Setting aside the assembly of research notes for topics and issues I am following; I turn to send a simple message on this holiest of holy nights. I am thankful for you in ways I will never be able to convey.
When we say “Merry Christmas” do we think about it?
This is the day of great joy, the greatest joy of all. Tonight, we celebrate a loving and purposeful blessing provided to us by our Creator. The universal truth. The pure perfection of a loving Child born in the most ordinary fashion for us, to us, to guide and share the most blessed and purposeful message that could ever be delivered to mankind: We are Loved.
The message in the story of Christ’s birth is pure love. Sit in the peace created by our acceptance and join together in joy.
Years from now, it is unlikely anyone will remember that thing they unwrapped. What they will remember, what will have much greater impact, is a message from YOU to THEM that they matter, that they too are loved.
Think about what “Merry Christmas” means, when you say it.
The Merry Christmas moment provided by you, will NEVER be forgotten.
That look in your eye or sound of your voice that reaches them and emphasizes their value, their worth, their importance; that is the gift they will remember in great detail, forever.
Hope is the necessary human element beyond all other facets of life. Give the gift of hope and light to those you love by first reminding yourself of the gift that a loving God has given us all. It is too easy in our human sense to forget the biggest gift we have been granted, the gift of life. The ability to live and choose how we engage in the lives of others.
Remind yourself when you say “Merry Christmas” of the kind of purposeful HOPE that would leave the most glorious throne to be born into a manger as a baby, only to grow into a Man willing to lay down His everything for the flawed people amid humanity. Why? Because that hope is pure. That love is perfect.
No politics or false sense of security can overwhelm the message of HOPE that a loving God has provided. No effort of man or human disposition can surmount the greatest love of all. The message of Christ’s birth is bigger and greater than any political or legislative battle.
“No power of hell, nor scheme of man” can come close to the purpose of God’s intent and love for you as a unique person qualified to receive that love.
Turn “Merry Christmas” into an action message.
Engage in the moments around saying “Merry Christmas” with a loving purpose filled with the HOPE that He provides. Fall forward to the centered purpose of your life, a very special life, and reflect on the gift we often are too busy to contemplate.
Merry Christmas, everyone!
“Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them, and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.” And He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” And He said, “Write, for these words are faithful and true.” Then He said to me, “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost.”
Revelation 21:1-6

“Merry Christmas” brings to mind my favorite Christmas Carol, We Three Kings:
Merry Christmas to everyone at CTH!
Merry Christmas to you as well, Sundance! And thank you, for all you do.
Christmas came early for me this year, when I joined the treehouse in September. I have learned so much here, and my soul has been nourished by the fellowship of kindred spirits. No small thing, to be sure.
May the wonders of the birth of our savior fill the hearts of each and every Treeper. In the words of Tiny Tim,
”God bless us, everyone!”
Merry Christmas Sundance and all Treepers. May God’s blessings 🙌 🙏 follow each and every one of you!
Merry Christmas Treepers, Ad Rems and Sundance. This site gives me hope that mankind is not completely lost. Our Jesus Christ is real. He lives in our hearts. Happy Birthday Jesus.

I think spell-check got you. Changed “tidings” to “things”
Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good *TIDINGS* of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
There are no words I can think of to describe the enjoyment I have had from this website. I have had years of laughter, sometimes concern, and been scolded many times…but I will always be here until I go to meet my creator. Sundance you have meant way much more than a son to me. You have filled a very empty soul with delight. 😛
So Im…
Never Gonna Give You Up
Amahl and the night visitors. NBC 1951 opera. This version from 1978. I grew up listening to the record and this is my favorite version. About 50 minutes. Just a neat wonderful story of the kings journey to see the child they visit the home of a poor widow and son. Who has heard of it and seen it?
I remember it from TV in the Sixties. I wish it would get shown again.
You Tube maybe.
We found a 1977 Christmas Show for the Johnny Cash TV Show there the other night. It was just great now as it was then. What TeeVee used to be.
Truly AMAZING!
Through tears we Thank You, Sundance!
ABUNDANT BLESSINGS,
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone even in the midst of sorrow…CHRIST is Risen!
Merry Christmas to you, too, Sundance and to all of my fellow CTH patrons of the Green Dragon Inn!
Merry Christmas To All

Thank you Sundance. Been seeing you quoted around the interwebs lately. Merry Christmas!
I realized tonight that the only congregation I need at this time in my life is the Treehouse. God bless us, Each and Every One (Tiny Tim).
Merry Christmas to all. Such a simple and beautiful greeting to share. Despite the disagreements we may have, we are all so blessed to call ourselves free Americans. That is the spirit we need to carry and reflect every day of the year.
Thank you SD, God bless you & the TH family.
Merry Christmas to all & to all a blessed good night!

The Philadelphia Opera Company doing a flash mob of the “Hallalujah Chorus” in Macy’s (formerly Wanamaker’s) great hall at Christmas.
Truly smiled when I couldn’t figure out which were the professional opera singers and which were “just” the customers happily singing along!
merry Christmas, the gift of information…

Hallelujah Chorus is my very favorite. It is inspirational to sing and hear sung. The root of this word give the true meaning.
Yes, Hallelujah (הַלְלוּיָהּ) is a Hebrew word, a powerful expression meaning Praise the Lord or Praise Yahweh, formed from two parts: Hallelu (praise ye) and Yah (a short form of God’s sacred name, Yahweh). It’s a key word in Jewish and Christian worship, found frequently in the Psalms and used globally as a joyful declaration of faith and thanks.
Breakdown of the word:
Hallelu (הַלְלוּ): An imperative (command) verb meaning “praise ye” or “let us praise,” addressed to multiple people.Yah (יָהּ): A shortened, personal name for God, derived from the longer name Yahweh (YHWH). The Hebrew language does not have vowels; hence, the a and e vowels being added to YHWH for pronunciation of non-Hebrews.
The greatest way to rise from an emotional issue, such as depression, is to just start praising God.
Merry Christmas to Sundance, Ad Rem, Stella, WeeWee, and all the wonderful Treepers who share in their wealth of knowledge
The Lord bless you, and keep you;
The Lord cause His face to shine on you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up His face to you,
And give you peace.’ Numbers 6:24-26
concise and educational, merry Christmas, MC
Thank You Sundance. May God bless you and all who dwell here.
A Merry and Blessed Christmas to All!
Merry Christmas, Sundance and all treepers!
May you Sundance , Ad rem , Menagerie all have a blessed Christmas. And I wish the same to all Treepers here.
God Bless Us All and Merry Christmas to every holy soul, that will never give up to carry the words and work of Jesus for our country and world. That music and song made me emotional, I remember singing that in the 4th grade Christmas event. The sacrifice Jesus gave us was so much bigger then we can ever do, but we will continue to do more.
My sincere wishes for all to enjoy this holiday with family and friends in ways never imagined.
If Jesus Were Born Today, Would He Survive the American Police State?
“After all, Jesus—the revered preacher, teacher, radical and prophet—was born into a police state not unlike the growing menace of the American police state.
Jesus was not born into comfort or security. He was born poor, without shelter, in an occupied land ruled by force and fear, under the watchful eye of a government obsessed with control, compliance, and the elimination of perceived threats. His parents were politically powerless. His birthplace was makeshift. His earliest days were shaped by fear of state violence.
Herod’s response to the news of the Messiah’s birth was not humility or reflection, but paranoia. Threatened by the mere possibility of a rival authority, Herod turned to brute force. The lesson is timeless: this is how tyranny operates. Unchecked power, when gripped by insecurity, will always seek to eliminate dissent rather than allow its own corruption to be confronted.
Modern governments, including our own, cloaked in the language of security and “law and order,” behave no differently. Any challenge to centralized power is treated as a threat to be neutralized. In such an environment, speaking truth to power is dangerous. Challenging imperial authority invites retaliation.”
Thank you Sundance may you have a truly blessed Christmas.
May all Treepsters have a joyful and loving Christmas as we celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus of Nazareth.
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!!
MAY ALL YOUR WISHES COME TRUE!
