Hi, Bets. Quick update post-fire. My Sister and her unbelievable friends sifted the debris by shovel and hand hoping to find at least the gold/silver/stones from jewelry, even if melted. Nothing was found except the remains of her 2 much loved cats. TG for that at least.
Shortly after the fire her x-husband, the father of her only child, died suddenly. Her son had left work to care for his Father through some health problems but even the drs didn’t expect this. Her x died intestate so this is another mess.
There is a lot of legal stuff to navigate but my Sister has friends of the finest kind and family and things will get better with time.

I always believed that God was unhappy with Cain because of the choice of offering, namely “cereal” as opposed to Abel’s “choice lamb”. IE it wasn’t good enough. This is not the case.
God was unhappy with Cain because he did not offer the “choicest” or best of his produce, but rather the “left overs” – after he had gathered for himself – in this case flax seed, which is known to deplete the soil – symbolic of his “casual” attitude towards God. Abel on the other hand offered his best and most valuable (a sacrifice), indicating his understanding and respect that ALL “fruits” come from and belong to God, and as such it is only fitting that the best of “yours” is returned.
Abel offered a blood sacrifice, shedding the blood of an innocent animal which foreshadowed Israel’s future sacrificial system…
“For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it for you on the altar to make atonement for your souls, for it is the blood that makes atonement by the life” (Leviticus 17:11 ESV).
…and ultimately and finally, God’s sacrifice of His Son Messiah Jesus on the cross, shedding His precious blood, thereby reconciling the world to Himself (2 Corinthians 5:19) ✝️
Cain’s offering was bloodless, the works of his hands.
Somewhat like tithing on net income vs. gross income.

Biography: Ferdinand Magellan was a Portuguese explorer best known for leading the first expedition to circumnavigate the Earth, although he himself did not complete the journey. Born into a family of minor Portuguese nobility, Magellan became interested in exploration at a young age.
Magellan served the Portuguese crown in various capacities, including military campaigns in India and Africa, but later moved to Spain after a falling out with the Portuguese king. In service to Spain, he proposed an ambitious plan to reach the Spice Islands (now part of Indonesia) by sailing westward, thereby circumventing Portuguese-controlled routes.

COMMENTARY FOR 2 CORINTHIANS 12:9
The apostle’s revelations. (1-6) Which were improved to his spiritual advantage. (7-10) The signs of an apostle were in him, His purpose of making them a visit; but he expresses his fear lest he should have to be severe with some. (11-21)
7-10 The apostle gives an account of the method God took to keep him humble, and to prevent his being lifted up above measure, on account of the visions and revelations he had. We are not told what this thorn in the flesh was, whether some great trouble, or some great temptation. But God often brings this good out of evil, that the reproaches of our enemies help to hide pride from us. If God loves us, he will keep us from being exalted above measure; and spiritual burdens are ordered to cure spiritual pride. This thorn in the flesh is said to be a messenger of Satan which he sent for evil; but God designed it, and overruled it for good. Prayer is a salve for every sore, a remedy for every malady; and when we are afflicted with thorns in the flesh, we should give ourselves to prayer. If an answer be not given to the first prayer, nor to the second, we are to continue praying. Troubles are sent to teach us to pray; and are continued, to teach us to continue instant in prayer. Though God accepts the prayer of faith, yet he does not always give what is asked for: as he sometimes grants in wrath, so he sometimes denies in love. When God does not take away our troubles and temptations, yet, if he gives grace enough for us, we have no reason to complain. Grace signifies the good-will of God towards us, and that is enough to enlighten and enliven us, sufficient to strengthen and comfort in all afflictions and distresses. WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

Oh my sweet sister. I’m not here every day. I can’t be. But you know that I am in pain – and I am – deeply.
I had a God-moment with my tormenter at work this morning. It was jaw-dropping, Christ centered, focused – and it forced her to recognize who He Is – and who I am – in Him.
I have not seen my daughter in three months. After the “God Moment” – I sent my daughter an email – small – an “I love you, I am here.” She responded. On May 8th, she intends to leave the state following after the criminals for a “fresh start” and “I love you, but goodbye”. This is her “independence”.
I replied. I implored. Every one of these demons she’s followed has progressively harmed her… mind, body, and soul.
I took the day after Mother’s Day off – I just can’t be in public.
My friend, Christian mentor, like a Grandmother to Savannah whose known us since Savannah was 2 years old – said to be prepared for them to call me demanding ransom threatening to harm her.
Her cat is dying. We’ve missed her 20th birthday. No one will tell me where she is. I may have to move in October – how will she find me? My thoughts turn to contacting the State Police again to ask them how to be listed as her next of kin – should something – terrible happen.
Something terrible has already happened. It is a year this March, but I found out in May 2025. I have no energy left for futile endeavors. No patience for nonsense. Anger. GRIEF. Anger. GRIEF. Not wanting to give the devil an inch – knowing my daughter’s life is in danger. the devil wanted her. the devil wanted me – and when he couldn’t get me – he went lateral and went after her.
I’m here. I don’t post much. I try to be careful because so many of our dear Treeper brothers and sisters are going through so much. I am still a Watchman on the wall. the devil will do his best, but I won’t stop in faith until my final breathe. Sometimes, I hope it’s soon.
Thank you for your prayers and your steadfastness.
My prayer now – is that God will:
Flatten every tire.
Stall every engine.
Reveal all tyranny.
Confuse and confound their plans.
And that my daughter…
WILL NOT LEAVE THIS STATE!
That she will AWAKEN and realize – that like with all the other predators over this year – these, too, intend her harm.
This is not my daughter. Not my Savannah. Not my saved by God at birth baby. I am her “Mom Mom”. She loves me. She still told me so today – at the same time – she was demanding her goodbyes.
Please – get your kids out of public schools and off all forms of social media. it is the devil and these poor kids’ minds…. it is a crime.

Three hour of driving to Rush was constantly filled with stations fading away and frantic hunts for the next station.
