I believe that parents should receive a stipend for home schooling. Of course there would need to be stringent guidelines but I think many would opt to have a parent at home. I think whatever they normally pay per student in that state. Imagine how much better life would be all round and lefties, think of the pollution that would be gone. The education department could do something useful like a library of accepted classes and testing standards. Win, win.

When Pritti decided to go down to the “protest” and got dressed he had to decide what he was going to take with him.
He took a phone for communication and I think he had a camera to record the situation. He also decided to strap on his gun as well.
What was his motive to take a gun with him-
I expect he didn’t carry his gun every day like to work or go out to a restaurant or just normal day to day activities.

Yup! I conceal carry when leaving the house. I can no longer run so flight is not an option for me. But I do go to the gun range once a week to practice. I know how to disassemble, clean and reassemble every gun I own. I pray I never have to use it for life saving defense! I live in Texas and I’m surprised how many men don’t carry!

Of course. I.D. is essential.
If you are stopped while driving, your tags will be run and the officer will already know you are a CC permittee. The databases are now pretty comprehensive.
They will know who should be in the vehicle they stopped. I.D. confirms it.
I always carry when I travel. And usually have 3 magazines.
I sometimes travel near the Rio Grande in Texas to inspect dams. It is imperative to carry a weapon on you when outside your vehicle.
In those instances, the pistol is just a tool to let you get back to your truck to leave the area ASAP. Sometimes I carry an AR-15. Hope to never use the pistol or carbine on a human.
In most parts of Texas, wild hogs are a bigger threat than humans. Better be a good shot or able to clamber up a tree out of tusk slashing range.

I carry for my own protection and for those around me. I have experienced personal violence. I am professionally trained and I practice. Alabama no longer requires a permit for concealed carry but I keep my permit up to date anyway. I’ve had 2 traffic stops in 15yrs. Both times I informed the officer I had a loaded weapon in my car and asked if they wished to take possession of it during the stop. One did. One didn’t and thanked me for sharing. No probs. I’m not dumb enough to get in a scuffle with the law.

A wound does not stop an aggressor coming at you full bore with a bloodstream full of meth. This is why a .22 caliber isn’t much good for defense. Great at wounds but no stopping power. A bullet fired in defense must have a mass large enough that when it hits, the aggressor stops.

There are some assumptions there. I carry 24/7. If I’m asleep, I can get it in less than 2 seconds. Too many situations where I thought I might need it and it was not going to do me any good in another room or out in my car.

LEO’S often have ankle or boot holsters for smaller backup pistols.
Many people carry knives: big folders, neck knives, pocket carry fixed blades, etc.
I would never be anywhere without a knife. It’s a basic tool.
Eagle61, in 2012 a Mobile police officer was stabbed and killed in the sally port of the police station with a knife concealed in a necklace medallion the perp was wearing.
The perp then grabbed the officers keys, jumped in the patrol car, crashed thru the sally port door and fled. He was later captured.

The training these special units go through simulates these type of events is as realistic as possible. Before retirement, my colleagues and I used to transport inmates. We were lucky enough to get invited to a virtual reality training with a special unit . Different scenarios were presented, shoot or don’t shoot, with you using a laser pistol. A kid with what I thought was a toy gun plugged me. Even in what would be legally considered a “good shooting” is ruinous to the officer and his family too. Having to take another’s life is not normal.
Most LEO’s never have to shoot their weapons. Think about that. How many tens of thousands of LEOs are out there every day, doing their jobs, and the vast majority of them will retire without ever having discharged their weapons on the job.
When suspects get shot it’s not because the LEO is a cowboy. It’s because the suspect used deadly physical force (intentional or not doesn’t matter) and therefore had it coming to him.
Either you go home to see your family or you do not. It’s a split second choice that, thankfully, the vast majority of LEOs will never have to make, because the vast majority of people are not stupid enough to attack them in the line of duty.
Police Officers qualify on the Range semi annually, quarterly or annually. They recertify with all of their weapons and equipment. It’s cool that you stand up for cops but most cops are proficient with their weapons.

I was personally involved with one of these SIG pistols discharging on its own. The person was injured because of it. SIG settled out of court so I did not have to testify. Some reports are saying this pistol went off without the trigger pull during the fight. It is a big IF but if that is the case SIG will finally pay the price. The company has been stonewalling on this unsafe pistol for years.
In California, you cannot sell early generation Glocks due to the gangbanger switch device being prevalent making them full auto. But cannot but newer generation Glocks that can’t be altered with switch because they violate other CA regulation. Lose lose situation so everyone is buying Sigs

In a highly charged environment, with multiple people involved, and a gun known to be in the mix, a law enforcement officer must make a split second judgment, which everyone else will get to critique in a frame by frame manner, from numerous angles, from the comfort of their couch!

The saddest thing about this is that the Republicans will work with the left to ensure their victory.
The United States is facing an existential threat. My guess is this summer will be the most violent, damaging domestic summer since the Civil War. And I predict the left will win and come out victorious on the other side. They will, after winning this new civil war, seek to eliminate the last vestiges of republicans.
I use a small r because while some Republicans are true republicans, most are not. And when the left wins the war, those RINOs are going to “work with” Democrats to create the illusion that America is still a republic, but it won’t be. They will use every tool available to silence dissent, take control over virtually every sector of American life, and they will implement rules so that America becomes a one-party nation.
Now I say all of this with the great hope that I am wrong, but I don’t think I will be.

This technique is effective because it asks permission to give them input. It’s about getting positive, or yes answers, rather than negative arguments. Sometimes you still get NO but the question should always be phrased to get a yes. If you can’t ask a question that gets a yes, at least ask it in an open ended way they can’t answer NO. After giving multiple yes’s people often feel you are on their side even though you are not.

I remember a long time ago, I was in Orlando with my family. We didn’t really want to stand in epic lines at the Mouse House, so we went over to Sea World and had a ball. We got back to the condo and were lectured by my lefty in-laws about mistreatment of the animals, and some PBS documentary we should have watched instead. (I genuinely felt like they were saying we were environmental sinners.)
Anyway, I ended their lecture by saying, “I don’t watch a lot of TV, especially PBS, and the whales all looked happy to me. Also, the roller coasters there are awesome.”

One of mine went to VCU decades ago, and married after graduation. They settled nearby and had kids. Richmond was charming and beautiful, Cary St was my favorite weekend stroll. The revitalization of Church Hill and the river warehouse district was incredible.
