I need to fire up the (real) digital camera & find where I packed the tripod and (attempt anyway) to get a few live shots of the Milky Way. Right here is the only place I have ever actually ever see it with my own eyes, I still have to go out of town a mile or 2 tho.
What is sad is the dang cell phones have 4x the resolution as the 20 year old digital which I believe maxes out at 720.
Last time I tried to get a shot or 2 of the potential northern lights making it down this far it was overcast…. sigh.

Dad did his active duty at Eglin AFB, a decade at least, ca 1970’s. Mom/sister/me, went to the beach at the Officers Club every day, during those 2 weeks of heaven. We would get back to the hotel, in Fort Walton, clean up, pick up Dad at the Base, go back to the Officers Club for dinner.
Went back as older adult, Officers Club was gone and so were all the thick woodlands of pines, either side of the road, hurricane. I asked the military guard at the gate to the beach, if I could go in and just walk to the water. He said they got people like me, needing to go see the water, because of their childhoods there too. My husband had to stay in the car. I walked to the beach. Tried to stand as close to the spot, where we set up our beach chairs, guess what had been the parking lot, and where the solid white, Art Deco, officers club sat.

Biography: Jackie Coogan had a long acting career, beginning at age two in silent film and continuing until his death at age 69. His most remembered roles were in the Charles Chaplin film “The Kid”, and his electrifying performance as “Uncle Fester” in the macabre sitcom The Addams Family in the mid 1960s.
Coogan was born into a vaudeville family, and was discovered by Charles Chaplin while performing at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles. It is not the fault of Israel or the US that Iran fired on those Arab nations.
I don’t pretend to know the future of this conflict like os many apparently do, but what I know is this:
The the leadership of the #1 terrorist nation in the world responsible for the deaths of 10s of 1,000s of of his own people and many hundreds of US troops and many 1,000s of others has been gutted and that’s a very good thing.
A hostile Iran will NOT have a nuclear weapon and that is a very good thing.
The US and Israel pulled this off without NATO or any European “ally” helping and in fact did so in spite of the UK and France trying to impede their operations. The EU has lost all relevancy to this situation and that is a very good thing.
Both of Iran’s proxy’s, Hezbollah and the Houthis, that are in positions to attack US and Israel forces have been very slow to act. And that’s a very good thing.
China or Russia don’t seem to have gone beyond issuing strongly worded letters even though 40% of China’s oil imports pass through the Strait of Hormuz, and that is a very good thing and contrary to what the panicans predicted.
That so far joint Israel and US operations have been outstanding and there may actually be a chance for the Iranian people to finally be free. And that is a very good thing.

Israel Update:
If you followed my updates in the past three days, you noticed that I am doing something not typical for me, I entered the Bible into the equation. It simply too obvious ro ignore.
I told the Biblical story of Esther and how she saved the Jews from a genocide across the Persian Empire, and the evil man Haman, who was behind the bad intent, was hanged. Every year, for some 2,500 years, we celebrate it—the Purim holiday/celebration. And Purim is on March 2–3.
I mentioned that “Khamenei is Haman,” and there may be a Divine intervention and he will be gone for Purim.
The next day, I gave a full quotation from Ezekiel of God’s punishment of Elam (that was Persia). I posted it an hour before the attack began, and someone here said, “Why are you posting it?”
What goes on is no less than Biblical. We are witnessing history! In my humble opinion.
So now to the point:
~ It was all planned between Israel and the US for months. It was supposed to start a bit later, but there was an opportunity, and it started during the daytime, which surprised the Iranians. There was a Reuters report today that says that Israel and the US waited weeks for the opportunity to catch the leaders all together. But I just heard that it was not by chance. Israel somehow caused meetings of the top military leadership with some of the political leaders.
200 jet fighters took to the air and flew over a thousand miles, and in about 60 seconds the entire leadership of Iran was gone. Two locations. Including Khamenei, whose compound had some 30 missiles dropped on it. So it was not only Khamenei. We are still not having everything confirmed, but we know of about 40 key leaders: the Defense Minister, the Chief of Staff, Head of Intel, lead advisor to the Supreme Leader who was behind the nuclear program, and a long list of generals. I don’t even know if the President is on the list. We are waiting for some confirmations, but the 200 fighter jets decimated the leadership of Iran. The same 200 jets also decimated the air defense of Iran and many of the ballistic missiles.
Basically, the US and Israel are having a free flight zone over Iran. Those 200 fighter jets attacked 500 targets, and this was only the first wave.
~ The US attacked some 800 targets in the first 12 hours—from the air, by missiles, and killer drones.
There is a division of tasks between the Israelis and the Americans, and there is tight coordination. Israel is more busy hunting missile launchers, and I saw quite a lot of success.
~ Until not long ago, the US had no casualties and Israel didn’t either. Unfortunately, a few hours ago we had a direct hit on an apartment building around Tel Aviv. A woman in her 50s was killed, a few moderately injured, and many lightly injured. It looks bad—that building.
~ The Iranians are going psycho and attacking everyone around them: UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan, Israel, Iraq, Bahrain, etc. I saw a few hits on US bases, but no data on casualties. Maybe the people evacuated in advance.
~ CENTCOM is posting that Iran is lying. No US casualties, no ship was hit, no severe damage at many US bases—only minimal damage that is not affecting operations.
~ I accidentally said that Iran’s oil industry was attacked. It wasn’t. I guess that if the regime will flip, they will need the oil.
~ Israel hacked the Iranian communication system and texted many military members of Iran to change sides.
~ Because of the devastating strikes of the IAF (Israeli Air Force), the Iranians are not managing to hit Israel with many tens or hundreds of barrages of missiles. It has been dripping constantly—3–5 at a time or so. It is easier to intercept. We also had a major upgrade of our Arrow anti-ballistic missile defense system not long ago. It used to have about 90% success or less, and it is better now. So we had a full day with no casualties until one slipped.
~ Khamenei was identified on a video. His body was pulled out. Major celebrations in Iran—I see many videos. Also in the world and some in Israel. That man had a lot of blood on his hands—Iranian, Israeli, American, and others. Taking him out is a major accomplishment. It can break their spirit. They are still not admitting it, and I haven’t heard from the President yet. I am not sure of his status.
Israel did something quite crazy. We still don’t know how else he was eliminated. I wouldn’t be surprised if his expected replacement is already dead.
~ The big question is: Will the Iranians rise? No one knows. It’s their chance. I am 100% sure that we have Special Forces embedded in Tehran, ready to help the protesters take over.
~ We know that the Head of the Revolutionary Guard and the Senior Military Advisor of Khamenei are confirmed dead. The Defense Minister is confirmed dead, and many other high ranks.
~ Netanyahu: This war will lead to real peace.
Our cooperation with the US is at its highest ever.
~ CENTCOM says they managed to defend against hundreds of missiles and drones.
~ UAE was hit with hundreds of missiles and drones. Also Bahrain had its share, and a bit the Saudis, and Qatar had a serious share too. Iran is also trying to block the Strait of Hormuz. All the oil from the Gulf States goes through there. They want to cause a world crisis and pressure the US to back off fast. I don’t think they will succeed. I already saw their ships getting hammered in ports.
~ Expect a decrease in Iran’s firepower. I see our pilots and drones hunting their launchers. They are already low—it will diminish.
~ No one ever caused a regime change from the air. I am waiting to see the protesters, and I have a feeling that we will help them on the ground. We have undercover units and Mossad.
~ While the Gulf States get hit badly, none is brave enough to join the attacks on Iran.
~ France stated opposition to the operation. Canada and Australia support it. Turkey opposes.
~ A questionable report that the son of Khamenei is killed. He could be the next Supreme Leader. He is bad news too—another evil guy.
~ A list of senior Revolutionary Guard people killed: the Head of Counter-Espionage, Head of Counter-Terrorism, a senior expert in fighting Israel, Head of Internal Security. Many are related to suppression of the protesters.
~ Iran’s Military General Staff Headquarters destroyed. Note that Israel did a lot of homework before this war and has a massive bank of targets, which is shared with the US.
~ It reminds me of the 12-day war. Israel is cleaning up the ground from air defenses and other threats, and the US then comes in with the big tools. I am hearing that the B-2 bombers are now on the way.
~ The American and Israeli message now is that “it will take what it takes.” This means they are ready to keep going for weeks if needed. They want the Iranian population to act. Trump specifically said so more than once. I saw some demonstrations, but not yet what you would expect. We shall see.
I think it will all work out, but I am not a prophet.
~ Reports that Israeli Special Forces are operating in Iran.
~ Trump: All I want is freedom for the Iranian people.
~ Reports of security forces shooting at protesters.
~ Secretary of War Hegseth:

~Khemenei is not just a political leader. He is a religious figure of the holy Shia bloodline. His death may unite the Shia World with an intent for revenge. Israel will have to bring about a regime change somehow or Netanyahu and Trump will be in danger.

Great update, thanks David. Not in for a protracted war against all these groups though. Once again things need real fixing in the USA, we are broken into Red and blue states and we have real struggles of our own. The IDF is amazing and I’m glad we could work together to take out these crazies! They’re on our soil too, and need to go home!
I agree. You have bigger problems in the US. But the Jihadists are also in the US. In this case It may take a few weeks or a month. Not much more. They want revenge so for the safty of our leaders we need to get this job done.

Care is a burden, it makes the heart stoop. We must commit our ways and works to the Lord; let him do as seemeth him good, and let us be satisfied. To cast our burden upon God, is to rest upon his providence and promise. And if we do so, he will carry us in the arms of his power, as a nurse carries a child; and will strengthen our spirits by his Spirit, so that they shall sustain the trial. He will never suffer the righteous to be moved; to be so shaken by any troubles, as to quit their duty to God, or their comfort in him. He will not suffer them to be utterly cast down. He, who bore the burden of our sorrows, desires us to leave to him to bear the burden of our cares, that, as he knows what is best for us, he may provide it accordingly. Why do not we trust Christ to govern the world which he redeemed?

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

We must not rest on our laurels, but carry the message that our Creator is the Way, the Truth and the Light. He is our cloud by day, our pillar of fire by night. He is the perfection we must follow and allow to guide us through this world.
Many are waking up, blinking their eyes in the light of freedom for the first time in years. Many for the first time in their lives.
I pray that we may fulfill our purpose and reflect the Glory of our Lord, Not by our goodness, but by the transformation that occurs by our submission to Him. That we may reflect his love and mercy.
I pray that we as a country may continue to see and stand firm against the evil forces of those among us seeking to devour us. That we may, with the wisdom and strength of God — call them out and overpower them with Gods strength — and return our country to its foundation on the principles of our Creator.

Just curious. How many here that did not take the clot shots have arranged to have a transfusion donor and to be a donor for someone who did not take the shots? For example my youngest brother and I are both B+ blood type and have such an arrangement.

A few took the Johnson & Johnson vaccine,
which at the time was excepted.
