This is my reassurance every day. I stumble and fall, and sometimes I wonder how the Lord puts up with me. But He’s never lied to me and His word tells me in absolute terms that if I confess my sins, He is faithful and just to forgive me and cleanse me from all unrighteousness (I John 1:9) because God is love. The freedom from guilt that that truth produces, dragging us out from under the weight of condemnation, motivates us to want to let others know that same liberation – If the Son sets you free, you are free indeed. (John 8:36).
Free not only from the power of the sin that held you in its grip for so long, but also from the condemnation of the memories of that life. When we come to Christ, we are made into a new creation and that old life is gone (2 Corinthians 5:17). Introducing others to the One who can give this life should be like introducing them to a dear friend.

Welcome to the weekend and Happy Valentine’s Day
Help me out here. Did Trump issue this EO statement on Voter ID today because the GOP Senate just neutered the Save Act bill (in exchange for Collins support) by taking out his Voter ID provision, Save America Act (just State Issued ID now)??? State issued ID is NOT sufficient. This actually helps little in Blue states, given they issue Driver’s Licenses to illegals, who now can safely use that to vote. This is nuts. This actually will increase the number of illegals voting in our elections in blue states. Did we just get played by the GOP Senate? Are they now going to pass this quickly before we catch on to how they’ve weakened the bill? Please correct me if I’m wrong. I want to be wrong. But this is what it looks like.
Collins said she supports the newly amended House version. The old one, “The SAVE Act” required a federally issued ID, aka, a Passport to be shown at the polls each election cycle. Collins didn’t like that as many people don’t carry their Passport 24/7 and if it is the only accepted ID, do you not get to vote when it is off being renewed for 6-8 weeks at processing centers?
The new House bill, passed last week, “the SAVE America act” changed the language to state that you must show birth certificate or passport to REGISTER to vote. Once on the voter rolls, you can show any version of gov photo ID (State ID, State DL, or US Passport) to vote at the polls to prove you are the person listed on approved rolls.
I haven’t read the full text of this new bill yet, but the 1st version required states to audit voter rolls monthly to purge deceased individuals; required PROOF of citizenship given in person prior to being added to rolls (no more “self-attestation” forms, no more online registration); photo ID to be shown at polls (don’t know if language provides alternative for vote by mail, or if this effectively eliminates vote by mail); and HEFTY penalties for any county clerk recorder/staffers found to be registering fake people, failing to review citizenship docs or failing to check social security admin for deceased people.
Next task: eliminate voting machines!! Then a massive red wave this fall and quickly legislate every single one of Trump’s campaign promises so America 1st will still be going strong 100 years from now!

So I hope you understand my confusion as to what exactly she thinks she is supporting? By State Issued ID does she mean a State Issued Voter ID as distinct from, say, a state issued Driver’s License? If she means the latter, that’s an issue, is it not? I mean, when you add in Trump’s urgent statement today that he will issue an EO requiring Voter ID in elections, this further adds to my confusion. Does he mean the same thing Collins does, i.e., that a State Issued ID (Driver’s License) is the same thing as Voter ID? Or does Trump mean a distinct Voter ID, which every citizen would have to apply for and provide documented proof of citizenship (e.g., birth certificate) in order to obtain? If the answer is the latter, and if Collins means a Drivers License is sufficient, then it appears to me that Trump is at odds with Collins, if not also with the Senate GOP, which, as you said, apparently has removed Trump’s Save America Act (Voter ID) provision which had been added to the original House bill in order to get Collins support for a Save Act bill.
Again, something doesn’t add up here. I’m no blackpill. I’m also no doomer. But I am a “suspicious cat” because of Sundance, which, yes, can admittedly lead to being a panican sometimes. Lol.

Trump’s truth social post was signaling to Thune to bring this up for a floor vote ASAP to leave time for enforcement prior to primaries this summer. “We can do this the easy way or the hard way” kind of messaging.
Yes, that is the explanation of most. I just wonder if there was more to it than that–if it might also relate to the concessions to Collins that took out Trump’s addition to the bill, i.e., Save America Act.
I’m actually shocked at myself, but I do agree with Collins that requiring voters to have a birth certificate or passport on election day would be a problem, and likely would give strength to the Democrats’ Jim Crow nonsense. A state passport should be sufficient, but with blue states handing out ID’s like they were clip coupons, it’s an invitation to continue the fraud indeed. BUT…if the problem is tackled at voter registration (no more of this motor voter insanity), then that alleviates a big part of the problem, or at least gives our RICO Democrat party another hurdle to overcome to cheat.
Yes, Democrats will furiously try to find a way to cheat. What else are they going to do? They’ve gone so far off the deep end, they can’t win national elections even with our current dumbed-down and partially radicalized electorate unless they cheat. But the SAVE act is the basis for a good start toward, if not mostly honest elections, then at least elections less crooked than they routinely are now.

Per the Gateway Pundit this morning “The current House-passed SAVE America Act still requires proof of citizenship BEFORE registering to vote, per updated bill summaries:
So as I read it proof of citizenship is required and must be shown before registering to vote in order for the local driver’s license to become acceptable. The fly in the ointment in CA is that you are registered to vote when you get your license with no requirement of proof of citizen required.
So, it’s a clear as mud.
House version says documents showing proof of citizenship must be provided in person, which means CA DMV can not auto enroll anyone at DMV or they will be faced with fines and or possible jail time. The CA Voter ID initiative petition that should be on the ballot this Nov would require all CA elections (including local citywide elections conducted on a different day that the Federal elections) to require proof of citizenship and VoterID.
But Susan Collns is a Senator and it s the Senate version of the bill that she has coerced into removing the Federal ID requirement.
She was quoted as saying she would vote for the current version of the House bill. Mike Lee wants to proceed to floor vote, no more amendments.
Thank you. This is one of the points I was trying to make. Concessions to Collins weakened the bill. Better than nothing, no doubt. But not the ideal bill. Blue States will still play games, rely on the Leftist lower courts, stall confirmation, etc. At least Scotus ruled that lawsuits against shananigans will have standing.

All my cats lay this way, on their back or with paws on their face off and on all day. Love watching them sleep. The three “teenager” kittens are now sleeping with me at night. Cleo still sleeps under the bed or on a piece of furniture. She will sleep on the bed during the day though. I still have to watch where I walk so as not to step on one of them. They constantly follow me around and rub my ankles. In the morning, I am bombarded with the teenagers when I am trying to use the toilet as well.
I can not imagine life without them now. It has been 9 months since they were born. Time flies by the older we get.

Good morning Soaz. What a beautiful cat. He reminds me of my first cat, “Mao”. A grey Maine Coon mix I adopted from the shelter. He was one of the finest and funniest cats I ever had the privilege of knowing. He lived for 15 years with me, but we were not sure how old he was when we got him.

Oh thank you for this poem Soaz. It brought tears as it reminds me of all the feral cats that showed up in my barn and stuck around because it was shelter for them and they knew they would get fed. I always tried to provide them with a dry, as warm as possible, place to reside and they kept my barn rodent free! Most did not want much touching, but did always watch me and acknowledge their thanks through their eyes and taking care of the rodents.

We have feral kitties in our large garage and small barn. We fill their 25 lb feeder when necessary and it routinely empties – I can’t tell you how many there are, but I hope we are able to continue as long as there is one. We have TNRd the majority – but not all. ❤️

That’s the thing I love about posting gthese pictures, dear Truli…I know they will speak to someone who has a story to share. I love yours, because we had one as well…a long haired ginger female in Wales who simply showed up from parts inknown, stayed with us for a while, produced two litters by her rough looking paramour Buster…then as suddenly as she arrived, disappeared (with him as we always suspected but never knew….that’s the story we told ourselves anyway. It made our worrying easier and our missing more bearable.)😘😼
Beautiful cat. My barn cats used to climb in the hay feeders or the corner feeders in the stalls. I also was forever checking the feeders for eggs as well. Some used the nesting boxes and some preferred the feeders. My grandsons loved searching for the eggs in the barn every morning, and they were like dyed Easter eggs, brown, pink, and various shades of blue and green, mostly Americana chicken breeds.
I cherish the memories.
My sister in law in Wales, now down to four free range chickens on her small property, could have used your grandsons for egg hunting, Pat.At one time she had 20-25. And they would lay their eggs whenever the mood took them….and wherever!
She has stables, had carriages, equipment, and LOTS of places these chickens had the run of. So it was not the work of a moment to look for these eggs 😂
And now my you get daughter in Magnolia has a property which she has dedicated to wildlife (behind her house) including chickens, the care and feeding of which has fallen to her triplets plus one. I can’t think of a more wonderful way to rear children than to introduce them to the joys of animals, fowl, wildlife. Such a marvelous education which they cannot get in what passes for “school” these days.
You are rich with your memories, dearest friend. Bet you can see them dying those eggs as clearly today as they were then. Treasures which will never lose their worth and just become more valuable the older we (and they) get. Lovely 💕

If there were any illustrations in your copy of “Millions of Cats” which scared and scarred you, I can well imagine Wain’s art in it.

I have always had a soft spot for calico cats! this one reminds me of “Patches” a calico that showed up in my barn, promptly had a pure white kitten with orange markings like a Siamese, a calico and one that looked a lot like a fluffy Siamese. Of course I kept them all, had them fixed and they hung around my big garage and, on occasion, the barn. Patches was the best mouser and very friendly and lovable, as was her kittens.” She lived a long time. One of the nicest and best cats to ever show up at the ranch.

My first cat was a calico, Pat. Long haired and sweet. And like your Patches, she (they’re always girls if memory serves) she chose our door in a multi ground floor group of apartments. I so loved that kitty…and that’s what I named her. Kitty, because it was easy to call her. Her end after we moved from Dallas to San Antonio was terrible. The first loss in my then young lofe, and I cried for a long time after. I know she’s God’s cat now, licking that star dust off her fur…a vision which when I remember her is very comforting.

Betsy, that top photo could be Bobby and Pumpkin when they were younger. They have since lost some of their tawny coloring and have gotten darker. They are both quite long legged like this feline though.

I took a 1 semester photography class in college
When making a black-and-white print on photographic paper, you can get those deep, dark grays by underexposing the paper (shining the negative on it for briefer durations)
I leaned that way in my prints and I believe that’s part of what attracts us to that image

Hi Betsy. Beau does not care what it is doing weather wise. He will go out in any horrid weather. I just keep old towels by the door to dry him off and wipe the mud off his feet. Although, when it is really raining hard, he will do his business rather quickly!
I’ll just clean up the floors when it dries up outside. No sense trying to do it while there is all these puddles and mud around.

COMMENTARY FOR EPHESIANS 5
Exhortation to brotherly love. (1,2) Cautions against several sins. (3-14) Directions to a contrary behaviour, and to relative duties. (15-21) The duties of wives and husbands are enforced by the spiritual relation between Christ and the church. (22-33)
22-33 The duty of wives is, submission to their husbands in the Lord, which includes honouring and obeying them, from a principle of love to them. The duty of husbands is to love their wives. The love of Christ to the church is an example, which is sincere, pure, and constant, notwithstanding her failures. Christ gave himself for the church, that he might sanctify it in this world, and glorify it in the next, that he might bestow on all his members a principle of holiness, and deliver them from the guilt, the pollution, and the dominion of sin, by those influences of the Holy Spirit, of which baptismal water was the outward sign. The church and believers will not be without spot or wrinkle till they come to glory. But those only who are sanctified now, shall be glorified hereafter. The words of Adam, mentioned by the apostle, are spoken literally of marriage; but they have also a hidden sense in them, relating to the union between Christ and his church. Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
