Not my usual playful post about Treehouse Culture … This is a song about God’s mercy, forgiveness and redemption which is hauntingly beautiful and perfect for Sunday contemplation. Starts and ends with a moody quietness like a still small voice, then goes into a Celtic / Appalachian-sounding musical flair of Christian country bluegrass. The Class was known as “The class the stars fell on” out of the 164 cadets 59 would go on to receive the general officer rank.
Ike and Omar Bradley would become 5-star Generals. Ike would later become our 34th POTUS while Bradley became the first Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
The rest of the class would include 2 four-star Generals, 7 Lt. Generals, 24 Maj. Generals, and 24 Brig. Generals. No class before or since has had as many Generals as the class of 1915.

For well over 100 years West Point cadets have taken a “staff ride” to walk the field and study the Battle of Gettysburg and it continues to this day. Last time I was there, they were there, not in their grays, but in BDUs.
Out of that class only 3 were KIA during WW I and none during WW II.
Additionally during WW 1
3- died of disease
2- died in aircraft crashes
2- died in vehicle accidents.
This doesn’t have school or year graduated, but it does include cause of death. Lots of airplane accidents. Slipping off a balcony? How drunk was he?
But a goodly number of generals and admirals were lost to enemy action too.

COMMENTARY FOR MATTHEW 11
Christ’s preaching. (1) Christ’s answer to John’s disciples. (2-6) Christ’s testimony to John the Baptist. (7-15) The perverseness of the Jews. (16-24) The gospel revealed to the simple. The heavy-laden invited. (25-30)1 Our Divine Redeemer never was weary of his labour of love; and we should not be weary of well-doing, for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
25-30 It becomes children to be grateful. When we come to God as a Father, we must remember that he is Lord of heaven and earth, which obliges us to come to him with reverence as to the sovereign Lord of all; yet with confidence, as one able to defend us from evil, and to supply us with all good. Our blessed Lord added a remarkable declaration, that the Father had delivered into his hands all power, authority, and judgment. We are indebted to Christ for all the revelation we have of God the Father’s will and love, ever since Adam sinned. Our Saviour has invited all that labour and are heavy-laden, to come unto him. In some senses all men are so. Worldly men burden themselves with fruitless cares for wealth and honours; the gay and the sensual labour in pursuit of pleasures; the slave of Satan and his own lusts, is the merest drudge on earth. They must learn of him all things, as to their comfort and obedience. He accepts the willing servant, however imperfect the services. Here we may find rest for our souls, and here only. Nor need we fear his yoke. His commandments are holy, just, and good. It requires self-denial, and exposes to difficulties, but this is abundantly repaid, even in this world, by inward peace and joy. It is a yoke that is lined with love. So powerful are the assistances he gives us, so suitable the encouragements, and so strong the consolations to be found in the way of duty, that we may truly say, it is a yoke of pleasantness. The way of duty is the way of rest. The truths Christ teaches are such as we may venture our souls upon. Such is the Redeemer’s mercy; and why should the labouring and burdened sinner seek for rest from any other quarter? Let us come to him daily, for deliverance from wrath and guilt, from sin and Satan, from all our cares, fears, and sorrows. But forced obedience, far from being easy and light, is a heavy burden. WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Swiffer wet mop with one of the pet odor eliminating cleaning bottles installed is a great thing to have for the hard surfaces. For carpet or rugs we have one of those hand carry Bissell spot cleaners for pet messes. Pooph is also a great thing to have.

Nope – still rather clean up after than step in with bare feet. And…..I use that Swiffer with Bissell’s hard floor cleaner for pets. It works great in our robot vacuum/wet mop too. (I have a larger assortment of floor cleaning tools than a department store!)
Ah well, your talking to a guy that once slept for several days on a pile of dried porcupine shit!
Wearing socks and stepping in cold dog pee on a cold tile floor in the dark on the way to the loo in the middle of the night ain’t no fun, neither.

Lucky you! I was left a little package of yuk – but spied it prior to the fateful step. With 8 kitties (4 of them are 16 – 18 y/o) and two pups, it’s almost a given that some “biological” or another will be deposited overnight. On occasion, there is something I call the trifecta – you will need to use your imagination for the definition! 😁
We hear a lot about west Europeans and Canadians hating the US.
How much has Western Europe relied on the US for their defense?
It’s a fact that the number of tanks in the Greek army is greater than that of England, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium, and the Netherlands combined. (Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxembourg have NONE)
The UK has about 220 that are actually operational, with perhaps another 66 being robbed for parts.
France has 222 operational with another 184 in storage = 406
Germany has 296
Total = 988 at the very best and more likely 738 actually operational.
Greek Army total= 1,344 operational.

The US Army has between 4,600 and 4,700 M1 Abrams tanks with 3,500 operational at any time.

Thanks for posting these moving videos, David. Recently, an American gun magazine commented that even if they actually had a firearm, private citizens in Israel at the time were only allowed to have 50 rounds of ammo.
When the Hamas fighters attacked, the Kibbutz inhabitants—even if they were armed— would expend those 50 rounds rather quickly.
How much ammo did they actually need in such a violent attack? Most American estimates suggest at least 1000 rounds per gun along with multiple high capacity loaded magazines for each.
As a US citizen and specially as a Texan it will be hard for you to grasp. It’s also hard for me.
But this is true. 50 rounds limit. No long weapons at all. The Standby units at the sensitive locations do have a standby units and long weapons at storage with more munitions.
On 10/7 there was a problem to reach the storages. In some cases the storages were taken by terrorists. In some cases they had Intel on where to go because of Arabs who worked there. In some locations they just flooded the streets. Very few get license to keep a long weapons at home. Maybe some who are a part of the security forces. Even in storage there was shortage in guns and munitions. There were a few exceptions who were better prepared and experienced warriors and saved their towns.
And don’t under estimate the terrorists. Leading the assault were the Nukhba Units who are their elite units who are holding weapons since childhood. And they were armed with RPGS and a lot of things that gave them advantage.
While the whole thing needs a serious investigation and a change, it is not done yet. The Interior Minister is all for giving out guns and there are hundreds of % improvements but there is a way to go. Some very sensitive locations now have a lot of long weapons and some even drones and machine guns.
But even if you live in the West Bank and at a daily risk you can’t have a long weapons aside for unique cases. Or at the collective storage of the standby unit of your town.
If you live in Tel Aviv and have a background in a combat unit you still can’t get any weapon at all. Not even a pistol. You need to prove that you need it for work or travel etc… and if you don’t have a background of using weapons at above basic level then forget about it.
I know it is crazy but there is only one America and Israel got a lot to learn.
If you want me to go even crazier then some towns which got massacred on 10/7 had the IDF take away some of their long weapons. There is fear that it will get stolen by arabs.
The whole defense concept was that the civilians only need to hold the fort for minutes until the Military arrives.
Nobody thought in terms of thousands of terrorists. There is no precedence. This is also need to be investigated because Israel knew that they plan something of this nature but arrogance and counting on fences and electronics blinded the people. I know it sounds like a conspiracy but it isn’t. I can hope to see a real investigation. As of now the left who own the legal system is trying to appoint the investigation and the government opposes them as if the left gets their people they will not come up with the truth. It will be political.
The only reason you see many guns in Israel is that there is a very large military in proportion to the population.

Oh Donna… I’m *So Sorry* – nothing is as Heartbreaking as losing a child, except maybe having one murdered by malevolence or abject apathy. I cannot even imagine losing a Grandbaby.
My neighbor only realized how one of her babies died – she was told “SIDS” – when I asked her to put together her baby’s demise with her Vx record. She would’ve been somewhere in her late 20s when she realized.
I advise all young Mothers to interview a lot of Midwives until they find one who fits their family values and *feels simpatico*; you’ll know when you find her; remember… out-of-hospital birthing is by far safest statistically.
She won’t send you to a hospital/ obstetric surgeon unless one is required to actually save a life.
Midwives (who are not nurses first) are experts in normal childbirth, and experts at keeping birth normal.
Midwives don’t set fires just so they can put them out the way ConMed surgeons & hospitals do.
The US has incredibly high maternal & infant mortality & morbidity rates – in fact we rank last place of all developed nations, and below some developing nations

I have been plagued by malware alarms and blocks from my security software for the past week. It has kept me from reading several posts. I use The Old Reader and when I click through to the post, it usually opens the page, then quickly closes and blocks it with a malware warning. Not sure where the problem lies but I thought I’d let you know.
I’ve been having a problem also. My screen will close and go to a security warning and scan. I usually have to shut down and reboot. It happens only on this site and after about a half hour of reading and scrolling it goes away. Frustrating to say the least.

So in the Spirit of always trying to find a way to *fight back* against evil – a friend of mine and I are starting a mission to send care packages to homeless shelters of phone blocks and chargers.
The only way we have been able to find Savannah was because her location access is “on” on one of her social media platforms. Our friend, Margaret, can use it to track her. When I last saw Savannah, her phone had been off for fourteen hours and she seemed to be having problems with her cord and charger. Fortunately, GOD laid it on my heart to bring a spare block and charger.
With all the heartache – it’s hard to see how to FIGHT BACK. Well, we have found ONE SMALL WAY, which is to try to keep the homeless connected to those who love them. We have sent 35 sets of Android and iPhone chargers to our Wheeler Mission Men’s Shelter and another package today to our Women and Children’s shelter – to try to keep our homeless connected to those who love them.

Yes, it was social media that overtook her and she is under the most egregious mind control of these predators – but that which is used as a weapon against us, can be turned for God’s Glory and for our ultimate good. Romans 8:28 – All things (good and bad) work for the good of those who love Him and who are called according to His Purpose.
Adopt a shelter. Help them. Do this in memory of my daughter, Savannah, and let’s pray she is released from her mental prison.

This is the *second affirmation* of dreams. I have been talking with the Lord that I am going to be the relentless widow who pesters the judge until justice is given. (Luke 18:1-8) On a really difficult evening, with torrential rain downpouring, I cried out to The Lord that I NEEDED TO HEAR from my daughter. I was able to talk to her that evening.
It was not deliverance from this journey – but it was something – and I was grateful to God for it. He loves her more than I do.
