Sundance replied and asked me to send him the Christmas Story and they would try to include it. We shall see. Early warning though; have tissues close at hand! No matter how many times I read it, I cry, albeit they are happy tears!
Updated you on the kitty antics on Cursday. Nothing new to report, except they are now sharing the bed at night with Beau and I. They are settling down some now.
Later, I have to go to the grocery store for some items as I am baking cookies today and making several salsas’, fresh cranberry salsa and mango salsa as gifts. I will be a busy lady today and tonight.
I forgot to tell you my computer whiz grandson came over for Thanksgiving and brought me a new computer for Christmas. He set it up for me while dinner was cooking. I now have a large monitor screen and do not have to deal with the small personal computer and the tiny keyboard. He always gives me what I really need for Christmas. Last year it was a large keyboard and a nice digital meat thermometer. I do not realize he is listening when I converse about my wants as opposed to my needs.

A quick story I’ve written about before…
My mother in law’s mother, a gracious lady I never knew, had four children during the Depression when four was considered too many (I guess). Someone had the bad grace to ask which of her four was her favourite.
Without missing a beat, she gently answered, “The one who needs me the most at the time”.
I thought her answer perfect because it’s true. And sweet, and lovely.
Brilliant gift!!! Her cats will LOVE IT!! A happy home has happy cats. Well done you 👍🏻😂💕

I finally gave up on indoor plants – Impossible! Plus, I worry about what might be poisonous to kitties. Gave away my very old (and beautiful) Christmas cactus last week to a fella who comes to do outdoor work for us. Miss my plants, but, it does make life easier and I am very fortunate to have a huge variety of outdoor trees and plants. A good trade!

Good evening Soaz. I dearly love Christmas cactus and Poinsettia but now with the cats, I will not get any.
The cats like to play with the frames that I attach the stem of orchids to when they bloom. They haven’t tried to eat them yet. I’m sure when they bloom, they will mess with them. Too much of a temptation.
I try hard to relay a picture of the chaos and goofy antics of the kittens so the treepers can maybe experience what my household situation currently is. Oh we are friends, along with the other treepers I have learned about and I love each and every one of you. You all are on my nightly prayer list.
It is the brightest spot of my day when I get a chance to log into the Last Refuge.
I miss Dutchman so much. I pray for Maquis. He was the very first treeper that responded to my first comment I made. In French and I had to look it up. I am worried about Jinxy as well. Have not seen any comments from him for awhile. I will continue to pray for them too.

Good afternoon Soaz. Love the hugging cat and kitten photo. The kitten is quite close to looking like Pumpkin, the rebel of the kittens here.
How are Louisa and Olive doing? Give them scratches behind their ears for me. Looks like your weather has been pleasant. I do sometimes miss the Arizona winters, but do not miss the summer heat!
Funny thing is, I did not mind the winters in the mountains. I think it was a drier climate up there so moisture was not a problem for these old bones!
The other thing I miss is that I did not have allergy problems up there. Here my allergies are bad, especially right now as the juniper and cedar pollen is quite high and when we get a good breeze going, I start sneezing and my eyes start itching and watering. I will go through a lot of tissues the next three months.

You might look at a product called “Xlear”, Pat. As a lifelong allergy suffer I discovered it (on Amazon). It has made all the difference for me, especially during the worst times.

H-E-B exclusively carries a homeopathic pill called TexaClear and is strictly made with all the irritants of the state of Texas and it includes relief from Cedar Fever. It is 90 tablets and is quite reasonably priced for 90 tablets. Normally mornings are the worse for me, then I take one of these and I am good to go for the rest of the day unless it is really windy out, then I just take another one. You can take up to three a day. They are chewable. I will check out the “Xlear” as well. Fortunately my allergies do not bother me much through the night, which I am grateful for.

I’ve been on this planet a while now and I thought those paper bags were banned to “save the trees” so we went to disposable / recyclable plastic T-Shirt bags.
How did we “circle back” to paper again??? who decided to cut down the trees again … Greta??? since she wasn’t born during the 1st paper bag ban.
As someone pointed out in the thread…. getting the T-Shirt bags off Amazon, I always used to get them off of Sams club, last I saw they had 3 colors of them & I keep at least 2 bags in my back pocket for those grocery emergency’s.
For those that do not know health code restaurant rules for those “reusable” bags they sell you, I watched a health inspector hit one of my employees for putting her purse on a table top. (I knew what was coming)
Stopped and asked her… why did you put your purse on table, then went on to ask, where do you put your purse when you go to the restroom? … On the floor….. think about that…. that’s why you don’t put your purse on a clean table. Same goes for those reusable bags you put on your table at home to unload and then reuse.
Paper bags are biodegradable and plastic bags end up as litter everywhere, including the waterways and oceans where they’re a threat to marine life.
My city requires certain garbage to be disposed of in plastic bags. I have carefully maintained a garbage pail that fits the store bags for 32 years and I use the store bags for that garbage. By the time a grocery bag is full of garbage it’s time to get it out of the house anyway. I’m recycling 😏

Same with shoes! You walk in public bathrooms then wear your shoes in your/someone’s home.

Frequent overflows of toilets. Sometimes you’ll hear a great big unholy gurgling and sewage will flow onto the floor.
While waiting my turn I notice feet in a stall…..and their cell phone on the floor.

I’m sure I cause eye rolling galore at my local grocery stores when I give them my standard lecture on why reusable bags of any sort are unsanitary (to say the least). It starts with diapered baby butts, dog butts, and moves on to what’s been in your car seat and…… the finale – rest room floors. YUK!!!!!!!
I have never put my purse on a restroom floor, rarely on any floor.
However, my husband will put his sneakers on a table top or counter from time to time. And just where have those shoes been? On the restroom floor! Needless to say, I explode. 🤯 💥
May I suggest avoiding this paper/plastic? problem altogether?…
DIY/ make (or buy) duck or canvas shopping bags – never need plastic or paper bags again.
There also exists produce bags so that category of plastic-scourge can also be avoided…

when there is no hook in the restroom stall on which to hang a purse, hang it on the tissue roll dispenser.
I look for or ask for a place to *hang* my purse in someone’s house – back of a chair is the most-usual perfect spot.
When you get home, leave the outside shoes at the door… and likewise I ask at someones home though almost nobody else seems to have the habit of ‘no outside shoes in the house’ (I don’t get why not).

Tesla just got the green light from the FCC to use Starlink terminals on moving vehicles… aka, satellite internet in your car is officially on the way.
Basically, Tesla filed a patent covering a vehicle roof assembly that is transparent to radio frequencies, specifically noting that it allows for satellite communications to pass through.
That’s important, as signals from SpaceX satellites can’t reliably penetrate glass or metal.
This project isn’t theoretical either, it means Teslas could soon have an always-on, high-speed internet powered by SpaceX’s global Starlink network.
Forget losing signal in remote areas, your car could stream Netflix in the desert, get OTA updates in the mountains, or run Full Self-Driving with real-time data literally anywhere on Earth.
If you thought Teslas were already futuristic, this is next level.
We still don’t know when or if this is coming to Tesla vehicles, but the patent filing is our best sign yet that it’s coming soon.

He enlisted in the army in 1942, and eventually became a flight officer: participating in airlifts over the Himalayas. My dad was stationed in Patna, India for a time as a B-29 mechanic and worked on those transport planes. Needless to say, he was a big Gene Autry fan.

COMMENTARY FOR MATTHEW 18
The importance of humility. (1-6) Caution against offences. (7-14) The removal of offences. (15-20) Conduct towards brethren. The parable of the unmerciful servant. (21-35)
(1-6) Christ spoke many words of his sufferings, but only one of his glory; yet the disciples fasten upon that, and overlook the others. Many love to hear and speak of privileges and glory, who are willing to pass by the thoughts of work and trouble. Our Lord set a little child before them, solemnly assuring them that unless they were converted and made like little children, they could not enter his kingdom. Children, when very young, do not desire authority, do not regard outward distinctions, are free from malice, are teachable, and willingly dependent on their parents. It is true that they soon begin to show other dispositions, and other ideas are taught them at an early age; but these are marks of childhood, and render them proper emblems of the lowly minds of true Christians. Surely we need to be daily renewed in the spirit of our minds, that we may become simple and humble, as little children, and willing to be the least of all. Let us daily study this subject, and examine our own spirits.

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
