A week after Parkland HS shooting, I happen to drive by my child’s middle school and saw virtually entire student body out front with signs. He texted back ‘school offered students choice – protesting 2A or stay in class to complete scheduled assignments’…. ‘But it wasn’t mandatory 😒 ’. He and a couple of others refrained from going but obviously they felt pressured and penalized.
To say I was angry would be severe understatement.
But gotta say – at the same time, I also could not have been more proud 🥲 .

Weep screed is a type of flashing installed at the bottom of a stucco wall and properly installed and maintained, will help protect the wall from moisture that could lead to mold.
At first I thought it might be an emotional and strident speech on-line, to the point of weeping and with a lot of CAPS and even different colors of fonts, taking up a lot of bandwith and even if some good points are made, it is called a screed by moderators.
But no, a weep screed pertains to stucco.
Out here in California we use a lot of stucco and you would think in the desert that there would not be a moisture problem but apparently it can get in there and do damage.
I was attempting to help my Mom a few years ago when the stucco on her perimeter wall was deteriorating in various spots and we bought some stuff at Home Depot to attempt to spiff up those little spots but I must have been doing it wrong as the stuff would not adhere and just fell off, looking pretty pathetic down there in the grass. We realized it was a bigger problem than realized and she called a stucco specialist who did the entire wall and then it looked so beautiful again.
