In the aggregate the majority of Minnesota residents support Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) efforts to capture and detain criminal illegal aliens. A narrow segment of hardcore leftists and professional activists are trying to keep the violence and chaos maintained, but as sunlight upon their operation continues they end up losing support.
Last night, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz appears on video begging the criminal activists to continue operations on the streets {VIDEO}, while criminal aliens keep trying to avoid capture.
BREAKING: DHS statement to Fox News: At 6:50 PM CT, federal law enforcement officers were conducting a targeted traffic stop in Minneapolis of an illegal alien from Venezuela who was released into the country by Joe Biden in 2022.
In an attempt to evade arrest, the subject fled the scene in his vehicle and crashed into a parked car. The subject then fled on foot.
The law enforcement officer caught up to the subject on foot and attempted to apprehend him when the subject began to resist and violently assault the officer. While the subject and law enforcement were in a struggle on the ground, two subjects came out of a nearby apartment and also attacked the law enforcement officer with a snow shovel and broom handle.
As the officer was being ambushed and attacked by the two individuals, the original subject got loose and began striking the officer with a shovel or broom stick.
Fearing for his life and safety as he was being ambushed by three individuals, the officer fired defensive shots to defend his life. The initial subject was hit in the leg.
All three subjects ran back into the apartment and barricaded themselves inside.
The attacked officer and subject are both in the hospital. Both attackers are in custody.
This attack on another brave member of law enforcement took place while Minnesota’s top leaders, Governor Walz and Mayor Frey, are actively encouraging an organized resistance to ICE and federal law enforcement officers.

I think you are conflating two distinct issues. Yes, the Somalis have perfected defrauding the government (both State and Federal money has been stolen) although when all is said and done I think we will find they weren’t alone. That said, I live in MN and haven’t seen any Somalis among the rioters. Why would they risk getting caught by ICE and being deported? They are making bank right now and don’t want that to be disrupted.
MN is a sanctuary state and each of the Twin Cities is a sanctuary city. They are run by hard core socialists (the majority of the Mpls city council are from the Demoncratic Socialist Party, the same on Mandami in New York City belongs to). It’s not a surprise that both Walz and Frey are supporting the rioters as that’s what their base demands. I was surprised that Walz made his address last night where he essentially declared war on ICE; that cannot be allowed to stand. I believe Walz and Frey would have responded this way regardless of the fraud, although assuredly that has poured some fuel on the fire.
The setup last night was perfect for the rioters; very, very bad part of town, given Mpls historically bad snow plowing the street was essentially down to a 1 lane road (so easy for the rioters to block). Also happened at night so really good visuals for the local news to broadcast (you can guess whose side they took). ICE is going to need the ability to be able disable and rapidly tow the cars being used to block them in. Ideally those cars get forfeited by their drivers (or at least locked up for a very long time). Do that for a few incidents and the locals play acting as rebels will stop doing so, leaving the professional agitators more exposed.
If that means using the Insurrection Act or if it can be done short of that I don’t know but the rioters are calling ICE bluff and we need ICE to respond.

President Trump must immediately invoke the Insurrection Act, and then send the 101st Airborne into Minneapolis to restore order.
Once order is restored and ICE has completed their mission, there must be prosecutions of the Minnesota politicians who fanned the flames of insurrection.

Is the administration really going to wait until one or more of these agents is killed before they actually do something about this ACTUAL insurrection by the left? Many thousands of people were dragged through court and prison for doing nothing more than questioning whether the 2020 election was stolen. It is not like the left didn’t set some serious precedent.
I’m afraid that even if an agent is killed, the administration won’t do anything differently.
They can’t right now, wrong personnel. DHS agents are doing the best they can but they are not riot police. They have sort of been hung out to dry by the administration. Actual POLICE need to take this over, wherever they come from.

I have lived in Minneapolis for 70 years and the last 8 have been unreal. Since Frey took over it has just gotten worse. The covid -Floyd era has not really faded and here we again with riots and mayhem running amok.
