The House of Representatives late Friday night passed a short-term DHS funding bill.
The House voted 213-203 to fully fund the Department of Homeland Security for 8 weeks.
Three Democrats joined the Republicans and voted to fund the DHS.
The short-term bill is likely dead on arrival in the Senate.
Senators have already left DC for a two-week Easter vacation.
Instead of fighting for the full funding, Thune and the Senate GOP folded in the dead of night, when no one was watching.
Yet the Senate remains open so President Trump can’t make a recess appointment! Enemies foreign and domestic! There are domestic enemies in the Senate!!! They hate President Trump, MAGA and America Firsters!!!

I agree. But I’m always astounded how pathetic the midterm election turnout has always been. It’s like people are seriously ignorant of how much power they have if they’d simply show up to vote in large numbers. Nobody can stay home. Should be 80% turnout at minimum. (!!!!!)
I hate when they ride on Trumps coattails then want to pass big business lobbying laws against the average worker. My legislator was given our county, reliably Republican but not once has he done anything remotely including us, not one mention other than a town hall, no funding and no recognition. It’s not that I want to stay home but if he refuses to represent us, cause he thinks we’re dumb, well the rest of the sheep can go vote. Don’t think I haven’t written to him on a number of occasions, no response until they sent it up the ranks for being a pest and for that one response of derision, telling me I don’t matter!

Well, in my state (Michigan) the Republican candidate for Senate in November will likely be RINO Mike Rogers who has PDJT’s endorsement for the primary (just like 2024 when he ran against and lost to Slotkin)… even though there will actual MAGA candidates running. I definitely won’t vote D but I’m not voting for Mike f’ing Rogers under any circumstances. Besides being a RINO he’s a real POS (I worked with his wife (at the time) when he was a congressman and heard all kinds of Mike Rogers stories).

Here is the game plan that the forces against Trump will be using for the foreseeable future.
They will attempt to get you to make the perfect the enemy of the good.
Be it the freedom clowns and spending, the immigration hawks with H1B visas, the peace doves with timing, the cultural warriors with total bans of DEI/CRT, the neocons with war fighting, or the swamp dwellers with draining the swamp.
All of them will attempt to get you to believe on whatever issue is the issue of the day that it doesn’t go far enough or do enough. They will try to make you think that some sub issue of that issue is more important and should be handled first, that since the issue hasn’t been handled yet it won’t be, that we can’t do more than one thing, that so and so is a plant to stop the draining of the swamp, or that because it wasn’t 100% Trump lied. On every single issue, one or more groups will attempt this strategy.
You can’t allow them that power over you. If Trump secures the border and deports 2 million, don’t allow them to reduce that good by them saying well he didn’t deport 2.5 million, so he failed or lied.
You can’t allow them to use the perfect to void out the good in the coming months.
They will try. They already have with the CR and the H1b visa debates. It works, that is why they use it. You have to keep it in the front of your head on everything about to occur that half a loaf or hopefully in most cases 7/8ths a loaf is better than no loaf.
Do not allow them to gaslight you into thinking the good is the enemy of the perfect.
In the real world, most things are never perfect, but if we try real hard, we can get plenty of good accomplished in the coming 4 years.
The purpose and goals of President Trump are plainly visible by his actions and consistent: He is for the benefit first of the common PEOPLE of this country, then of the PEOPLE in the rest of the world. It is validating, even to our battered conservative skepticism.
The methods of his leadership are amazing. I still don’t get HOW he does it, or HOW he is able to get so much momentum going, but every day the momentum is growing. Everyone and every organization has their eyes opened every day — just by watching him. Even those who hate him, are biased against him, and want to see him gone — cannot ignore him. He lives rent free in their head, and they come around to seeing the universal principles by which he is operating. He hammers actions based on truth from one direction, then another, and they cannot mount an organized opposition against him.
President Trump is transparent in his words and actions. He is consistent in what he says, what he does, and what he asks/demands of others. His promises are bold and he keeps them like no other president has. He is making massive, nearly overnight changes, not only in our country, but in the world. It is amazing that he is able to accomplish so much when there are so many snakes in the grass. This term, he is weeding them out faster. No U.S. president has ever faced so much organized resistance and treason than President Trump
He has chosen to use his intellect and every skill he has to do what is right. He has tremendous faith that he can make a difference in this world. He has a confidence and courage such that he doesn’t care what others think, yet a humility to know he has to do it with the help of like minded people. Those people are the “common” people, and he ridicules those who think they are not common.
He believes people are basically good. He believes that God is real. He believes that healthy people are happy people, and they need to be able to create wealth freely for their labor, and have the freedom to spend their money on what is good for them.
He believes the United States, with its Constitutional Republic, is the best environment in the world to enable and give opportunity for people to be happy and prosperous.
He believes that we can be a light for the world, but we must demand that the rest of the world respect us and our right to life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of happiness.
He believes the enemy of our country are the stupid, greedy American people who have been selfishly taking advantage of this country; who betrayed the trust and obedience of its people; and who diverted the people’s wealth for their own selfish gain, at the expense of the principles of this country. He’s not going to allow that anymore.
He has cultivated and focused the family of MAGA. Identifying those people whose goodness, industriousness, trust, and obedience have been taken advantage of and abused. He has opened our eyes to this abuse, and the rights of freedom and self determination that have been quietly stolen from us.
He has rekindled the healthy distrust of government and men with too much power held by our founders. He has recultivated the desire to reclaim our freedoms and rights, and is empowering us with a hope and pathway to reclaim our spiritual and economic freedom.
He wants the US to be a light of hope on the hill for all people. He will negotiate win/win agreements with those nations and countries who respect us; who respect the principles and intent of our Constitution. If you do not respect us, however, we are not going to let you take advantage of our goodness, or share in our wealth at our expense. If you as a nation are treating your people badly, you are going to be treated less favorably by us, until you show that you value your people as much as we value ours.
He is convincing those who are very wealthy (most of whom truly earned their money), that the best economic soil in which to build wealth is in a constitutional republic, which supports the ability of the common man to earn wealth in proportion to his efforts. The economic engine of the United States is the human spirit freed to enjoy the fruits of honest labor, and that engine has more natural and raw horsepower than any other governed economy.
The Trump Train seems to be remarkably aligned with universal principles of Truth, which reflect the will and design of our Creator, and are the best standard by which we should live. These same principles were what our country’s founders used to declare independence, and framed into the Constitution of this nation.
Our founders believed that a nation should preserve the right and freedom of an individual to seek, understand, and live by God’s principles. They believed that free individuals working together in humility would make a stronger nation than a government which dictates its will on the people. President Trump professes and seeks to lead and restore this nation back to these same principles.
These principles resonate deeply within all human beings, down to our DNA in every cell, in our spirits, and produce fruit that “miraculously” multiplies. Because we follow universal principles, we see the snowballing acceleration of momentum on day 68 of the 2nd year of the 2nd term of this very stable genius in the history of the kingdoms of this world in the year of our Lord 2025.

They make it sound like being healthy is a bad thing.
You can earn more money snd spend it on what you want.
I only see two ways with it not being offset with other spending.
You saved the money instead of spending it.
Or the government didn’t spend the money.
We have a sick system that counts government spending as good, even when it isbmoney the government doesn’t have.
So the Biden people could cover up a bad economy by massive deficit spending and huge increases in debt.
And reducing that massive deficit spending will cause a recession.
People being healthy reduces government payments to doctors. Which is not balanced out by people spending the money themselves. Nor by the extra money people earn, not being sick.
When we have less population, and those remaining are getting less sick, we don’t need all those doctors (foreigners) and nurses (questionable education). This is why I question these huge medical edifices being built closer to Naples, FL, where the wealthy congregate, leaving almost nothing close for Fort Myers, and especially North Fort Myers, FL.

Rich people can move to a different city, different state, or different country. As always any tax will eventually fall on the working/middle class. The rich will evade the tax and you can’t get much of anything from the poor or those already collecting government benefits.

Prosecutors say Sheridan was with a group of friends on the pier when she noticed Medina-Medina hiding. When Sheridan and others in the group started running for safety, Medina-Medina allegedly fired a gun, shooting and killing the young woman who was in her freshman year of college.
When Medina-Medina was arrested in Chicago in June 2023 for shoplifting, he had been living in taxpayer-funded housing. Even as he is charged with Sheridan’s murder, taxpayers are footing the bill for his medical treatment for tuberculosis.

I was hoping President Trump would remove the federal ethanol mandate. Besides hurting engines, you lose 2-3 mpg with 10% ethanol, and the big reason, it draws down our fresh water aquifers to make it. Maybe after the mid terms.
They should drop the requirement for oxygen content in fuels completely. Modern engines will meet all emissions requirements without it. It serves no functional purpose anymore.
