Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

Just thought this song was kind of fun
Good CATURDAY morning, Garrison and Tink 😘🎄☕😽 Makes me wistful to see the reference to NY life which evokes all sorts of memories of a different era in that once great city. For those of us of a certain age it has changed out of all recognition…but thank goodness we can reclaim the way it was through music…the perfect ingredient for those mental cocktails I’m enjoying more and more as each day passes. Music and memories…there’s no way you can drink too many and be “over the limit” 😎 Keep pouring, Bartender!!
Here come the moggies…😸

Absolutely love the “kitty bathroom,” complete with paws under the door – very relatable!
Darn near didn’t post 😂
It is soooo spot on, sis. And, if I don’t make sure the bathroom door is securely closed, 2 very large dogs join in. Bet the burros would too if they could!
The image you’ve painted, Corny 😂
Ohhhh…I don’t know. With a cat, never underestimate 🎄😼🎄
It will do I suppose…

Good morning, sister mine 💕☕🎄
I sense this lovely scene is from across the pond because I spy with my little eye a tiny, sweet British robin much loved at Christmas. Thank you…

Right, Miss P???

As long as were all together on those, all will be well 😉
Mornin’ Dear Patience
I did indeed take ballet lessons as a child – never looked that cute in a tutu!
Oh, Lady
Bet you were adorable 🥰
-and quite a big-little ‘personality’!
You know, my lessons were in a very old farmhouse. The kitchen actually had a hand pump for water.
I was about 6, and my teacher, Miss Silvia, was an escapee from communist Romania (or Czechoslovakia). I thought she was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen.
my mom was a real ballet dancer. I never could get up on my toes wearing her shoes, try as i might. no tu tu however
Darn, Idaho
Wanted a picture of you in that tutu. Ballerinas awesome lovely and graceful – bet that was your mom. ❤️
I’m like the ‘bigger’ dancer from Dance of the Hours
ha ha ha ha ha
Loved this when I was a child!!
you can’t fool me
there’s still a child inside
you ‘play’ for us every day
love ya!
Oh thank you so much for this video. That is one of my favorite scenes from Fantasia. I had forgotten how much fun that was. It made me laugh until I cried!
you’ve no idea how many hours i spend on those pirouettes – pant pant
Well Ah do declare…said in my best Scarlett voice 😎
(Use your imagination😉)

Mornin’ Dear Bets
We watched Miracle on 34th St last night – the B&W version (1947). Got into the same discussion regarding the greatness and wonder of NYC.
I grew up about 60 miles out in a CT suburb. My friends and I would take the train in and switch to the subway to go to places like Macy’s, Gimbels, the World’s Fair – at 15 years old! When the Beatles were in town, we went to the Peppermint Lounge, just to stand in the same place they had been. 😁 No parent in their right mind would allow that now, but Fun Times!
Haven’t been to NYC in many many years, and have no desire to do so- especially now. Pretty sad commentary.
But, we always have Caturday wherever we reside! ❤️
Morning, dear Corny 😘 Gotta say….the black and whites have their charms. Younger generations wouldn’t understand. I think for us oldies partly because in watching them, we aren’t just seeing an old movie, but we are reliving times from which these wonderful movies and actors came, when our America was in a much better place World War notwithstanding. Which also the younger generations would not be able to comprehend….sigh….😔 It’s a Wonderful Life should always remain in its original b/w form…and my favourite, The Bishop’s Wife”.
It was safe then for you and your friends to venture as far as you did. I hear you about the parents. Never EVER thought to see the day when as a grandmother there would be no way I’d let my littles not play outside in the front yard. Even now that our nearest ones are grown and driving (the twin lads travelling hundreds of miles back and to from their universities with their sister following next year), I cannot rest easily knowing what’s out there.
The Beatles, eh?? The closest I got to them was watching “A Hard Day’s Night” in our local theatre. I would have been dripping with envy! ON second thought had I lived near you, I guarantee I would have been travelling with you!! 😁👍🏻
Now Chris? He got closer, taking the ferry across the Mersey from Birkenhead to Liverpool when they were performing in the Cavern, right on the cusp of their international fame. BEAT THAT!!! 😂 😂 😂
Oh wow! Chris experienced the real deal! No wonder he’s your number One!
Had a friend who went into the Beatles dressing room when they played Shea Stadium, and retrieved some ABC gum. For you younguns’ out there, that is “already been chewed!”
She was convinced it was Ringo’s.
He did….too bad I didn’t know him then 😂
Oh dear gosh !! 😂 😂 😂
Good afternoon Betsy. As always, you have delighted me, and brought many grins with the Caturday images today.
I let the cats into my room last night and they behaved themselves. Maizie slept with Beau and I, Beau on one side of me and Maizie on the other side. The others may have also climbed up at some point but I didn’t actually see them.
In 1964, my dad was stationed in Philadelphia and surprised my sisters and I with tickets to see the Beatles at the stadium in Philadelphia. It was such a surprise as he would taunt us about the four Brit. singers we
so loved. That was Dad though, always thinking of keeping his girls happy. I know that mom and him sacrificed to give us this thrill too, and I will be forever grateful for that sacrifice to grant us with a dream come true.
Have a most blessed day Betsy.
What a lovely story from your childhood, Pat.
The depth of your father and mother’s love and the sacrifice which made you so happy…there goes my heart. Which I am sure the older you have become you appreciate even more. While I know you girls were so grateful at the time, remembering their gift must bring you to tears on occasion. Age has a way of doing that. As much joy as you were given, I’m sure your father’s and mother’s surpassed it. 💕
What superb news on the kits!! Little by little, then one day suddenly and all at once. I love following your trials and victories with the little messes loving heart is growing fonder of, sis. Can’t tell you how much a part of our CATURDAYs they have beome. Blessed be the rest of your weekend, Pat.
Good afternoon Soaz. My girlfriends and I, when we turned 18, took the train from Philadelphia to New York City and stayed in Greenwich Village over night. The drinking age was 18 in NYC, and we wanted to see what all the ado was about drinking adult beverages. Loved Gimbels and Macy’s. The department stores popular in Pennsylvania were Strawbridge-Clothier and Wannamakers, (not sure of the spelling). My Grandmom’s favorite was Strawbridge-Clothier.
I can not remember the last time I was in NYC, but it was a very long time ago, and also have no desire to go back. Yes it is a sad commentary.
I was born in Philadelphia and it was a wonderful city back then, but we moved to the suburbs when I was about six. Even as teens we would take the elevated train from the suburbs into Philadelphia. The end of the line was 69th street, close to the original American Bandstand studio. Never got to get in there as you had to be sixteen and by the time I was sixteen, they had moved to California.
I’m glad I have some good memories of those two cities before they got such bad reputations.
When I was about 3 to 4, we spent time in Groton, CT. at the submarine base where my dad was stationed for, I think, two years.
Your contributions to Caturday are great and I also took ballet lessons. Believe it or not took ballet lessons when I moved here to Texas at the age of 49 and it was a wonderful way to stretch all those muscles and keep me reasonably limber for the horse ranch and the riding.
Have a blessed and wonderful day.
This is true tree treasure
It’s wonderful
Thank you ladies
Love the stories
☘️
Peace to you Betsy
☘️
Molon
Dear Mo I thank you 💕 We haven’t announced a venue yet 😉 But when we do, you’ll be the first to know, dear friend 👍🏻😘
Pat
For a couple years, we lived in Waterford, CT – adjacent to New London and Groton.
The sub base provided boat trips out to a sub that was moored in the Thames – and we got the tour. And……always loved welcoming the subs that had been out on duty. Bet I welcomed you dad! ❤️
You may have seen my dad working on the subs in drydock. He was in damage control so he did not go out on duty in the subs.
He was stationed his entire Navy career, (almost 30 years) on Aircraft Carriers. He was the first crew on four carriers, The USS Forrestal, The USS Saratoga and the first nuclear powered carrier, The USS Enterprise, can not for the life of me remember the fourth carrier’s name. The only one I got to see commissioned was the USS Enterprise. That was a thrill for a young pre-teen!
Amazing man

Great story, Pat. . . 🙂
Thank you. I love hearing the different experiences from all of you here in TCTH. thank you all for the wonderful companionship, stories and memories that are brought out of my memory banks with all the music and images posted. Love you all.
Have a wonderful and blessed weekend.
True story, dear lady . . . Back in my hippie days, my buddy and I delivered his professor’s Peugeot 404 to Long Island, NY. We were in downtown NYC, headed for the Long Island Expressway when a Swedish embassy car pulled alongside us at a stoplight. Noticing the two hippies in a Texas Peugeot, the embassy guy lowered his window and said “Texas. . . ? What are you doing here?”
Hearing this, I couldn’t resist. In my best affected Texas accent, I said “Ya’all! know sump’in? This place ain’t bigger’in Dallas! . . .” A nonplussed embassy guy just laughed and said he’d have to go see Dallas . . .
Love this remembrance, Garrison.
Isn’t it amazing what us old ginks can remember when prompted?
Makes for some of my very favorite posts. Thanks! ❤️
Hi Garrison. Love this story. I bet that embassy guy did visit Dallas! This is what I love so much about the treepers. All the wonderful memories they share with all of us.
Afternoon, dear Bet. Just returned from a leisurely lunch at a favorite Taqueria—their chicken-tortilla-soup is not only filling but delicious, a real favorite. Been eating there since the now owners were teenagers. Little ?Tink and I slept late this morning and, of course, she stayed on my shoulder until I finally got up about 10:30. She’s such a gentle and loyal kitty now. It’s truly amazing that not too long ago she was a feral kitty, anti-social and hiding from everyone.
I also find these musical images to be nostalgic. The authors’ do a very good job of creating inviting, imaginary worlds that are perfectly matched by the soft jazz music. Yeah, images and music are both artificial but like the ‘net itself they have become inviting icons intended for our enjoyment. I’d love to come across a real coffee shop and neighborhood as comfortably inviting as those depicted in these images. . .
You are so right about how this one (along with others) reminds us of a sadly now vanished world. Since my dad drove busses for a living I was often exposed to sketches of urban life that my little town didn’t have.
When I was about 15 or so, he announced that I was “g-r-o-w-e-d” and was therefore expected to act like a grownup. This was an important sign of passage in his Appalachian culture. I don’t think that’s even possible in today’s world. Hell, even “grownups” don’t act like grownups any more.
Honestly, I think we were fortunate to grow to maturity in that world. As for now . . . I’m comfortably settling into becoming “the old guy who lives quietly at the end of the street.” Doin’ fine at that task, thank you very much.
We were fortunate, dear Garrison, though we had no appreciation of it at the time. That’s the sorrowful part of living our lives going forward and not backwards. As Kierkegaard wrote, paraphrasing, this is something we can’t change…and so we move on.
On the other hand, in recognizing it, doesn’t it make us appreciate our older, finer moments as we live them? The simple but perhaps unexpected pleasures which we may believe have passed us by? Or the pleasures which we might have once not recognized as such? For me one is an unhurried cup of tea, nowhere I have to be, and the wonderful conversations amongst fellow Tree dwellers.
I always remember your father’s having driven buses. You may remember my Chris in one his many iterations did as well…tours, then schools. He repaired them as well and kept them running. Which is how we met nearly forty years ago. He’s seen whole of Europe, the UK, and Ireland. And he has seen the best and the worst of humanity…oh, the stories!!
People very much underestimate the skills it takes to operate a bus. I must count myself as one, at least until we met and I could see the ones Chris had.
Please make lots of extra fusses for sweet Tink. There isn’t a time when I think of you that I don’t think of her. And am so grateful you have one another. Lucky you, lucky Tink 😌💕
Or as I prefer to believe, maybe not lucky so much as definitely blessed 😘😽
Afternoon Dear Garrison
I was so lucky to”know” NYC when it was primo: vibrant, almost breathtaking really. As a small child, staring up from the sidewalk to the tippy top of the Empire State Building was literally dizzying.
Sadly, the reality of NYC today is almost antithetical. Glad I have my memories. ❤️
🙂 Thanks for sharing, love.

Jefferson Davis
(June 3, 1808 – December 6, 1889)
was an American politician who served as the President of the Confederate States from 1861 to 1865 during the American Civil War. A member of the Democratic Party, Davis was previously a U.S. Senator from Mississippi and the U.S. Secretary of War under President Franklin Pierce.
Born in Kentucky and raised in Mississippi, Davis graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point. He served as an officer in the United States Army, but resigned his commission to become a cotton planter in Mississippi. His political career began when he was elected to the House of Representatives, but he left to fight in the Mexican-American War, where he served with distinction.
As a U.S. Senator, Davis advocated for states’ rights, including the right to maintain and expand slavery. He argued that each state was sovereign and had an unquestionable right to secede from the Union. These beliefs formed the foundation of his leadership of the Confederacy during the Civil War.

Lead Belly
(January 20, 1888 – December 6, 1949)
Notable for his strong vocals, virtuosity on the twelve-string guitar, and the songbook of folk standards he introduced. Although he most commonly played the twelve-string, he could also play the piano, mandolin, harmonica, violin, and accordion.
In some of his recordings, such as in one of his versions of the folk ballad “John Hardy”, he performs on the accordion instead of the guitar. In other recordings he just sings while clapping his hands or stomping his foot.

Roy Orbison
(April 23, 1936 – December 6, 1988)
was an American singer, songwriter, and musician known for his impassioned singing style, complex song structures, and dark, emotional ballads. His music was described by critics as operatic, earning him the nicknames “The Caruso of Rock” and “The Big O”. Many of Orbison’s songs conveyed vulnerability at a time when most male rock-and-roll performers chose to project machismo. He performed while standing motionless and wearing black clothes to match his dyed black hair and dark sunglasses.
Biography: Roy Orbison could sing across three octaves and was famous for emotional ballads that blended rock and roll with pop. Orbison often performed standing still while wearing dark sunglasses, creating a unique stage presence.
Orbison rose to fame in the early 1960s with hits like “Only the Lonely” (1960), “Crying” (1961), and “Oh, Pretty Woman” (1964). After a decline in popularity during the late 1960s and 1970s, he experienced a career resurgence in the 1980s. In 1988, Orbison joined the supergroup Traveling Wilburys with George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, and Jeff Lynne.
Throughout his career, Orbison released numerous albums and singles that showcased his distinctive voice and songwriting skills. His music influenced many later artists and earned him multiple Grammy Awards, including a Lifetime Achievement Award. Orbison was also inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

American Baptist Church Erects Perverted Nativity to Protest ICE Enforcing the Law
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2025/12/american-baptist-church-erects-perverted-nativity-protest-ice/
“Sometimes the worst sins originate with people who pose as Christians.
Indeed, nothing but the sin of pride could compel so-called Christians to use Jesus’ birth as a political prop.
Last month on Facebook, Lake Street Church of Evanston, Illinois, posted photos of a monstrous “Nativity” scene distorted for the purpose of protesting Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents’ lawful enforcement of federal immigration statutes amid the unlawful interference of maniacal leftists.
“This installation re-imagines the nativity as a scene of forced family separation, drawing direct parallels between the Holy Family’s refugee experience and contemporary immigration detention practices,” the church wrote.”
I never understood St. Paul’s prohibition on women speaking in church:
1 Corinthians 14:34-35“Women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the law says.”
1 Timothy 2:11-12“A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man; she must be quiet.”
I am beginning to understand it now. It seems like every church falling away from the teachings of the Bible (with the exception of the socialist popes of the Roman Catholic church) are the ones that ordain women.
Denominations That Ordain Women
United Methodist Church: Accepts women as pastors and leaders; embraces a commitment to social justice and equality.
Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA); Fully ordains women and supports them in leadership roles.
Presbyterian Church (USA): Has allowed the ordination of women since the 1950s; women serve in various leadership capacities.
United Church of Christ (UCC): Affirms the ordination of women and promotes inclusivity within church leadership.
Disciples of Christ: Women have been ordained and serve as ministers since the early days of the denomination.
American Baptist Churches USA: As previously discussed, affirms the role of women in ministry leadership.
Reformed Church in America (RCA): Supports women in leadership roles, although interpretations can vary among congregations.
Church of the Nazarene: Ordains women as ministers and leaders, emphasizing the equal calling to service.
These denominations showcase a commitment to inclusivity in ministry and leadership roles for women within their congregations.
It’s a Who’s Who of Christians gone wrong.
Mary Speaks to Gabriel
☘
“The Holy Spirit will come on you. The power of the Most High will cover you. The holy Child you give birth to will be called the Son of God.
Then Mary said,
“I am willing to be used of the Lord. Let it happen to me as you have said.”
These “woke” churches miss the point of the scriptures completely, proving that its regenerating power does not operate within them. The central and overwhelming point of Christ’s coming was not to improve the way we relate to each other, but to repair our relationship with God and make it possible, again, for us to enjoy the fellowship with Him that was lost in Eden. The only way that was possible was for Christ to be born, according to the scriptures, to live a sinless life, according to the scriptures, and to die as a sacrifice for our sins, again according to the scriptures.
Churches like this “have a form of godliness but deny its power,” as mentioned in 2 Timothy 3:5 as a characteristic of the final chapter in human history – the last days. It’s not surprising that when the scripture is not central to their message that what little scripture they give credence to comes out in a perverted form. The bible warns us to stay away from such places.
J
Do they ordain LGBTQ yet? God wants men to be men and women to be women. Each of the 2 genders has it’s responsibilities and duties.

✟
“The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.”
Psalms 121:5 (KJV)
COMMENTARY FOR PSALMS 121
The safety of the godly.
– We must not rely upon men and means, instruments and second causes. Shall I depend upon the strength of the hills? upon princes and great men? No; my confidence is in God only. Or, we must lift up our eyes above the hills; we must look to God who makes all earthly things to us what they are. We must see all our help in God; from him we must expect it, in his own way and time. This psalm teaches us to comfort ourselves in the Lord, when difficulties and dangers are greatest. It is almighty wisdom that contrives, and almighty power that works the safety of those that put themselves under God’s protection. He is a wakeful, watchful Keeper; he is never weary; he not only does not sleep, but he does not so much as slumber. Under this shade they may sit with delight and assurance. He is always near his people for their protection and refreshment. The right hand is the working hand; let them but turn to their duty, and they shall find God ready to give them success. He will take care that his people shall not fall. Thou shalt not be hurt, neither by the open assaults, nor by the secret attempts of thine enemies. The Lord shall prevent the evil thou fearest, and sanctify, remove, or lighten the evil thou feelest. He will preserve the soul, that it be not defiled by sin, and disturbed by affliction; he will preserve it from perishing eternally. He will keep thee in life and death; going out to thy labour in the morning of thy days, and coming home to thy rest when the evening of old age calls thee in. It is a protection for life. The Spirit, who is their Preserver and Comforter, shall abide with them for ever. Let us be found in our work, assured that the blessings promised in this psalm are ours.
Commentary by Matthew Henry, 1710.

Verse of the Day – December. 6, 2025 (Morning Prayer)
___________________________
Thank You, Jesus, for blessings received and prayers answered !!!
And, a beautiful Saturday to you, Duchess. Thanks for all you give.
Still have a few roses hanging in!
WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

Good afternoon Thor III. Really love this ad video. If I wanted to go somewhere different for the Holidays and had the finances to do so, this would be the place I would probably go to. It looks quite beautiful there.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Thank you, Patthenavybrat. I wholeheartedly agree.
My weekend has begun wonderfully…..we got SNOW! Well, everything was white for a bit and then the mercury climbed but I’ll take it.

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.

SHEPHERD OF MY HEART
The Shepherd keeps watch over His flock;
He daily checks hearts – then, He takes stock;
If one has been tempted and led astray;
He pursues and prods lest one slip away!
Carefully crafted by our God are we;
Inside our hearts – He can clearly see;
When we accept Jesus – as Lord of all;
We answer to Jesus – the Shepherd’s call!
Oh, Lord – let me never stray from the flock;
May you always find me when you take stock;
If some day – I should be tempted and stray;
Come after me, Lord – let me not slip away!
You know in my heart – Your Spirit resides;
Be sure in my heart – Your Spirit abides;
I lay at your feet – the trials of the day;
Shepherd of my Heart – be not far away!
Direct and perfect me in all I do;
Let my labor be blessed – pleasing to You;
Let all that I am and ever will be;
Give Honor and Glory only to Thee!
Whenever I’m stumbling along the way;
Reach out to me – set me upright – I pray;
Separated from You – I pray not to be;
Shepherd of My Heart – stay close to me!
Keeper of this heart of mine – be patient;
For I am but human – sometimes I’m salient;
Not paying attention – distracted am I;
With worldly concerns – in the blink of an eye!
Be the sunlight of my day – a ray of hope;
Help me, Oh Lord – to steadfastly cope;
Be the light of my night – a bright beacon;
The Shepherd of My Heart – my church deacon!
Wash and cleanse me – as I repent today;
Purify me – in Your Word and Your Way;
Let not my sin separate us for long;
Shepherd of my Heart – to You, I belong!
Strengthen me daily – that I may not stray;
Keep me securely in Your arms today;
I trust in You – above all – and I pray;
Shepherd of My Heart – guide my heart today!

Blessed are all who wait for the Lord.
☘
Praise the Lord, for he is good;
sing praise to our God, for he is gracious;
it is fitting to praise him.
The Lord rebuilds Jerusalem;
the dispersed of Israel he gathers.
He heals the brokenhearted
and binds up their wounds.
He tells the number of the stars;
he calls each by name.
Great is our Lord and mighty in power:
to his wisdom there is no limit.
The Lord sustains the lowly;
the wicked he casts to the ground.
Blessed are all who wait for the Lord.

Good afternoon annie. I have made this soup many times. It is the best bean soup! You have made me hungry for it, so I will go get the bean mix and make some this coming week.
Really like the curtains using flour sack towels and ribbon. I am going to make some for my window as well for the Christmas Holiday.
Have a most blessed and wonderful weekend.
hi pat ♥️
i agree, best bean soup ever .. my ham bone had alot of ham still on it … omgosh ♥️
sooo happy you’ll be using the flour sack towels for curtains also .. ( that’s the reason i posted the photo, to share the idea ) ♥️ i folded mine exactly in half to make them short so they wouldn’t lay on the countertop.. but sometimes i’ll leave them long also . so affordable you can change them all during the year to go with every season and holiday.. enjoy your w/e ! ♥️
i admit i have an obsession with flour sack kitchen towels .. i buy them all the time .. they’re usually around $4 … so while i was in the kitchen yesterday..
i made some Christmas themed cafe curtains..
using flour sack towels and tulle hair bows that i got on clearance last year ♥️
they make me happy ♥️
