as long as the cartel decides to remember your name.

The MSM are desperately trying to project a unified face for the Democrat Party, as they are here for the Labour Party, but it’s increasingly difficult when the mask is beginning to disintegrate in their hands. The Left is split between the old tyrants and the new, and the latter have the cultics increasingly on their side because they shamelessly create the fantasy world that is a prerequisite for that bloc’s existence. Trouble is, fantasy worlds only frame a successful political campaign, they rarely comprise its centrepiece.
We’re not even into May and the Left’s compensatory rhetoric, for their abject failure to offer a viable alternative to MAGA, is switching off as many, if not more, voters as it’s retaining. The Virginia referendum’s real significance was drowned out by raucous victory chants, but the result didn’t bode well for the party, and that was with the indirect assistance of the RINO’s. The Mamdani factor is also yet to be fully felt, with New Yorkers increasingly vocal about the realities of the wonders of socialism that they’ve been brainwashed into believing.
Again, I am more optimistic than many about the chances this November but that’s because, in terms of political combat power, Team Trump is constantly ascending, whilst the DS is in an increasing spiral.
Given the run that the DOJ has been on since Blondi out and Blanche in, I am with you that Act Blue may be on deck. Fingers crossed.
THAT is the thing to watch for. RINOs want to be “second place winners.” They hate having to do their jobs and love making excuses about Democrats. You can usually only complain about Democrats when they have power, but they still manage… all you need is a small number of defectors or a John Thune.

I always thought Charles kept Julian Assange safe in Belmarsh Prison as a personal favor to President Trump. Otherwise he would have been eliminated. I think Assange knows who murdered Seth Rich, and getting James Comey indicted and keeping him indicted opens the door to prosecuting these other matters.

ALSO there are still judges who are primarily activists who will break the law themselves and will also refuse to follow the law in their own rulings.
I would not rule out the potential for the matters to land in an activist friendly court.
JB has been bloviating this threat for a while now. Playing to his voter base. Force would be welcomed by an increasing number in that state, not resisted by even more. One has to wonder if this isn’t the case in most blue states — perhaps not Vermont or Massachusetts.
