I always put “quotes & excerpts” in quotation marks; I never do paraphrase him he’s such a good writer;
I do “excerpts” and skip parts of his essays with points of ellipsis …
and then post “another excerpt” from later in the essay. Points of ellipsis at the end means the essay continues, but I’m done quoting.
((If I interject my own thoughts somewhere, I enclose that with double parenthesis, which I should initial ~AG but often forget)).
If I comment at the end after the final close-quote, I often don’t use parentheses… its painfully obvious that a different voice is writing after his wonderfully written quotes.

Homeowners across America are fed up. This is the largest coordinated tax relief movement since California’s Proposition 13 in 1978. Taxpayers are rising up because property taxes are supposed to fund local service, but when they force people to sell their homes just to pay the bill, the system is broken.
Real relief is coming. Lower taxes mean more freedom, better housing affordability, and stronger communities.

According to sources familiar with the details of the talks between Iran and the United States – Behind the scenes, the talks are focused almost entirely on one issue: money.
According to those sources, the Iranians are demanding the immediate release of frozen funds totaling more than 7 billion dollars, held in Qatar and additional countries.
In addition, they are seeking permission to sell oil without sanctions, receive economic compensation, and secure a rapid flow of cash. At the same time, the Strait of Hormuz has become Iran’s central bargaining chip.
They are demanding control and revenue from transit through it. The severe economic distress is also the reason why very senior financial officials are involved in the talks – including the Governor of Iran’s Central Bank or equivalent high level figures.
On the American side, a tough line is being taken with significant pressure applied, but sources say the final outcome is still unclear and ultimately depends on President Trump’s decision.
Meanwhile, Gulf states are in constant contact with the United States and are applying heavy pressure not to agree to Iranian demands – especially regarding Hormuz and sanctions relief.
