On another point, have you noticed the more stereotypically MAGA the poster’s name the more likely they are to be FUDer’s, the latest being ‘Eagle Valor’. It’s as though their handlers have instructed them (everything Leftist is organised, inauthentic and never spontaneous) to create these names believing they’ll fit in seamlessly and not be noticed. Reminds of Chinese companies trying to hide their origins on Amazon, by calling themselves ‘Monarch’, or ‘Windsor’ with a UK shipping address.

Most of his opponents would struggle to spell the word without spell check, though they’d lie and claim they’d read it. He sent the Border Patrol back to work on the border and leave it to ICE to do the interior. Up until Noem being appointed, that was traditionally the policy.
Noem appointed a hard-nosed guy to lead Border Patrol in MN, which was a change. Apparently some ICE people were not happy with this (he was hard-nosed and didn’t have an ICE background).
Contrary to President Trump capitulating, the shooting and the demands to remove “ICE” is an instance in which two “wants” collided.
First, President Trump always does what he wants to do. From reading various articles, he was not happy with Noem moving to bring Border Patrol into the traditional role of ICE, which is to work in the interior. So he stopped her from doing that. Tom Horman also didn’t like Border Patrol in the interior. He and Noem were at odds.
Second, as part of their warfare against the President, everyone screamed to get ICE out of MN (although it was Border Patrol who shot the guy).
President Trump could have refused to move anyone out, but he didn’t care for Noem having Border Patrol in the interior in high profile. This put him in agreement with Horman.So once again he did what he wanted, which was to send them to focus on the border.. That also bought him some time and good will from normies. So win-win.
Note: I do not know if some Border Patrol people are still in MN. My point is that as a policy President Trump said Noem needs to focus on the border and let ICE do the interior. In other words there could be reasons for some Border Patrol there still, but that is separate from President Trump making his policy of ICE does the interior.
I wasn’t aware of all this background when the shooting happened and thought ICE did the shooting. From various comments some others seemed to have confused Border Patrol and ICE as well. But the difference matters to the President and Horman.
The key to keep in mind when President Trump acts is to know he always does what he wants. The one exception was 2020 because they had him boxed in (Judas vice president). But he came back with a roar.

I read a few different articles from Daily Mail and can’t remember the specific other sources — all in the last couple of days. If you search the topic I think you’ll find info. FYI, I agree Daily Mail is a bad sources, but unfortunately we don’t have a media. More might have been published on this topic (decision) by now.
If you don’t like this, ignore it. Who knows what’s true or not, but it makes sense to me. The underlying problem for President Trump was Tom Horman and Noem not being in sync. What added to me thinking this background has merit is Tom Horman seemed pleased with the decision. If you search, you can find articles on the Noem/Horman riff.
ICE has about 4,000 agents while Border Patrol has 20,000. The border is secure so using the BP for interior removal makes perfect sense. They have nothing to do at the border.
The problem is the FBI and US Attorney in Minneapolis have done nothing to protect ICE and arrest the ANTIFA anarchists! 🫡
I agree there are several issues and problems involved. The whole effort of getting illegals out is very complex. What I commented is a way to get a handle on President Trump’s thinking about this one particular decision. He lives in a world of complexity that is above most of our abilities to comprehend.

I think a revisit to the Mar A Lago flag pool story may be beneficial at this point in the conversation.
Trump put up a tall flag pole (50 ft, I believe) and flew a very large flag. City officials were not happy and began fining him a $1000 per day until he took it down. The standoff lasted 90 days until Trump offered a compromise where he would pay $90,000 to a charity and replace the flag pole with a shorter one (30 ft, I believe). The city agreed to the compromise. Trump subsequently built a 20 foot mound upon which he placed the new 30 foot pole. Although technically being a shorter pole, the flag still flies 50 ft above ground.
Trump may indeed remove ICE resources, but he has not said what he will be replacing them with. Odds are they will be replaced with military, which will be a lot harder to obstruct. The FO part is coming. It is not in Trump’s DNA to back down.
Of course, those of us paying attention could see this coming ever since Minnesota entered the news cycle with the day care fraud story. The fraud story is not about the Samolians, but about government corruption.

I’m with you. President Trump is not only doing the deportations, but he has to work with what he has and apparently within the Dept. of Homeland Security there are divisions, and then a new player is Noem with her ideas. He’s trying to grow the whole department and at the same time achieve the deportations. I don’t think he’s trying to throw anyone under the bus. That’s just one example of the massive bureaucracy he’s working to shift and grow. And he needs Homan and ICE at this point. (J don’t know why I kept writing Horman above. 😃)
President Trump is committed to deportations. Like everything else, it is harder than first imagined because the evil is so deep. Up until now we haven’t realized that a significant portion of the population is so far gone. The years at least since Clinton have taken a huge toll.

On 1/18/26 Alpha News ran an article that opens up the issues regarding the fraud here. What the article (and for background you need to follow back to an earlier report, linked in that article, that gives more background on the whistleblower) explains is that in essence, the big fraud in Minnesota is NOT the Somalis. The big fraud has been a conspiracy between the state government and the 4 HMOS, to defraud the US of billions of dollars, going back decades.
The Somalis just showed up and as pirates recognized that these are easy waters to work. They’ve been getting the table scraps from the real fraud. I wonder how they’re reacting now as that sets in? I wonder how many of them are running their mouths to the Federal investigators because they’re just now realizing that they’ve been getting a tiny fraction of the loot when they thought they were captains of the pirate ships?

He was fired because he began asking questions about why the four HMOs in Minnesota were making so much money off the state’s Medicaid program.
When he was fired, he was offered $150,000 to remain silent.
He refused the money.
And David Feinwachs is now speaking out.
“Early in 2010, the board of the hospital association established as one of their priorities trying to achieve some measure of transparency and accountability in the state’s Medicaid program,” Feinwachs told Corporate Crime Reporter in an interview last week. “Hospitals in Minnesota were being reimbursed at about 27 percent below their costs. And no one could seem to understand why it appeared that such an enormous amount of money, billions of dollars a year, were being poured into these programs, but providers were being paid so little and so poorly.”

Four HMOs in Minnesota — Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota, Medica, Health Partners, and UCare — dominate the health insurance market.
“I found out that the HMO vendors to these Medicaid programs made five times more money managing public healthcare programs for the state than they did selling commercial insurance products to healthy working people,” Feinwachs said. “They reported their profitability by line of business. And those figures struck me as astounding – in fact, nearly impossible. That’s one thing I found out.”
“I also found out while all the health care providers – all of them – lost on every kind of public health care program and of course lost on them in the aggregate, the HMOs or the health plans, profited in the aggregate.”
Feinwachs believes fraud is involved.
“Right before I was fired in August 2010, I was asked to participate in a conference call with a person who worked for our Department of Human Services,” Feinwachs says. “The hospital association had hired a consultant. And the recommendation of the consultant was that within the Medicaid structure, there are things called intergovernmental transfers – ITTs – certified public expenditures – CPEs. And these are tactics where you can put up money to increase federal matching dollars.”
“They involve things like imposing a provider tax and then the federal government matches the amount that is taxed. Or paying public hospitals a higher rate, which the federal government matches and then the higher rate is infused back into the whole system. These are unsavory tactics. But they are legal tactics. The government is aware of them. The government doesn’t love them. But they occur every day.”
“The consultant recommended that Minnesota should do this because — you are not doing any of this and you are missing an opportunity. A conference call was scheduled to discuss the reluctance. Every now and again, I count myself fortunate to run across a gem of an essay.
This one took me by surprise, a short retrospective of the music of Richard Rogers and his collaboration with Oscar Hammerstein’s lyrics, to give us the musicals which are long forgotten and shelved.
It inspired me to listen to a few of their works this morning. And suddenly I was transported from the ugliness of the moments we are having to endure to halcyon days which generations after never experienced.
I am grateful for having stumbled across this reminder of the times that were. And though not perfect with their own concerns and geopolitical disturbances, were a whole lot sweeter.
Kierkegaard wrote that “Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards”…which is true enough.
But I am choosing to pause today to remember. I call such memories ” mental cocktails”; and I invite anyone so inclined to join me to raise a toast to two men who left a rich legacy which, alas, has been forgotten.
So I leave this beautiful essay and one lovely example of the works Rogers and Hammerstein bequeathed to an America in desperate need of becoming reacquainted.
