According to an internal memo reviewed by The Daily Wire, the task force begins by telling all the various government agencies involved in the process: “We cannot litigate ourselves out of the fraud problem,” the memo states. “Research findings show over 1,000,000 suspicious Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans and more than 2,000 suspicious durable medical equipment (DME) companies. The federal government simply does not have the resources necessary to recover all of the money lost to fraud once it has been paid out. Many fraudsters are judgment proof and therefore could not pay back the money they stole even after a successful prosecution.”
The memo identifies a handful of “high-spend, low-verification” programs that will be targeted: Medicare and Medicaid ($2 trillion a year in spending), Department of Labor’s Unemployment Insurance ($43.5 billion a year), Department of Agriculture’s SNAP program ($101 billion a year), Health and Human Services’ Temporary Assistance for Needy Families ($16 billion a year), Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Rental Assistance / Public Housing ($64 billion a year), and the Small Business Administration loans and assistance ($104 billion a year). The teacher/school principal/actor/government official/activist needs to be called out and exposed. There needs to be a cost for bad behavior.

Right you are. There are a lot of signatures at the bottom of fraudulent approvals, inspections, etc. (State, county, municipal workers) who should be very willing to cooperate (to stay out of jail) and drop dimes on bosses who directed them to commit fraud. It shouldn’t take long to move up to higher branches on that tree. If nothing else, pruning the glut of artificial local government jobs should be well-received by taxpayers.

I athink that DOGE was not set up to showcase money being wasted but to figure out the electronic pathways the fraudsters were using to do the fraud. Now they have a way to trace the money flow.
DOGE was a good first step to point out just how “universal” waste, grift, and fraud had become. It paved the way for this new task force.
What concerns me, though, is past experience. Investigators will thoroughly map out how the crimes were committed, and by whom. And then, nothing further will actually happen. If you’re in the right place (and grease the right hands), you CAN get away with it.

Saying we can’t litigate ourselves out of the problem is smart. Legal proceedings occur after the money is stolen. It is infinitely better to stop the money from being stolen in the first place. This means putting more stringent checks up front when people are applying for the money. This can be done and will go a long way toward stopping the fraud.
And even that will be pushed back upon by deceitful judiciary and pols. However, unleash the hounds! ( and look at this BS tummy walz is pulling from Minnesota! Cabal; i sue you! Stephen Miller clearly explains how there’s no verification — that systems were set up for “a high trust society.” States refuse to provide any information, which then has to be litigated. It’s beyond ridiculous at this point.
There’s another one out there where Minnesota temporarily put in place a system that could tell if the IP addresses receiving funds were outside of the state. They saw money not only going to other states, but also overseas. So, of course, they just turned that off.

Here’s an idea for situations where computer matching isn’t effective. Reopen some government field offices where practical and have applicants for these benefits file in person.

I don’t disagree with that premise; however, they can and better prosecute those with power and authority who both committed fraud themselves or aided and abetted fraudsters, making it easier for those fraudsters to commit fraud, i.e., those governors in states that told their state oversight people to close their eyes. Looking at you, Walz, Whitmer, Newsome, and Hochul.

Holding people accountable is what this administration ran on. If I cheat on my income taxes by a few hundred dollars do not think the IRS will not pursue me for that money by any means. Yet white collar crimes are investigated but no compensation is required? Why? Is it because I do not have the financial means to hire a great lawyer to fight the charges for years in court? Of those 7 listed programs, 5 of them involve the feds shoveling money to the states and allowing them to administer the program (Medicaid, SNAP, HUD rental assistance, TANF, and unemployment assistance. The other two Medicare and SBA loans are managed by the feds.
Is there any wonder why those programs are rife with fraud?
Actually Medicare is managed locally by the states because of the manner the Healthcare Insurance Industry has carved up the territory shares. the only fixed cost of Medicare to the retirees is the Federal Premiums set by the Feds .. the rest is state zip code dependent.
Social Security is managed by the Feds.
…however … Medicare and Social Security use the same pot of money within the Federal General Fund … another source of pain as Congress and Executive Branch uses the combined BENEFIT funds for all sorts of Entitlement Program loans they take … then they manage BENEFIT Funds cash flow via “deductions” of Federal Medicare Premiums from Social Security checks … i.e. the Medicare Specific Fund balance is already ZERO and the Social Security fund is on a steep downward slope to ZERO.
The “loans” taken out are done in lieu of the publicly fatal requirement to raise taxes specifically for their vote buying entitle Programs. Then they hide the need for specific taxes via ledger transfers in the Federal General Fund.
The only fix for the benefit programs at this point would a full decoupling from the Federal General Fund and Overhaul of the Acts (Laws) that govern them.
Note, TrumpRx and the President’s proposals for new Privatized Retirement Instruments actually points to the need for this overhaul.
Repeal the 16th Amendment….

I went into a long term care and rehab facility a little over a year ago. About 4-6 months ago I found out that the “primary care physician” for the facility was being paid for fraudulent claims that he was treating me at least 2 x per month. I had never met the man as I had bucked the system and got my own PCP outside of the facility, Thank God.
And if he did it to me I guarantee you there are others here he has done this too. I was lucky my insuror had online medical claims. That is how I outed him. He never counted on someone being smart enough to figure this out.

FBI because this is a crime against a federal program and because it is also subject to mail/wire fraud. The claims are submitted and paid via the intranet.
The Thank God I got an outside PCP is because one of the first things he sent me for was a mammogram. That led to a lot of additional testing, a biopsy, a lumpectomy and finally a diagnosis of Stage 0 ductal carcinoma in situ on March 4th, left breast only, followed by a mastectomy on March 13th. They also removed a Sentinel lymph node at the same time and sent it to pathology. I got word this Wednesday that I am free of cancer, for now anyway.
None of the women or men here are being sent for mammograms by the facility doctor.

Yes, this is exactly why we can’t afford nice things. I plan on taking away everything he hasn’t worked for and more. And he had better soon be losing his job here. I have heard there may be at least one more person who has encountered his fraud here so far. I knew there would be others.
He actually came into my room after I reported him and tried to intimidate me from the foot of my bed. I was having money of it.
A couple days later our “Social Services” team came in and told me he had given a 30 day notice that he would not be my PCP anymore, and therefore I must find one who can be on call 24/7/365 or they will have to find me somewhere else to live.
I immediately called my Ombudsman and put her on the case. I also texted the Administrator to let him know his SS team is trying to push people out the door. This is illegal. They are required by law to put it in writing, give you 30 days notice and right to appeal.
I heard nothing more on this subject.
BTW, according to the Administrator, the facility PCP is required by law to visit every resident at least once a month. The Administrator told me my medical records here revealed no such visits by this guy.
I call him the unicorn. Everyone has heard of them but no one has ever seen one. At that time none of the nurses or CNAs had ever seen him. And his nurse sidekick had also previously threatened me publicly that he was in charge of my healthcare and referrals to any specialists. Quite the team of shysters.

I just found out that we have a VISA WAIVER PROGRAM (vwp) with 42 other countries that allow them to come into the US for 90 days without a visa to do business and travel. This IS insane!! Does anyone think this might be a BIG problem?

Any legal immigrant caught committing fraud should have their status revoked and be deported back to where they came from. This will mean the majority of them. A large portion of the third world parasites that we allow in our country come from societies where fraud and theft are routine and part of their culture so they continue the fraud and theft here. Deport them all back to their country.

The federal government simply does not have the resources necessary to recover all of the money lost to fraud once it has been paid out.
The federal govt had the resources necessary to recover a few hundred dollars lost, due to accounting glitch at Treasury, once when my tax refund was paid out.
They made life a living hell because I didn’t immediately have funds to pay it back since I had already innocently spent it.

Prosecute, convict, seize all assets, imprison for life. That includes gov’t pensions, etc. Take what can be taken, pay down the debt with it, shut the damn program down, deport ANY & ALL ALIENS involved after confiscating all assets.
There are loads of gov’t employees who knew & said nothing. They are therefore accessories after the fact. Try, confiscate, imprison. Start with the corrupt Inspectors General, who are responsible for these gross failures.
There’s no reason that citizens should be paying for those programs or any remediation. Charity can handle them.
