This update is aa bit long but it has some things, especially at the end which are unique and are not available anywhere else. It took some digging and time.
Iran:
~Second Carrier and Strike fleet was ordered to the Iranian area. The Gerald Ford carrier. The largest that the US has.
~A meeting scheduled for Geneva 17th Feb. Witkoff with the Iranian Foreign Minister.
Note that the Iranians use the “Good cop bad cop” technique where the “good cop” is the Foreign Minister which is very smooth and appears moderate. The problem is that the “bad cop” is the Supreme Leader and he makes all the decisions.
~Netanyahu yesterday said the Israeli requirements from the negotiations:
•All of Iran’s enriched uranium to be moved out of Iran.
•Removal of enrichment equipment and an end of enrichment.
•Iran’s ballistic program limited to missies of 300km range only.
•No more support to proxy organizations such as Hamas, Hezbollah, etc…
Note that this is not necessarily the American position. Trump’s position is not clear as once he said no nuclear program and another time he included the missiles issue too.

~Israel’s GDP is number 3 in the Middle East after Turkey and Saudi Arabia. Only 10 million people. Iran is 93 millions, Egypt 120 millions, Turkey 86 million, Saudi Arabia 35 million, etc… and it is after a long war and Israel doesn’t have the oil industry like some neighbors have.
Gaza:
~Trump on Social media: said that Hamas must disarm as they said.
~The IDF killed an Islamic Jihad high ranking leader who was involved in running terrorists in 10/7 and killed another terrorist who participated in 10/7. I see such news every few days.
The problem is that the Speaker of the IDF presents it as “response to Hamas violations of the ceasefire.”
Now there are violations and I see videos of terrorists emerging from tunnels beyond the yellow separation line. But the formula that is forming is a big mistake. We don’t need reasons for killing terror leaders and participants in 10/7.
There is a thing that I call “a formula”. It’s the “agreed upon way of action”.
For example the formula before 10/7 was “Quiet will be answered with quiet”. That formula was behind the disaster that we faced. So it is critical to operate with the correct formulas. Ideally you wipe out the terrorists so there is no need for a “formula”. Imagine the US going after ISIS with some formula of when to strike and when not. Wouldn’t work.

“The conditions for the withdrawal of the IDF from the Yellow line and the entry of the Technocrat civil managers and the rehabilitation of Gaza depends on: The complete disarming of Hamas. Note: This is nice to hear but in the real world without the IDF doing it, it’s laughable.
You see, all those “deals with Jihadi Islamists” have some fake aspect and added time factor until things blow up. See pre 10/7, it’s the best proof.
~Netanyahu is saying that only 150 Km (93 miles) of tunnels were demolished out of 500 km (310 miles)
Proportions: 310 miles is about Miami to Jacksonville FL. More than Dallas to the Mexican border.
It’s about 5-5.5 hours of driving in moderate traffic. Our enemies really want us dead to spend so much energy on this rather than their own families’ well being. And this is what Golda Meir the Israeli Prime Minister from many decades ago said: “Peace will come when the Arabs love their children more than they hate us”.
Yes, at the current rate it will take years to demolish all the tunnels. maybe without hostages we can finally flood it with water. But I don’t know. This is a technical question.
And yes, there is a deceptive aspect or maybe simply inability to face reality, of the Israeli Security Establishment who let us believe that things are better than they really are and all of a sudden we discover that only 30% of the tunnels were demolished. And I keep seeing terrorists emerging in areas that we control for a long time. And even our own forces believed that it was better than it really is.
And this is not all. Hamas is growing and getting a lot of money from selling the aid and from abroad.
The longer we wait the bigger the “boom” will be when we clash with them again. But make no mistake. Without the hostages it will be a different story. They will have to flee or die.
Trump and Israel keep saying that the Trump’s plan has a step of disarming Hamas. Trump keeps saying that “Hamas promised to disarm and they must comply or else…”.
Something didn’t smell right to me because Hamas is very clear all along against disarming. The idea that Hamas ever agreed to disarm or turn over the tunnels is a completely against their DNA and survival.
So I started to dig on it. The 20 steps plan. It was an interesting dive. It’s impossible to answer all the questions but I did narrow it.
First – It is in the plan of the 20 steps. A disarming! It is true.
But it is also true that Hamas never agreed to it. They are very clear all along.
So why Trump keeps saying that they agreed? To this I can’t answer. There are a few possibilities.
One is that it is strategic way of pressuring them. Two is that the mediators from Qatar/Turkey/Egypt told him so and told Hamas that it will all work out in some way.
But there is no signed deal. If Hamas gets wiped out by the IDF in the next months then I will call it a brilliant manipulation against Hamas that gave us the hostages. If Trump picks up the other route of “Hamas giving out some weapons” but in reality they are still armed and ruling Gaza. And then you get a “peace force” that is shielding Hamas. Then it was a brilliant manipulation of the Arabs, Witkoff and Trump against Israel.
I tend to believe that Trump is working with Bibi on it all. I think it is the first option that I mentioned.

Knowledge is power but rank it more powerful. When I was the corporal on the team and the lowest ranking member the team leader ordered me to dig a latrine. A slit trench. This was during the winter when the ground was frozen solid. I said “Sir, the medic is responsible for selecting the location of the latrine and but it is an engineering function to actually dig the latrine.” I ended up digging the straddle trench.
When I went before the promotion board for promotion from the rank of corporal to sergeant a Sr. sergeant on the board asked: “Corporal what is an ERDLator? I happened to know but it was not a question that should have been asked of an SF medic. I answered something like “Sergeant, and ERDLator is water purification system which a medic has nothing to do with except testing the water it produces for potability. Engineers maintain and operate that equipment, not medical personnel”.
The chairman of the board looked right at the sergeant that had asked me that question and said, the corporal is exactly right!
Another low IQ sergeant on the board on the pretense of asking current events question which we were supposed to be up on, “How much did the movie E.T. gross?” I answered “sergeant I have no Idea, and quite frankly I really don’t care”.
I was promoted and a month later won soldier of the month for Ft. Devens and two months later Soldier of the Quarter for Ft. Devens, which were obtained by competing against others based on answers given to questions of a board.
The moral of the story is one will always have to deal with numbskulls and pricks that are your superior and there are times to think “yes sir yes sir three bags full” and comply and other times one has to stand up for themselves and against the BS.
So typical of what I see time again. And there are swarms of good people on X that when they see posts like that dig into the scumbags posting history and come up with a prior post that highlights the hypocrisy. The leftists can’t stand being exposed for what they are:

The glory of God’s works. (1-6) His holiness and grace as shown in his word. (7-10) Prayer for the benefit of them. (11-14)
11-14 God’s word warns the wicked not to go on in his wicked way, and warns the righteous not to turn from his good way. There is a reward, not only after keeping, but in keeping God’s commandments. Religion makes our comforts sweet, and our crosses easy, life truly valuable, and death itself truly desirable. David not only desired to be pardoned and cleansed from the sins he had discovered and confessed, but from those he had forgotten or overlooked. PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

X was down for awhile today on my computer. So in the meantime I ran a full virus and malware scan and did a restart. Then went and had coffee with Sherry and we doctored Buckley’s left ear which has been giving him problems. And so about 1 1/2 hours came back and it was up again.
But what was weird was X was only down on my computer and I could still get it on my phone. All other apps and links working normally on the computer when X was down.

In it he references May 17, 2026 where President Trump has called for a national day of prayer on the Capital Mall in Washington, D.C. and am now thinking that approaching that day with a national day of repentance may be a good way to prepare to celebrate the 250th birthday and set the stage for the next 250 or so years.
