Did anyone else notice the color assigned to the “Yes” vote was red and the color assigned to the “No”” vote was blue? This was a scam of incredible proportion. And yes I think some voters would see the color red and assume it’s Republican.
Colors notwithstanding, the messaging around the signs was instructive. The Dems message was “stop the MAGA takeover.” The language on republican signs was much more vague and ambiguous.
The bigger issue is the 500k republican voters who stayed home, evidently not caring about becoming the new poster children for “taxation without representation.” On the ground in semi-rural VA, the bungling of the Epstein files and a war of election with Iran driving gas prices toward $5/gal has muted a lot of republican support.

Fewer ballots were cast in the most consequential vote in modern VA history than in our last Gubernatorial election, and that with a terrible candidate. Half a million fewer ballots were cast over this measure than voted for Trump.
And when the demographic breakdown of who stayed home is determined, young men will be the most significant group.

There is an article up on American Thinker right now titled “Demography is Destiny – And the Left isn’t Reproducing” that says “The childbearing gap between liberals and conservatives is absolutely exploding and has now reached 2 to 1 among women 25-35. In 1980, there was hardly any difference.” This appears to be a real phenomenon.
Perhaps that is true among the 25-35 age group. But many liberal women I know have had children later in life 35-45. That said, it wouldn’t significantly counter the “trend” being noted.
I wouldn’t go so far as to say they are one generation from extinction, but the left has become so wack-a-doodle in recent years that I suppose you have to be more wack-a-doodle to buy in at an early age than the prior generation of liberal women.
I will say I have noticed younger women BOTH conservative and liberal, declaring they don’t want children … burden… etc. I think they are getting that on tick toc and the socials.
Since Christian and family oriented women tend to be more conservative, yeah… I suppose that trend is true today.

Did a quick check …. there are about 6.1+ Million “registered” voters in VA.
Only 3 million showed up to vote and cast ballots in some manner. the margin of victory was only about 3%.
The YES Votes are concentrated in the democrat run cities that will serve as the hubs of the pin wheel districts. Having only 49-50% of potential votes and ballots cast made it rather easy to sway the results via BALLOTS cast in the democrat bastions.
Same old story .. a self inflicted wound for the “disenfranchised” … get off your butts to vote.

Authorities have described the Feeding Our Future case as the largest pandemic-era fraud in the nation.
Prosecutors said a network of individuals used shell companies and fraudulent claims to siphon off hundreds of millions of dollars intended to feed low-income children.
In many cases, officials allege, no meals were ever served.
