I’m not sure how legitimate his first election was, but if it was, then it was a testament to the power of the media. They installed him through their all hands on deck movement, it swept up a lot of people – and of course those who tried to present the truth about this foul radical perverted (in every way) with Indonesian citizenship were universally silenced, up to and including murder.
He definitely did not win his second election; many people swept up in his first election became increasingly concerned about his extreme racialism, and how dangerous and damaging it was to the nation. Then the Benghazi cover up.
I was reading here every day, but unfortunately not enough people were attuned to anything beyond the mockingbird media.
Obamacare disaster was also kicking in. That POS’ signature legislation and he couldn’t make its tenets public until after the election.
I agree with most everything the comments have stated. Actually, I have no reason to feel guilty personally concerning slavery. Yes, slavery was a terrible, dark chapter in our history. But I’ve never owned a slave and my ancestors never owned slaves. They didn’t arrive here until after the civil war. I don’t have any problem at all with having a black president but so far the Democrats have tried cramming the most radical, ridiculous and divisive candidates down our throats. And that dog don’t hunt for me.
Also, if you remember with Obama’s first election, he had only been a first-time senator, and not a lot of people knew much about his background.
I first noticed him when he was the keynote speaker at the Democratic Natl Convention in 2004, and was surprised at how impressive he was. He came off as very personable and articulate, with a dose of good natured humility and wit, and was even likeable. And the speech he gave made him seem like a Christian conservative who wanted to bridge the gap between Dems and the GOP, between the left and the right. As if a focus group got together to invent the perfect candidate. It was quite an act.
The weird thing is that as I watched him speak, I had this odd prophetic nudge that said, “Oh my gosh. He is going to run for President next time. And he is going to win.” When I mentioned it to my conservative Christian friends, who listened to Rush, read National Review, and were up on the issues, they poo-pooed it and insisted that it couldn’t happen — that he needed more time to rise through the ranks, that his party would never let him, that he wasn’t experienced enough, etc. Four years later, they were stunned that my predictions were right.
By that time, I didn’t want it to be true, because I’d researched his stands on the issues, and saw that what he said he believed on camera and how he actually voted were two different things. (Like Islam, where it’s theologically OK to lie to the infidels if it advances the cause.) I was hoping that Sarah Palin’s injection of life into the McCain campaign would be enough to overcome the slick talker from Chicago, but McCain’s handlers hung her out to dry, McCain himself was too lame, and the machine and its momentum were too strong.
Once he was elected, I resigned myself to that reality, and as God says, I prayed for those in authority, that it might go well for me. When Obama said in essence, “I know many of you didn’t vote for me, but I want to be your president, too,” I was willing to give him a chance. I thought it was possible that as a Democatic senator representing liberal Chicago, it was natural that he would vote the way he had campaigned and promised. But that now that he was president over an entire nation, maybe he would seek more of the moderate middle ground to unite both sides, as he had implied in his 2004 keynote speech. But no such luck.
On a more positivenote, what is also interesting is that I had the same odd prophetic nudge when Trump started running for President in 2015. Initially, while the escalator ride and speech got my attention, I thought perhaps he was running just to have a platform for his opinions about how America should be run — where his thoughts would carry more weight and get better publicity than if he were just Trump the celebrity or billionaire. But soon, I couldn’t shake the sense that God was in this for the long haul.
When I prayed and asked God about it, I felt like he led me to the verses about Cyrus that sounded so much like Trump that it blew me away. I saw the parallels, but wondered if this was really from God, or just my projections, and asked God to show me some kind of confirmation that it was God speaking to me. Shortly after, I started reading posts with prophetic messages about Trump and Cyrus from people like Lance Wallnau and Jeremiah Johnson. It blew me away to have had that kind of revelation before I had seen or heard it anywhere else — and to see that God was speaking the same prophetic words to others who had track records. And this time, I was glad that my prophetic nudge turned out to be true! I’m grateful to God that we still have President Trump leading us, against all odds, and pray daily for his protection, and for God to guide him and help him accomplish all that he has set out for him to do. God bless him!

However, I had a strong sense that Vance should be his VP pick, and prayed accordingly. And so far, I’m glad he is there. (A definitely upgrade from Pence — and one more reason why having that 4 year distance after 2020 turned out well to not be saddled with MP!) Not sure if that was a truly prophetic nudge, and/or the fact that I liked him as my Ohio senator and felt he had the right stuff… but so far, I could see VP Vance as a good successor to the MAGA throne!
I remember in 2008 watching a side by side comparison of Deval Patrick and Obama giving almost identical speeches–the “Just words” speech–I knew then he was a groomed operative that was unfortunately going to succeed where Deval Patrick had not–and at that moment realizing there was no such thing as a legitimate election

The POTUS, if he follows the Constitution doesn’t need ‘arguments’…..Lawfares ‘interpretation’ shouldn’t hold water.

I have not yet done my 10-Service Station visual survey today … but yesterday while gasoline prices at the pump were wagging down … giving the temporary consumer sugar high before wagging up again … the INFLATION DRIVING cost at the pump for Fuels that move stuff to market (diesel, Marine Fuel and Jet Fuel) were still at high prices and staying there.

One of my favorite on-line journalists is Scott McKay over at “The American Spectator”. Weekly he posts a column called 5-Quick Things that are a commentary on “interesting to say the least” stories of the week and the state of Americana if you wish.
This week he out did himself and I suggest taking a look at his offering for this week … especially “Quick Thing #1”, which covers the latest “Tax the Rich” by the Islamic-Marxist (aka Baath Socialist) Mayor of NY City and Governor of NY. It is an angle I had never seen used to discuss the topic and as Scott points out … the scheme has little to do with Tax the Rich and is more a well thought out plan placing very Rich Islamic Invaders into ownership positions over much of NY City …. making it look like present day London-stan.

When I lived and worked in the British Virgin Islands off and on, it became my first home only because I care about what happens to the place where I live and work. The locals would always cite “I born here!’ when they should be punished for anything against the law. Hence you could not fire them or convict them of extortion, theft and everything else. Corruption runs top down in families with political clout – all relatives included. When the other Caribbean islanders work or have businesses there, they have to turn a blind eye to shenanigans of the ‘I-born-heres” and try to hire off-islanders to mitigate their losses since they have no choice but to write them off. The costs of goods in these businesses, and work permits rise every year for off-islanders who have to pay themselves, and to employers, who pay a certain percentage.
As long as government is corrupt …. fill in the blanks

We keep wondering why people seem to vote (fraud or not) for socialism/NYC, California, Washington, authoritarianism, etc. We wonder why there is even 10-15% in favor of the crap.
99.99999% of human existence has been under authoritarian or local strong man rule. The Arab and middle east cultures more closely resemble the vast majority of human existence than US or what used to be Europe.
Heck, Europe is only “democracy” in the last 150 years. “Democracy” in Rome and Greece was often voting yes or no on a candidate.
I know the vast improvements in science and technology (planes, Wright Bros, cars, pretty much any advance has been individual ingenuity, not government. But people will revert to their comfort zone, and vast numbers of people are comfortable being directed what to do.
Women overwhelmingly will vote for security over freedom. Obviously conservative women are the exception — and the minority.
As will Beta men, which our government has been aggressively trying to produce higher percentages of.
I agree, but another problem is otherwise intelligent people get their news from the legacy media. They’re busy and they’re not used to questioning institutions. But among people I know, I’m starting to see people looking for other sources.
