I don’t have a link to the article. I read earlier that an Admiral has come forward stating that he authorized the strikes on the boats. Not Hegseth. Democrats just had another talking point that will fade away.
President Trump said he “wouldn’t have wanted” the second strike and said Hegseth denied ordering the killing of any survivors. This would seem to leave it on the head of the Admiral.
John Yoo, a very pro-Trump constitutional lawyer, says any second strike killing helpless survivors is highly illegal by both American and international law. He even said that, at the point, it was their duty to rescue them.
Conservative legal commentator Andy McCarthy has strongly condemned the reported U.S. military strike that killed two survivors of a prior attack on a suspected drug boat, calling the action “at best, a war crime under federal law”. He also said “Even if you buy the untenable claim that they are combatants, it is a war crime to intentionally kill combatants who have been rendered unable to fight. It is not permitted to order that no quarter be given , to apply lethal force to those who surrender or who are injured, shipwrecked, or otherwise unable to fight.”
This is a big deal and it’s not going away anytime soon.
Excellent points she makes regarding the invasion by 3rd world countries and the steps PDT is taking to protect mainland USA. A simple $500 bounty paid to any US citizen for every illegal invader turned over to ICE would be a bargain for taxpayers. This illegal invasion and the fraud draining welfare systems would be over in a month
