I read somewhere that the fentanyl recipe has been tweaked to make the ‘supply’ go further…meaning its less lethal, for now.
As a diminimus minimal….i haven’t seen any adds for TEMU or other Chinese suppliers….trying to rip off Americans with cheap and inferior products.
Prohibition (1920-1933) shows that you have this principle exactly backwards. Curtailing the supply of alcohol did nothing to eliminate the demand, and bootleggers moved in to supply the alcoholic beverages in demand, and so making a *lot* of profit for themselves;
proving the futility of prohibition/ curtailing supply itself.
Demand is what brings a supply into being and/or makes a product profitable to supply;
as long as there is demand, somebody will find a way to profit from supplying what is in demand.
Why supply something nobody wants??? Supplying something nobody demands/wants is not a successful strategy for the supplier.
Eliminate demand, and the supply is no longer profitable; so profiting from supply is impossible.

Take away their drug-of-choice – whether substance or behavior – and they still *need it*; the demand persists.
Eliminate demand to dry up supply. The **availability/ supply of (any drug-of-choice) doesn’t create the demand OR the addiction** –
demand is created by (precipitating factors) and supply is then sought & money is exchanged for its gain –

The way to be successful in business is:

Fentanyl dealers don’t create the demand… they provide supply where the demand (by people in pain & desperation) exists first.

Everyone who invaded the church in Minnesota should be criminally prosecuted for all laws violated and personally sued individually by every member of the congregation.
This church disruption was a Civil Rights violation. It is both a criminal and civil offense under federal law.
The Department of Justice can prosecute AND demand monetary damages. It is not necessary for individuals to bring lawsuits for this. In fact, filing lawsuits is very expensive for individuals. This is the main reason the law allows monetary damages to be pursued by the federal government for such violations. Poor people have no resources to pay lawyers to sue for monetary damages for civil rights violations.
Yes it will go to a Minnesota federal district court with a liberal nut case judge who will dismiss the charges and throw the cases out of court.
Time to defund all District courts. The appellate courts with the new job of hearing the old district cases where three judges to hear every case and the supreme court.

I have seen that at Walmart and Home Depot, on line.
In the store, the shelf tags are looking like what we see with the electronic pricing here but still shows paper but if we get used to seeing the frame for the price, when it is switched to electronic pricing, we may not notice.
In 2020, while buying Keystone canned meats (excellent prepper supplies); I noticed that the pricing changed by a couple of dollars per can.
I had ordered a couple of cases and placed them in my basket. Before I could pay for the product, I was distracted by a call from a client.
When I came back, I added more product, but the unit pricing had changed.
I canceled the order and started over with another credit card. The pricing had returned to normal.
It may have just been an anamoly, but it was disturbing.
So this report does not surprise me at all.
The store was Walmart.
If there’s not a price sticker on every item, or at least on the shelf in front of it, don’t shop there. And then, examine your receipt carefully to make sure that you were actually charged what the sticker says. (Don’t assume.)
I do that and so far, no problems….My receipts are relatively small so I know what the receipt should say. Price tags require labor to a fix to products and we know how big business feels about labor workers….they want us working for free…

So this begs the further question about these big grocery chains….

A big portion of it along with waste, poor management and employee theft. Just a few of the reasons our costs are so high. In NC, grocery stores cannot donate cooked food to homeless shelters. I despise WMT but on routine purchases, its the best price.
I do have real life experience with Target online. I have a dye allergy and some other chem allergies. I require white clothing of a certain composition, bedding, towels (been dealing with this for a couple years plus now). I found a brand on clearance at Target and purchased 2. I then went back on reconsideration and went to order 2 more because off season white clothing is hard to find and I knew that it was something I could wear.
The “clearance” price online had gone up so I didn’t order but as I searched for the name brand and product description all resultant searches were the same price. The only difference was whether or not there was free shipping. Target, Walmart, Amazon, and a couple other retailers). What I had purchased for $20 each had become $29.99. I didn’t order but didn’t understand what happened. Now I think I do.
Because walk in retailers have lower inventory, my allergy issue most often means I can’t leave my phone at home and buy off the rack. Just for kicks however, I may try either my husband or mother’s cell phone for price comparison to see if this is happening on a product I require… unless anyone has any better ideas?
I didn’t realize what a messy cook I was until I needed to wear white clothing as close as I can get to 100 percent cotton. In this house, aprons and long sleeved men’s T-shirts to wear under regular blouses or sweaters have made a comeback.
I don’t use instacart. I am way to picky about what I buy, especially meat and produce. I imagine the store shoppers also get rid of the worst stuff that way.

I wish they would make it less boring and just use plain speak for the plebs. I know we have massive price gouging in NY whether online or in store. NY doesn’t care as long as they’re getting their tax money. They gave permission to stores to not accept bottle returns for 6 months during Covid. The State receives .05 per return, minus what the store gets for accepting them back. The Dollar General continued to refuse to accept returns for 3 years after. I called the department that enforces the law and they did nothing. Why should they. My local store finally got in trouble, but the next town over is still refusing to take them, 4 years now.
I go to the store physically and purchase my groceries. I have never used a delivery service. Why in the world would you want someone picking out meat full of fat, milk about to expire, any dairy products about to expire.
As for Home Depot, Lowe’s, et cetera, their prices online are going to be more because of shipping. Actually, sometimes they’re less.
Lesson of the day: If you’re able to, go to the store and purchase your products.

everything one needs and most things desired are available in perfect or excellent condition 2nd hand these days.
My Fiesta dinnerware enthusiasm is a good example of ‘a want not a need’ –
all made in USA is a key plus, so occasionally I will buy something new from their site (or other distributors’) *IF* it is on double sale and I can get free shipping/ local pick up; otherwise I find my treasure 2nd hand for pennies on the dollar.
Of course there are exceptions – I hope the price of tires drops before I have to replace mine… even ‘on sale’ this is eye-watering for anyone on a modest budget.
