Last night it was reported that a Russian submarine was following the tanker but not closely.
Some are speculating that the tanker was carrying some sort of high value weaponry out of Iran, possibly uranium.

Not reported in that article, but reported by WSJ and elsewhere… Russia sent a submarine to escort the ship. Expect a standoff of some sort, IMO… Russia has had no problem whatsoever literally buzzing USAF aircraft in the Black Sea region over the years, so all bets are off.
Seems the disposition of that “oil tanker” is a hot topic… some sort of alleged Russia-Venezuela-Iran-Hezbollah situation going on, which would make total sense, given the apparent heightened sensitivity.

Bella I was sanctioned in 2024 for smuggling cargo linked to Hizbollah.
I’d guess this ship was in the habit of not only picking up oil, but dropping off cargo in Venezuela as well.
That’s probably why it turned around without loading up on oil – to keep the incoming cargo out of US hands.
You aren’t going to get any accurate information from NBC, PBS, Tousi, or any other mainstream sources.
The Russia sub was escorting the tanker because the cargo was known to be high value and nobody wanted the tanker hijacked.
The tanker nor the cargo are Russian.
Whomever was driving the damn thing slapped a Russian flag on it.

I understand your perception that a “Republican” military would be ideal but history does not support such a theory. From personal experience, my service throughout the Viet Nam era and beyond found me with a mix of individuals having diverse political views, including unsuccessful draft dodgers to gung-ho full-blooded American youngsters ready to fight.
In my opinion, military service can be a terrific dose of reality to many who have not had a stable or positive life experience. Yes, some will hate it and break. Some will love it and thrive. The vast majority will honor their oath of enlistment and answer a call to defend America as ordered.
I respect your point of view, but if you have an opportunity to chat with some veterans, see if they might support your thoughts or provide some additional food for thought.

March Silver futures settled at the highest close for COMEX futures in history yesterday.

I live in MN. The anti-ICE protesters here are very well organized and motivated from all the rhetoric they hear from our “elected” local/state officials. I’m afraid things are only going to get worse in the Twin Cities and it’s feeling kinda George Floydish (anyone who lived in the Twin Cities during that time knows what I mean).
I am worried about what happens next; I don’t see the Trump administration backing down nor the anti-ICE people. The local police already won’t help and the Governor sure won’t now that he’s been forced to not run again. Things could get really ugly here.
PS: regarding the local media, KSTP Channel 5 televised one video that shows the car hitting the ICE agent, and that is extremely helpful in counteracting the “ICE murdered someone” theme that had initially been published (and amplified by the Minneapolis mayor Frey). The media here is super-left wing (although some of the TV stations have been covering the fraud) but in this case may have helped.
Almost all the media is left leaning, that’s why I go with the independents and alt venues.

She was blocking the road with her vehicle, the agents went to remove her from the vehicle, one has his arm inside as she starts driving… there is an agent in front of her vehicle and he pulls his gun… she proceeds to drive and he shoots through the windshield. Edit to add… he then comes around side of the vehicle after having shot through the windshield and shoots her two more times through the drivers side window.
My first impression is that the agent in front of the vehicle could have avoided being hit by the vehicle and he appeared to have pulled his gun before she actually moved the vehicle. He could have thought she was going to hit him, that the agent with his arm inside the vehicle was trapped….
Bottom line, she was blocking the road, she refused orders to exit the vehicle and then tried to drive off. She got shot before she could hit an agent.

Jin as much as I hate to agree with Texan it looked to me that if she wanted to hit officer she would not have turned the wheel enough to only hit his foot… To me, at least…looked like she was trying to get away from officer who was trying to enter car. In fleeing she tried to go between officer and other vehicle there by only hitting his foot. When officer hit her, her foot was stuck to accelerator, Officer had no choice but to make snap decision. Still will reserve final judgement till I see all videos.
It is much easier for me as I watch the video numerous times to try to assess what occurred during that incident. Unfortunately, this officer didn’t have the luxury of time when the 2000 lb SUV accelerated. He relied on his training. Because of that, I will not question what he was able to observe from his position in front of that SUV, nor will I question his actions.

-drive vehicle to block police progress and stop in the middle of the street (obstructing justice)

-drive, accelerate towards a police officer

In the Noem presser I think she said that the officer who fired was hit and dragged by a vehicle last spring. I would expect that officer to have made sure his training was up to date after that.

The problem for the Lefties is that there were multiple people videoing, so they can’t pull the fake, ‘she had her hands up narrative’ and pay the ‘witnesses’ to lie. She endangered herself and those around her and died as a result, which is a tragic outcome, but those ultimately responsible were those who instigated this confrontation (why so many news cameras?): the people who lied to her for years and literally weaponised her, and the people who will try to use her death to shield themselves from their years of criminal greed, negligence and incompetence.

The 48th anniversary of the Acca Larentia massacre is marked by the denunciation by Gioventù Nazionale of the attack by four militants from the Fratelli d’Italia youth organization while they were putting up posters, just hours before the commemoration in the capital for the disappearance of the youth members of the Youth Front, Franco Bigonzetti, Francesco Ciavatta, and Stefano Recchioni, victims of the January 7, 1978, attack. The four militants attacked, according to GN Roma president Francesco Todde, ended up “in hospital with serious injuries” after an attack “carried out by a commando of more than 20 political hate activists.” “The method,” GN emphasizes, “turns the clock back to the 1970s: about twenty far-left individuals used helmets, batons, knives, and walkie-talkies to avoid being intercepted. ‘That’s my wife… [unintelligible]… I have a six-year-old at school… we’re new here we don’t have anyone,’ came the reply.
FNC audio: ICE officer involved was dragged down street in similar incident two weeks ago.
Now that right there would explain why he did what he did, after surviving that first encounter I am sure he promised himself that it would never happen again.

Per DHS Kristi Noem presser, the agent who ended the confrontation was dragged by a vehicle a year ago. Not two weeks ago.
