The republican controlled CONgress is again stabbing President Trump in the back by restoring almost all White House’s proposed budget cuts in their latest “bipartisan plan” to avoid another shutdown on 31 Jan. There will NEVER be meaningful budget cuts in this nation. The cuts left in the bills are peanuts in the grand scheme. GOP deserves to lose 100 seats in the midterms.

Appropriators sprinkled cuts to some energy and environment programs throughout the spending package but avoided the much steeper reductions to Democratic-favored initiatives that the Trump administration proposed last year.
A number of energy and environment programs would maintain their current funding levels under the legislation. EPA is facing a $320 million, or 4 percent, cut to its top-line budget — a much smaller slash than the more than $4 billion reduction President Donald Trump requested.
DOE’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy would face a cut much smaller than the one proposed by Republicans. Democrats said the bill rejects Trump’s proposal to “zero out funding for critical solar, wind, and hydrogen research programs.”

Not long ago, I was at a thrift store over in Vermont.
I saw these women with two carts mounded right over, they were foreign, don’t even ask me what.
I make my way out to my car, they happen to be parked next to me, they are riding together in a brand new Volvo..
These people buy anything and everything of value at the thrift stores and then flip it on FB Marketplace and Ebay. A lot of this is under the table money, it’s in addition to their benefits, which are a lot, this all adds up to being able to afford a new Volvo.
Not that re-selling merchandise this way is illegal, BUT when you are supposedly a poor foreigner that needs these stores, buying up all good merchandise to do this which then deprives the entire customer base IN NEED. this is a pretty distasteful and shitty thing to do to a community that has done a whole lot to help your foreign asses.
There are many genuinely poor people that depend on these places and this is certainly not what the people that donate stuff have in mind- or they’d have sold their own high value stuff, they are trying to help locals out by donating it.
My point in this is to show that these people have nothing at all in common with us, assimilate? they don’t even want to have manners, be grateful and show respect for the places they live- where half the population never wanted them in the first place but was made to be “Tolerant”.
So the fraud, this comes from a mentality of screwing us over anyway they can, THIS is what their culture is.

Secretary of State Moves To Kill GOP Closed Primary Lawsuit
Texas Secretary of State Jane Nelson is asking a federal judge to dismiss the Republican Party of Texas’ lawsuit seeking to close GOP primaries, arguing the case is premature because the party has not yet adopted a binding closed-primary system.
Texas currently operates under an open primary system, meaning any registered voter—Republican, Democrat, or independent—may choose which party’s primary ballot to vote in on Election Day.
In 2024, GOP primary voters approved a ballot proposition supporting closed primaries, and delegates to the party’s convention that same year later adopted Rule 46, which would limit participation in Republican primaries to registered Republicans.
However, Nelson argues the current version of Rule 46 that was approved by the State Republican Executive Committee is temporary and will not take effect unless it is ratified by party delegates at a future state convention.

So, in a vigorous competitive two-party system, how does the GOP react?

So “the cost of doing business” in a notoriously corrupt sector such as, er,
keeping an eye on pre-kindergartners for a few hours each day is multi-billion-dollar fraud?
With Republicans like this, who needs Somalis?
America is the brokest nation in history: right now it has to pay back nearly forty trillion dollars
just to get back to having nothing in its pocket.
Nobody has ever done that before.
But how much less broke would it be if America was not content to live with Mike DeWine levels of “doing business”?

I think they need to look deeper into this story regarding Hilton rejecting DHS guests.
I have noticed when I stay at the Hilton and Marriotts, they USUALLY have multiple guests that look like homeless people or immigrants, (often with kids) staying there and enjoying the free breakfasts. Been happening for at least 5 years.
My thought was they made an agreement with the government to fill empty rooms with federal homeless money … or more likely to house the immigrants they were moving (trafficking?) around the US.
I wonder if this was why the owner was so freaked out about having ICE stay. I bet it was!
