There’s been a lot posted about illegal immigrant drivers with no understanding of English, signage, or the basic rules of the road just driving semis or other heavy trucks right into passenger vehicles. Just adding a random thought to the mix.
Essentially everywhere that’s not a first world country, there is only one rule of the road — the larger vehicle does what it wants and all smaller vehicles must defer and avoid or suffer the consequences. These folks know no other way. Even if they have some basic understanding of the rules in America, during driving your instincts are basically in charge. And their instincts are to just drive straight ahead and let everyone else get out of the way. By the time conscious thought kicks in it’s too late.
We need to rigorously enforce fluent English, and extensive driving and written testing for any non citizens to obtain any driver’s license at all. I’d be in favor of only allowing citizens to possess CDL, for the reasons above.

Several years ago I had to travel to Liberia for work. The hotel I stayed in di not have a restaurant. There was a restaurant directly across the street. The street was busy and there were no stop lights. I did not dare cross that street on my own. Every time I had to go to the restaurant I would go over to the guard station I did one of them would walk me across the the street. When I was done eating I would come out and wait for them to come get me. I did it for a week.
I have never forgotten the horror I felt the first time I saw I needed to cross that street to eat. It was a fairly decent part of Monrovia and I saw the locals doing it. I just knew right away that If I tried I’d die. I did not know the local “road language” so I had to depend on the local guards to navigate for me.

Trump is absolutely trying and so are some of his appointees. Others are there to stall, placate, grin-f, and engage in other time-consuming efforts to preserve the Swamp and its power (i.e., Blonde and Patel who, to-date, have done nothing apparent but BAU small-ball stuff).
If nothing big is done about our election fraud problem, Trump’s efforts will not be successful. Election Integrity is far and away the Number 1 issue. Everything else flows down from that. The “people” have no power if their votes are flipped, stolen, disenfranchised by massive ballot harvesting, discarded, and other communist tactics. It simply cannot be allowed, but is right now.
The SAVE act is a very small no-brainer effort. This is not “big” in any way and if the SAVE act was in-place in 2020, Biden still crushes Trump with massive fraud. Yet the GOP won’t even bother to pass SAVE.
Me thinks (and have always thought) the GOP will intentionally toss the House in 2026 and they don’t really care about the Senate either. They are the permanent minority party and Trump is their sworn enemy. I think deep-down, the President fully gets this. His situational instincts are very good. Virginia’s legislature has passed a bill prohibiting schools from teaching what it considers to be falsehoods about the Jan. 6, 2021, U.S. Capitol riot, including portraying it “as peaceful protest.”
The bill says that school instruction must “Not describe, portray, or present as credible a description or portrayal of the actions precipitating or involved in the events of the January 6, 2021, insurrection as peaceful protest.”
Schools may also not “state, suggest, or present as credible a statement or suggestion that there was extensive election fraud that could have changed or actually changed the results of the 2020 presidential election.”
Instead, the measure says that school instruction must “Describe the January 6, 2021, insurrection at the United States Capitol as an unprecedented, violent attack on United States democratic institutions, infrastructure, and representatives for the purpose of overturning the results of the 2020 presidential election.”
The legislation was sponsored by state delegate Dan Helmer, a Democrat from Northern Virginia. In the state Senate, the bill passed 21-19 — the chamber’s 19 Republicans opposed the measure.

A new webpage under the official whitehouse.gov domain, rolled out five years after the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot, rewrites the history of the attack on the Capitol that took place as Congress was affirming Joe Biden’s victory in the 2020 presidential election.
The website expresses views long promoted by President Trump that the Jan. 6 attack was a “peaceful march,” blames Capitol Police for “escalating tensions,” and repeats Mr. Trump’s false claim that the 2020 election was stolen.
“The Democrats masterfully reversed reality after January 6, branding peaceful patriotic protesters as ‘insurrectionists’ and framing the event as a violent coup attempt orchestrated by Trump—despite no evidence of armed rebellion or intent to overthrow the government,” the new webpage says.
One woman, Ashli Babbitt, was shot and killed by Capitol Police as a crowd tried to enter the House chamber, while three others died amid the chaos.
On the day Mr. Trump was inaugurated for his second term, he pardoned more than 1,500 people who were convicted or charged in the attack, among them, individuals convicted of violent and serious crimes, including assaulting police officers and seditious conspiracy.
The new webpage puts forth a different view of the president’s clemency, declaring Mr. Trump pardoned “January 6 defendants who were unfairly targeted, overcharged, and used as political examples. They were not protected by the leaders who failed them. They were punished to cover incompetence.”
