The English Rule (or loser-pays system) shifts the financial burden to the losing side. This is common in most Western democracies and is believed to promote more responsible litigation by deterring meritless claims.
We need the English Rule in the U.S. Especially and at least for when people are suing the gov’t for taxpayer dollars.

Is that not tort reform? That was a hot topic during Obama’s terms I believe. If you sue someone and lose you pay the court costs etc. Seems like it would put the brakes on some very frivolous lawsuits.

I entered college, Texas University, 1962… (Yes, my Dad, A&M graduate of 1929) almost dis-owned me) I was taking law courses… I was astounded to learn that most of the professors at Texas U. were confirmed communists!
I called my Dad, who was far smarter than I, and told him i was being indoctrinated with communist propaganda, and he told me to do what I had to do to graduate, but don’t forget my Texas upbringing…
In 1984 went to University of Oklahoma for another degree and found it too was chock full of communist profs…
We send our kids to college to be educated, but instead they are filled full of communist garbage.
I saw none of that at LSU Law School. No politicized instruction. None.
If only hijabs can be photographed and not the person underneath it, then maybe the violations of the law committed by any one hijab wearer should go on the records of all hijab wearers, and the sentences resulting from those violations should be served collectively by all of them. Seems to me that would be the only logical conclusion. Either that or all of them get over having to show their faces for booking photos.

Save America Act
So this act would primarily require for citizenship to vote and voter I.D. And a few other provisions.
My understanding is we currently have federal law requiring citizenship and age of 18 years or older to vote in federal elections.
Checking out the “Voting Rights Act Of 1965” primarily to prohibit discrimination…
Section 5-Required covered jurisdictions to get federal approval from U.S. DOJ or a federal court before any voting changes (eg. redistricting, polling place locations, voter I.D. Rules) could not have discriminatory purpose.
There is a lot in current federal voting laws I don’t understand, but being a citizen is now required.
Why don’t we enforce current law? States do have the responsibility to develop their voting process and procedures, but they must, I would think, comply with federal law. Why then is our enforcement so lax such that the DOJ or federal court demand they show that they do indeed comply with federal law.
Just so absolutely frustrated that current laws are not enforced or cases brought to the Supreme Court to require states to comply.

The VRA covers discrimination issues based on race, religion, etc. Meaning it’s enforcement mechanisms are designed to remove barriers for voting.
The VRA didn’t anticipate the uniparty traitors to flood the election system with illegal ballots. We absolutely need the SAVE American Act to enforce only legal votes.
You have to have a functioning DOJ and competent AG to enforce the laws. We have neither.

So even if we are able to get the Save America Act passed, who will enforce it ?
We can’t even get unlawful Sanctuary Acts enforced.
Our Constitutional Republic is close to failure because our whole judicial system has become political and the Hate America crowd is more aggressive and committed to achieving their goals of bringing down America.

Not true; when Bondi and the DOJ have brought several cases, and District Court judges in NJ, NY, Maryland, Massachusetts, California, and the District of Columbia have knocked them down. The DOJ is up against a barrage of activist lawsuits demanding injunctions granted by Obama judges, grand jury nullifications, and an extremely biased judiciary that makes prosecutions beyond challenging.
You take out some high profile Congress folks and billionaires for money and human trafficking along with some state officials for same and then get back to me with those challenges. Perp walks go a long way. Rudy did it in the most corrupt city in America.
Republicans often repeat that Dems are putting politics and power over the well being of it’s citizens whom they are suppose to represent…especially recently concerning the dems not funding DHS.
The way I look at it is same applies to Republicans. They are sitting back and letting the Dem party, which has proven that they no longer represents the US interest but instead are actively trying to destroy the US, are no longer a party but an organized enemy.
The Republican too are putting politics over the country and citizens by treating the Dems as a legitimate party that represents the country. Republicans should start calling them out as the enemy and start governing alone
Think about it, how can the Republicans justify letting the Dems put citizens in life threatening situations and do nothing to protect their constituents?. Proof and charges would be referred to the DOJ for indictment and prosecutions if the Republicans were true to their Oath of Office.

Many states don’t require proof of citizenship or ID. They only take your word for it. That is the problem.

This absolutely makes no sense to me. If one state follows federal election law while another does not it could affect the balance of power in federal government. This could do harm to the voters of the state voters that actually follow law.

A year ago I ran into a blog site that I started to watch regularly. Woman lived in northern Ontario and had been diagnosed with cancer. Although we didn’t know one another I was able to contact her (through a weird set of circumstances, since I’m not on any type of social media) and tell her about many alternative treatments for cancer.
I also gave her the number of a doctor that lived a couple hundred miles south of her — here in the U.S. — and told her she could get a prescription from this doctor.
Never heard from the woman again, and stopped watching her blog when life got super busy in the summer.
But this past fall I ran into the doctor who is a true Godsend. I thanked her, again and again, for all she does to treat humans with great love and respect, and she immediately thanked me.
‘What are you thanking me for?!’
She said I’d sent a lot of people her way, ‘Like the woman from Canada.’
Didn’t ask anything about that situation, since I did not know the person other than what she showed online, but was hopeful that her cancer had died and she did not.

Important. With a new governor and retained legislature, Arizona is in line to become the next Florida. The registration shifts show the same movement as Florida’s did between 2016 and 2024. All 15 counties sit right of where they were when Trump won by 5.5% in 2024.

I was watching Traitor Thune debate Cuck Schemer about DHS funding–or allegedly “debate”– and I found myself nodding in agreement with Thune and frowning at Schumer.
Thune was WASP-ish and soft-spoken while Schumer was all Jew-y and annoying. And Thune’s words were right. We are programmed to cheer for our guy and yell at the other guy. They know this. That’s why we keep playing Republicans vs. Democrats.
I found myself slipping into the Mockingbird Media Narrative- mindset that William L. Shirer described in the Rise and Fall of the Third Reich; you know the bastards are lying to you but you’ve got to fight it off because you’ve been propagandized so long, it seems like normal.
But then it struck me; whatever words they were saying, it was all an act. They really both agreed that Homeland should not be funded or it would be funded. Same with the Save America Act. They don’t want Honest Elections or there would be Honest Elections. It does not pass because both “parties” wish it not to pass.
The mechanism is the Filibuster. But Republicans could repeal the Filibuster Rule today. They don’t.
And they don’t because they are on the same team. They pretend they’re not, but they are. It’s like The Harlem Globetrotters and the Washington Generals.
That sounds about right. Republicans lose because they want to lose. Maybe not every single senator, every single time. A few of them may not even realize they’ve been co-opted.
They don’t lose every vote or every election because that would give the Fraud away. Similarly, if every COVID shot produced immediate death or obvious injury, no one would have taken them.
But when you see your country invaded, every program looted, Homeland Security shut down in wartime, Honest Elections thwarted, a Federally-sponsored Crime Wave, an Epstein-Gates Manufactured Virus that is supposedly “cured’ by a DARPA/China “Vaccine”, remember;
