National race antagonist, Don Lemon, a former CNN anchor, was arrested last night in Los Angeles. Lemon’s arrest comes after he helped organize and coordinate a group of agitators to attack a church service in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Mr Lemon has said he was reporting as a journalist when he entered the Cities Church on January 18. However, video evidence shows he was working in conjunction with the group of anarchists who entered the church to terrorize the worshippers. The antagonistic group claimed the church’s pastor worked for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and therefore was selected as the target for their attack.
Attorney General Pam Bondi released the following statement via X: “At my direction, early this morning federal agents arrested Don Lemon, Trahern Jeen Crews, Georgia Fort, and Jamael Lydell Lundy, in connection with the coordinated attack on Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota. More details soon.”
Don Lemon’s lawyer Abbe Lowell, another man of radical disposition, released a statement saying Lemon was taken into custody by federal agents in Los Angeles, where he was covering the Grammy awards. “Don has been a journalist for 30 years, and his constitutionally protected work in Minneapolis was no different than what he has always done,” he added. “Don will fight these charges vigorously and thoroughly in court.”

Despite the indictment by grand jury, this case still needs to get past pre-trial motions and hearings. Expect this to get thrown out on first amendment grounds, even though it should not. If that doesn’t happen, expect the federal judge in the bench trial or the federal jury to toss it at trial.

Yes, our corrupt justice system is rigged against us. But I think in this case the DOJ has so many minutes of video in Don Lemon’s own words that pretrial motions will fail. This includes his defensive post later in the day when he realized just how guilty he looked, particularly once the videos of crying children and parishioners came out.

There were 8 independent journalists indicted and some convicted for being at Jan. 6th. Steve Baker was one and Owen Shroyer. They gave Owen 6 mos in jail. Not sure what happened with Baker but they had the guns out for Baker. I think Owen ended up doing 60 days in jail.

Either Don Lemon gets convicted of violating the FACE Act (18 USC 248) or a leftist court risks creating a legal precedent that the FACE Act does not apply to journalists.
I think the same logic also would apply to a leftist jury. A good prosecutor should be able to remind the jury that the FACE Act applies to both abortion clinics and to churches as well as the downstream consequences a not guilty verdict would have on providers of reproductive health services, aka abortion clinics.
The left may not care about a person’s right to exercise their religious freedom by worshiping in a church but they do care about protecting their clinics.

I’m dubious as to how this will play out. I sure hope Lemon drop gets convicted of something. It’s been pointed out that several actual journalists had the book thrown at them for taking part in the J6 “insurrection,” when they contributed nothing to whatever wrongdoing, and were in a far more public space than a church. If a journalist came into my church uninvited for any reason other than to participate, they would be asked to leave and arrested if they didn’t. Lemon drop was part of the mob, no question; he just put on his journalism hat in the interest of CYA. If this is allowed to stand, you’ll see a flood of antifa types ginning up some “journalist” credentials and causing disruptions and taking part in mob actions. For a point of contrast….. Several years ago a local TV station in Huntsville, Al was doing a story on local churches/religion. They interviewed on of our elders. They ASKED permission to come into the assembly before services and film from the back of the room as unobtrusively as possible. Our Elders agreed to let them, as we had nothing to hide. We only asked that their equipment was not overly noisy and didn’t disturb. We never knew they were there unless we looked.
Note the contrast in the approaches. There are ways to do things and ways NOT to do things.
