There have been some ethical rumblings about who Noem awarded the contract to. $143 million was awarded in no-bid contracts to a company that was formed 11 days before being awarded the contract Safe America Media. Safe America Media then subcontracted the work to the Strategy Group an organization headed by Ben Yoho, the husband of Noem’s former chief spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin. $77 million was awarded to People Who Think also in a no bid contract. Questionable contract awarding sure but not as bad as democrats or RINOs. Trump’s keeping her in his administration letting the communists think they won but not really.

Just my take on Noem. Living in a neighboring State I’ve had large doses of Noem news since she ran for Congress back in 2011 or so. As a reminder, that was the peak of the “Tea Party” movement and Noem was a focus of that movement in that election. Another woman was getting a lot of attention using the same political momentum: Elizabeth Warren. For whatever reason I decided they were two people, republican and democrat that I took an interest in to examine where the “movement” might be heading. I had two litmus tests for each of them. Noem being a rancher would have to make a decision about the largest farm bill in history. It was decked out with all the trimmings. I wondered how serious she was about special interests and spending. She got caught up in the system and failed the test. Warren, who ran on taking down the big money banks had an opportunity to support a Rand Paul bill to audit the FED. She voted against it. So much for the “Tea Party.”
Over time it became obvious Noem was ambitious for far more than Congress. That’s okay. I guess ambition and politics are hard to separate. However, there were far too many situations that demonstrated Noem was a corner cutter and her ambitions seemed to outpace her character. Honestly, I wish her well. But to me, she’s proven she’s not cut out for effective top leadership.
I have learned to be skeptical of anyone who looks like spends more than an hour a day putting their make-up on or keeps spending great sums of money altering their face. I know there are exceptions, but it seems that even the most beautiful wisest women accept the natural process of aging and trust God to display their wisdom in His own beautiful way.
An exception is Dolly Parton, who trusts her love and heart to shine through her physical assets. She even makes fun of the worldly beauty dominated process, saying,
