He is back to safety!!! We are so excited! You have no idea how much we prayed for it.
The American Airman. It was a crazy Special Forces opperation. I was seeing videos coming of many Iranians arrived at hospitals. The US secured a perimeter around the Airman and the Iranian IRGC were trying to get the Airman and got hit hard.
Yesterday I looked for the appropriate prayer to ask God to please get the American Navigator/Pilot back home and safe. I found one that is traditional and prayed that it will be applied for him. The prayer is for Israel and I wished him to be included in the Israel scope of this prayer. It’s a prayer for people in captivity or in trouble. To bring them back to safety. I posted it below as a song.
I was going to post it yesterday but somehow didn’t.
Then also my wife came in a rush from outside making sure to light the Shabbat (Saturday) candles on time,
she said that she came specially because she wants to pray for the American Airman. She doesn’t alway light the candles but she was determined to do it for him so she could pray for his return.
Below is the prayer for saving people in trouble that I wished for him. Following below is the traditional prayer that someone who God saved must say. Saved from trouble, illness and near death. I am posting it and praying it for the Airman.

Thanks for this, David. Your access to information is better than what we are seeing here in the ‘States. “. . .The US secured a perimeter around the Airman . . .” My guess is that the perimeter was especially well armed. Its
purpose was not only to protect our guy . . . it was also an invitation to the IRGC to try their hand against Americans. They lost.
One of my sources said that he was rescued and he is already getting medical treatment at 2:47 PM East Time.
I couldn’t verify it so I didn’t post it. It is a telegram channel. He also posted two US helicopters on rescue mission and locals shooting at them, light fire.
Earlier some of the Telegram channels showed a flood of people coming to donate blood for Iranians who got attacked by the US rescue soldiers or from the air. Apparently many Iranians got messed up. They thought they can hunt the American and got hunted.
I am hearing now that he is a Colonel. That is very high. He did really well. Moved away from the wreckage, went to a high location, followed protocol. I am hearing that hundreds of US soldiers took part in the rescue.
Two airplanes that took them to destination went not operational while in Iran. They blew them up on the way out.
I didn;t fact check what I am saying here. This is all raw now at your 1:20 AM East Us time.
I see that the Regime offered a large bounty on the Airman. I see videos of long rows of cars driving to get the Airman. Apparently the US Air-force secured the perimeter around him. I saw images of many hundreds or thousands of locals around the hospital looking for their family members who thought it was a good idea to try and hunt the Airman. There are tens of locals dead if not hundreds.
I only use our main stream media if I want to verify something that looks questionable. But the media is way behind the Telegram channels that I use. But on Telegram some is fake, I have to side check and verify from more than one source.
One of my Telegram channels is very reliable and if it’s there then it’s true. I use it a lot to verify things. It’s in Hebrew, otherwise I would have shared.
Note: The information that I had that he was already rescued at 2:47 PM was likely false. I didn’t report it. Now I am hearing that the CIA intentionally spread false information that “he was rescued”, before he was rescued. They wanted to create confusion while the Special Forces were operating.

My fellow Americans, over the past several hours, the United States Military pulled off one of the most daring Search and Rescue Operations in U.S. History, for one of our incredible Crew Member Officers, who also happens to be a highly respected Colonel, and who I am thrilled to let you know is now SAFE and SOUND!
This brave Warrior was behind enemy lines in the treacherous mountains of Iran, being hunted down by our enemies, who were getting closer and closer by the hour, but was never truly alone because his Commander in Chief, Secretary of War, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and fellow Warfighters were monitoring his location 24 hours a day, and diligently planning for his rescue.
At my direction, the U.S. Military sent dozens of aircraft, armed with the most lethal weapons in the World, to retrieve him. He sustained injuries, but he will be just fine.
This miraculous Search and Rescue Operation comes in addition to a successful rescue of another brave Pilot, yesterday, which we did not confirm, because
we did not want to jeopardize our second rescue operation.
This is the first time in military memory that two U.S. Pilots have been rescued, separately, deep in Enemy Territory.
WE WILL NEVER LEAVE AN AMERICAN WARFIGHTER BEHIND!
The fact that we were able to pull off both of these operations, without a SINGLE American killed, or even wounded, just proves once again, that we have achieved overwhelming Air Dominance and Superiority over the Iranian skies.

We truly have the best, most professional, and lethal Military in the History of the World.

We have rescued the seriously wounded, and really brave, F-15 Crew Member/Officer, from deep inside the mountains of Iran.
The Iranian Military was looking hard,
in big numbers,
and getting close.
He is a highly respected Colonel.
This type of raid is seldom attempted because of the danger to “man and equipment.”
It just doesn’t happen!
The second raid came after the first one, where we rescued the pilot
in broad daylight,
also unusual,
spending seven hours over Iran.
An AMAZING show of bravery and talent by all!

(1880-1964)
American US Army General in World War II (Pacific Theater; Philippines) and Korea, dies at 84
Biography: Born into a military family Douglas MacArthur graduated from Westpoint in 1903. During World War I he was a Colonel in the 42nd ‘Rainbow Division’ and eventually its commander. During this period he was awarded 7 silver stars and the Distinguished Service Medal.
After a period as Superintendent at Westpoint where he instituted new reforms, MacArthur left in 1922 to take up a command in Manilla. In 1930 he was named the army’s Chief of Staff but his reputation took a hit when he lead troops against the ‘bonus army’ of vets in Washington in 1932.
MacArthur was back in the Philippines when WWII broke out and many of hi forces were destroyed in attacks on the Philippines the day after Pearl harbour. MacArthur was forced to retreat to the Bataan peninsula and then Australia, vowing to one day return. He became a major figure in the war in the Pacific fighting his way through New Guinea. By October 1944 he returned to the island of Leyte, before liberating the rest of the Philippines. In September 1945 he received the Japanese surrender aboard the USS Missouri.
After the war as Supreme Commander of the Allied Powers in Japan he oversaw the country’s reconstruction. He successfully steered it towards democracy overseeing improvements in land ownership and human rights that were to have a lasting effect. His last command was as Commander of a United Nations force in the Korean War but he was relived of his command in 1951 after disagreements in strategy and returned to the US.

American reclusive billionaire, filmmaker and aviator, dies at 72
Biography: Howard Hughes is known for his eccentricities as much as for his achievements, which were many. Hughes was a Hollywood filmmaker, an aviator, real estate mogul and philanthropist.
Hughes’ enormous wealth originated from his father’s invention of a drill bit used in oil drilling. Arriving in Hollywood in 1926 he funded and produced such films as Hell’s Angels (1927), Scarface (1934) and The Outlaws (1943), which made a star out of Jane Russell. Hughes even designed a bra for Russell to wear in the film.
In 1932 he entered the aviation industry founding Hughes Aircraft Company. As a pilot, Hughes personally set a number of flight records. Hughes also bought a controlling interest in the airline TWA.
Hughes famously built an eight engine wooden flying boat, nicknamed the “Spruce Goose” and piloted it on its only voyage in 1947.
During the 1950s Hughes was a major figure in the development of Las Vegas, buying land and lessening its association with the Mafia.
From this period Hughes became increasing reclusive moving around the world to locations that offered him the seclusion he craved. By the time he died in 1976 Hughes appeared to be showing signs of mental illness. He was thin through an extreme diet, addicted to pain killers and with an obsessive-compulsive disorder, that led to him reputedly keeping his urine in jars.

The attack on the Philippines was only 10 hrs after the attack began on Pearl Harbor. It was scheduled for earlier, but the airports in Taiwan were fogged in. That international date line always messes me up because that attack happened on the 8th. They landed troops two days later.
As an aside, we always conducted Naval War Games with Japan attacking the Philippines and the fleet coming to the rescue. (Japanese wargames did the same.) Our army planned to hole up in Bataan awaiting rescue/reinforcements. MacArthur changed those plans. He wanted to fight them on the beaches and repositioned supplies to support that defense. When the Philippine forces melted away, there was no choice but to fall back to Bataan. But now without most of the supplies and no navy to come and rescue them.
I have never heard why MacArthur didn’t show up that morning. After hearing about Pearl, the general in charge of his airforce ordered an attack on the japs in Taiwan, but kept the bombers circling awaiting MacArthur’s approval. Eventually they had to land and refuel. That is when they were caught on the ground. His staff assured Washington that the planes were in the air. Where was MacArthur?
Hitler basically pulled a MacArthur on D-Day. But we now know Hitler was pumped with drugs to sleep and to wake up. And nobody dared disturb him.
Also, Roosevelt wanted to leave MacArthur in the Philippines and MacArthur wanted to stay too. But Churchill and Roosevelt connived to focus all resources on defeating Hitler. Australia had 4 divisions. Three fighting in North Africa and the fourth defending the empire in other parts of the far east. (It was surrendered as part of the surrender of Singapore.) This conniving left Australia undefended. And they could get no promises from either Churchill or Roosevelt for help in their defense. So they demanded MacArthur to lead the defense. Thus Roosevelt ordered MacArthur to leave the Philippines and gave him charge of half the Pacific war.
Not that no resources were sent to the Pacific to fight the Japs, but American forces in Europe, and British and Soviet Lend Lease were the first, second and third priorities before fighting Japan. The one thing that was not restricted was the fleet, but that would still take time to amass.
I have never heard a reason for this dereliction. But also never heard why this dereliction was not punished like the dereliction in Pearl. We did a major investigation of the dereliction in Pearl, but I haven’t heard of a similar investigation of the dereliction in the Philippines. Nor is their a retelling of MacArthur’s winning arguments to Roosevelt for invading the Philippines instead of the Navy’s plan to invade Okinawa.
(Personally I think the Navy plan was almost as bad as Monty’s plan for Arnhem. Nothing like invading Taiwan to force an engagement with the Japanese forces in China. Except for drawing out the remaining Japanese Navy for destruction, I am not sure that reconquering the Philippines contributed to the wars end. The Philippines was better situated to block Japan’s supplies than Taiwan was, but Okinawa was even better placed and submarine warfare had practically done that by that time.)
For the record, not only did Japan have the fleet that attacked Pearl, they had an invasion fleet heading south. And we were aware of the invasion fleet. It was not radio silent and we spotted it by air. We watched it assemble. We figured out most of its targets. British Malaya was the first invasion. The Philippines was the second. And a very rapid blitz of invasions followed.
So, while we were ignorant about what was to happen at Pearl, we knew Japan was going to war in the Far East. But we didn’t have the timing. The two carriers were on secret trips to reinforce Wake and Midway. The Enterprise was returning from Wake, but the Lexington never made it to Midway, it was recalled after the attack. Yet the one place we always assumed they would attack was left defenseless, it’s commander practically AWOL. And this was not ever explained. But I have no idea how any war with Japan could achieve Roosevelt’s need to join the war against Hitler. Hitler declared war on a whim. And it was the only time he declared war. You can’t plan on a whim, nor on going against his usual war starting practices.
PS. I did not know that the Japanese ran a radio deception campaign to make us think the carriers were in port. Even took the normal radio operators off the ships so that the deception broadcasts could be recognized as coming from the hands of those operators.

I am pretty sure that allowing Nimitz to invade Formosa instead of MacArthur’s return to the Philippines would have been such an affront to the Army that even FDR, a former assistant Sec. Navy, was not willing to hazard.
There was interservice rivalry through out the war though it was nothing like it was between the Japanese Army and IJN.
Admiral King had balked at providing all the USN support for D-Day Normandy that Ike’s Naval commanders requested. He even denied them the number of heavy duty tug boats requested for that operation.
His excuse was that during the planning the Royal Navy had promised that they could provide the necessary naval assets to cover and support the landing as long as the US provided the necessary LSTs and landing ships and craft. But that promise by the Royal Navy was made before Ike and Monty had expanded the size of the initial landings in Normandy and before Marshall had developed his plan to have the invasions of Normandy and Southern France coincide.
In the end Ike was forced to draw what he could from the Mediterranean there by dooming Marshals preferred plan for the Invasion of Southern France to coincide with the invasion of Normandy and still was far short of optimum in the numbers of heavy duty tugs, mine sweepers, and LSTs.
It was as if FDR had forgotten the agreed upon Europe first strategy.
FDR had first broken his promise to Marshall that he would be the Supreme Commander of the invasion of France. Then did not step in to help Marshall’s plans concerning the conduct of the invasion of France to be realized so that the Navy could continue with it’s Central Pacific campaign after securing the Solomon Islands and isolating New Britain.
And then there was MacArthur who had successfully defended Australia and Port Moresby and then slogged through the tough but much less glamorous jungle fighting in New Guinea there by tying down Japanese Army troops that could have been used reinforce Guadalcanal and other forces in the Solomon’s who would in effect be sidelined until the invasion of the Japanese home islands proper.
I think that FDRs decision was more about keeping peace between the services and appeasing Marshall than any arguments MacArthur or Nimitz made at their famous meeting at Pearl July 1944.

I had a great uncle that died somewhere off of New Guinea, Dec 2 1942, a copilot of a B17. They were unsuccessfully trying to stop a reinforcement convoy to Buna.
Since Australia did not have its army, they had a policy to hold territory until the japs attacked, but write off the troops and lands that were attacked. MacArthur changed that. Australia would defend New Guinea.
As the Japanese were sweeping away all opponents, they had a debate about Australia. Navy wanted to invade. Army refused the 10 divisions they estimated it would take. So the Navy came up with a plan to isolate Australia. Operation FS. They would take Port Moresby, put bases on the far end of the Solomons, and take Fiji, New Caledonia and the Samoas. Thus forming a cordon that would cut off Australia’s main supply routes. (Nothing about cutting off supplies from the South.)
Meanwhile, one of the first things we did was scout out air bases and put bases in some of those last three as part of a supply line to Australia.
In April we bombed Tokyo, giving the impetus to expand the defensive perimeter at Midway.
In May, we stopped the Port Moresby invasion and harassed the sea plane base being set up near Guadalcanal. Two Japanese Carriers were out of action for Midway and a light carrier was sunk. One American Carrier was sunk and the Pearl repair facilities helped repair the other in time for Midway. (If the facilities at Pearl had been taken out, Japan could have won at Midway and we wouldn’t have been able to fight at Guadalcanal.)
After Midway, Japan still had naval superiority but not dominance, and they dropped the Fuji, New Caledonia, and Somoa part of FS, but in July they tried land invasion of New Guinea near Buna and Gona still intending to take Port Moresby. They also started the airbase in Guadalcanal.
We took the unfinished Guadalcanal airbase in August.
They crossed the mountains and got close to Port Moresby, but were having difficulty supplying both groups. So they ordered the main force to pull back and create defenses so that they could focus on winning Guadalcanal.
The Australians had built up forces to defend and then they pushed the screening forces back north across the mountains to the defense area. Meanwhile, a couple US units joined them and we began attacking in Mid November. Just a little after our Navy finally won near Guadalcanal. The marines on Guadalcanal were replaced in December.
We finally won in Buna and Gona in January and the Japanese pulled out of Guadalcanal in Feb. They made the rest of New Guinea and the Solomons their first defense Zone. And we invaded and bypassed as needed for the next two years. The defense zone kept getting pulled back.
We started the war with 7 carriers and lost 4 in 1942. The Japanese started the war with 10 carriers and lost 6 in 1942.
We started getting new carriers in January 1943. Eventually, we had a big enough Navy to invade Tarawa, which was now out of the updated defense zone. BTW, Yamamoto predicted both that they could run wild for 6 months and that by two years he could make no promises. Tarawa was Nov 1943. Both predictions were spot on.
By the time we invaded the Marianas, which was in the defense zone, our fleet had 15 carriers. The Japanese had built a couple and converted a few more and sent 9 carriers out. They lost 3. The Japanese lost their last 4 carriers when they used them as a decoy in their attempt to defend the Philippines. At Okinawa we had almost 40 carriers.
Until the war, all our navy buildup plans were public. Japan fully knew what steam roller they would be facing. Yet they had a public we will knock them out and make them quit, and a private we will make beating us so costly they will quit, dual plan for winning. And the latter kept getting worse. Even suicide minisubs were a part of the initial attack. But suicide became their final hope.
I have a hard time wrapping my mind around the entire suicidal endeavor.
But I think I understand why they would win a fight, declare victory and sail away letting us stick around to fight another day. Pearl, Savo Island, etc. They could not risk attritional losses. But that is what they fought at Guadalcanal. A war of attrition. At sea, in the air, and on the ground.
Guadalcanal hat to be taken to secure the supply line to Australia. There was no argument about the diversion of supplies and shipping for Watchtower even though they were carrying out Torch on the other side of the world at the same time.
And it was naturally best to use excess shipping and Army personnel in the Pacific while the US was learning the ropes with operations Husky and then Avalanche and the various other amphibious operations during the Italian campaign.
Logistically because of the much greater distances involved operations in the Pacific theater were much more a logistical nightmare than anything in the west. It took a total of 76,000 men to keep an Army Division of 17,000 operating in the Central Pacific. It only took 60,000 to keep the same size Division operating in the ETO.
And that does not include the shipping an ports needed to move and sustain those troops.
Over 100,000 US Army troops spent WW II serving as sailors, all in an effort to keep Army troops in the Pacific supplied because the US Navy simply could not do it alone.
But once the invasion of France was decided on based on the stated Europe first policy, it should have had priority of all shipping the Supreme Commander deemed necessary to carry out the invasions and operations as planned and that simply did not happen.

COMMENTARY FOR JOHN 11:25
The sickness of Lazarus. (1-6) Christ returns to Judea. (7-10) The death of Lazarus. (11-16) Christ arrives at Bethany. (17-32) He raises Lazarus. (33-46) The Pharisees consult against Jesus. (47-53) The Jews seek for him. (54-57)
17-32 Here was a house where the fear of God was, and on which his blessing rested; yet it was made a house of mourning. Grace will keep sorrow from the heart, but not from the house. When God, by his grace and providence, is coming towards us in ways of mercy and comfort, we should, like Martha, go forth by faith, hope, and prayer, to meet him. When Martha went to meet Jesus, Mary sat still in the house; this temper formerly had been an advantage to her, when it put her at Christ’s feet to hear his word; but in the day of affliction, the same temper disposed her to melancholy. It is our wisdom to watch against the temptations, and to make use of the advantages of our natural tempers. When we know not what in particular to ask or expect, let us refer ourselves to God; let him do as seemeth him good. To enlarge Martha’s expectations, our Lord declared himself to be the Resurrection and the Life. In every sense he is the Resurrection; the source, the substance, the first-fruits, the cause of it. The redeemed soul lives after death in happiness; and after the resurrection, both body and soul are kept from all evil for ever. When we have read or heard the word of Christ, about the great things of the other world, we should put it to ourselves, Do we believe this truth? The crosses and comforts of this present time would not make such a deep impression upon us as they do, if we believed the things of eternity as we ought. When Christ our Master comes, he calls for us. He comes in his word and ordinances, and calls us to them, calls us by them, calls us to himself. Those who, in a day of peace, set themselves at Christ’s feet to be taught by him, may with comfort, in a day of trouble, cast themselves at his feet, to find favour with him.

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.
