The best way through this is to define viewpoints, not people, because people will shift as they change position and velocity in Trump gravity.

Trump is Jupiter moving through the asteroid belt. He is going to pull people into his orbit.
A few will get slung off into space, but most will come along for the ride of their lives.

Here is the game plan that the forces against Trump will be using for the foreseeable future.
They will attempt to get you to make the perfect the enemy of the good.
Be it the freedom clowns and spending, the immigration hawks with H1B visas, the peace doves with timing, the cultural warriors with total bans of DEI/CRT, the neocons with war fighting, or the swamp dwellers with draining the swamp.
All of them will attempt to get you to believe on whatever issue is the issue of the day that it doesn’t go far enough or do enough. They will try to make you think that some sub issue of that issue is more important and should be handled first, that since the issue hasn’t been handled yet it won’t be, that we can’t do more than one thing, that so and so is a plant to stop the draining of the swamp, or that because it wasn’t 100% Trump lied. On every single issue, one or more groups will attempt this strategy.
You can’t allow them that power over you. If Trump secures the border and deports 2 million, don’t allow them to reduce that good by them saying well he didn’t deport 2.5 million, so he failed or lied.
You can’t allow them to use the perfect to void out the good in the coming months.
They will try. They already have with the CR and the H1b visa debates. It works, that is why they use it. You have to keep it in the front of your head on everything about to occur that half a loaf or hopefully in most cases 7/8ths a loaf is better than no loaf.
Do not allow them to gaslight you into thinking the good is the enemy of the perfect.
In the real world, most things are never perfect, but if we try real hard, we can get plenty of good accomplished in the coming 4 years.
The purpose and goals of President Trump are plainly visible by his actions and consistent: He is for the benefit first of the common PEOPLE of this country, then of the PEOPLE in the rest of the world. It is validating, even to our battered conservative skepticism.
The methods of his leadership are amazing. I still don’t get HOW he does it, or HOW he is able to get so much momentum going, but every day the momentum is growing. Everyone and every organization has their eyes opened every day — just by watching him. Even those who hate him, are biased against him, and want to see him gone — cannot ignore him. He lives rent free in their head, and they come around to seeing the universal principles by which he is operating. He hammers actions based on truth from one direction, then another, and they cannot mount an organized opposition against him.
President Trump is transparent in his words and actions. He is consistent in what he says, what he does, and what he asks/demands of others. His promises are bold and he keeps them like no other president has. He is making massive, nearly overnight changes, not only in our country, but in the world. It is amazing that he is able to accomplish so much when there are so many snakes in the grass. This term, he is weeding them out faster. No U.S. president has ever faced so much organized resistance and treason than President Trump
He has chosen to use his intellect and every skill he has to do what is right. He has tremendous faith that he can make a difference in this world. He has a confidence and courage such that he doesn’t care what others think, yet a humility to know he has to do it with the help of like minded people. Those people are the “common” people, and he ridicules those who think they are not common.
He believes people are basically good. He believes that God is real. He believes that healthy people are happy people, and they need to be able to create wealth freely for their labor, and have the freedom to spend their money on what is good for them.
He believes the United States, with its Constitutional Republic, is the best environment in the world to enable and give opportunity for people to be happy and prosperous.
He believes that we can be a light for the world, but we must demand that the rest of the world respect us and our right to life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of happiness.
He believes the enemy of our country are the stupid, greedy American people who have been selfishly taking advantage of this country; who betrayed the trust and obedience of its people; and who diverted the people’s wealth for their own selfish gain, at the expense of the principles of this country. He’s not going to allow that anymore.
He has cultivated and focused the family of MAGA. Identifying those people whose goodness, industriousness, trust, and obedience have been taken advantage of and abused. He has opened our eyes to this abuse, and the rights of freedom and self determination that have been quietly stolen from us.
He has rekindled the healthy distrust of government and men with too much power held by our founders. He has recultivated the desire to reclaim our freedoms and rights, and is empowering us with a hope and pathway to reclaim our spiritual and economic freedom.
He wants the US to be a light of hope on the hill for all people. He will negotiate win/win agreements with those nations and countries who respect us; who respect the principles and intent of our Constitution. If you do not respect us, however, we are not going to let you take advantage of our goodness, or share in our wealth at our expense. If you as a nation are treating your people badly, you are going to be treated less favorably by us, until you show that you value your people as much as we value ours.
He is convincing those who are very wealthy (most of whom truly earned their money), that the best economic soil in which to build wealth is in a constitutional republic, which supports the ability of the common man to earn wealth in proportion to his efforts. The economic engine of the United States is the human spirit freed to enjoy the fruits of honest labor, and that engine has more natural and raw horsepower than any other governed economy.
The Trump Train seems to be remarkably aligned with universal principles of Truth, which reflect the will and design of our Creator, and are the best standard by which we should live. These same principles were what our country’s founders used to declare independence, and framed into the Constitution of this nation.
Our founders believed that a nation should preserve the right and freedom of an individual to seek, understand, and live by God’s principles. They believed that free individuals working together in humility would make a stronger nation than a government which dictates its will on the people. President Trump professes and seeks to lead and restore this nation back to these same principles.
These principles resonate deeply within all human beings, down to our DNA in every cell, in our spirits, and produce fruit that “miraculously” multiplies. Because we follow universal principles, we see the snowballing acceleration of momentum on day 371 of the 2nd term of this very stable genius in the history of the kingdoms of this world in the year of our Lord 2025.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Executive Associate Director (EAD) of ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Thomas D. Homan was one of three Department of Homeland Security (DHS) career executives who received a 2015 Presidential Rank Award for Distinguished Service, which is bestowed to leaders who’ve achieved sustained extraordinary results.
EAD Homan rose in his 31-year career in law enforcement from a police officer in New York, to the head of ERO in 2013. EAD Homan serves as first-in-command of ERO ― the ICE operational directorate charged with investigating, apprehending and removing criminal aliens and immigration violators from the United States, as well as dismantling terrorist and criminal organizations that exploit our borders and lawful immigration system.
EAD Homan’s leadership was tried and proven exemplary during unanticipated and severe challenges in immigration enforcement. EAD Homan directed his work force of nearly 8,000 (approximately 6,000 of whom are law enforcement officers) and managed an operating budget of more than $3 billion during a time of exceptional ERO growth, unchartered immigration enforcement territory and reduced resources.
EAD Homan’s combined knowledge and experience, including his police force background and 30 years of immigration enforcement expertise, resulted in his decisive and sound executive leadership. EAD Homan led efforts to ensure community safety. He marshalled efforts to handle the surge of unaccompanied children and family units from Central America who illegally entered the United States from across the Texas Rio Grande Valley. He spearheaded the management and reform of the largest civil detention system in the nation.
ERO’s extensive accomplishments under the helm of EAD Homan have been impressive and wide-reaching in scope.
In Fiscal Year (FY) 2013, ERO completed full nationwide deployment of an original automated federal biometric information sharing capability that resulted in the removal of more than 325,000 criminal aliens, of which 40 percent were convicted of an aggravated felony or multiple felonies.
In FY 2014, ERO removed nearly 316,000 individuals from the United States. An astounding 98 percent of these removals fell within one of ICE’s stated enforcement priorities. Nearly 56 percent, or 177,960 of those removed, were convicted criminal aliens. (To put these numbers in perspective, the amount of criminal aliens removed from U.S. communities in FY 2014 would fill the Dallas Cowboy’s Stadium to capacity more than two times over. This success directly impacted public safety.)
In the three years that EAD Homan has been at the helm, ERO has removed more than 920,000 aliens from the United States. In that same time frame, ERO arrested and removed 534,000 criminal aliens. These accomplishments have a direct impact on national security and public safety.
Our communities are safer because of those accomplishments.
During the historic surge of unaccompanied children (UAC) across the Southwest border in 2014, EAD Homan led ERO’s response to the crisis through major staffing redeployments, innovative initiatives and other incident management strategies to facilitate the timely transfer of more than 55,000 UACs into custody the of the Office of Refugee Resettlement, an increase of 145 percent from FY 2013.
The Homeland Security Act of 2002 and the Trafficking Victims Protection Rehabilitation Act (TVPRA) of 2007 mandates that ICE transfer the custody of UACs to ORR within 72 hours, and EAD Homan worked tirelessly to ensure ERO complied with those laws.
Also in response to the unprecedented number of family units illegally crossing the border, EAD Homan successfully led expedited efforts to expand family detention capacity from 96 to more than 3,000 beds, an increase of more than 3,000 percent.
Several other agency records were established in FY 2015 under the direction of EAD Homan. Ninety-one percent of all interior arrests by ERO were aliens that had a criminal conviction― an agency record. Fifty-nine percent of all aliens removed from the U.S. by ERO were convicted criminals ― another agency record. And finally, a record 98 percent of FY 2015 removals met one or more of the civil immigration enforcement priorities, which constitutes a near perfect execution of the stated mission.
For all of these accomplishments and more, EAD Homan received the nation’s highest civil service award – the 2015 Presidential Rank Award. The president bestows this award each year to top career executive and senior professionals for consistently demonstrating strength, integrity and commitment to public service.”

As to your second bullet, the situation you refer to is framed with a good amount of biased simplicity as you left out the part about actively resisting instead of cooperating. Resisting detainment while armed significantly escalates the legal risk and can justify a higher level of force by ICE or other law enforcement agents.

The individual poses an imminent threat of death or serious bodily injury. The person is actively resisting arrest or attempting to flee. The subject is armed with a dangerous weapon and poses a threat.
Merely being a gun owner is not illegal, but resisting arrest while armed (e.g., refusing to comply, struggling, or brandishing a weapon) can be charged as a felony under federal law. (But I’m reasonably sure you didn’t ask the question in good faith and just went for a dig).
