Iran has issued its largest denominated currency in history, $10 million Rial, so what does this mean? Anyone who’s ever studied history will understand that Iran is in a financial collapse and we are there to pick up the pieces. Trump threatening to blow everything up is great for tv but in reality, it will destroy the global economy. If oil is wiped out, whether we use 3-5%, other countries products will rise exponentially and that will be passed on to the rest of the world.
So, it’s a good thing that Iran is in financial disarray, they’ll take themselves out without any help.
<Iran has issued its largest denominated currency in history, $10 million Rial…>
Unfortunately, a candy bar cost 20 million 🙂
Yes it does, considering 10M = 7USD
A Reece’s, at the gas station…costs $2.59 in American dollars…
Is that a bargain then? Asking for a friend….
lol, I don’t no what a candy bar costs in Iran or if they even eat candy bars but I do know that $2.59 is ludicrous in our own country.
I remember when a single Reece’s cost 5 cents on Long Island….the double pack cost 10 cents there.
Am guessing since its an American product, if they get it at all its via the black market?
Again, how are those average Iranians, surviving? Jobs were an issue, as were wages and inflation…
All I know is that I want My President to come back home and get our country started on this “Golden Age” and finish what he started here! This infighting between the Dems and Repubs, is nothing but media grabbers. F both parties and do what the American people want and voted for, PERIOD!
Then, they can build statues of PDJT!!
Re “All I know is that I want My President to come back home and get our country started on this ‘Golden Age’ and finish what he started here!”
If you’re sincere about wanting our illustrious president to finish what he started here at home, quit your bitching about what he’s doing out of country because everything he’s doing there must be done before he can finish here at home and make it permanent!
Where is the $ 2000 that 47 promised? Asking for citizens on social security. Gracias Dios 🙏
This is the golden age that he’s talking about. We won’t see it. We are the bottom feeders that pay them. Once you figure that out then the rest will make sense.
Just made me remember first trip to Trinidad, the sidewalks and parking lots had TT pennies everywhere.
I asked my driver about it and she laughed, said go ahead and pick them up, the exchange rate is six TT to one USD.
During the Weimar Republic in the 1920’s people were burning cash just to stay warm thanks to Germany’s mismanagement of funds which caused hyperinflation. Iran has virtually done the same thing. This is what happens when people vote in politicians that have absolutely no experience in economics, especially global economics.
Politicians always make promises they can’t keep but somehow, the people always seem to give them another chance and… another chance. Why? Because they’ve mastered the art of BS! – It’s because of this person or this thing as to why I can’t get it done right now.
In the Iranian peoples defense, they weren’t BS’d they were threatened into submission for the last 47 years. Hangings in the public square via crane mast has its desirable effects. Know what I mean.
I do but in defense of me, I don’t live there so it would be pure speculation on my part. I’m not saying it didn’t happen, most likely did, but I don’t have any friends who’ve ever contacted me from Iran. Just being honest.
I used to be regularly stopped by Iranian exiles, on my way to work, and shown hundreds of photos of crane hangings, my barber used to be an Iranian, I’ve known quite a few in my time, trust me, the stories of sadistic cruelty are true.
The nature of the regime was also revealed at the start of this year with thousands being killed for daring to demonstrate against it. Once they are removed the Middle East will have removed the last throwback to the Cold-War, that’s existed for far too long on a mixture of globalist ambitions, liberal ignorance and progressive naivety.
Thank you for that! Now I can honestly say I know.
Go to Altoona, PA to the Boyer Mallo Cup factory. You can get a box of reject Mallo Cups at a very reasonable price. They have small pin holes, etc., and they are packaged in boxes and sold at a discount.
That’s funny.
Thanks
Back when Reese’s was a nickel, I think minimum wage was $2.00/hour.
I remember $1.35.
I worked my way through the university via $1.30 an hour at Richman Brothers by selling Men’s Clothing at 20 hours a week!
Paid for tuition and bought records of Bruckner, Mahler, Wagner, and many other great composers,* as well as seeing a movie now and then.
We thought it was awful when gasoline went from 25 ¢ to 45 ¢ and then to 65 ¢ !!!
As a percentage increase, it was obviously awful, and that $1.30 per hour only crept up to $1.40.
* Some were imports from West Germany, so a little more expensive than the pop stuff! 🙂
Fellow Lawn Guylander 😉
As a young boy, I loved those peanut butter cups! My grandfather would hold a quarter in front of me and tell me to put it in my piggy bank. I would nod yes and I already had it spent on 5 peanut butter cups, LOL
I’m old enough to remember when candy bars were a nickel.
I’m old enough to remember when candy bars were made out of an edible food rather than synthesized chemical by-products.
You said it! Reese cups tasted much better when I was a kid over 50 years ago than they do now.
Your tasters likely were more accurate fifty years ago as well! (Ask me how I know. heh)
My parents assured me that candy bars cost 3¢ and were the size of brick bats back in the forties. I think they were pulling my leg, though!😂
I wouldn’t buy any KitKat bars for awhile.

I hear you can get KitKats on the black market on the cheap…
<Unfortunately, a candy bar costs 20 million>
That comment makes me “Snicker”, but just connect the “Dots”: If the US invades Kharg Island, then 20 million could be a “Rial” deal!
Sorry, but the Iran is not the anchor of the “global economy.” It isn’t going to mean shit if Iran finishes collapsing financially anymore than Zimbabwe did. Iran is an outlier, nothing more.
I appreciate your comment but I never said Iran was the “Anchor” of the Global Economy, what I expressed is economically quite simple. If the oil is destroyed and the countries, not ours, who depend on that oil, about 20%, then the reverberations felt around the globe will be immense. Shipping costs will rise causing interest rates to rise as the costs to goods will most certainly go up. And all of us will feel it! Globally!!
As I type this, Brent Crude Oil is trading at 108.52.
Prior to this issuance, the largest banknote in circulation was the five million rial note, which the Central Bank introduced earlier in February. According to official figures cited by Financial Times, Iran’s annual inflation rate reached 47.5% in February, before the escalation of regional conflict.
Is everything starting to make sense now why we went in when we did?
For Iran, keeping 90+ million people calm is more important than telling them their country is going to collapse. Europe has shown this so beautifully, 😂😂😂

The IRGC are keeping them “calm” all right ….mass, indiscriminate murder seems to shut people up and shut them down pretty effectively.
I suspect the remaining Persian people already know that Iran’s economy is one breath away from collapsing. I doubt they need to be told.
That’s why said before, the people were beginning to rise up before this “War” happened, it wasn’t until their religious leader was taken out. Rallying around the flag has always been a game changer and has a strange effect on people. All people!
Secretary Bessent, at the last Cabinet meeting before the press, described the 2-track nature of the US strategy toward Iran.
One track is economic, and he described how a year ago, that track was initiated. He pointed to the disarray of Iran’s economy, which brought its people to the streets (with tragic consequences). The other track, obviously, is military.
Beyond the basics, many aspects of economics are hard for me to grasp, so no attempt on my part to describe Sec Bessent’s remarks in any detail.
Point is, I understood him to say the economic facet of this operation has been in motion for a year. (Thus isn’t it reasonable to believe the whole operation has been in planning for at least a year?)
I can’t say for certain if Bessent said this a year ago or not but I don’t believe he did, however, it really doesn’t matter. What matters, is they absolutely know now especially prior to going in. If there’s one thing I understand it’s this – every country needs a hero and the smart people who understand this, will most definitely take advantage of it. It’s what creates and gives confidence to their citizens.
Walt Disney understood this full well!
Whenever a corporation, as an example, strays away from the “Hero” narrative, that corporations loses its credibility and I’m sure you can think of many corporations who’ve done this.
Confidence, is the #1 key to anything because without that, an Empire falls, a corporation falls, right on down to individuals.
So yes, Iran is in serious economic crises which will make negotiations go that much easier. It’s the comments the President Trump posts that have the markets extremely tense. But knowing what destroying the oil refiners or Kharg Island would do to the Global economy, would you do it? I can’t and don’t want to believe our President would do it and I don’t believe he will.
I should add here, it doesn’t really matter what I believe, what matters, is what Iran’s new leaders believe.
I find things that are so perfectly convenient as in “History has a funny way of teaching us the future” and “War has a funny way of distracting the masses from the real issues.”
Every country throughout history has convinced its citizens that it’s the other guy’s fault until the leaders can escape and their citizens are left dealing with the financial crises.
Caught the end of briefing. Karoline can hold her own very well.
Agree. Karoline is doing a great job.
Where are all the RECESS APPOINTMENTS Trump can make while Thune decided to leave?
The GOPe would never recess. They had a 5 second session today.
So, they’re working Overtime now?%!
Yep. Read about that happening this morning. Senate gavelled into session for just a moment and then gavelled back out of session, with no business being conducted. Only one or two Senators present. Since Thune controls the gavel, this was his doing. Him and the rest of the RINOs, and at this point I am really not sure that pretty much all of the Republicans in the Senate are not RINOs. This will happen every single day until they all get back from their precious Easter vacations. The sole purpose is to prevent PT for making any recess appointments.
We can expect the Democrats to do that, but Republican Senators doing that to a Republican President? I don’t recall them doing that to any previous President. Just to President Trump.
That’s because PT is trying to end their way of life, easy money. All the other Presidents were in on it that’s why you can’t remember them doing it to any previous President.
Two or three Senators, a quorum does not make.
Triple bingo! Takes 5 to create a quorum in parliamentary procedures
I guess he’s chosen civil war!
Hopefully it doesn’t come to that. But the only possible alternative that I can think of to fix the Senate is a Constitutional Convention. But just getting one convened, not to mention getting the right result from it, would be the long shot of all long shots. So all those Senators, home enjoying their vacations, are fairly justified in not giving a darn. They, like so many others home and abroad, are just waiting for President Trump to leave office and then they expect to just get on with business as usual. The MAGA movement needs to prove them wrong.
Oh, come on now, actually it was a whopping 32 seconds long!
Remember in President Trumps first term how the majority of the senate blocked the Recess appointments? That’s why! Sundance can repost that if he wants. I believe I was 99 to 1
The beautiful young woman, 18 year old Sheridan Gorman, who was killed by an illegal “alien”, a Chicago Democrat said “she was at the wrong place at the wrong time”. Let that sink in, that American citizens are UNIMPORTANT to DEMONrats, but if it was an illegal alien, they are treated like “pure gold”.
As for the present stories of “hyperinflation,” which certainly match if not exceed the German experience, I simply pray for the “real people in Iran” who have suffered under this horror for 47(!) years.
“Hyperinflation?” In one of the most oil-soaked nations on this planet?!
This is not “what Iran, of all nations, used to be.” Nor is it what it now deserves. It was once a “shining star.”
(prayer) It doesn’t matter to me what God/god they choose to serve: may God have mercy on them. May He break the archer’s bow. May He bring final Justice to His children, even if they do not acknowledge His name, and set them Free.
Wouldn’t it be great if Karoline would extend her bloodline? Can’t get any better representation of American pride.
Liberals and demon-o-rats are in complete denial of reality, because the truth is against them.
By extension, the liberals are at war against the truth, for example; the whole transgender idea.
As SD likes to truthfully say, “The Truth has no agenda”. The transgender idea is demonic.
