Ha ha…brings back an old Zonian memory…Happy Hour at the Balboa Yacht Club, on Thursday nights…25 cent rum cokes made with the orphan child of Captain Morgan, called Ron Cortez….it was a favorite hang out for the college crowd…there was an upstairs restaurant, where back in the day, they used linen table clothes and had a fabulous menu…and could dine while watching ships go under the Thatcher Ferry Bridge…which is now a toll bridge, I am told…
Now, to stop any illusions of wealth…the lower level of the Yacht Club was not hoity toity….it was an open air, on the water with dock access…where world travelers could get the land legs back, wash clothes, restock supplies and get a fresh water shower.

Israel Update
The Seven Stages Strategy of Israel and the US:
1. A direct strike against the Iranian Leadership: Shock and Owe and damaging the line of command.
This was done on the first day with over 40 who were taken out, and there is more to be done.
2. Eliminating the Air defenses and missiles. Air defenses are probably 90% gone and missile are said to be at 70% down.
3. Destruction of Government symbols, organizations and its infrastructure. Police Stations, Basij buildings, IRGC centers and Headquarters, etc. Thousands were attacked.
4. Destruction of Iran’s Military Industries. Neutralizing it for many years to come. Well in progress.
5. The Nuclear: This is soon to be done. The purpose is neutralizing the Iranian nuclear threat for now and the future. There isn’t much to tell as it depends on Intel that I don’t have.
6. Creating the conditions for the Iranians to replace the regime. Regime change if possible.
7. Dismantling Iran’s proxies with a stress on Hezbollah.
Note: Steps 6 and 7 may go past this Operation. Step 7 is more of an Israeli target than the US.
I realized something that nobody is saying, but there is a possibility that the US ends its Operation and Israel continues with a US support.
15 days of the Operation – Israeli gains:
~Government targets attacked – 2,200 (IRGC Headquarters, Basij buildings, Police statins, etc.).
~Military Industry : 2,600 targets attacked. It’s 2/3 of their capabilities and it’s not over.
~Ballistic Array : 70% destroyed. Last week less than 10 launches per day. It’s going down.
The shift to stage 5 is very near.
I am taking the opportunity to correct a mistake that I made previously. I said that there is a bank of targets that we will exhaust, then we will extended the bank and then we will be in a position to decide about ending the war.
Yesterday I watched an interview with two of the Leading Commanders of Operations in the Israeli Headquarters. One said that the bank of targets is growing up very rapidly and we are not going to run out of targets at all. My understanding is that we are getting more and more Intel as we move along and Iranians are probably helping and providing regime’s targets.
The Iranian regime is gambling on winning by making an energy crisis and making Trump back out. They are also arming loyal civilians in preparation to protests in the streets. I don’t know the extent.
As you can see there is still a lot to come but it’s moving fast. Give it two weeks and the end will hopefully be clearer.
Israel still needs to decide about Hezbollah and the US about Iran. The situations are fluid and decisions can still change. My prayers to our leaders to make the correct decisions.
There is another aspect to it all that I didn’t cover. There is an “Energy War”. Venezuela was a part of it and Iran is ongoing. The US is taking over control of world’s energy supplies against China and adversaries. But this is a wide subject for another update.
As of now I just heard from an Israeli Official who is in close contact with the Americans that the US is not intending to be blackmailed by Iran and will open the Strait of Hormuz at all costs, he said that this is going to linger this war in some weeks.
We are seeing a few wars: Spiritual, kinetic (bullets and weapons), economic, energy…
May God bless Israel and the USA, protect our soldiers and citizens and give us victory.

About your question about Islam, I don’t know it well enough but it appears that it’s a question about people more than about the religion. Different people take different versions of it. Indonesia for example is mainly Muslim and is not militant. There are example of other religions which had periods of Millitary expansion. It’s a subject for study.
God help us if this leader of Iran survives this war. He lost family, not only his father. He will want to revenge.

They can replace leaders endlessly. But, you can get to a point that a new leader emerges who is not so radical and will drop the crazy ambitions of Iran.
In the first Iraq war to clear Kuwait, there was a 30 day initial period of air and artillery shelling based on psychological studies on how long soldiers could remain combat effective. After 30 days of continuous conflict, only the purely psychotic could still fight. Makes me think the 4 to six week time line is similar. In Kuwait soldiers surrendered to journalists at the end.
LOL. We in Israel have people fighting for two years. So do Hamas. It’s all about motivation and feeling of your rightness and necessity to serve the security of your people. Iran was in a war for 8 years with Iraq.
The point is to get the Iranians to rebel and suppress the suppressors. Mossad is now hunting down the Basij forces and killing hundreds in checkpoints. The Basij are the crowd control and Internal Security. It will be up to Iranians eventually.
How long a war lasts is one thing. How long you are under sustained fire in a battle is different. Troops on the front line get relieved periodically. When shooting starts, some become useless almost immediately. Others can remain effective for several days. Battle hardened keep fighting continuously for a week or even two. In Kuwait Iraqui troops were hunkered down. They were targeted continously to the point our troops almost felt sorry for them. It’s about breaking the will to resist.

There are two aspects. Militarily and the potential regime change.
Militarily there is no question that Iran is devastated and the longer the worse it is.
At some point they will only have soldiers with AKs. In normal wars this is when you move in with your Air Force and tanks and defeat them and take land.
In this case the expectation is that the “boots on the ground” will be the protesters and Iranian freedom seekers.
Can they do it against hundreds of thousands of armed forces? Only if the forces will change sides and the protesters will be armed.

Good morning!
Between 12:01 AM and 3:00 pm yesterday we got 20″ of snow. It snowed about 2 inches after that, but right now it is snowing so hard I can barely see the neighbors house across the street. It is suppose to keep snowing here until 1 PM and then 25 MPH winds are predicted which will lead to heavy drifting. They shut the freeway down here due to low visibility yesterday afternoon. A few years ago there were huge multi car pileups with some deaths due to a couple of white outs in the area. NE Wisconsin.
I saw our neighbor out back cleaning their furnace exhaust. Its about 3 ft up but located before a deck. The snow there had drifted about 4 feet and completely plugged the exhaust pipe. They must have had a CO monitor that they got out their and cleaned that. I knew a couple that died from the same thing over 25 years ago when these high efficiency furnaces started putting PVC pipe out of the basement instead of chimneys out the roof. If you have that type of system keep a close eye on the furnace exhaust and get a CO monitor. I had that at my last house and checked that pipe everyday in winter. Stay alive.

Many years ago, in a major snowstorm, our next door neighbor blew all of his driveway snow up against our house. This blocked the furnace exhaust, as you described!
The houses were so close together, I dont know what other choice he had. I’m sure that’s how foundations seeped and basements got wet…all that melting snow has nowhere to go.

COMMENTARY FOR HEBREWS 12:28
An exhortation to be constant and persevere, The example of Christ is set forth, and the gracious design of God in all the sufferings believers endured. (1-11) Peace and holiness are recommended, with cautions against despising spiritual blessings. (12-17) The New Testament dispensation shown to be much more excellent than the Old. (18-29)
18-29 Mount Sinai, on which the Jewish church state was formed, was a mount such as might be touched, though forbidden to be so, a place that could be felt; so the Mosaic dispensation was much in outward and earthly things. The gospel state is kind and condescending, suited to our weak frame. Under the gospel all may come with boldness to God’s presence. But the most holy must despair, if judged by the holy law given from Sinai, without a Saviour. The gospel church is called Mount Zion; there believers have clearer views of heaven, and more heavenly tempers of soul. All the children of God are heirs, and every one has the privileges of the first-born. WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

Yea! I saw that! We’ve got a little snow in our yard here at my place in central Indiana and it’s snowing right now. Thankfully though it looks like though there was certainly some rough weather for some, there wasn’t near the tornado outbreak it was feared it would be. The relative few that touched down appear to have been pretty weak. No monsters like we had last week.

I come before you with humble gratitude and thanksgiving…. and with a request that i am hoping is a simple one.
For those of us who like or need to use use optical readers on our phones (swipe two fingers from he top of iPhone and siri reads the screen) it not as useful to read CTH comments because Siri verbally speaks the dialogue of little red flag between each and every comment. After I hear the pitch about 4 or 5 times I give up..
It may not be something you want to change, but I thought I’d ask. It’s nice because one can put in a headphone move about while listening.

Praise Your holy name Heavenly Father, for granting yet another day in my life and for being with me every step of the way. Thank You for the many blessings that You have provided and the love and fellowship that I have with the friends and family that in Your grace You have placed in my life.
My heart is so thankful for all the many blessings that I enjoy day by day, and today I am once again reminded that Your mercies are new every morning and Your faithfulness endures from generation to generation.
Thank You, that I have been brought into Your family and have been made a child of God and a citizen of heaven. Words cannot express my love and devotion to You Lord
I pray that You would watch over me as I rest tonight, and that You would give me a restful night’s sleep so that I may wake up in the morning refreshed in body and spirit and ready to do Your will. Guard all those that I love and may we all grow in grace and in a knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ in the days that lie ahead. This I ask in His precious name,

Prayer Of Reflection On The Past Day
Loving Lord, as the day is coming to an end, I want to thank You for being with me in all that has taken place today. I also want to lay the whole day before You, asking that you would show me if there is anything that I have done to hurt or harm another person unknowingly, or if I have done anything that is displeasing in Your sight, or quenched the work of the Spirit in me, so that I may turn away from such things in the days that lie ahead.
Lord, I desire to do Your will in all things. I pray that You would cleanse me of any wrong thoughts or attitudes that may have surfaced in my heart today. Wash me in Your cleansing flood, I pray.
Thank You, that You are a God who forgives our transgressions when we are willing to confess them to You, knowing that such cleansing before You immediately draws us back into sweet fellowship with Yourself.
Give me a good night’s rest I pray, and may I rest quietly in Your loving arms in the knowledge that in Christ, I am eternally secure, due to Your amazing grace, for which I praise You. In Jesus’ name,

Evening Prayer For Forgiveness
Heavenly Father, thank You for bringing me through this day and Lord, forgive me for the times when I have wandered outside Your best will for me, instead of trusting You implicitly.
Thank You, that You are such a gracious Shepherd to me and that You come and rescue me even when I lose my way and stray from the path that You have laid out for me.
As I look back over today, I know Lord that there were things that I should have said and done differently, and times when I reacted in a manner that was not honouring Your holy name. Forgive me I pray, but thank You, Father, that You always faithfully prepared to gently bring me back to Yourself.
Give me a good night’s sleep I pray, knowing that there is no condemnation because I am in Christ, and may I wake up in the morning refreshed and ready to do Your will. In Jesus’ name I pray,
