I’d like to point out the SAVE act voter registration is not different than getting the REAL drivers license. (Married and divorced women have no problem getting them.)
We must wake up the Republicans in the Senate to do what it takes to pass this bill.

You seem to be assuming the Rs might want to pass this.
The challenge with that is most states charge a fee for IDs. They are revenue generators. I realize that a lot of goobers don’t think about this, but how are you going to make the process of obtaining an ID fair and equitable for everyone? Suddenly this becomes a voting tax.
It will never happen unless every state agrees to just give IDs away, which will never happen.
How do people get any IDs that they need for all kinds of things. They pay for some, get others free. States can make voter IDs free if they want to. Your argument is weak. People can get IDs, will get IDs and they do it all the time. already.

Approx because some counties tack on fees increasing the cost.
I think there is a minimal charge for a state ID which does not confer driving privileges.

If it is a Real ID driver’s license or identification card it is $48 in Florida. A regular ID only is $25 good for eight years.

True but my point is that showing a birth certificate for voter registration not different than REAL ID. The voter registration is free, hence no “tax.”
I realize a lot of retards think that a lot of people don’t have IDs, but the fact of the matter is that almost all LEGAL CITIZENS of America do in fact have IDs. They also pay sales tax, income tax, and various other fees – as well as buy hundreds and thousand dollar cell phones and pay for cell phone service. If they don’t wish to fork out the money for an ID, then that’s on them.
As a side note – most states or local police departments offer free IDs based upon income.
My husband no longer qualifies for a DL due to vision issues, so we got him a State ID. Everywhere we have gone
it serves the same purpose.
If the federal government requires a real ID, then just reimburse the states for any cost rather than charge the citizen. We waste tax $ in the billions on illegals but I would support this approach. Do it initially via executive order if necessary.

May be a dumb question, but if you require voter l.D. For some voters, but not for others, for whatever reason, then would that not be unconstitutional? Seems that would not satisfy the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment.
So, if that’s the case, then requiring voter I.D. to vote would be moot. If one group is not required to have an I.D. then no one should be required to have an I.D.

So, was Bondi dumb enough to allow Congress to read the Epstein Files with no restrictions??? The answer is likely yes but it would be interesting to hear, especially after Judges had been blocking release of materials and the related law passed by congress to mandate release of the files included safeguards for the innocent and victims.
A law suit would answer that question because if this stunt, by Massie and Khanna, violates any restrictions then the Speech and Debate Clause protecting congress critters would not apply.
A law suit would also test how far the Speech and Debate clause actually can be stretched to protect Congress Critters making unsubstantiated and slanderous remarks in public. In addition it would also test the limits of “official duties” as this stunt is not connected to anything related to “official business of congress nor congressional office”.
This stunt may have even violated the restrictions in the very law passed by congress which mandated the release of the files … but with safe guards for the victims as well as any innocents named.
There has to be a waiting line of lawyers who take this case pro-bono or on contingency to sue Massie and Khanna.
